It's been about 10 years since I've stayed here however it's such a memorable hotel that its still deeply etched into my memory. I'm sure a lot has changed since (as I noticed its temporarily closed, perhaps a renno). While the room were not impressive, they were functional, clean, inexpensive, and had great views if facing the harbor. So much of the styling was so different and old (but kept well). It never felt awkward. A part of the charm of travel is to experience life through a different set of lenses, rather than replicating home life overseas. Personally I found this to be a really cool escape. I enjoyed the complimentary breakfast and the regional taste offered. The location is very central and within walking distance to everything. Remember, Malta is small. Oh, one other interesting thing, the movie Munich used this hotel in part of its filming.

It’s our second time here and we love this hotel and the view from our room. The beds are comfortable & Air con good. The breakfast buffet is fine with lots to chose from but for two days there was no fresh bread and some rolls were very hard. There are cooked breakfasts available at a small extra cost. This is a wonderful hotel on the water front & close to the shops & restaurants and we will come again.

Out if this world room and service. Cannot recommend it highly enough. The Jacuzzi was a god send after the long flight. The room was comfortable, cozy, clean and modern. The balcony had an amazing view of the harbour. The breakfast was very good and plentiful. Too plentiful! I was not hungry the rest of the day! If I am fortunate enough to return to valletta I will be staying here!

A 2 star hotel with a 5 star view. Good points: the view of the harbour is stunning. Very large balcony terrace but shared with neighbouring room. The beds were clean and comfortable. Bad points: reception not overly helpful. Whilst the public areas of the hotel have recently been refurbished the bedroom & bathroom were shabby and the floors had not been cleaned; there was an over powering smell of drains which pervaded the room, emanating from the bathroom; fan provided had snapped; plastic sofa on terrace was broken with missing cushion; the terrace had large puddles of water from neighbouring air conditioning units, one of which constantly dripped form balcony above; the breakfast buffet was very limited unless you were after a cooked breakfast, no fresh fruit and only margarine, no butter. Not good value for money - called 'The British Hotel', it is staffed by Italians with nothing Maltese about it! Will not return.

I spent 4 days at the British suites a few weeks ago. And would happily have spent longer. The suite was amazing. Very big and clean. There was a small kitchen area with everything you would need to prepair a meal, if you wanted to. Tea and coffee was also provided and we were also given 2 bottles of water on our first day there, which was a nice touch. The best thing about it was the breathtaking views of the 3 cities. I could just sit there all day looking at it. Would definitely recommend the British suites!!

This hotel is located just next to the Victoria Gate in a bit so popular area of Valletta. However, that is what gives it its charm. It is well run. You can get top notch rooms or just normal ones at a lot less in price. Clean and room services every day. You can get sea view rooms overlooking the Grand Harbour and Fort At. Angelo also. I love the area as it is no more than a couple of minutes walk to all of the sites in Valletta and has all the 1930s charm that I expected. There are bars and restaurants just outside your window also...use this hotel you will love the Malta about it.

Air conditioned apartment with ensuite attachment. Staff are very friendly and helpful at every opportunity. The hotel has a rooftop garden that is pleasant to sit in and overlooks the harbour. However breakfast was 10 euro a head which wasn't ideal! The hotel location is excellent, right in the centre of Valletta, a short 5 minute walk takes you to the central streets of the City. All in all worthwhile staying here for a short break in Valletta.

Friendly hosts, clean throughout, great views of the harbour (from penthouse rooms), comfy beds. No toilet door, if you are squeamish, one of you will have to go and wait on terrace. Added dawn and daytime view from penthouse room terrace Will definitely be coming back
