I am rating this resort one star primarily due to the poor hospitality and unprofessional behavior I experienced during my stay, which did not justify the price paid—despite the otherwise pleasant lake-view ambiance.
Normally, I don’t take the time to write reviews, but my experience compelled me to do so for three key reasons.
1. Poor Reception Experience
Upon arrival, I met the receptionist, Mr. Sunny Gupta, whose approach was extremely disappointing. My confirmed booking (through an online app) was not reflecting in their internal system. Instead of assisting politely or resolving the issue calmly, Mr. Gupta displayed unnecessary aggression and a lack of basic hospitality skills. His tone and attitude made me feel unwelcome, setting a very poor first impression.
2. Billing and Invoice Issues
Two days later, I used their laundry service and received a handwritten receipt showing an 18% tax but without any GST number. When I requested a proper invoice, the staff and the laundry owner insisted the charges would be added to my main bill. However, at checkout, Mr. Gupta demanded payment first in a very aggressive manner and only later offered to provide the invoice. To avoid further conflict, I paid the amount—but this behavior was entirely unprofessional and unacceptable in the hospitality industry.
3. Maintenance Concerns
There were several mosquitoes in the room, and I had to request mosquito repellent, which was only provided later. For the last two days of my stay, there were also honeybees near the door, which made it uncomfortable and unsafe to step outside.
Overall, while the location and view were good, the lack of professionalism, poor customer service, and inadequate maintenance overshadowed everything else. I will not consider staying at this property again and would not recommend it to others until management takes serious steps to improve staff behavior and guest experience.
