Amazing place to stay and such good value for centre of Cheltenham. Loved the luxury feel and style of the rooms. Beautiful en suite. The lounge was a bonus and we spent a nice relaxing hour or two sitting reading there and having a nightcap from the honesty bar before going to bed. The complimentary sloe gin in the room was a nice touch. Lovely bright breakfast room and good breakfast - extensive choice and a bit different from the norm. The menu gave a very good description of each of the options. The staff were very friendly and courteous. Would highly recommend and would love to stay again.

Such a beautiful place, a nice welcome, a beautiful four poster room with large NetSuite,. We spent the evening down in the lounge, loads of old curios, and complimentary cakes, and reading the many books there.. The room was beautiful, Four poster is very comfy, couldn't fault anything. The breakfast was lovely, we opted for the full English, and a buffet bar for cereals, fruit, yogurt, croissants.. This small hotel is beautiful, with loads of character and soul..and such friendly hosts. Would definitely recommend, and will be coming here again.. Thank you for making our stay a special one.. :-)

Absolutely fantastic. Lots of lovely touches in the room like chocolates on the bed, hot water bottle in preparation for cold night. We were greeted by Kerry,, who was lovely and even better, we were offered a complimentary Gin & Tonic on arrival. Breakfast was superb, we will definitely return.

Very nice bed and breakfast establishment. We had a good size room on the first floor, lovely high ceiling. Warm welcome. Free electric car charging. Let down a little by the breakfast which went over the line from relaxed service to just slow. Otherwise a very nice place to stay.

Well where can I start … we booked this place as it was advertised on the daily telegraph as one of the best hotels in Cheltenham with the AA five star rating. But the “for sale” sign outside the property should have warned us of what we were to encounter inside. The supposedly boutique style hotel as advertised was just a shabby run down bed and breakfast. We had paid £120 for a room with balcony. What we got was a tiny room and a dirty decked balcony which was accessed through the window by climbing onto a wooden box!! It was the most uninviting balcony I had ever seen. The room and the beddings were old and not fresh. The smell of cleaning product in the room was overwhelming when we first entered it. Had to open the window to breath. The handle and the lock on the door was loose and coming off. The host had strange and condescending attitude. My husband I didn’t feel comfortable nor safe to stay. We left and booked into Hotel du vin around the corner. We didn’t even ask for a refund as didn’t want any confrontation with the strange host. I’ve given this dreadful place one star just because of its location. It might be worth £40 a night for people who are on a tight budget but certainly not £120 ! The adverts are misleading and I really don’t know how some of the other reviewers have given good reviews about this place.

Location is excellent, walking distance to everything. The rooms on the website looked grander than they did in person and didn't feel like it was a 5 star hotel, or worth the price paid. Breakfast also took a long time to arrive which made us leave late. However, it was still a comfortable stay and the host/owner was very nice.

Convenient and quiet location, and spiffiingly-appointed guest lounge to relax in (with chocolate eggs and lemon drizzle cake on offer). Pleasant room, and very nice breakfasts with plenty of choice. Had trouble making shower cool enough to stand under, and heavier curtains to block out light would have been good. The nearby museum well worth a vist.

Brilliantly located, impeccable rooms and very pleasant and accommodating staff. Oh and the breakfast is satisfying too with a great fresh fruit salad, cooked food as well as options for those with food allergies or intolerances (dairy free milk, gluten free bread). Maybe just ask about these before your arrival. Had a great stay and would highly recommend.
