Good location and reception staff were wonderful. We booked two rooms for friends and ourselves. We were on the fourth floor. Rooms did not reflect any of the advertising on website. Rooms were tiny and very basic, no complimentary water and no plug on one side of the bed. Flooring was old fashioned and all the woodwork on the bedroom units was chipped (desk, wardrobe shelving unit and bedside open cupboards. Curtain was basic and poor quality. Bed was very comfy and the linen reasonable. Good towels. Bathroom so small we couldn’t both go in at the same time. In need of a refresh. Feel we overpaid for the standard of the rooms and would not book here again. Did not eat, breakfast area was like a canteen with low spec furniture. Good location for Hyde Park venue but we don’t manage to identify the local hub for coffee/pub etc. whole experience was rather perfunctory and soulless.

We had a great stay here in early May. It started with a friendly and helpful desk agent. This friendly attitude was shared by everyone who worked there and was greatly appreciated! |The room was nice, a bit small, but that's ok because we were not there to hang-out in our room. It was very clean and quiet. They have beverage options as well as a small refrigerator stocked with a few drinks (soda and beers) as well as glass bottled water. My only complaint was that there were no electric sockets in the bathroom.|The breakfast option was great and highly recommended. The breakfast area is lovely with an area for buffet options as well as sit down service for an ordered item. The food was delicious and the wait staff was gracious and attentive. |Last: the location of the hotel. It is in a nice quiet neighborhood not too far from Paddington station (we walked to the hotel from the station). However, it is a bit away from London city. We took a cab one day and the tube another day, but otherwise, we walked through the beautiful Hyde Park.

Staff was super friendly and helpful, at the same time very professional. At our arrival they let us see our room and showed us another one that was bigger; we picked that one as it was more comfortable for us, the price difference was not much so we were happy to pay it to have more room for our luggage, also the bathroom was very roomy and allowed my friend and I to have our privacy. Breakfast had a great variety of cheeses, cold cuts, olives, breads, spreads, smoothies, fruit, etc… what we loved most was the personalized orders of eggs, omelets, toasts… their avocado toast was so good. Well I am a foodie so the breakfast for me was pretty amazing. Bed and pillows were comfortable. Near Paddington Station and restaurants. I would definitely stay there again.

Google
Great hotel in a great location! The rooms and beds were very comfortable and the finishings were high end and of good quality. The staff was very friendly and attentive and quick to bring us anything we needed. Housekeeping also refreshed water, coffee, tea, and biscuits every night. Our room was in the ground floor and it was super quiet, even at night. It’s located in a somewhat residential area, which is very nice if you’re looking to get out of the hustle and bustle of touristy areas. That said, it’s a stones throw from Hyde Park, within walking distance from several tube stations, and close to Notting Hill. There is also a great coffee shop down the street, great for a morning coffee and pastry, and walking distance from multiple restaurants.

Google
The staff is very friendly. At the reception, we were assisted both at check-in and check-out by Yuri, a very kind and efficient person. The breakfast is truly very good, with all the menus translated into Spanish. All the staff working there are friendly and also very helpful. The gym is small but has the necessary conditions for a cardio workout or a traditional one. There is a sauna available for use. The rooms have air conditioning that works very well. The bed is comfortable. You can’t hear any street noise because it’s a quiet area. Good conditions for the price.

Great staff! Very helpful and attentive. Always ready to assist in anyway necessary. Hotel has beautiful classic decor - love the mosaics! Interior and exterior spaces are well maintained. Location is fantastic! Housekeeping services were prompt and thorough.

The hotel is 10-15 mins walk from underground stations. We had a suite which was large and had a very comfortable bed. There were complimentary umbrellas for use. |On the down side, I think the lobby could be more inviting. And there is no cafe in house. |The staff are pleasant but not super helpful ( eg. Couldn’t recommend us to a particular cafe for breakfast- just said walk to the end of the road and turn left and see what you can find)

Stayed for one night whilst visiting London with my wife. Located in a really good spot for getting around London, being close to Paddington for trains and tube - and right next to Hyde Park for a nice walk. ||The staff are very friendly, but even though we paid in full when booking, there was still an additional £50 deposit to pay when we arrived (it was refunded on check out, but was a bit of a surprise as I hadn't seen this mentioned when booking). ||The room was pretty small but nice. Bed was comfy and the rain shower was beautiful. ||When we returned to our room in the evening, we noticed a large number of ants coming into the room through a crack in the floor by the window. Too be fair to the staff, they moved us immediately and upgraded our room to one of the larger rooms. If I were baking here again, I would go for the bigger room, as the smaller ones feel somewhat claustrophobic when you have luggage with you as well - but would be fine for one person for one night. ||The breakfast was really nice, although the coffee wasn't great - so I went to a small independent coffee shop round the corner for my caffeine fix. ||Overall, for the price, the initial room was a bit small and the unexpected additional cost was a disappointing surprise - but the staff were very helpful, welcoming and friendly. I have stayed in nicer hotels for less money, but they weren't in central London.

Yelp
We stayed 2 nights at Caesar hotel. It was a last minute decision to stay here. The rooms were very spacious for London. Staff was very accommodating. This part of London was fun to explore. Walk through Kensington park and to the castle there. The park dedicated to princess Diana is very close by. Queensborough street is filled with restaurants from every ethnicity. Location location location! The price was super reasonable!

Yelp
Nice hotel with friendly, attentive staff in a great location. Be warned the rooms are on the small side but it is London, a Victorian building and to be expected. We'd definitely return based on location and access to everything.

Yelp
This hotel was really nice and in a good location. I did not care for England, but being able to come back to the hotel at the end of the day was a nice escape from it all. The staff was very friendly and patient with us. They even went out of their way to do odd things such as fill up my water bottle. Their restaurant was a bit slow though, even though nobody was there. The food was good though.

Yelp
Stayed here for 5 nights and thoroughly enjoyed everything about it. Although checkin is at 2, the front desk staff was able to get me a room by 11am, which was nice after a long day of travel. The rooms are a bit small, but that is par for the course. Everything in the rooms is quite nice -- comfortable bed and pillows, nice amenities, fast wifi, etc. I did not really notice the noise like some other guests, although some banging and such could be hears by the cleaning staff in the morning (but, really, why stay in the hotel room until 10 or 11AM when you could be out exploring?) The breakfast is a bit overpriced for what you get, so I would recommend not doing that and going to one of the restaurants within walking distance. The hotel restaurant/bar is actually really tasty...burgers were the best thing I got. The hotel is in a great location, only a few minutes away from 2 tube stations and plenty of bus lines. It is also very easy to get to from the Paddington station if you take the Heathrow Express to get into the city. I was very impressed with the hotel and would definitely consider staying again.

Yelp
I love this hotel. Let me explain why. First and foremost, the location of the hotel is perfect. It's in a quiet neighborhood but just a couple blocks away from all of the great restaurants on Craven Road and just a short distance from the train (Heathrow Express) that takes you to and from the airport. The room was what is to be expected for a hotel in Europe, smaller in size than those in the states, but I found it to be cozy and just enough space. Besides, who wants to stay in their hotel room while vacationing in London? The service at the front desk was superb! Upon arriving, Liam checked me in and gave me a map of London and pointed out the restaurant (Clos Maggiore) that I was going to that evening. He also told me the cheapest, fastest way to get there. Now for the incredible part. I did a dumb thing. I left my iPhone in an Uber after he dropped me off at the Wimbledon Stadium to watch a game. I tried to make contact with the driver to get it back, to no avail. All of my pictures of London and a day in Paris were gone in the blink of an eye. Ultimately, I wrote Uber, stating I was unable to reach the driver and my phone had been left in his car. The next day I flew home to the US. The following morning, I received an email saying that the driver has the phone and I can make arrangements to meet him. Cool - other than the fact that he's in London and I'm in D.C.?!? So, I called the hotel and they were so freaking awesome. The driver dropped my phone off at the Caeser and they express mailed my iPhone to me the very same day. My iPhone reached me in only three days and it was packaged so carefully. I could tell a lot of time and care went into the handling of my phone. They really went out of their way and I am extremely grateful. Thank you!!!!

Yelp
My mother, who lives in Barcelona, decided to come on a little holiday jaunt to London for an extended weekend, and I stayed with her in her choice of hotel. She booked a room with the group Derby Hotels, a company that she has worked with for years, and who have consistently provided comfort and style for a fraction of the price of other places of the same standard. We weren't disappointed. This place is elegant, central chic, and the staff are very friendly and accommodating. It's a small place, but although the rooms are compact, the design is sleek and warm, resulting in a clean and bright feel. The Derby Hotels owner, Jordi Clos, who is an avid art collector and founder of the Museum of Egyptology in Barcelona, also displays some of his pieces here. For a double room, with continental breakfast included, expect to pay around £100. The hotel is equipped with meeting rooms, restaurant/bar and Gym and Sauna.

Yelp
I think I got lucky with my experience with the hotel. We got upgraded to a much bigger room which I'm not sure for what reason but I'll take it! Great size with a separate living space. A lot of the yelp complaints seem to be coming from those with the small rooms, the hotel is very reasonably priced so maybe it's worth paying a little extra for that comfort. The room itself was very clean and modern. You can tell the walls are a bit thin due to it being an old building, but the neighborhood was pretty quiet that we weren't disturbed by noise. I think the front desk service could use some improving. When asked directions to another neighborhood in London, we were pointed the wrong direction. On another occasion, the guy just wasn't nice and cut me off mid conversation on the phone. Location was great, walking distance to the tube and bus. It's even better if you're flying in and out of Heathrow because paddington station was only about a ten minute walk away (and just 20 minutes on the Heathrow express to airport).

Yelp
As far as hotels go I'm a practical person. As long as the room is clean, the bed is sleepable, and the shower has good water pressure I'm happy. This being said, the Caeser Hotel hits that sweet spot of: location, service, and price. My partner and I stayed here for a week on a during March. I was a little worried about the check in time being so late in the day (2PM) since our plane arrived around 10am, but it proved not to be a problem. When we arrived early the staff checked our bags behind the desk and we were able to explore the neighborhood and get a bite to eat before returning and checking into the room. The room deposit was reasonable and promptly returned to us upon check out. The rooms themselves are simple and clean. We reserved a "Superior Room" with one double bed, a TV, closet, and drawers. We were garden level so there was a beautiful view of the blossoming trees outside. It never got anywhere near "noisy" only the occasional laughing group of people. I was EXTRA excited (as an American) that the room came with a hair dryer because I'm too afraid to use my own in EU outlets without shutting down half of the hotel's electricity. Everyday new toiletries were provided which proved to be helpful for my partner who forgot his own. I see a lot of reviews saying their rooms were small, but I have been in MUCH smaller accommodations. The bathroom feels a bit tight but I'm not a person who spends their vacation lounging about the hotel room so I never felt constrained. There was enough space for us to unpack and relax when we came home at the end of the night. The supply of tea, sugar, and cream was restocked everyday and it became our morning ritual to have a cup together before heading out to explore! The location is why I originally chose this Hotel and on that point it is FANTASTIC. We walked everywhere. Granted the two of us prefer to walk over getting a cab so our "walking distance" may be a few miles off everyone else. That being said it is a quite reasonable distance from many of the Museums, restaurants, and attractions. We walked through the park almost everyday. If you plan on using the Underground to get around this hotel is in a priceless spot, and easy to access from public transit.

Yelp
Beware: the double room was ridiculously small! Yes, London is infamous for this, but we could not even pass by each other in any part of the room! The front desk staff were efficient and courteous, but I would not go as far as friendly. However, cleaning people always greeted us with a hello and warm smile, and the neighborhood was quaint and quiet. Did not try the restaurant or 16 pound breakfast. Insider tip: go down the street to a restaurant for the same breakfast for 5 pounds or self cater at one of the express grocery stores. Also, decent coffee at Starbucks, as well as the Bayswater tube stop, are a 10 minute walk from this place. My recommendation: there has to be better value for your pound elsewhere in this neighborhood.

Yelp
Nice trendy Boutique hotel. So I found this hotel on Trip Advisor for under $200 a night and stayed here for 5 days. Quite surprisingly our room was remodeled but quite small, but it's like any standard room in Europe with some spunk. I was kind of surprised that it was in a pretty good location. There's Paddington up the street and its about .4 miles from the Bayswater station which has variety of food, from Chinese, Lebanese, Mediteranian,McDonalds, Indian and more. There's also a shopping mall which was quite hidden. The staff was very nice and the service was superb. I would highly recommend this place if your looking for a nice trendy hotel under $200 a night.

Yelp
Beautiful little Boutique Hotel! We stayed for a couple of days in London and could not have been happier. Great value for money, quiet beautiful upscale neighborhood close enough to Hyde Park & Tube stations. The rooms were small (but even the rooms in the Hilton in London are tiny...) but clean and comfy, quiet & most importantly a huge soft bed. The staff was super friendly (we checked in at 4 in the morning cos we got caught up in the snow nightmare just before xmas and the staff was smiling and joking + the checkin was super fast and uncomplicated which made us feel at ease) the breakfast area as well as the reception super funky and the breakfast choice (buffet style european breakfast) was good. Overall a great experience and good value for money.

Yelp
Very friendly staff, excellent location, very quiet and at 5 minutes walking of Hyde park. Room is modern and comfortable, but our bathroom was too small (our friends had a better bathroom). Breakfast simple and expensive, but at short distance enough places for a good breakfast. Room prices for London center are very modest.

Yelp
Positives: - staff: friendly and accommodating. I had some problem with my first room and they immediately changed room for me. - location: within walking distance of paddington station but the neighborhood is very quiet. Also just a short walk away from Hyde park. Note, it is a very touristy area in general (tons of hotels nearby), it's good for short term stay but I'd not stay near here for more than 4 days. Things I didn't like: - room condition: for a deluxe room that costs around £140, it's tiny(welcome to the reality of London real estate). There is no fridge, microwave or alarm clock in the room. The AC can only be turn on to 21/22 degrees. I stayed there during two of the rare hot days in London, when the AC is on the room is freezing cold, but when it's off it's way too warm. The bathroom door faces the bed directly, the TV screen is tiny(about the same size as my laptop's monitor). In the first room I got, there was an unpleasant humid kind of smell, and the TV turns itself off randomly. The walls and doors seem aged, desperately needs a facelift. - the hall ways on the ground floor has no AC! It felt hot and stuffy. In general the hotel served the purpose and the staff were really awesome, but the facility made me feel glad that I only had to stay for 2 nights.

Yelp
Our 4 night stay wasn't bad but it wasn't great. My husband and I felt like we lived in a shoebox (coming from longtime studio apartment dwellers). The telly was proportional to the size of the room and selection of channel was barely basic cable (way to cut costs). The decor was similarly simplistic and the hotel doesn't believe in tissue boxes. We didn't bother having the room made on any of the days, as there was little space for us to make a mess. The hotel doesn't make or break our trip, but the less than decent things are noteworthy.

Yelp
Loved it! Decent room size, clean, and friendly staff. We picked it after reading reviews and stayed six nights. Our room had a king size bed and had enough space for our two bigger suitcases easily tucked away on their side to be opened. The bathroom was the cleanest I had ever seen in a hotel and the entire room was lovely! The staff is friendly. There is also a bar and restaurant on site. We walked to little cafes or pubs for food or were out most of the time. We did spend a few evenings in, but had plenty of space to relax in our room. We will definitely stay here again!

Yelp
Nice hotel and close to Paddington, which was my number one criteria. Very surprised how quiet the surrounding neighborhood is ( another plus) even on Saturday night. Nice selection of ethnic restaurants within walking distance. Close to Hyde park. Would definitely return. Ask fro room on 1st floor or higher.

Yelp
"Bang, bang, bang on the door baby: bang bang bang!" OK maybe the b-52s weren't from London, but maybe they stayed at the Caesar? Despite it's awesome location and cool decor, all I will remember it for is its paper thin walls and obnoxiously loud cleaning staff. I was awoken every morning at 0700 by thumping on walls and slamming doors as they finished cleaning other rooms. If it wasn't for that, I'd stay here again.

S A.

Yelp
Great hotel. Great staff, just spent 4 nights and really was "iffy" as Bayswater is filled with several types of hotels. Yes, the rooms are small, its London they are small everywhere. But they are clean, modern and safe. The staff really was a stand out. They were a Ritz Carlton quality staff. So helpful and willing to help out as much as they can. They say Bayswater & Queenway are the closest tubes, but I found Paddington Station to be easier to get to and more rail service. From Heathrow take Heathrow Connect for 9.25 and you'll be at the hotel in 30 minutes. (Heathrow Express is quicker, but more $$) I will be back in London, and I will be back at The Caesar.

Yelp
This hotel is about a 15 minute walk to the tube or 10 minutes to the bus. Otherwise, the bed and pillows were very comfortable and the staff was very friendly.

Yelp
This review is not a reflection on its staff at all (who from front desk to housekeeping) do a great job. Hotels on various travel sites are given star ratings on the basis of stated amenities rather than basic comfort (about which it is really up to reviewers who have actually stayed at a hotel to elucidate). The room I stayed in was uncomfortable. The bed was hard in a way where you could feel the metal structures of the mattress. The desk chair provided had no back: it was merely an ottoman. The "closet" was merely a shallow armoire where even a sport jacket placed on a hanger had part of it resting on a shelf below. Since it was that shallow, the room save was in it and could not hold a laptop (as many now do). The hotel was really a pig in a poke I got from Hotwire. And the room truly felt like being in a poke. It was so small that it was difficult to turn my rolling carry-on bag around. The bed, already structurally uncomfortable was a twin bed against a wall (where turning over felt like a challenge not to fall on the floor). Then there was the bathroom. it was clean, crisp, with really excellent toiletries. BUT given that this was a renovated old building, the bathroom floor was at a slightly different level than the room itself. Between those two levels was a door jam. It was an invitation to tripping and falling (especially in the middle of the night). So what I did was to make sure I kept the door closed as a reminder that I had to be EXTRA careful. What might have worked would have been to build up the floor to same level as the room itself. Also despite the hallway being carpeted, when anyone walked past, it resounded loudly and the room shook. Renovating old buildings has to be done correctly. It's clear there was not any use testing from the guest point of view. I don't care how chic this place is supposed to be or about its restaurant(s). There were plenty of excellent ones nearby. It looked good, but was uncomfortable ...and to stretch the metaphor further: lipstick on a pig. Steer clear.

Yelp
The hotel is very nice and located in a pretty pet of town and short walk away from Hyde Park. The rooms were very modern, chic, and clean. However the rooms are very tiny. Like, one person able to walk around at a time kind of tiny. But small rooms is pretty common for London so I knew to expect this. One of the nights we stayed we wanted to order room service while we packed, but after calling 4 times no one answered. We finally called the front desk who transferred us to the same number that would not answer. Eventually they front desk was able to take our order and relay it to room service for us. The hotel boasts its proximity near Paddington Station. Let me clarify that it is a 15 minute walk to Paddington station. This walk isn't bad at all, unless you're carrying multiple bags of luggage. I felt that this piece of information was a little misleading. Other than the small rooms, issue with room service, and misleading proximity to transport hubs, our stay was pretty nice. The staff was otherwise friendly and accommodating and the rooms kept very clean.

Yelp
Our hotel room was robbed by staff! My cousin and I just stayed at the Caesar Hotel in London, part of the Derby Hotel Collection, and were robbed from our room by staff! We filed a report with the manager and the police but to no avail. Not only was our luggage pilfered, but the manager did nothing for our troubles and told us he had no reason to believe us. Absolutely appalled by this hotel.

Yelp
Wow, i love the feel and look of this hotel. Very chic, urban, and modern. Quite fashionable indeed. For a low price of 100 GBP, you can have your own closet. Yes the single room i got for that price was extremely tight. The whole room was a single bed and maybe a 2 foot walking path beside it, I had to step over my suitcase on the floor to get to the bathroom. However, the clean design makes the tight room feel somewhat manageable and makes me feel artsy when I'm in the place. The location is a bit of a walk to a nearby tube station, and Taxi's aren't always waiting at your doorstep, so not quite prime real estate for the walking individual, however, the abundance of Aston's and Bentley's parked along the surrounding streets made the 20 minute walks to the tube more than enjoyable. The great design and clean feel of the hotel (along with the car porn) made up for the extremely small room.

Yelp
Stayed here on my honeymoon for three nights. The staff was great. They were very friendly and helpful. The rooms were very clean and our particular room was spacious, although I can imagine some of them are smaller as is common throughout Europe. Regardless, when one is vacationing in London, there is soooo much to do you are rarely in the room. They were under construction in areas, so I am guessing it will just get nicer. Overall, I was impressed and would stay here again.
