The Break Hotel

Absolutely stunning boutique hotel!! IMO there is no better hotel in the NE with this many amenities. They have covered every single base to keep their patrons happy and more. Pristinely clean, loaded with added extras… from the heated outdoor salt water pool and sauna, to the heated bathroom floors in the rooms, to the stunning waterfront and sunset views and more!! Let’s talk about their bar and bistro which captures proper food pairings with their location as well as nice price points.. if you want romance on a getaway.. this is the place! Mike the GM was amazing and Amanda at front desk was super helpful. 5 stars.

What a great getaway! The room we stayed in was wonderful. The decor, the sweet touches , (some chocolate), the awesome blow-dryer! Then there were the amenities. Heated outdoor saltwater pool which was unique and so much fun on a cold rainy night. The outdoor sauna was wonderful and the bar served incredible drinks and good. And topping it off was the buffet breakfast. Fantastic!!!! We will be back ❤️❤️❤️

Absolutely incredible. This place is truly 'The Break' we all need. From the moment you check in everything is perfect. The ambiance is calm and beautiful with classic black and white photos of actual locals surfing not random prints. The fish tank in the lobby is complete with digital guide telling you all about the species. The gas fireplaces keep it cozy and warm even on a cold January night. ||Now the rooms will wow you, even without a balcony the corner gas fireplace steams up the room with a Norwegian vibe. Don't worry about being cold going to the bathroom because the floors are heated and the walk in shower offers rain head and/or off side showering. The Apple TV is like a movie theater in your room (even not being a Apple phone user I was able to figure it out and this was the only part I didn't love but I know not being a Apple person is not common). ||Now the main event, the outdoor heated pool. Just wow it's perfection. Being a freezing person 24/7 I was toasty. Wear a winter hat and tread water then hit the sauna it's luxurious. Dry off with one of the best pool towels ever from a hotel and cozy up in your robe for the trek back to your room where you should probably grab a fresh baked cookie from the tin by the water station. ||Oh and to finish off a night don't forget the 4rth floor rooftop restaurant Chair 5. (It will be moving down to the main floor for winter we've been told but still beautiful). The food is incredible fish, burgers, flatbeead, steak all with fresh vegetables and fantastic drinks. Our server/bartender Rebecca truly loves her job and this entire place. Her passion for this establishment is unparalleled and we hope the owners know what an asset she is. She had recommendations and tips galore. We will be back to Chair 5 just to see her nevermind how delicious our meals were. ||Lastly don't forget breakfast. Complimentary breakfast with overnight oats, fresh fruit, waffles, eggs, frittata, yogurt and either a bloody Mary or mimosa, we never wanted to leave and can't wait to return. Our breakfast server was fabulous and we caught her pulling double duty performing other jobs as well. It was clear that everyone there is invested in the establishment. They were friendly, hospitable and we had a wonderful break at The Break. We will be back!

Beautiful hotel we come to every year in winter. Great rooms, cozy and right on the ocean. Lots of good sights/restaurants nearby. Service is great, and they continually do maintenance on the hotel so it is always in great shape/shows no age. Love the in room fireplaces, the lobby, the bath products. Comfortable mattresses. Highly recommend.

I loved this hotel from all the minor little details of decor, pool, sauna, bikes and complimentary breakfast. They try really hard to get you to have a pleasant stay. There was a eautiful gas stove in the room which heats up quickly. I do have some concerns. One is the floors and doors are thin and we could hear people above us walking around and next to us through a connecting door watching TV. I would have appreciated if the hotel was not sold out that you space guests out more because it is the off-season. Some of the items in the room were a bit worn looking like the curtains and large decorative pillows. The pillows on the bed were so huge that it was too puffy I couldn't get my head comfortable. On 2 mornings there was someone working outside my room one was at 8am. The complimentary breakfast was not consistent each day. My first day and third day they did not offer me a complimentary Mimosa or Bloody Mary which I would have loved. I do think it's really cool that they have a bar and restaurant upstairs it's unfortunate that there was nobody in them. It's a definitely cool vibe.

We love coming to The Break! The staff is friendly and professional! Breakfast is great! The heated outdoor saltwater pool and sauna are so unique and fun! (Year round!) Our room looked out to the ocean! We enjoyed watching the surfers and walking to the ocean edge! We will come back again and again!!

Beautiful hotel with so many touches to make your stay comfortable! Attentive staff, rooms outfitted with a coffee bar, heated bathroom floors, exceptional linens, fun decor and large suite options for families. The heated salt water pool is actually warm, an amazing large fish tank in the lobby and freshly baked chocolate chip cookies before bed! This was our 5th stay and we are always impressed with what a wonderful hotel this is! Easy to get to and great location for exploring the greater South County area.

Had a mini weekend getaway for our anniversary and The Break was the perfect place for it! It IS the off season, so it was nice and quiet. Again, a perfect little getaway. Can't recommend this hotel enough. Also had a couples massage and it was just the cherry on top with professionalism and hospitality. We will absolutely be back at some point in the future!
