My stay at Byke Resort, Cavelossim Beach, was quite disappointing. The rooms were in terrible condition, with mosquitoes everywhere. The geyser wasn’t working, and although the staff knew the reason, they weren’t making any effort to find a permanent solution.
A "double bed" actually meant two single beds with mattresses of different heights, making it uncomfortable. The check-in process was slow and took around 30 minutes. The welcome drink is always kokum, but it seemed to have been prepared and stored in the fridge for a long time.
The rooms had a bad odor, and the swimming pool was poorly maintained, with insects floating in it all the time and unclean water. While the property looks nice in photographs, the reality of the rooms is quite different.
On the positive side, the food was tasty, and the location is great—just a short 100-meter walk to the beach.
Lot of negative comments, still Byke management doing nothing to improve the property experience. I will hesitate to book their other properties as well.
