The Boot Factory at Artist Residence

Loved the vibe of this place. Came here with a couple of friends on a work evening to catch up. Quality of food was great, the server was very friendly and had a good attention to detail. We were able to stay for a long time aswell to just chill and have a gossip (which i absolutely love because some restaurants will ask you to leave so they can have the table even if it isnt busy).

Sunday roast was delicious if a bit pricey. Our party had the vegan roast and the chicken. Both were delicious with really fresh ingredients. The venue is gorgeous with a trendy ambiance and lots of art. I had an oat matcha latte and they also had local ales and ciders on tap.

Disappointing! This venue has gone downhill loads since it originally opened. (We had returned there for breakfast.) There is limited menu choice, especially for vegetarians. Service was slow, food uninteresting, poor value and inadequate in presentation. Nb, the venue was inadequately heated. We won’t be going back, as it’s all decor over substance.

Arrive and was told to seat myself. Waited 10 mins only to have to attract the waiter's attention when he was checking in at a nearby table. He then asked me what I wanted and I had to ask for the menu first. After receiving the menu, he came back mins later expecting me to order even though I was on a call and had now been in the venue for 25mins. So, 2 mins more was going to make much difference. Ordered the french toast and it was disappointing portion wise but the bacon was crispy.

Nice cozy place. Love the decoration and friendly stuff. The coffee was really good.

A lovely, cool bar/cafe tucked away just off Portland Square. Excellent cocktails and drinks are served by attentive and well trained staff. The walls are decorated with a wide range of art works. Cosy banquets and quirky furniture add to the charm. The customers are a diverse mix of hip, young people (and me)!

Very very good a Breakfast and customer service

Nice artist decor space, wonderful atmosphere, amazing food and incredible service by Oscar W. We have tried focaccia, lamb, mussels (small), Cornish sardines.
