Let me start off my saying that booking a tee time here is a real challenge. I sent the course several meals in advance of my trip and it often took several days for them to respond. When you try to call, they simply don't answer. (I tried calling 10+ times.) When I arrived at the course, I asked them why they don't answer their phone and the person at the counter just smiled and said "We've been very busy."||Then, we were told that our 8:30am tee time had been moved to 9am because "some members wanted your time and they get priority." Hmmm, never had that happen before.||Anyway ... the course itself is very nice. Fairways, tee boxes, and greens are in great shape. I only hit a few bunkers, but the sand was deep and soft.||The pace was good and the cart girl came around many times. Prices on the cart were amazing, but that's where the value ended. Our round for two green fees, a cart, and one set of rental clubs was $470 USD. The restaurant, bathrooms, and club house are nice and clean.||Overall, we had a nice day. The course was just 5 minutes from our hotel (Riu) and the taxi was just $20, round trip.

This hotel has deteriorated dramatically over the last three years. This year there has been no hot water on several occasions, the front desk is indifferent about the problem. Bedding is poor, with very low thread count sheets. The pool needs renovation, and the food quality is very poor. The only plus is the restaurant service. Noise is also a problem. The road to the hotel is full of pot holes which adds to the run down feeling of the property. Mosquitoes are everywhere. They even hand you a can of Off to go with your meal. As the sister hotel of The Santa Maria, they should spend some time there to learn what service is.

The property is great. The design blends Spanish Architecture and nature. The service was amazing. Everyone ensured that we were comfortable. There was initially a problem with our first room, but Daniel apologized profusely and upgraded our room! I shared with folks that I discussed this trip with, that, this is how a resort should handle issues.||I'm looking forward to staying here again when I return to the area later this year.

The location is excellent. The staff, all of them without exception, were absolutely wonderful. Great attitude and service. The property is a bit aged and it shows. The staff are exceptional. Arnold at the main desk was always smiling and has been very helpful in multiple occasions, including giving us a better room. Alberto is a great mixologist at the lobby bar. Very nice bar. Tatiana was excellent at breakfast. Really good service at breakfast. The biggest weakness here is food. Expensive and very subpar. Really nothing to talk about here. Mediocre food in every restaurant. The pools are great but very warm water. Beach is Really nice and water is fresh.

So do not book the golf package here as it is a total scam. If you read the package description it says breakfast for two people and one round of golf per person per day. When we went to play they said that it only included one round of golf finally after arguing with them I thought we had reached agreement. Only after checking out did I realize they had charged me a round of golf without my knowledge on the bill and instead of calling it golf on the bill they put it as other incomes. The golf package is also more expensive then if you go to the course and play as it is only $96 green fee per person and they charge you over $160 per day to add the golf package and don’t allow you to on the day you check in.

Did many marriotts, this one is very good. Place is really awesome. Horses experience is neat because they really let you ride them without much supervision. Jet ski is nice too just in front of the hotel. Restaurants are quite pricey and not amazing. Ceviche was good though, probably the best I had in Panama!

Wonderful experience for our family. Daniel, their conceirge, was extremely helpful. They accommodated all of our requests for our 2 year old. There were tons of activities - a private zoo, huge beach club with like 8 pools, great food, breakfast buffet was awesome. It’s in a private gated community with security. Tons to do! We’d go back!
