Yelp
The Cadbury is a really cool pub in St Pauls. Very near the railway station, it's got a very large back garden, with both seating area and a grassed garden patch (I've only been here at night so have never seen the grass bit in the daylight). It's always been really busy when I've been in. There's a bar which has a good selection of ales, beers and spirits - they're not so strong on wine but the rest will keep you going for sure. It's got a really nice atmosphere - the indoor part isn't massive so fills up quite quickly, but the outdoor section allows for a lot more seating and is entirely heated. A really good pub in a tucked away location, well worth searching out for a drink.

Yelp
A thoroughly boho and shabby chic little establishment in Montpelier, The Cadbury is my favourite sort of pub: a great combination of classic, dark, old pub serving pints of local cider, and youthful, liberal hideaway with funky graffiti murals, huge beer garden, and reggae music. I came here with friends on Sunday, to enjoy their special "Reggae and Roasts". It's actually quite difficult to find a pub that will do Sunday roasts beyond about 3pm, so we were pleased to find that The Cadbury serves it until 6pm. My two veggie pals chose the chickpea and nut roast, while I went for the topside of beef with all the trimmings. And what a roast it was! At the great price of £7.50, each plate came with yummy Yorkshires, roast tatties, a range of vegetables and very hot gravy. It all had a very home made feel to it, not that slightly too neat and shiny roast you get in some bigger pubs. We sat outside in the huge garden, which has several big picnic tables. The atmosphere out there is brilliant - mainly students and young professionals, but also some older locals - and before we knew it we had been out there chatting away for five hours. Delightful.

Yelp
Apparently owned by the man behind St Werburgh's delightful The Farm and recently rejuvenated Montpelier pub The Old England, The Cadbury shares the trademark laidback, faintly hippyish vibe. There's nothing wildly different about this pub. It's just a pleasant, easy-going place to enjoy a pint in of an evening, with a great garden and music selection to ease the process. Which is perhaps reason enough for its popularity...

Yelp
Nothing to do with chocolate, this pub is a slightly leftfield establishment up a hill in the St. Pauls/Montpellier part of Bristol. You'll be a bit more likely to see hippyish characters here than in other pubs; The Cadbury attracts a chilled out, young crowd. This makes for friendly evening where you can sit in the garden under the porch and watch the stars for a while. It's a little out of the way, more or less in a residential area. But at only 5 minutes walk from Stokes Croft, its only a little detour on a pub crawl into town and worth it in my opinion. Also, although its up a hill the bar staff let me bring my bike in and leave it out the back, so consider cycling here. You'll probably being going downhill to get home anyway. Hidden away, The Cadbury is a gem of Bristol that you should definitely take the time to find.

Yelp
The Cadbury is a great pub which sits slightly off the beaten track in Montpelier. Despite this, it always seems to be busy with a young bohemian crowd (it's extremely rare to see anyone in there 40s in there). There's a real buzz about the place, and on weekends, the whole clientele seem to be either on their way out to a club or recovering from the previous night. To this end there are often DJ sets, while other attractions include the real ales and the big covered garden which comes complete with loads of seating and even a pool table. Recommended if you fancy a lively drink.

Yelp
The Cadbury House is in my opinion definitely somewhere that is worth visiting whether its to grab some good pub grub or just for a drink with a few friends. The inside is lovely and there's a very warm and welcoming atmosphere any day of the week, and the staff always have a smile on their faces which helps to make for an enjoyable experience here. They serve very reasonably priced food, making it popular with the student market as well as locals, and their grub is delicious too. On Sundays they serve a brilliant pub roast which is only around £7-£8! I would definitely recommend it in the summer months as they have a lovely little beer garden which is great on a warm summers evening. Even on colder nights the outdoors is great, as they have some of those outdoor heaters. You can't really go wrong with this pub and definitely give it a try the next time you want to try out somewhere new.

Yelp
This is a funky local pub in montpelier. It is also very much a representation of Montpelier as a region with most of the clientelle being under 40 and cool in a bohemian, pikey struggling art student / musician / writer disposition (that's a good thing btw), then there's also the dodgyer types but from my experience this is as friendly a pub you could ever wish to frequent. You can even spot the occasional famous face in here with members of groups such as Massive Attack and and Portishead living near by. I'm also told Banksy comes here but then he's not exactly recognisable. On entering the Cadbury it's like entering a cavern as you immediately go down some steps and it has a low cieling and pillars come walls through out the inside. The beer selection is healthy with doombar and gem being regulars. They don't have a huge selection of drinks but then if you wanted cocktails you wouldn't come here. The bar staff are efficient but it can get very busy in the evenings so be prepared to wait a while. I haven't visited here since the smoking ban took effect but what was surprising whenever I did come here was that even though people could (at the time) smoke inside, most patrons sat outside to smoke. Roll ups being the cigarette of choice. In many resepcts it was quite whacky, that people chose to smoke outside, even in the winter! The reason for this could be is because the outside area is a good size and very well protected form the elements. There's around 8-10 pub table come benches for people and at busy times most groups mingle with others. As mentioned it's all very Bohemian. This pub isn't for everyone however I like it, it comes across as being quite modern yet it has a real character.

Yelp
The Cadbury House is a large pub in Montpelier. It is always packed out and most of the customers are young. Lots of students drink here. The atmosphere at the Cadbury house is lively with loud music and plenty going on. There is a covered outdoor area where all the smokers go, last time I drank in the outdoor area I came home with my clothes smelling of smoke, it was like the days before the smoking ban! There is something about the Cadbury House that I don't like, I think it feels quite cliquey and there is are never any free tables in the garden in the summer.

Yelp
Feeling down with the World, and the pressures of modern life? Then come to the Cadbury, Richmond Road, Montpelier and allow the potent atmosphere to soothe your tired bones, and fill your head with laughter. The pub has recently been refurbed (and has a much nicer front now than in the picture on this website), and is very pleasant inside. There is a fireplace, often sporting a roaring fire on chilly Bristol evenings, and always plenty of friendly faces willing to shoot the breeze or offer advice to the passer-by. If you're after a more private drink, there is plenty of seating in little corners and gaps; ideal for setting up a comfortable drinking sphere with friends. The (very) spacious garden is a feature, generally full of weirdoes and Ben and Jerry's fans. Not to mention local hippies with young family in tow. There is good shelter for smokey, wet weekends and a free pool table (which is without a doubt the worst pool table in England! But it's free!!). Staff are lovely, when treated like people. If you click your fingers or take an attitude to the bar, you're likely to be told where to go... My tip: Try this pub out on a weeknight. The Cadbury- my favourite 'schoolnight' drinking spot.

Yelp
Way out west (near Stokes Croft), The Cadbury fulfils my basic need for a comfy seat and a pint. They've started serving up some tasty morsels too, so there's nothing bad I can say. The clientele wouldn't be out of place in the stone circle at Glastonbury, but its far friendlier than some of the stark, faceless establishments of the city centre. As far as pub gardens go, this one is big, green and full of benches.

Yelp
Cadbury can be cliquey that is true.and it can be full of kids who think there streets but who cares, as long as you dont go in there all the time and get fed up with all that its a nicely situated, no-nonsense drinking gaff with lovely ale. Doombar and otter and such like always go down a treat and the meals are sometimes well nice- like the pie and mash. Also, if your drunk in the day and its summer and you want to sit outside for ages then the nachos will bring you round for more ale! hooray. Oh and its right near the train station so you can step off a train and straight into a pint :)

Yelp
This is an extremely popular pub in its area, with a vast selection of beers, a chilled out atmosphere, and good food. Plus an outside area which is very popular among the smokers. Enjoy music from live DJs of a weekend.

Yelp
This is a gret pub, in the uber cool suburb of Montpellier. It has a big outside area, and is big inside too, and is mainly populated by under 30s. The drink prices are reasonable, and the staff friendly. If you're looking for somwhere friendly to chill out for the evening with your freinds this is a great place to go.

Yelp
No matter how many times I visit the Cadbury, I always struggle to find it and end up walking round in big old circle and am gagging for a pint by the end. But perhaps that is part of its charm- hidden away in the scenic back streets of Montpelier, the Cadbury is a real gem. It attracts a fairly mixed clientele and boasts a great menu and a lovely laid-back vibe. The garden is also a great spot for an after-work summer pint. The pub's roasts and reggae have become legendary in the area and you can always phone ahead to check how many portions they have left and even reserve one if stocks are running low and you're on your way. They do a selection of all meats with a great veggie option. The food is good hearty fare with all the classics from big old burgers to lighter bites catered for. And for the Real Ale heads, there's plenty of tipples to choose from- including Bath Ales Gem and St Austell's Tribute. There is also a great selection of rums and whiskies and bottled and draught ciders. In fact I might just head there now!

Yelp
I do love this pub. It's a hidden gem. Beautiful and vintage-looking on the inside, with a warm fireplace for the cold winter nights. I believe they have upgraded their menu recently and change it up a bit every now and again and everything is just delicious. Perhaps the best pub food I have had. Always cooked well. The roasts are rich and delicious too with vegetarian choices. There is always a great selection of music playing whether that is live, a DJ or just the cd player. Very chilled out and friendly crowd and a warm and welcoming atmosphere, welcoming even dogs in the establishment. It is an all-around great place to go for a pint and some good pub dinner.
