The workout itself is awesome. The instructors vary, which is the case at any gym. The turnover is what I become worried about.
The instructors Rachelle, Kendra, and Jen are by far the best. They have the best music and are easy to understand and can have both beginners and vets feel comfortable in their class. They basically have the classes that kick your butt and you feel like you got the most bang for your buck and had fun doing it.
I am concerned when I see the schedule change often - for example as of this week Kendra no longer shows :(
Hopefully this isn't a trend and the others stay on, but I worry about purchasing a large long term package.
As for the on boarding experience I don't feel like the owners take enough pride in making a newbie feel welcome. I have told a couple friends and they have gone to an intro class. The one was in the building for 10 min before the owner (she thinks) came from the back. She was not welcoming at all. I don't think my friend will return.
The other time my friend was in class and basically was practically being bullied by not "transitioning" fast enough. I understand that is a key component, but when it is someones first time it needs to be more encouraging rather than derogatory. It definitely was a turn off for my friend, however, he is willing to come back because the idea of the workout itself is great and he wants to try a different instructor.
They have added spinning/reformer hybrid classes which have been a welcomed edition.
Overall it will be a great gym, and already is the best workout class I have been to. It just needs to be managed a little better and get through its growing pains.
