The Burrell Collection, nestled within the Pollock Country Park, is a must-visit destination in Glasgow. Not only is it free, but it’s also a beautifully renovated museum with a modern design. The museum’s layout is expertly crafted, featuring a free-flowing route that takes visitors through a diverse collection of artifacts from around the world. Among the impressive collection are paintings by renowned artists like Degas and Cezanne, as well as many others. The Burrell Collection offers a truly captivating experience, allowing visitors to spend time exploring its rich and diverse exhibits. Highly recommended, the Burrell Collection is worth a detour from your usual route. The park has ample parking, and if you’re commuting, a shuttle bus service connects the museum to the bus or train station.

Loved visiting the Burrell Collection! Amazing mix of art and history in a really modern space, and it’s right in the middle of beautiful Pollok Park. Great place to wander and relax. The museum is well-designed and maintained with a hint of interactivity for kids. The staff is friendly and has some fun worksheets for kids.

I think this is my favourite gallery in Scotland! A magnificent building in the most picturesque surroundings. The collection of art is awe-inspiring! Perfect for medieval lovers. The curation was very thoughtful and the staff were all very friendly and attentive. Well worth a visit

Wonderful family outing. It is free to enter but you need to pay for parking which there was plenty of. There is a wide diversity of items in the collection. From antiquities of Egypt, Greece and China to artists such as Rodin, Degas and Cezzane. There are interactive videos for young ones. Plenty of space on the grounds for a picnic or there is a restaurant available inside. Large play area by the parking for little ones as well.

Beautiful museum- truly a peaceful experience in a neatly constructed building. I enjoyed the mix of indoor and outdoor views, the modern enhancements of old exhibits. A great park to visit, as well!

Enjoyable visit to The Burrell collection. We arrived and were offered to join a free tour, which we did and thoroughly enjoyed. There is a lot to take it, and many areas we likely missed. We will return again... the inside area itself is very well looked after. The toilets were also spotless. Cafe food is a little expensive, but it is properly catered by professional chefs and is very fresh. We did enjoy the food and would pay the prices again. * please take the time to pay for parking as it is £100 fine if you are caught (GGC), and there were 2 wardens visibly checking tickets. It's not expensive considering its free entry. If you have any spare change, there is a donations box to contribute to on the way out. Allow yourself 2 - 3 hours

Shockingly impressive collection of artworks, textiles, collectibles and antique furniture ranging from the 1900s to the 600s from those I looked at. Staff all extremely friendly and the building itself is an architectural beauty. Well worth the visit. Gift shop was okay, had alot of local srtisinsl products which are appreciated but not alot of artwork and collection related items such as prints. Restaurant and cafe sell kinda the same things and they are quite expensive, I'd avoid. Free entry to the museum is always appreciated.

Visiting this collection Museum really open my mind, could not imagine that's all from a rich man house! However, really appreciate the concept of him, want to let everyone admire all of his collections under this natural beautiful green zone. Also, though reading the story how he getting along with his daughter, wife , guests and servants. You can kind of knowing Mr.Burrell is a person with good humour and taste of course.
