Oh my GOODNESS!! Everything about this place is magical. We threw down with a booking in the distillers suit - wasn’t cheap but man it was worth it. Amazing pub, amazing restaurant, amazing rooms. The staff were lovely too. Photos say it all

We had a fab meal tonight at The Bushmills Inn. My friend had a fabulous chicken liver parfait to start, then steak with an excellent whiskey, pepper & cream sauce, served with buttery champ, and finally a sticky toffee pudding. I, being a vegetarian, had a beet carpaccio salad that was divine, and one of the most excellent main courses I've had in years. The preparation of cabbage was superb - charred but juicy, sweet & savoury, fragrant with coriander & mint. The vegetable (a little like good bruschetta) and goat cheese savoury tartlet was a revelation. Every single thing on our plates was perfection from temperature to presentation to taste. There's an excellent selection of wine at every price point. The service was universally warm, knowledgeable and welcoming from the front door to the table. We started our dinner late in the evening due to arriving in town after a long drive with some delays, but the staff never made us feel rushed even though we were the last customers. Thank you so much for such a special meal - I would definitely come back to Bushmills and indeed the broader Giant's Causeway area just to come here. Next time we hope to stay at the hotel as well.

Google
Nice place. People are nice and helpful. Rooms are ok. Bathrooms is tight setup. Breakfast staff made us feel rushed. Bar staff were great. Front desk very nice. Close to causeway.

Google
Truly memorable experience. Recommend you book in advance. Menu to suit all tastes . Great choices . Staff very knowledgeable about the different dishes.

Google
Lovely place full of history. Had the rib-eye steak with the whiskey sauce, and finished with the sticky toffee pudding. So good. I would do it all again.

Google
Went here after going to Giants causeway, the food was absolutely delectable. We first went into the bar, but then realized that the food in the bar was very limited. I would recommend going into the restaurant if you want a more diverse menu. Ended up getting the sirloin, 10 ounce. Absolutely scrumptious. The bar is a bit louder, while the restaurant is very quiet, very very fancy feeling. The waiters / waitresses were always there if we needed anything, and were absolutely fantastic. I'd be more than happy to come here again, and I cannot recommend it more!

Google
Definitely worth eating there , if you are around Bushmills. We had Guinness onion soup ( a must have) Irish stew ( delicious lamb) , salmon and papardelle every dish was perfect. The desserts were also very good. Our favorite was the banana creme brulee ( best creme brulee I have ever had). Friendly staff and cosy atmosphere.

Google
I love it here great for a drink in the beer garden or cosy inside for wet days. Food also is excellent and service is first class. I'm heading back in tonight for the live music 👏

Yelp
I have always loved this place! Over the years they have expanded and their garden is a nice spot for a dram. Lunch included Bushmill Burger, Super Foods Salad, and cheese board. Excellent presentation and food quality. Tasty as it gets!

Yelp
Good place for a nice dinner in Bushmills. We happened to be in town and it was my wife's birthday so we stopped in for a nice meal. Very nice place with very good service. Fantastic Guinness, isn't it always! I started with the soup special, Potato and Leek. It was a great choice. For my entrée I went with the Pan Roasted Sea Bream, a fish I had never had before. It was excellent. The fish was a bit like a snapper and cooked perfectly. The sauce was excellent and the scallops were a great addition as was the bit of cooked apple. My wife had the Chicken Breast. The chicken was super moist and tasty. The pour over sauce only added to the flavor and the leeks and wild mushrooms in addition to the gnocchi were great additions. We had their special dessert of the evening. All four parts were excellent, from the macaroon to the crème brûlée, everything on the plate was a winner. I added a Bushmills Coffee to finish the night. This was a great choice.

Yelp
Stopped in for a quick lunch on the way to the Giants Causeway. This is the "Protestant whiskey" we were informed. A nice outdoor dining area with a few different rooms available for lunch. The meal was nice cod loins over mashed potatoes. Very tasty. The dessert a nice whiskey cake was wonderful. Service was prompt and friendly. We would have liked to linger but the tour was leaving so we could not. We liked it and recommend it for a nice lunch to break up the day of sightseeing in N. I. Nancy & Mark

Yelp
We ate dinner in their quaint and casual bar. Dinner was superb! Fish and chips were good. Salmon was delicious. The pork chop was spectacular. Service was prompt and professional. Fantastic experience. Dinner service also available in the dining room. I would highly recommend!

Yelp
We had an excellent lunch at this restaurant. We both had a very traditional creamed finnan haddie which is smoked haddock in a cream sauce. I had mine with the poached egg on top and my wife skipped the egg. The dish was prepared perfectly. You could taste the smoked haddock and the kale was tasty as well. The dish also included potatoes and the sauce. The restaurant itself was very nice and the service was top notch. We would definitely recommend this restaurant.

Yelp
Where do I start, the building itself is old but restored well. We quickly got a seat, drinks were ordered as well as apps. Apps and drinks came quickly. We ordered meals and enjoyed what was served. Our meals came out timely and the food was delicious. If you are in the area - try them

Yelp
Had a fantastic spontaneous meal of fish & chips and the pastrami sandwich. Service was fantastic with our every need attended to and the ambiance was off the chart. Request seating in the sunroom is a great choice with sunny skylights and a wall of glass to the beautiful outside courtyard. Food was delicious, portions were generous and the staff extremely friendly and attentive.

Yelp
This was the surprise favorite restaurant experience during a 4-week trip to Europe. The sticky toffee pudding was astoundingly good. The family loved it and wish we didn't have to travel to the northern tip of Northern Ireland to find a dessert so scrumptious. The kids ordered a hamburger off the kids menu, which was GIANT. I asked what the adult version of the hamburger looked like. It's just covered with more toppings. We sure enjoyed the crispy beer-battered fillet of haddock as well, and the mocktails.

Yelp
Indoor or outdoor seating, incredible service, good pricing, delicious food, and warm ambiance. I would go back again !

Yelp
My husband and I had lunch here along with 12 other members of our tour group. We had a set menu of baked cod with a cheddar herb crust and served with a light cream sauce. The fish was tender and fantastic. It was served with mashed potatoes flavored with leeks. This potato side dish was very good. I had some Bushmills Irish Whiskey in honor of the nearby distillery. For dessert we had delicious sticky toffee pudding and coffee or tea. The ambiance is white tablecloth and polished. The decor was charming. The service was very good. The restaurant is part of a small inn. Our group did not spend the night.

Yelp
We had a wonderful meal..Steak with blue cheese, chicken perfectly cooked and aubergine curry . Don't pass up the desserts which are stellar . Chocolate pave cake with white ganache and black butter ice cream ..Banana and toffee cheesecake , and sticky toffee pudding .. The service was attentive and efficient ..lovely ambiance .l A winner

Yelp
A great spot, when you want more that fish and chips. We were in the area doing things, as tourists are want to do, and it was time to eat. The tour guide recommended a fish and chips place but I had looked around for something more than that. Bushmills Inn came up with great options so we stopped in here. It was a great call. We got drinks and perused the menu. In the end we all got a couple things. Mine was great, the special, turkey and chorizo pie. I attacked, in part as it's golden auburn crust was so inviting. And flaky tasty good. A couple friends had the seafood and mash potatoes dish and I tried that. The salmon was pretty good, and the prawns were small, which is apparently how it's done here. The top layer of dollops of mash was great, and kept the heat in. As in, it stayed piping hot throughout the meal. If you are looking for more than fish and chips this day, it's the spot for you.

Yelp
3.5 stars for dinner, the seafood dishes were average, the caesar salad and salty spicy calamari were better. Not an overly enjoyable dinner, clearly seafood was not the right choice on the night we visited. 4 stars for Breakfast in the restaurant as part of our stay was much better.

Yelp
We had a lovely lunch in this quaint restaurant. The service was extremely slow, but the experience was good.

Pat C.

Yelp
Closed since Covid, no longer available. Not open. The distillery is open for tours but no food.

Timmy Z.

Yelp
We ate here our first of two nights, excited to see a few vegan options. And they were actually pretty good. Good enough that we made reservations to dine again the next night. We showed up early to have a few drinks in the pub area. A waitress was walking around, clearly completely Ill, coughing and sniffling the entire time. This includes while she was carrying plates of food. Just straight up hacking and coughing into the food. This happened the entire time we drank our beer. I cancelled the reservation and we moved on as quickly as possible. Shockingly poor judgment on her part and on the part of management for not seeing this as the obvious health danger that it is.

Chris And Tanja B.

Yelp
Great place for a beer or dinner (did both). Service was fantastic and food was very good, highly recommend the steak and sticky toffee pudding.

Yelp
After a long day of doing touristy things in the Northern Ireland, my friend and I chose to have my birthday dinner at Bushmills Inn and it was one of the most memorable birthday dinners I ever had. It started of with an Irish coffee next to a wood burning fireplace, which gives an old countryside feel. The restaurant area was so nice and the service was outstanding. They also have a hotel there and the hotel grounds were so beautiful. The drinks and wine selection was awesome. The ambience in the restaurant was very soothing. It is close to the Giant's causeway, so it should be on the must do list when you go to Ireland. I will definitely go back.

Yelp
Really enjoyed the spot for lunch of a sunny day. We ate out back and be patio and enjoyed a beautiful Irish Day. Close to Bushmills Distillery this little spot is clearly a favorite of locals and tourists alike. If you are coming from the street you will walk through the pub first, going to the back area where the restaurant begins. The staff is friendly and point you in the right direction if needed. For food we ordered the ragu, fish and chips, soup and the chicken breast. The food was excellent and the drinks served cold. Our waiter, Scott, was absolutely wonderful! He was kind, funny and attentive. We had a great time chatting with him and talking all about our travels. I would absolutely recommend this quaint little spot to anyone in the area looking for a pint or bite to eat. It is a little more pricey than some spots in town but well worth it it my humble opinion.

Yelp
Food was delicious and arrived at our table in no time at all; had a perfectly cooked steak, potatoes dauphinois, and green beans. Make sure to get a Bushmills and try the sticky toffee pudding--delicious. Lovely ambiance, and the staff was excellent!

Yelp
What a wonderful restaurant to eat at before or after visiting The Giants Causeway. It's a beautiful restaurant with a warm, friendly staff and an excellent menu. I had the fish and chips and they were perfect. The Sticky Toffee pudding is also exceptional.
google avatar

Yelp
Was the service as attentive as I would have wished it were? Sure, but it was a busy day, and may be every day is a busy day. The food was very good, as was the wine. The taste, presentation, and vibe would be best stated as what Bouloud's is to NYC, Bushmills is to Giant's Causeway Bushmills area. Good time, overall.

Yelp
We are at the Inn and reserved at the restaurant. I had the beef fillet. We were impressed that all of the ingredients are sourced locally. The fillet was very good, tender and of great taste. Desserts were good and so was the service. Definitely the place to eat when in town.
google avatar

Yelp
Had a very good time in this old, classic Inn. Homely, cozy atmosphere, as well as warm and dry on a rainy Antrim day. Decent pub food, we enjoyed a delicous seafood pie and cullen skink.

Yelp
To be fair, this is probably more of a 3.5 restaurant. With all the awards and hype I expected a bit better hence why I decided to round down. The service was prompt and everything was as ordered. However, there wasn't really anything about the food that stood out to me here and it wasn't the cheapest place in town either. The quail risotto was probably one of the best parts. It was certainly a skillful attempt at execution with quail skin wrapping not only the whole quail's meat but also the risotto rice so that the juices and fat from the quail flowed more into the rice, which it did - the flavor of the rice was good. However, the risotto rice was undercooked. I also had the squid which is a common dish served in many parts of northern Ireland and theirs while fine was not the best. I did enjoy that it had some stir fry veggies like red peppers and onions but that just meant less squid. The squid seemed to have been deep fried in an ultra light, thin batter and then stir fried but the evidence of frying left was just a somewhat soggy batter. The flavor was ok but not that notable. Reminded me of Chinese stir fry. My husband ordered the roasted chicken and the dark parts of the meat were better than the white, which was super dry. The flavor was bland to my taste though he seemed to like it ok. Overall, we had made this a priority to visit but not sure I would have advised this to others with all the other really yummy and better value options in town.

Yelp
There are just times when a restaurant is just so good that you don't really need to write much more than a "You have to eat here!" However, because I loved this restaurant so much and it exceeded my expectations I have to write more then that. I feel compelled to so that other travelers come and get to enjoy a lovely meal. So, my fiancée and I had an amazing dinner here while we were vacationing in Ireland. We had just spent the morning driving the Glens of Antrim, marveling at the beautiful Northern Ireland coastal views, visiting the dark hedges and climbing the Carrick-a-Rede rope bridge. We ended up staying at a very cute hostel in Portrush called the Portrush Holiday Youth Hostel and after a day full if activities we wanted a delicious meal to complete our fantastic day. This restaurant has great reviews, but it deserves more accolades. Everything about Bushmills Inn and Restaurant was awesome from atmosphere of the restaurant to the service, to the drinks, appetizers, entrees and dessert. I would eat here again if I could. When I come back to Ireland I plan to enjoy another meal here. Come here for dinner. You won't regret it!!

Yelp
This was one of the best meals we had on the trip. It was very well made and the service was superb. Delightful desserts that made my mouth sing with happiness. I'm very happy I choose to eat here.

Yelp
This would be a 5* review, but unfortunately after a visit here my bank balance doesn't allow it to be. It's eye wateringly pricey. (Bear in mind though this includes accommodation and you could nearly settle 3rd world debt for some of these prices!) Ah but then there isn't much else bad to say about the place. It's a beautiful old inn (est 1608!) set in the idyllic, lost in time, village of Bushmills. Personal favourite are; the secret library (I challenge you to find this!) and try the nooks and crannies off the main bar where you can sup your drink and become lost to the outside world. You also really must try a meal in their divine, award winning restaurant. Another thing, if you've been out in the blustery often chilly weather Northern Ireland has to offer, then feast your eyes upon the welcoming, oh so beautiful peat fire that awaits your return. Oh, and sample one of the local Bushmills whiskeys, a little (or large!) toddy that will warm you to the cockles of your heart.
google avatar

Lawrence C.

Yelp
Great staff, and we were upgraded to a large room (mini-suite), so how can I complain???? Seriously, the room was great, people in inn, and the restaurant for both breakfast and dinner were tuned to customer service, and the food was great. I'll be back!!!

Yelp
Fantastic find. My wife and I discovered the restaurant purely by accident. Although we would didn't have a reservation, we were sat after a short wait. Kerry & Elaine did a great job explaining the menu and answering our questions. Very warm but professional. The food was excellent using fresh, local and sometimes ingredients I was unfamiliar with in inventive ways. I highly recommend the restaurant and Would return next time I am in the area.
google avatar

Shirley N.

Yelp
Fabulous service, classic old school decor. And 12 kinds of whiskey! I loved the food and atmosphere.
google avatar

J S.

Yelp
We enjoyed an excellent meal. Don't skip dessert. Everything served is locally sourced and fresh. So delicious! Arrive a little early so that you have time for a drink in one of the sitting rooms off from the main bar. It's just too perfect!
google avatar

Meg K.

Yelp
A pleasant setting to grab lunch while strolling the town. The menu is conventional English fare. Our food was fresh and tasty. Service was professional.

Man M.

Yelp
A bit pretentious. If you dont have a reservation, they will make you wait 15 min even if the restaurant is only 20% occupied. Food was just OK.

Yelp
Our wedding photographer's wife enthusiastically recommended this place to us and boy was she spot on! The dinner prices were high for us but since we arrived at 5:30 pm as the lunch menu was winding down, the kitchen was kind enough to let us order from that menu. This was the best meal I have had in the UK/Ireland. The 6 oz steak was cooked to perfection and the pepper/Bushmills whiskey sauce was fantastic. My mother ordered the seafood platter that changed her life --so fresh and delicious, for a woman with a small appetite she forced herself to scarf down the massive platter. I can't remember what Dad and the Irishman ordered but they were also impressed. Our server, Abigail, I believe, was friendly and very nice. She was lovely to talk to. We were able to walk there from the Bushmills Distillery and along the train tracks (train isn't in operation until the summer) back to the Causeway Hotel. Highly recommended. Cute patio, too, for warmer days!

Yelp
Stayed just because of the name and I didn't know how awesome it was going to be!! Large rooms, super comfy, loads of parking and for the price amazing. When we arrived the staff showed us around, asked all about our trip and took a great amount of time giving us recommendations!! Also all the places we stayed in Ireland had a bar but this one is the nicest and had the friendliest bartenders!! This night is also right after my girlfriend and I stayed at Ashford Castle in Cong, but Bushmills knocked it out of the park!! Thanks guys

Yelp
Quite pricey, but my food was very tasty! I had their cod special with risotto and broccoli on the side. Everything was perfectly cooked.

Yelp
Best meal we had over a week's long visit to Ireland.

Yelp
A delightful establishment in the quaint little town of Bushmills. The hotel is a few hundred years old and apart from being updated to cater for today's requirements the style of the decor hasn't changed significantly and provides a great look at the past. On the way in you walk passed a large open fireplace which is a sight for cold eyes in the depths of winter and the low ceilings enhance the charm of the place. The staff were very attentive and if you ask nicely you will get several attempts at the choice of excellent breads on offer to keep you going until your food arrives. The menu is large and caters well for all tastes (vegetarians included) with plenty of help from the staff if you need some of the dishes explained (the lamb is sensational) and most of the food is local produce which is always a winner in my book! **NB - this is only a review of the restaurant**
google avatar

Jessica M.

Yelp
We had two delicious entrees from the "day menu" plus toffee pudding (wow! Don't skip dessert!) for 30£ which I thought was very reasonable for the food quality, friendly and prompt service, and ambiance. This place was great!
google avatar

Ian C.

Yelp
A favourite of my wife and me. Nice friendly bar for pre/post dinner drinks. Food beyond reproach. Excellent selection of wines. Ample parking if you're driving. Have been a customer for ten years and never had cause to complain. Have been a few times for lunch as well and again never been disappointed. Nice place to take visitors from abroad especially on a Saturday when there's live music. Never ceases to impress them.
google avatar

Tony C.

Yelp
We only ate here. Wish we'd stayed though! The food was fantastic and decently priced. Our waitress was phenomenal. I wish I grabbed her name as she was great and I wish her all the praise in the world. If you are her manager reading this, it was a warm day and the place was rather empty and we were sat by the windows. We both had the American accents from Vegas and my girlfriend had never had the brown sauce before! I would definitely recommend stopping here to eat if you are headed up to Giant's Causeway. We will be back for sure.

Yelp
Best Sunday lunch in the world. In terms of enjoyment it is up there with the Wolsley in London and Balthazar in NYC/Manhattan.

Cyblizzle Y.

Yelp
After a long day of travel and touring we arrived in Bushmills later that evening for a 2 day stay at an Airbnb. We called around to see where dinner was still being served and landed upon this restaurant . As we were tired and still wearing our travel clothes we asked if there was a dress code and was told there wasn't (reservation required tho). Upon arrival, we were promptly located to the furthest possible corner (steerage section I'm guessing, probably due to our lack of proper dress) and then ignored by the rotating staff at 10 min intervals. Our food was cold, overpriced, not much better than pub fare. To top things off, the 3 of us each ordered a beer and only 2 were brought saying the other was on the way. After another 20 mins I finally flagged down a server to ask about it and she then had someone else bring it. I would have thought the proper thing to do would have been to waive the cost for the delay but of course that never happened.
