The Brothers Boutique Hotel

Astonishingly beautiful hotel, wish we could've spent more time there. The host was most welcoming and quite the expert with directions and recommendations. We will definitely stay there again. Rooms were very cozy, bed was comfy and had the right amount of space to be nestled in and still want to get out and see the city, the window view of the skyline was a favorite of ours. Note: we loved the shower layout. Don't miss a chance to see the Wee Blue Penguins while you stay here.

The welcome was a bad start with comments like "hope you haven't got much luggage because the room is very small" (which was very true) so we had to leave luggage in the car. The dining room was too small for the number of rooms and we were also told "if you don't get to breakfast early, I can't guarantee you'll get a seat". The place is dated, somewhere between a seaside guest house and a residential home. The only highlights were a clean room and a comfortable bed. This was booked through an agent so we will advise them not to book anybody else in there.

This truly is a boutique hotel; beautiful and very interesting. The hospitality was excellent and the complimentary glass of wine each day very welcome. Fantastic view from our room. We will definitely be back :)

Fabulous place. Rod and his family have created a fantastic hotel with a warmth and commitment to the highest standards. Rod is a superb host. I left the Brothers Hotel not only having had a brilliant experience but a new home away from home. Thank you Rod.

Outstanding accommodation with fabulous views across Dunedin. Loved joining other guests for drinks in the evening. Great hotels get the little things right - well done Rod & Ali - can’t wait to return!

If I were only rating the staff and location it would get 5 stars. But it was like staying at Grandma's house. Creaky old floors, Victorian style furniture, steam driven baseboard wall heaters, no elevator. Definitely not my style especially considering the room cost per night.

Interesting building, converted from a monastery. Very comfortable and very close to town while keeping quite peaceful. Friendly and helpful hosts. This is our second stay.

Fantastic little hotel. Beautiful old building, lovely small gardens, and comfortable rooms. The owners are also extremely friendly and helpful.
