A fantastic find. Found by chance - liked the look of the sign outside and popped in. We were glad we did! The food was stupendous - a culinary treat of flavours and textures - sublimely excellent. The best food and cocktails we have tasted in a long while. We will be back with friends! Thank you.

Sitting out in the sun, taking the rays on a monday afternoon. Good solid cup of tea and a quiet place to enjoy. Food coming out of the kitchen looked fantastic and fresh. A great place to chill between walking, shopping sight seeing. We'll be back.

We had a brilliant meal in the private dining room. Lamb was amazing as was the Hake. However their best offering was the onion soup which the chef kindly gave us the hand written recipe of. Wine was great. We firmly recommend it and would definitely go back again.

I had a bit of difficulty originally getting in to the Bull Inn for breakfast, but have now been and enjoyed a lovely morning there. Staff were fab and management have demonstrated they genuinely have their customers interests at heart. It is worth noting they can sometimes be too busy in the kitchen to accept walk ins, so my recommendation is to book a table first.

The Bull Inn is the finest pub and rooms in SW England. We've just returned from another exceptional stay over New Year. A couple of the rooms are dog friendly. Food is always off the charts plus a really inventive and competitively priced wine list. Service is always top notch. Breakfast is always excellent too. Overall price point is incredible value for money considering the ingredients and thoughtfulness of the menu design (for comparision our local Young's pub in London is more expensive!). Love the No Bull ethos too whereby they endeavour to source localy. Go go go. You won't regret it.

Stopped for a quick lunch. The food and bread was absolutely 5 star. The IPA was delicious. Service was friendly and efficient. Very good value too. I had been in Scott’s of Mayfair the day before and I preferred this. It’s so good it’s convinced me to move to Totnes 😀

We went here for a special birthday meal and sadly it was a truly disappointing experience. I have had a number of meals here and not had this experience before, so it was all the more disappointing given the occasion. One starter (there is only one starter on the menu), two small plates and a dessert were unavailable. Usually we wouldn’t mind this but the menu is very limited, especially for vegetarian options. When charging these prices we felt it wasn’t really acceptable to have such a number of items run out. We had two mocktails and both lacked any flavour at all, they mainly tasted like soda. We could see they were busy, but the service was extremely slow and not personal at all. We expressed our upset at the amount of food out of stock and explained how it was a special meal. We said this in a way that was really just conveying our disappointment and not in a rude manner at all. The waitress just said sorry but it had been a really busy night. However, this is no excuse for running out of items on such a limited menu. We booked this meal in advance so expected to have all the options available. Although I have visited The Bull frequently over the years, I truly feel let down and I don’t even feel any understanding was shown when we expressed our disappointment . Regrettably I wouldn’t recommend and will not be visiting again.

My husband and I came here for our anniversary meal on a Sunday lunch time. We figured we'd be getting Sunday roast, but were momentarily disappointed to find out there was no roast menu! However, the food we did have was absolutely out of this world. The chef plays with unusual tastes and I'm guessing is a bit of a trendsetter because there were some unlikely but amazing pairings on the dishes we had. All the food was fresh and delicious, so thank you for making our non-roast meal so incredibly epic!
