The Bull - Beaumaris (Beaumaris, Isle of Anglesey) 1 Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Keep an eye out for the old water clock and ducking stool in the bar of this characterful 1670s coaching inn. Bedrooms in the main house are named after Dickens characters and are traditional; those in the townhouse are more modern and colourful. The former stables house the restaurant." - Tablet Hotels

Check-in takes place at the bar and we were greeted by a very friendly member of staff who explained that the rooms are named after Dickens' characters due to Charles Dickens previously staying here. Our room was clean and spacious but quite warm, however a fan was provided. The beds were comfortable and there were plenty of teas, coffee and biscuits provided. The food at the restaurant was good quality and service was quick. Breakfast was delicious and cooked to order. The location is perfect for exploring the town, with both the castle and the sea less than a minute's walk away. We enjoyed our stay and would return.

Right on the main street in Beaumaris and a lot bigger on the inside than you would think from the outside. Staff were lovely and very helpful. Food was very delicious. An okay selection of alcoholic drinks and reasonable priced. Would definitely visit again.

We had a wonderful Sunday lunch at the Bulls Head.|It is a really old building that has been sympathetically restored with lots of period features. There are lots of different dining areas and we ate in the”front room” overlooking the Main Street which was dog friendly. There is also another bar area with an impressive display of swords and a large period fireplace.|The staff were very welcoming and helpful. There is a good choice of meal options and I notice behind the bar they also had a range of dog snacks and drinks.|We went again for a midweek lunch as we had enjoyed it that much.

Called in for a Sunday lunch, it wasn't particularly busy we found a seat straight away. We perused the menu and chose a beef for my husband and turkey for myself, my husband went to the bar to order , there was nobody serving but he could see a number of staff on the other side as the bar goes through to the dining room, he was seen but ignored even after calling for attention it was only after a woman appeared and told one of the boys to go and serve. The food arrived eventually with a yorkshire pancake masquerading as a yorkshire pudding, two roast potatoes that the knife couldn't penetrate and by the way they were frozen , there was also a blob of some orange baby food that was supposed to be carrot and sweede mash, my turkey had no stuffing or pigs in blankets if you want those you can but at a extra charge, that also applies to the cauliflower cheese which we did and that was the only thing that was hot ,the main meal was just tepid so all in all a very poor experience and we won't be going back. By the way this isn't the first visit we've been before and it was just as bad but we thought we'd give them another go in the hope things might have improved but they haven't, unfortunately the food and the whole experience is pretty dire.

During our holiday in Wales, we spent one night at this accommodation. The room was a bit old, but it was okay for one night and clean. Unfortunately, we had a room directly above the bar. There was a concert in the bar that evening, which lasted until almost 11 p.m. The noise made us feel like we were in the middle of the concert. The staff are all nice. The restaurant is good, i.e. the food is delicious.

Called in on a Saturday for lunch, extensive full menu but only wanted a sandwich and there was a limited choice. Although the pub was very quiet it too 35 minutes to serve 2 sandwiches. My club sandwich was ok once I had removed the bacon which was quite literally all fat. Ordinary white sliced bread, a few very tired leaves thrown on the side- really not worth £10.95. Would not choose to eat there again

A birthday trip to Anglesey staying at the Bull Inn at Beaumaris, one of our best trips lovely hotel and staff were fabulous, would very much recommend. ||Explored the local area, loved it so much would even consider retiring there, so much more to see.||Another trip back definitely on the cards enjoyed the whole experience so much looking forward to planning another.||Had mixed weather beautiful sunshine, wind and rain didn’t dampen the experience. Lily our dog loved the pebble beaches, woodlands and the trip to see the waterfalls 3 miles off her lead, what’s not to love, pets are welcomed with open arms, great trip had by all.
