Yelp
This little deli is tucked away in German Village. There's free street parking out front. Currently, they are only serving to-go orders, as you will notice by the way the tables have been shifted to form a pick up counter. That said, there are a few round tables outside that you can eat at.
The hand-written menu board offers 16 of their original sandwiches, however you can also make your own. Across from the large menu board and swag, they have specials listed as well as another sandwich, which happened to be deemed 'The Inferno'. This goliath of a sandwich comes with turkey, bacon, arugula, tomato, red onion, sriracha cream cheesed all grilled on ciabatta bread. As soon as I saw this (which was ironically before I even saw the regular menu), I knew exactly what I was ordering.
They stay pretty busy with online and phone in orders, as well as some catering orders, but the sandwiches were ready about 10 minutes after we ordered. My sandwich was delicious, and it was smothered in sriracha cream cheese spread. I'm a huge fan of all types of sauces so I enjoyed this, but if sauces aren't really your thing, you may want to ask for 'light' on the cream cheese. Aside from that, the bacon was perfectly cooked with the right amount of crisp and crunch.
The only other thing worth noting is that the prices are different than listed on Yelp, with most all of the sandwiches starting around $11.50. This is more than I would usually pay for a sandwich but understanding COVID has hit the restaurant industry particularly hard, I am okay with spending a few more bucks.
