We stopped here for dinner on a Friday in July while on our way to a show at the Sellersville Theater. We arrived around 7p. We were looking for somewhere to stop along the way and the menu looked good online. There was a 20 minute wait for a table when we arrived and no seats open at the bar but the hostess suggested we wait in “the lounge” until a table was ready. This is just a small space beside the bar with a couple of church pew benches for sitting. We got drinks from the bar and waited there. I don’t even think it was quite 20 minutes when they came to get us for the table. Our server was with us quickly to give us menus and take our dinner order. We shared the fried green tomato appetizer and Cajun shrimp and chicken entree. There were some daily specials on a chalkboard behind us that we didn’t notice until we ordered - if I would have seen that we would have gotten mussels. Oh well, everything happens for a reason. The tomatoes were good but had too much goat cheese for my liking. I scraped some of it off. The shrimp/chicken entree was ok. I was expecting it to be a little spicy since it was Cajun but it was more smokey flavored instead. It was a good flavor anyway and it was plenty to split between the two of us. The place was busy when we got there but the crowd slowly thinned out over the course of an hour. Our server was friendly and attentive. He was busy too but didn’t seem stressed about it. The atmosphere was casual. Even with a large crowd it wasn’t super loud in there. Prices were similar to other places we have been. Parking is a shared lot with other businesses in the strip mall. The food was ok. The service was good.

The food was not amazing. The fries were the best part of the dining experience even though the sauce on them was not my favorite . My shrimp and blackened chicken pasta was good with the andouille sauce. The meatloaf was nothing spectacular. The flavor in general real with their dishes is non existent. The burger was very plain, no real taste. The side of greens is just mixed green salad leaves. That’s it! Who wants just salad greens with nothing on them. The management team are also not very friendly or considerate. Needless to say, we will not be returning.

Google
Food was good and came out in perfect order. I was surprised that table of 6 automatically is hit with 20% gratuity and then there is a 2.5% fee on credit card use. It's a little much ... not like we were a party of 8 or 10 .... anyway we also had dessert which finished off the night good.

Google
Server was very engaging and friendly. Great at offering recommendations and checked in at regular intervals. Food was fantastic (salmon with sweet corn risotto and cinnamon toast crunch creme brulee) and the atmosphere was cozy.

Google
Nothing beats great customer service, and that is why I’m giving 5-stars. Kitchen hiccups tend to happen, but our server, Tara’s, response was above par! I loved the Golden Hour, it was refreshing, strong, and would order again. Fried Green Tomatoes could be their own meal. They were perfectly crisp, tangy center, and matched well with the whipped goat cheese. Sexy fries—Just do it! Fried pickles are one of the best we’ve ever tried. The bed of veggies that the Mahi-Mahi came on were scrumptious! I made a meal out of that alone. Now for absolute best item on the menu —ESPRESSO CRÈME BRÛLÉE! They make their Crème Brûlée onsite, it was perfect, and the espresso flavor was addicting. We definitely plan to come back! Atmosphere was great for how crowded it was. Only thing I’d like to see is more non-fried apps. But it’s not a deal breaker for a date night or dinner choice.

Google
(Almost) 50th birthday dinner with my 3 favorite people. I'm well aware of the restaurants reputation and nothing but good reviews. The service and staff we're great yet seemed flustered. They were very busy, sooooo maybe in the weeds? Unfortunately the food suffered. Incorrect/missing items, wrong tables etc...The atmosphere was great (and it being a special occasion) I'm felling generous. I will try again and hope it was a fluke. Currently TBD. I Will update asap. Side note the Sexy fries were 🔥!!!

This was my first time going to the Butcher and the Barkeep for a Birthday dinner for my daughter on Sunday August 17, 2025. The food was excellent, the service was on point and the atmosphere was a party. Loved everything about this restaurant. Will go back and the manager Krista went out of her way to make sure we had a great experience. Thank you. Christine Atkins

Google
The food was about average priced. The menu had interesting choices. The wait staff were very nice. However, the hostess wasn't very welcoming. It looked like she didn't want to be there and made us feel like we weren't supposed to be there. Seating is mixed booths and high-top tables. There is a bar and looked to be many choices.Very nice atmosphere. It doesn't seem to have a dress code but the hostess looked us up and down like there may be one? So not entirely sure.

Yelp
We stopped in here for brunch on a whim bc our usual place was too packed. We were seated right away. The place was big inside and decorated really nicely. They have a full bar and a private room in the back separated by beautiful sliding barn doors. The service was prompt and attentive. We tried 3 items from the brunch menu and each one was delicious. I plan to try it again for dinner! The only small thing I would mention was that the bathrooms were not great. Dark, cold and sort of dinghy. Not filthy but not super clean, either. Could have just been messy people before me, but lots of soap dripping down the wall. Certainly not bad enough to downgrade the stars tho. I'm a big one for bathroom cleanliness = kitchen cleanliness.... Lo

Yelp
Came here with my girlfriend for a Tuesday night dinner! It was great we were seated right away and our server was great! Food: sexy fries- is a must they are so tasty and couldn't get enough of it Chicken sandwich with fries- it was big and I had to cut it in half it was good and not dry Parking was great lots is parking spots. The inside of the restaurant is a little dark but it was fine Can't wait to come back and try the shrimp and grits - I heard this was amazing !

Yelp
From the waitress' to the food everything was fantastic. Highly recommended. I never write review but this place was so awesome the idea just popped in my head. To me, that's says a lot. A+++

Yelp
Great place to grab a quick bite to eat! Food was delicious and prepared exactly as ordered! The wait staff were very attentive and friendly. A good overall experience!

Yelp
Third visit to Butcher for lunch. I enjoy the rotating featured preparation of wings and mussels that are listed on the blackboard, though I skipped bc mussels were fra Diavlo and wings Buffalo- and stomach didn't want spice. I opted for calamari- freshly dredged, not pre-coated and frozen/ tasteless. Delicious: lightly coated, more like a tempura, not greasy, calamari tasted like....calamari! (Which, even at best, doesn't taste like much unless you're near the sea and it's fresh caught). Also included were hot peppers ( maybe fresnos and jalapeños?) that I sampled and were also good but had to skip. Portion wasn't huge, but it is just an appetizer and priced as such. My friend's blt with salmon was said to be good and came with fries or salad choice, a nice option. Alas, the beer list, only listed on blackboard and kinda hard to see with my mediocre eyes ( no printed tap list- I asked!), is just too IPA-heavy with Christmas ales and such taking up valuable space. Hey, I'm not against interesting craft brews, but there wasn't a regular pale ale, Pilsner, or lager on tap. I did enjoy my Great Divide yeti imperial stout however; just sharing my opinion that too much niche craft choices were a bit limiting. Bartender was also waiting tables, perhaps stretched a bit thin. After initial check in, I then sat at bar for @ 10 minutes waiting to order a beer which is a bit annoying since the seats at bar were mostly empty....and I was thirsty! Probably just a timing thing bc she was on top of things afterwards. Overall, I like this place- interesting menu, craft brews, nice interior, easy parking in lot, reasonable prices.

Yelp
Good sized pub with a very good menu. Always changes to the appetizers, cheese plate, etc. The main food selections are good and varied. Its calling card is the great beer and wine menu. Lots of classics and seasonals on tap / by the glass, and lots of others available in a big menu. The service was friendly and good. The ambience was low key and pub like. Well worth the trip, a good spot.

Yelp
This is one of our favorite local places! We absolutely love the sexy fries, we get them every time we go. We made a reservation tonight and they got us in right away even though we were early. I got the steak and my fiancé got the pork chop special. The food was excellent. We always get good service & tonight was no different. Our waitress Autumn was amazing. She was so quick and made sure we got everything we needed. Such a great local place for a date night!

Debra H.

Yelp
The service was very welcoming and accommodating. We had the cheese plate of the day, beet salad and mussels of the day. All were well prepared and the right portions.

Yelp
Used to live down the road and this was our favorite spot for years. We were back in the area and stopped by for lunch. Short rib grilled cheese: husband said it was decent but not amazing. Mahi mahi fish tacos: the fish was cooked great but the pieces were entirely too large so the topping for the tacos were piled on top, it was way too tall to eat. When you bite into it, you then only got a big bite of fish or a big bite of coleslaw, chipotle sauce & avocado. It was a mess to eat, honestly kinda made me mad it was so large. would be good if they made the fish prices smaller. Arancini: the best part of the meal. Perfectly crispy and had a good sauce on it! Still a great place, especially for the area.

Yelp
Decided on a last minute trip to the restaurant today. They did not disappoint. Great service and friendly staff. This was my first time visiting during brunch. There were plenty of breakfast and lunch options. It was after 2pm so I opted for a lunch meal. The falafel sandwich was good and filling. Love the fries. I tried a birch beer float for dessert. Very tasty.

Elliott C.

Yelp
Very warm and welcoming place. Service was very good. My wife's Chicken BLT was outstanding. My falafel sandwich was just OK.

Yelp
We went on a Saturday and had a reservation which I think is recommended. Started with the hush puppies and we loved the honey butter. The hummus was smoky chipotle. Tasted very fresh and so was the pita but neither of us really tasted peppers or smoke in it. Good none the less. He loved the brisket grilled cheese - filling but not greasy - and the fries which were crisp but needed some salt. I got the curried chickpea sandwich which I loved. Got greens on the side which were fine but just spring mix. Could've used some croutons or other veggies to dress it up as a side. We would return.

Yelp
Despite our orders getting mixed up and ordering a bad dessert, we still enjoyed a great meal. Our server, Karen, brought both great energy and great recommendations. Our apps, drinks and dinner were great. Highly recommend and we'll be back!

Yelp
We've been exploring the Harleysville / Lansdale restaurant scene as it's a convenient area to meet my parents for dinner. We enjoyed our night at the B&B but probably won't put it on our regular rotations. The food was quite good and our server was sweet but it was LOUD - partly just one boisterous table of gals who were having a great time. The special cocktails were fun - watermelon is definitely the theme of the summer - and the meat dishes tasty. The hush puppies, shortrib grilled cheese and shrimp and grits all got thumbs up from our group.

Yelp
Visited here for dinner with my parents after a long day. The wait staff was very friendly and well organised. They had plenty of people running food and drinks to the tables helping the waitresses and I was impressed by their efficiency. We ordered onion rings with horseradish sauce as appetiser, and everyone enjoyed them. We all would have enjoyed more horseradish in the sauce though, since it was barely noticeable. I ordered the mahi-mahi fish tacos and they were absolutely delicious. My parents both ordered the fillet minion, and although it looks weird and comes with onion rings on top, they both really enjoyed their meals. A gentleman stopped by our table to check on the temperature of the steaks to be sure they'd been cooked properly for us. (I don't know if he was the manager or the owner) There are many good points about this place, but I likely wouldn't go back because of the noise- at least not during a busy time. When we arrived, there were many empty tables and we requested to sit in the back section away from the loud people at the front. They accommodated us, and the waitress even turned down the music for us when my mother requested it. Despite that, halfway through our meal the tables filled in around us and the room was so noisy we couldn't even talk to each other without yelling, so we just gave ip. It was Friday and around 4:30 pm, so it's understandable. But I think for me it's a dealbreaker since we really weren't able to hear each other talk.

Alexis M.

Yelp
I love their food. Every holiday, birthday, celebration is celebrated here. My go to is always one of their burgers. I've had them all, and the flavor for each is pretty evenly balanced. I usually rotate between them. My parents are picky drinkers, normally ordering a beer they already have at home, but they always order the drink specials when we go. I can't really attest yet for how good their bar is personally, but I turn 21 in a couple days. And most importantly, THEIR SEXY FRIES. That's what they're called, it's a fry platter with hollandaise sauce on top. My sister hates cheese, refuses to touch it through its plastic wrapper, but she picks around it for these fries

Anne M.

Yelp
First time there. Server was very friendly and attentive. The food is where you lose stars. Fried chicken had no taste. The "corn soufflé" is just cornbread in a cup that is extremely dry. My husband's brisket was bland. The only good thing about his dinner was the fries.

Yelp
This was my first time at The Butcher and Barkeep in Harleysville, PA. Absolutely no complaints! We arrived around 2:00 PM and were welcomed by a " seat yourself " sign at the entrance. You get a very rustic Midwest vibe upon your entry. We immediately grabbed a comfortable two-top booth/chair combination. I positioned myself accordingly to view the giant chalkboard adjacent to the bar. Written in various colors were specialty appetizers, soups, entrees, and draft beers. Within a few moments of sitting down, we were greeted by a welcoming waitress. Our first decision was booze and an appetizer. We swiftly chose the Dead Head IPA and the fried green tomatoes. After scarfing down that southern delicacy, it was time for entrees. Our final decision? The BBQ pulled pork sandwich and the fried chicken Mac and cheese. DELICIOUS! The food and service were excellent, and the vibe was relaxing. No complaints; I will definitely return.

Yelp
Good food, fun ambiance, get reservations and be ready for some unique gastropub delicious options. Popular for a reason!

Jesse K.

Yelp
I was alone and sat at the bar. Staff was friendly and helpful, I got the beet salad and mahi, and the company around me was phenomenal. It was the most community I have felt in a good while, authentic fun, and I will most certainly be going back. It is a wonderful spot and you should give it a shot.
google avatar

David M.

Yelp
We had to wait twenty minutes for our table (though we had a reservation), but that's the only flaw in an otherwise flawless meal. We got the sexy fries and the honey hush puppies, and my wife got the house salad, all excellent. For entrees, my wife got the filet which was served with potatoes gratin and onion rings, and I got the shrimp & grits (recommended by our extremely attentive and professional server. We just moved to PA a few weeks ago and have already found a "favorite joint." Highly recommended. It is a pub, so it's loud and not a place for a quiet dinner out.
google avatar

David M.

Yelp
Atmosphere is cool. Had the house old fashion which was amazing! Sexy fries was interesting. I didn't realize it had Hollandaise sauce and I'm not a big fan of that but didn't deduct because of that. The filet mignon was sub par for something that's 27 bucks. It was under seasoned (although cooked perfectly) potato gratin that came with it had unevenly cooked potatoes. If everything was perfect then good would be delicious but coming down hard on it because of price and expectation of a filet mignon. No complaints to the servers though! Would recommend

Yelp
We are here last night as a party of 9 and it was great. We were there on the first night of a new menu and the food was delicious. Our server Steven was great and very helpful. The manager Michael was incredibly hospitable and made sure to spend some time with our table making sure everything was good. We will definitely be back and can't recommend this restaurant enough!

Charissa B.

Yelp
This is one of our go to spots, whether for a quick bite, a nicer dinner with friends or even brunch. The drinks are amazing, and the food is delicious as well. The service is very good, friendly and helpful. I always make a reservation before going and never have to wait more than 5 minutes to be seated. I appreciate that they do not rush you. It's a casual type of place yet also has very attentive management. I like asking the server for their take on the seasonal drinks and menu options!

Patti R.

Yelp
Excellent food , cocktails and service. Never disappoints. Menu has several good options from full entrees to great sandwiches.
google avatar

Yelp
My wife and I finally came here for dinner after she was here a year ago for a bridal shower. They didn't disappoint! The beer selection is excellent. Their cocktails are great. We had two beers and two cocktails. I had the Bolognese and my wife had the grilled meatloaf. Both were delicious and I would highly recommend each. We ordered hush puppies as well as an appetizer but our dinner came out first. The waitress was kind enough to take it off our bill since it came late. We told her she didn't have to but she insisted. We made up for it in her tip. Our reservation was for 5:30 on a Saturday night and we were there for about an hour. They had the lights turned low with candles on every table. It made for a nice date night atmosphere, even though there were people of all ages there.

Yelp
I'm sorry, but I have to leave a review about my recent experience. I've been going to the butcher for 5 years and it's always been phenomenal. Recently There's been a few hiccups here and there but everything has been fixed immediately and with a smile. this recent visit was awful!!!!!! AND, I was bringing someone from out of town to try my favorite restaurant that I've always rave about! First when we arrived, the hostess was missing (that is understandable). We waited about five minutes before she came over to greet us. However, when she walked over, she stared down at the desk and didn't say a word, no hello, no I'll be right with you, absolutely nothing!! we waited for another five minutes extremely awkwardly before she lifted her head and said, hi can I help you? we were then seated and it took a while for our waitress to come over. that was fine since, it gave my out-of-town friend and I time to chat. we decided on drinks and appetizers and when the waitress arrives she took our drink order, but refused to take her appetizer order, letting us know that she likes to write everything down at one time. we thought that was weird, but brushed it off! when she came back again we were still undecided about our entrées and she still didn't want to take our appetizer order. We insisted that we were hungry and would like the appetizers please put in while we decided on entrées, she finally agreed!! when the sexy fries came out I couldn't believe that there was no sauce on them. They were dry as a bone. I had to try and flag down the waitress multiple times as she was just standing in the corner chatting with another waitress, we even made eye contact, and she completely ignored me, she finally came over and fixed the issue and I asked for another drink. She tried to take the drink that I already had that still had some left in it and I told her I'd like to finish it and she literally said OK I can wait and I told her no she can come back please, I'm not chugging it down like a fraternity boy, and then when it was time to bring takeout containers, she brought six different containers for two small, leftover meals, and was very overwhelmed with what to give us. We were then not offered another drink or dessert. She just left the check on the table and left and kept checking back to see if the credit card was there And I found it very interesting that she was so on top of us to get her payment, but I couldn't even get her over to fix the sexy fries. I was just extremely disappointed with this experience after we've had nothing but good experiences but recently like I said, there has been some hiccups, and I don't know if it's just new staff or new management or what because there was a new Gentleman on the floor who was going around asking if everything was OK and he came up to our table all creepy and said that we were drinking his favorite pink drink. It was just really weird and blunt and awkward. I don't like that when I'm in the middle of chewing my food, so all in all I hope that the butcher can fix things up a little bit because I know other regulars who had some issues and I hate to see the butcher decline & the regulars not happy!

Yelp
First time going on New Year's Eve with family and friends, Very clean and friendly. We got sexy fries, Brussel sprout tacos, short ribs over mashed potatoes and a kids chicken tenders. I also got a fancy mixed drink it was very good but the price for it was a bit high for the amount I received. Over all I'll definitely go back .

Dorene H.

Yelp
Have to try the Sexy fries, amazing. They are a meal in themselves. Great selection of beer on tap and mixed drink selections.
google avatar

C G J.

Yelp
Great place. Food, drinks and staff are fantastic. Sexy fries, wings and mussels were delicious.

Dan S.

Yelp
Food was outstanding. Our server was clearly distracted by spending more time talking with other restaurant staff than providing service. This was a fairly minor issue, but worthy of a mention

Haley P.

Yelp
Waitress gave us water then never came back ended up leaving more hungry than when we got there.
google avatar

R P.

Yelp
Food is consistently good, drinks are excellent. Some of their "spicY' dishes aren't, but this is not a real issue. Sexy fries are excellent and their filet is really quite good. Bar staff is top notch.

Kendy M.

Yelp
The ambiance is really cool, but the food tries too hard. I want to love this place, but I always find it's just not quite right. Sometimes simpler is better. All the concoctions sound great in the menu, but they're just not.
google avatar

Scott M.

Yelp
The food was very good. But the website makes it seem like it's a little upscale. This is definitely a place I'd sit at the bar for beer and wings watching the game. Service was very good. But you don't have to dress up.
google avatar

Jane S.

Yelp
The bar is winning. This place has the best cocktails. I should dress better. My latest obsession is the Boozy Bouquet. The perfect drink for Spring. I also had the Salmon. Our server provided a recommendation from the chef for a little more rare than I like. I asked for well done. It was perfect. Not dry at all. We started with the fried pickles. They were spears this time. I liked the chips better. Wish they offered some bread. Another restaurant I like has a bread offering. I still love this place. I am never dissatisfied. BTW, I've been in the tent, they have really tried to make accomodation for the pandemic. The dessert is good.
google avatar

Deirdre C.

Yelp
I've been here a few times over the last few years. Every time it's good-the service and food. It's an hour drive from my house in Philadelphia or I'd visit more often. Yesterday I met a friend for lunch. We made a reservation for outdoor seating in one of their two heated tents. Tables were placed apart. We enjoyed an order of sexy fries to start. I mean, who comes here and doesn't get them!? They are just so good! I had the grilled cheese and soup of the day, which was loaded baked potato (or something along those lines). My friend enjoyed the fish tacos. Everything was really good and hot when it got to our table!

Zack G.

Yelp
I love the food love the service I love everything about this place I wish I could eat here every single day

Yelp
Love this place .... Usually . Just had dinner there . Party of 4 for my fathers birthday . We love the mussels !! And my father loves the sexy fries .... We all do actually . Decided to add an order of "wings" this time . Big mistake . Waitress told us they do them differently. Well they shouldn't even call them "wings" what you get is 5 legs . Drum and wing attached . Fried and drenched in sauce . Today was roasted garlic black pepper parm . Tasted like nothing . No pepper , no parm , just nothing . And the meat inside the legs was very dry . We are 1 , told the waitress they were not good . Manager stopped by the table ( they always do for everyone ) mentioned the " wings " were not good AT ALL ! We got our bill - drinks , apps , dinner . The wings still on the bill . You would think they would have removed them , halved them , something . We are 1!!! Will rethink this place next time . Usually our go too . One and only time we said we didn't like something. Should have done something !?!?

Yelp
This is definitely one of my favorite places in the greater Philadelphia area. The ambiance is rustic yet charming, romantic yet cozy. Drinks - 5 stars and beyond! Within the 20 solid craft beer on rotation, at least 3 are new or rare. They also have some limited edition bottled beers, as well as shareable (25 oz.). Craft cocktails are amazing! Even better - most of them are from local breweries and/or distilleries. Food - 5 stars. I really didn't expect such eclectic dining experience out of Harleysville. I love the plates because they're shareable and I've loved everything I've had. I love the fact the they keep surprising me with new items that are fresh and well crafted. My favorites including bouillabaisse and mahi mahi. So fresh and well executed. I would also highly recommend the daily meat and Cheese. The selection goes perfectly with the drink of your choice. Price is not cheap because you would want to keep ordering more plates or drinks. But it's worth every penny!

Yelp
Stopped in this past Fri night to get my last outdoor dining experience in for the year before the new mandate goes into effect. Glad I finally made it! The food did not disappoint. Our server, Aislie, mentioned the shrimp and grits was their most popular dish so I was sold. I ordered that and my man had the burger. He loved the wagyu beef and short rib grind. My dish was a straight up food-gasm. These grits just HIT different and are not Quaker instant grits lol! The grits were airy and fluffy and on top were plenty of butterflied shrimp, diced ham and this amazing cream sauce with sliced green onions. Even my man (doesn't like grits) loved my dish. I sipped on Bullet Proof, a stiff but tasty coffee drink. Def coming back for takeout/outdoor dining to help support this business during these tough times.

Chattycathy M.

Yelp
We had a large party of 15. We were all in town for a wedding. A lot of people did not know each other, but we all decided to have dinner at this restaurant. They refused to give us separate checks or separate credit cards for payment. The place was busy, service was poor, food was acceptable but nothing special. Someone had to pay for the whole tab knowing they did not know the other people or how they get payment from them. I find this totally ridiculous and will never be back.
google avatar

Dana S.

Yelp
I heard a lot of great things about this restaurant so I was excited to give it a try. I made reservations for an early Saturday dinner - I would highly recommend making reservations! We were sat relatively quickly. Our server and staff members were very friendly and attentive. At the table, my group ordered the sexy fries, burger, fish taco, and cheese steak. Everything came out quickly and was rather delicious. When my group went to pay, we noticed that there was a memo about a 2.5% fee added on to credit card transactions. I don't believe anything is posted on their website or menu about this so my table was caught a little off guard. Regardless of that, the quality of food and service will make me a repeat customer.
google avatar

Edmund D.

Yelp
I wish I had a gastropub like this near my house. It is near my mom's place though. The cocktails are excellent and the food very good. Also a very nice beer list. Definitely worth visiting. I will be back.

Susan L.

Yelp
Always delicious , nice variety on menu! . Would recommend you go!!! You'll definitely be back!

Bryan W.

Yelp
Hole. Lee. Crap. Now, I can't claim to be able to fully wrap my brain around all the moving parts involved in not only keeping a restaurant going through a months-long pandemic quarantine, but also reopening in accordance with evolving guidelines (How does a place provide outdoor dining in a strip mall? Tables in the parking lot!), but I've been to this place once before with my fiancee last fall, and felt it was one of the better offerings in the greater BucksMont area. Not only with the menu, but the beverage selections and atmosphere. Now, these days, obviously a restaurant can't really be graded on atmosphere, and I imagine the beverage menu is still up to snuff, but the 2 entree's and 2 salads we got this afternoon were almost hilariously underwhelming. I got a $9.50 "greek salad" and an $18.50 bowl of gumbo soup (normal-sized bowl, mind you) served over white rice. While the gumbo was decently edible - if one is not hoping for a focus on shrimp - the salad was 3 cups of chopped iceberg, some minced cucumber, 3 bell pepper slices, 1 halved green olive (gratefully pitted), and 5-ish nickel-sized chunks of goat cheese. The only thing keeping the laughter at bay was the $60+ tab for all 4 items. Again, I can't even imagine the scrambling that is needed for a business to survive something like that from which we are only starting to emerge, but I also couldn't have imagined a more expensive handful of lettuce. My rose-colored, best-case-scenario assessment of this establishment entering "Phase Green", in light of a past pleasant experience, is essentially like when I have to get up and run somewhere suddenly after sitting cross-legged for 2 hours. I'm lucky if I don't stumble sideways and slam my own head through the nearest drywall. I'm normally a bit more agile than that, just a victim of dead-legs, and typically regain footing with a couple more steps. I presume that's the story of what is happening here. My alternative assessment is a tad more tragic. I hope the parking lot clientele are having a more enjoyable experience and they write about it here. This restaurant, and nation, deserves it.

Yelp
Excellent service! Corn bread was amazing! Filet was good. Tater tots were amazing- queso was a little watery. Salmon was very good. We will definitely be back! Great menu!

Yelp
Been there several times and always had great meals. All the staff (hostesses, bartenders and wait staff) have always been friendly and attentive. They really know what they're doing here.

Yelp
WILL THEY BE NICE TO ME? I worked here when I was younger, and I can safely say that The Butcher and Barkeep is good because it's rich with the spirit of the workers, paired with the absolutely delicious food. Go eat at the butcher and barkeep. PRICE The prices are higher than average here, yes, but you pay for every extra cent in quality, from fresh ingredients they get brought to them regularly from local distributors, to the large spread of microbrews and other such beverages that they get set in from various brands. Go eat at the butcher and barkeep. WHO DO I GO WITH? Great place to take visiting family and friends; or to host an adult friend's birthday, even set up a work holiday party. One of the cool girls in your office is having a baby so you want to have a shower to get on her good side so you can move up the social chain at work? Go eat at the butcher and barkeep. CAN I DO A DATE HERE? If you love someone and want to take them on a relaxed yet still nice evening? If you've somehow pulled a ten and want to impress them with your choice of venue? You want to have delicious food to hide behind in case you get nervous? Take them to Butcher and Barkeep!
