The Bundanoon Guest House

Recently stayed here while attending a wedding in a nearby Southern Highlands town and can't recommend it enough. I've always wanted to stay in a proper traditional B&B and finally fulfilled this wish at The Bundanoon Guest House. The House itself is spacious, romantic, charming and full of character, with gorgeous decor and interesting antiques and collectibles in every corner of every common room. I took lots of photos! The House and gardens look like the set of a Nancy Meyers movie. Tim and Lucie were incredible hosts, friendly and attentive. Check in/out with Tim was easy and informative, and Lucie's breakfasts each morning were delicious and kept us full each day until dinnertime, thus saving us $ on lunches. Our King Spa suite room was comfortable and equipped with everything we needed (FYI - no TV in the room - but I prefer it that way as don't care for TV). Parking was convenient and right beside our private entryway. Bundanoon's centre with cafes and restaurants is just a 5-7 min walk away. Wouldn't hesitate to stay there again. Delightful place. Such beautiful gardens. Gorgeous house. I stayed in the cottage with a friend which was a good way to travel if you want separate bedrooms but shared living space. It’s small but cute, and set in the gardens.

A lovely, well-kept guest house with beautiful gardens. On-site parking was easy, and check-in was quick. Our King Spa ensuite room was beautifully presented, with a convenient door that led directly to the car park. My only suggestion would be for a shelf above the sink to place toiletries. (I placed them on the edge of the spa bath.) The common areas were comfortable and and cosy, with plenty of magazines and books about the local area. There were amenities for all guests to use including two TVs, a fridge/freezer, Nespresso machine, cups, plates and cutlery. The pool table was an unexpected bonus. We enjoyed the continental breakfast, which was tasty and filling. Hosts Tim and Lucie were personable and helpful with local knowledge. The guest house is located opposite the train line, and while you can hear trains passing it isn't loud or intrusive. Shops and restaurants are located about a ten minute walk down the road. We found the guest house to be a well-located base to explore the area, away from the bustle of the larger towns. Would recommend and return for another visit.

The hosts were very welcoming. The gardens were lovely & the common areas were comfortable. We enjoyed their included breakfast. My issue is the room. For a price of $295, Room 5 was very small & dark. The furniture was very basic & there were only a few hooks for hanging. This was a problem when you are attending a wedding & need formal wear to not be creased. For this price, I would expect coffee/tea facilities & a small fridge. There is no TV. I could see that these things would not fit into such a small space. We were not there for sightseeing, so we were in the room for a longer time & it depressed me. I think that I am not a guest house person & would look for alternative accommodation next time.

The perfect stay! Bundanoon Guest House is ideal for a country weekend getaway. Located an easy walk from the town centre of Bundanoon, the attention to detail is superb. Hosts, Lucie & Tim are so welcoming and the guesthouse is charming and cosy. My favourite detail… heated bathroom floors. Highly recommend.

Lucie and Tim were amazing hosts. We booked a last minute weekend away the day before, and were so glad we did. The guest house is in a great location, close to the shops in Bundanoon, and is lovely in winter with nice warm fires inside and extremely comfortable beds. Breakfast was fantastic. We would definitely stay again.

I brought my leadership team here to create a memorable experience. All nationalities (AU, NZ, KR, IN, SG, PH, NL) were impressed with the venues personality, the good care, good food and location. ||The inspiration of the venue, the Morton national park, the villagers and shopkeepers helped update our 3 year strategy plan. On top of that the memories created together through such a potent mix has boosted morale and added to our team culture.||I highly recommend taking your team away from the generic hotel offerings of Sydney and give the Bundanoon Guesthouse a try. We really enjoyed our overnight stay. Lucie and Tim are wonderful hosts and very welcoming. A beautiful and comfortable guest house which we would definetly recommend!
