The Bridgewater Modern Grill

My date and I were so excited to try the Eggs Benedict flight. We had reservations for Sunday at 11. Our server was very kind, great atmosphere in the place as well. We ordered a side of the potatoes and they came out nice and hot. Unfortunately, both of our Eggs Benedict flights were lukewarm at best, from the first bite. My date made a comment to the server and she offered to reheat. We initially declined but within a minute changed our mind. Our server was understanding and quickly brought over an extra flight (which I saw her bring from the heating lamps). This plate was also the same temperature. I really don’t like to leave neutral or negative reviews, but it’s unfortunate to spend money and have a less than par experience on the food we were looking forward to eating. We did take a small box to go and the crab cake heated up later was very delicious, but just not the same as if we had been given a hot meal to start at the restaurant. I’ve eaten here for dinner and was super impressed with the serving size, but I don’t think I’d come back for brunch.

Bridgewater Modern Grill was the setting for my birthday dinner with friends, and they absolutely nailed it. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make the night feel special. They surprised me with a birthday card signed by the team, which was such a thoughtful touch, and made sure we were completely taken care of all evening, including having a high chair ready for my goddaughter, which I really appreciated. Yes, I ordered the branzino (it’s one of my favorite fish dishes and they do it really well here). We ordered a full spread for the table, and everything was delicious. The food came out well-paced, beautifully done, and perfect for sharing, which is exactly what you want for a celebratory dinner with a group. The view is exquisite. I’ve been here in the summer and the patio is truly epic, especially if you’ve got a boat. It’s one of those places that just hits different when the weather’s warm and the sun is setting over the water. My only small disappointment was that they got rid of their Brussels sprouts appetizer (RIP), and the menu has definitely gotten smaller since the last time I was here. That said, the quality is still there, and the overall experience more than made up for it. Bridgewater continues to be a go-to for special occasions, great service, and an unbeatable setting. I already can’t wait to be back for patio season. 🤩

This newer restaurant on Milwaukee’s south side exudes downtown charm with its beautiful and thoughtfully presented dishes. The service is impeccable, and the seating was spacious and available. The food is prepared exceptionally well for its price point. Additionally, its location near a bridge on the Milwaukee River makes it a unique dining experience, offering tables with a stunning frozen view in this winter season!

Beyond my expectation first time here and phenomenal food and experience. It was just great and we really enjoyed the Valentine family dinner

Its such a nice spot, the crab cake was so good, meat was perfect, there are also many drinks of your choice (I’ve got a bourbon), the host was apologizing beauce I wait too much (no more than 2mins it was very fast actually), the waitress (Tracy) was also very nice and I’m so thankfull about her recommendations… the music at the perfect vol so you can chat. Went for a dinner of four and was sat with waitress Isabella and she was GREAT!!! the food was cooked perfectly, seasoned and flavorful. She suggested the dessert and the warm cake does not disappoint. I just wish we got the a little earlier for more daylight to see the water. The bathroom was clean and bright. I really have nothing bad to say. Our bill was $400 we ordered three steaks and the lobster roll for dinner, with pork belly, artichoke dip, and crab cake for appetizers.

Bridgewater Modern Grill is a gorgeous spot along the river with a great atmosphere and friendly service. The food overall was good. The bread with whipped butter was light and flavorful, a great start to the meal. The scallops paired well with the polenta and broccolini, but the seasoning could have been a touch bolder. The grilled fish was fresh and tender, though it leaned a bit on the simple side compared to the price point. Everything was prepared well, but a few dishes could have used that extra pop of flavor to really stand out. Still, it’s a lovely place for dinner, and I’d definitely return to enjoy the riverside views with another meal.

I wanted to celebrate my wife's new job and this place came highly recommended. She has a gluten allergy so that can always be tricky. The server helped us navigate some different options for gluten free meals. She ended up having the fish and she loved it. I had the smash Burger and it checked all the right boxes. Atmosphere and service were 10/10. If you haven't tried Bridgewater, you're missing out! We will be back.... Soon!
