Yelp
The Butcher social club is a great space, with a nice bar and plenty of seating, modern aesthetic and well placed for a venue if you happen to find yourself on the Noord-side of Amsterdam: located conveniently close to the ferry. Mind you, The Butcher is a chain. Don't be mistaken, you can find this same burger chain in multiple countries.
The positive part of my review ends here but the following is equally hilarious:
We ordered two burgers with drinks on a rainy afternoon and were greeted by a friendly, English speaking waitress. Our burger orders were specific and our drink orders were simple and off the menu. Drinks came out perfectly. The side of fries? They were ok. Burgers? Horrendous.

We received absolutely charred, tasteless, bricks of meat. My significant other ordered a cheeseburger and there was no cheese on it! The buns and toppings were fresh, but honestly, we were _STUNNED_ by the fact that a burger restaurant with a bar, in Amsterdam, could even make the sordid mistake of serving food of this quality. And we had every intention of informing the wait staff of this issue.
But no one came back. Ever.
Seriously.
So I walked up to the bar and pointed at my table. I just asked for the bill at this point. They rang me up for two drinks. They forgot about the burgers and the fries. They charged me about 8 Euro.
I was blown away. So, via The Butchers own incompetence, I saved a bunch of money and didn't have to pay for one of the worst burgers l've ever had, anywhere.
Come here for drinks. But skip the food. The only reason I'm giving them two stars is due to what I saved on my bill due to their own mistakes. Yes, it's really that bad!
