The owners/hosts of The Cafe are some of the warmest persons I have come across. Our group had visited twice during the week of July 4th. There are plenty of different dishes to choose from and they are able to adjust for dietary restrictions as needed. The food was freshly made and very satisfying. The juices and coffees were brilliant as well. We were so full from the main course that we could not taste the desserts. To the owners and the chef, thank you for the memorable experience and brilliant food!!

Google
Recommended to us by someone who visits Key West often, and it was the perfect place for a great meal. When traveling, it can be tough to find food that’s both delicious and healthy, but you can here! The waitress was really nice. The bathroom was a piece of art, and they had samples of local scrubs that smelled so good we ended up buying some as gifts. Vegetarian-friendly, meat-eater approved.

Google
Vegan options! WOW the food is really tasty. They have lots of vegan, vegetarian and gluten free options including desserts! We went for lunch. I had the "Chicken" salad sandwich with the bean salad - both were delicious! My husband had the Ceasar Kale salad which was a generous portion. I got the Fresh limeade (also very good). I saw they have breakfast/brunch options too so will definitely be back!

Google
A gem for vegetarian eats in Key West! The kale caesar is next-level—crisp, flavorful, and totally crave-worthy. Their noodle bowls are just beyond, fresh-pressed juices are pure sunshine, and the ordering process is a breeze with quick, seamless pickup. Every visit feels like a little burst of joy—always fresh, always delightful. We live in the middle keys and it's always on the schedule when we are in KW- My son says "the waffles here are better than lego-land"....that's a big deal! Cheers to your 3 fabulous years and lots more to come.

Google
Best find ever!! The vegan variety was just what I was needing. The food was absolutely delicious. The staff was incredibly hospitable. The coconut cake is hands down the best I have ever had. And the watermelon cucumber juice was so refreshing. I only wish they had a location here in Central Oregon!

Google
As a vegetarian, I highly recommend this place. The servers are super super kind and make great recommendations. The food was so good we had two of our meals here. They have such a huge variety and the servers really care for you and share as much detail about the food as they have. Cannot recommend this place enough!!!! Highly recommend- watermelon lime drink, chai latte, Asian salad bowl, dumplings, spring rolls, bok choy, watermelon sangria, chocolate pudding (chefs kiss, so light and fluffy)

Google
This place was a fantastic surprise. Went there as a group. Every single dish was absolutely delicious, fresh and full of flavor. Even the coffee is amazing, haven’t had a good cup of coffee like that in a long time.

Google
We found a table immediately and the ambiance was good. We did find a cockroach that crept on our feet once. We ordered dumplings, vegan meatballs, tofu tacos and key lime cheesecake. The tacos could have more flavor but the cheesecake stole the show!

Yelp
While visiting key west, I was addicted. Dinner two nights in a row! Being one of a few Vegan friendly restaurants, they get very busy. Thankfully, Service is very friendly. In addition, There is plenty of indoor seating. I enjoyed everything we ordered. I personally loved the vegan quesadilla although the extra $3 for vegan cheese, ridiculous. Another favorite was the vegan spinach gyozas. I'd be remissed not to mention their vegan carrot cake & vegan key lime pie. 10/10 must try. Ambience is casual island vibes.

Yelp
So nice, we ate there twice. The good: -Service was very friendly. Our first night there wasn't too busy, but coming back on a Friday this place was pretty packed. -Blackened mahi mahi sandwich was great! -Vegan quesadilla also very delish. -Vegan carrot cake was perhaps one of the best we've had. Super moist cake and pretty realistic "cream cheese frosting". The not so good: -Can't complain nothing to report. Would absolutely come back.

Yelp
Got tired of bar food and found this place based on other reviews. Had the mozzarella sandwich with a side salad with balsamic dressing. Both were excellent! The iced tea was a ginger green tea. It was unexpectedly tasty. Good service. Nice ambiance. Overall the menu leans towards vegan but you can add proteins if you wish. Will definitely add this to our list of favorites.

Yelp
I've been here every year I come to visit Key West so I was excited to come and visit again :-). During this visit, I visited twice and both experiences were the same unfortunately. The place is adorable. The drinks were delicious in the food is quite yummy.. They are understaffed and the service suffers because of that. Won't be back since there are other vegan options now in KW.

Yelp
For a place with such a generic/vague name and a very eclectic menu of mostly American menu but also interestingly a variety of Asian-inspired dishes, I was pleasantly surprised by the food here. I tried the cafe piccata with tofu ($25) and truly loved the piccata flavors which actually went very well with the crispy tofu. The veggies were fresh, and the dish arrived hot after less than 10 minutes. The staff were very friendly toward every customer, and you could tell they are genuinely kind people.

Yelp
Our experience at The Cafe was wonderful! We were looking for a plant based option for breakfast and we were greeted with a wonderful waitress, the atmosphere was colorful and cheerful! She started out offering a variety of fresh juices. My husband had orange and I had the watermelon cucumber lime juice which was very refreshing. We ordered the Panchos Huevos Rancheros but substituted the egg for tofu scramble, yummy! My husband's first time subbing the tofu instead of just egg and he is sold now! The meal was very filling and tasty and they gave salsa and vegan mayo! Large cafe and service was excellent! Loved this place and would recommend to anyone going vegan or not!

Yelp
Plenty of vegan options - yay!! the vacation struggle as a vegan is finding something that isn't a salad to eat. the cafe has plenty of vegan options that aren't just vegetables. we got the very veggie pizza with vegan cheese, hummus and pita, un-wing dings (hot), sweet potato fries, and carrot cake. after i added a little bit of salt, everything was delicious. The un-wing dings were tofu pieces fried and tossed in sauce which I really enjoyed - on vacation i miss tofu the most. the pizza was thin and crispy with lots of veggies and melty vegan mozzarella. the pizza also came with a salad that had a very yummy balsamic type dressing. the pita was soft and the hummus was flavorful. the perfect end to our meal was the vegan carrot cake. I do not typically like carrot cake but decided to try. It was soooo moist and not overly chunky. The frosting could have been just a bit sweeter but overall delicious. the service was great and the food came out quicker than I expected.

Yelp
We were tired of the typical KW places and stumbled upon The Cafe while riding around looking for a place to eat. The waiter gave us perfect suggestions when ordering. My husband got a beet kombucha and I got a 1/2 pitcher of watermelon sangria to start. We loved both. The sangria was light, refreshing and not too sweet. (However, don't get this if you are looking for a heavy dose of alcohol). Next, at the server's suggestion, we had the red Thai curry noodle bowl with soba noodles and mahi. It was a really nice combo of fresh crunchy veggies, a perfectly seasoned fish filet, and soba noodles in a slightly spicy noodle base. The curried butternut squash was my personal favorite - the squash was stuffed with a quinoa and chickpea mixture and served on a bed of garlicky wilted spinach. Yummy! We will definitely be back!

Yelp
Best meal of my vacation! I stopped in for the veggie & tofu scramble with breakfast potatoes & grilled bread. The scramble was wonderfully done, loaded with fresh vegetables and seasoned to perfection. The potatoes were crispy on the outside and tender inside, the bread was a great addition. Cheerful atmosphere with friendly people.

Yelp
Fresh ingredients, delicious dishes. The staff is friendly and attentive. Funky artsy vibe. Highly recommended.

Yelp
Wow breakfast was one of the best ever . Wish they had this in northern Florida where we come from Simple egg omelet with cheese and onions So fluffy and tasty and add on the potatoes and link sausage and a toasted bagel . Tremendous Wife had another kind of egg omelette with pesto Wonderful breakfast on Duvall street Good service too

Yelp
We came here for my sons birthday. The restaurant has mostly vegan and vegetarian offerings with pescatarian as well. The service was top notch and the food was delicious. It is an adorable little place right off Duval Street.

Yelp
OMG- best restaurant in Key West. Tons of vegan, vegetarian options - and fish. We love it! I think I ate there 3 days in a row- breakfast and dinner. Everything was amazing- pizza, breakfast- great avocado toast and noodle bowls. Best mimosa!! You can't go wrong here. So wish they had this place where I live!

Hooria H.

Yelp
Loved the food and staff's friendly service! The guy at the front prepares the watermelon drink a little late so even put it on the house for us. The mahi mahi and salmon burgers were so refreshing and delicious. The chickpea salad on the side was such a nice variation from other restaurants. Highly recommend!!

Yelp
While visiting we use reviews and seek out new places to try and when we came across the reviews for this place, we wondered how we've missed it in our many past trips, because the reviews were very nice! So, we stopped in for lunch on a weekday and they were moderately busy when we got there; by the time we left, they turned all tables twice! So, clearly they're very popular with the locals! Their menu is an interesting mix of Asian, as well as standard American and tropical fare. We started with their spinach gyoza dumplings and they were INCREDIBLE! So much flavor!! Next up was a side salad, as I wanted to try one of their interesting freshly in-house made dressings and I tried their miso-ginger dressing... it was excellent and the salad was loaded with fresh veggies and leafy greens! Their sandwiches are what we opted for as entrées - Excellent choice, as they were fresh and tasty! Very nicely done!! In all, we really enjoyed our lunch, so we came back for drinks later that evening, as they have freshly made juices they use in their sangrias. The sangrias were decent as well. We'll definitely return when we're in town next!

Yelp
Food was super fresh and yummy. I loved the juice. I also tried a limeade and thought that was delightful. My boyfriend loved the soup. I also really enjoyed my sandwich with house made seitan and veggies as well as vegan cheese and three bean salad. The salad was refreshing and filling. We walked here in the rain with our umbrellas and it was a nice walk despite the weather and worth it for the adventure. The inside is nice and our server was attentive.

Yelp
Decided to stop here on a whim. It is a cute, place with friendly staff. They have loads of healthy options to select from their menu. We had lattes, and the breakfast wrap with mushrooms and pico de gallo. It was great. They were out of one or two items, but what they did have was good.

Yelp
I have to show major love to The Cafe! It's probably my favorite place to eat in all of key west. Simply for the food. The dining room is colorful and cute, but the food is by far 5 stars and beyond. I've eaten here so many times, and every time I have the best meals. My absolute favorite is the stir fry. I love the tofu and the peanut sauce. The red Thai curry is also delicious but the Peanut sauce is my faaaave. I always leave with a to-go box when I order the stir fry, it's a lot! The salads are also huge and delicious. I've had the quinoa & avocado, the roasted beet & carrot, and also the curried "chickn" salad. All were amazing and filling. The Brussels sprouts appetizer is soooo good! The cold soba peanut noodles are one of my favorites, and the curry soup (on special sometimes) is insanely delicious. Although I'm not a fan of spring rolls, these are thick like mini burrito size! The spinach dumplings were OK, but the polenta sticks and sweet potato fries are awesome. Oh, and the specials menu has a stuffed avocado appetizer that's soooo delicious!! Love that one! For entrees, the curried butternut squash is so unique and delicious. It's an entire squash, open faced, and stuffed with quinoa, Brussels, chickpeas, and more. Yumm. Theres usually a pasta special, and the creamy lobster ravioli is aaaamazing. The fish tacos are also so good! Seriously I've eaten almost everything here and it's hard to pick a favorite because everything is seriously that good!! I've never ordered the pizzas, but I've seen others order pizza and it looks amazing. Everyone needs to eat here, I want the Cafe to stay in business for a long time!! Even if you're not vegan or vegetarian, they have fish, and the plant-based meats are so damn good you'll hardly tell the difference. Try it!! Thank me later!

Yelp
The food here is good we have eaten here a couple times before. However the service is deplorable. Today, we sat down for lunch (the restaurant was about half empty), was given menus and water, and waited for about 20 minutes and no one took our order. The 2 waitresses working the dining room passed us several times and would not acknowledge us. Finally after one of them started replacing knives and forks at an empty bar seat we walked out. No one tried to stop us or ask what the problem was. It's a shame. Unique offerings for Key West. If you can get someone to serve you.

Yelp
We came upon the cafe while strolling around in Key West on a hot day. It seemed very welcoming and perfect for a delicious healthy lunch. It was!!! I had the curried chicken salad which was plentiful and full of wonderful flavors. My husband also had the curried chicken salad but as a sandwich on ciabatta which came with French fries. All excellent including my verbana green tea iced tea of the day. The menu is mostly vegetarian. Service was super friendly and attentive. If you're looking for a great lunch in Key West. I heartily recommend The Cafe.
google avatar

Yelp
So much vegetarian and vegan choices. I think everything but the fish. Super cute and cozy inside. A couple outside seats. Check out the menu. Lots of options.

Yelp
An oasis of healthy good food in the middle of tourist Mecca.i have been coming here for the last 3 years on annual vacation and it has been consistently GOOD! Pleasant service staff that is knowledgeable about what is being served and can advise for dietary needs, easily accessed just off Duval St, funky/clean/fun atmosphere

Yelp
Cafe style dining with a wide variety of vegetarian options. There are great fish options and some chicken as well for meat lovers. We were seated right away around 7pm on a Saturday. Our food was made fast and fresh. The taste was good but over-sauced. I would definitely come back but plan to request that half the sauce be used compared to normal as the stir fry was just too salty to eat. The vegetables were fresh and I did pick those along with the delicious shrimp out but, sadly, had to leave the rice that was drowning in sauce. Our server was splitting time between his tables and the to go orders so we sat for a little while at the end waiting for our check. Overall I would give this place another chance, the menu options all look amazing and I would like to try more!

Sayre A.

Yelp
Brendan was our sever. Everything was delightful, fresh squeezed fruit juices to start, and she recommended the Maui mahi, tacos Everything wonderful

Yelp
Deliciousness in vegetarian/ vegan options. Excellent salads, roasted Brussels sprouts to die for, great sandwiches. Love their daily iced tea!! Delicious lattes and sangrias. This place is my little oasis in KW with a low key vibe and friendly staff.

Yelp
Loved this place. Service was great. It wasn't very busy when we went (dinner time on a Wednesday). The food was delicious, worth every penny of the $23. I usually don't like to spend much on my food, but it was worth it. Great options for those who don't eat meat.

Carl V.

Yelp
Great for brunch and dinner. We loved the food and the service. And as advertised worked well for the vegan and GF family members. And I loved the mussels! The huevos rancheros were great ( org regular and vegan) , their Chai is excellent though a bit sweet. Tofu wings were very good. And small cafe ambience was comfy.
google avatar

Karolina K.

Yelp
Great place of you want healthier food with plenty of vegan options. Located near Duval Street but without all that noise and crowds. They have few tables outside and pretty large space inside. My husband wasn't that hungry so he got their mussels appetizer which was still huge. Definetly for more than one person. It was served with delicious spicy broth and side of ciabatta bread. With so many vegan options I had a hard time choosing, but went with the Pepper 'steak' and Swiss sandwich made vegan with sweet potato fries. The portion was huge and I was able to eat only half of the sandwich. Fries were fresh but didn't have any salt. I didn't like the sauce that came with fries, too much celery. I wasn't sure if it was vegan so I left out anyway. They carry quite a lot of vegan desserts, so I got their key lime pie and cocunt cake to go. Both were very good, the key lime pie tasted like vegan cheesecake but more tangy, the cocunt cake was dense and coconuty and delicious. One of the best vegan cakes I had. Highly recommend trying this place.

Yelp
I just left this establishment in which I found a roach on the wall next to me ( the one in the picture ) Another crawled on my leg, and another was on OUR table in between me and my cousin. This has nothing to do with their food but the higiene of the establishment. Worst part is server said oh that's weird I'm sorry, and walked back into the kitchen. I didn't even make a big deal with the first one but when I got two more in a matter of 4 mins come on. The reason I picked up the napkin and put it next to the bill so she saw I wasn't lying because she sure acted as if she didn't care. Manager was called and never answered.
google avatar

Jo H.

Yelp
Consistently excellent! Alicia has to be one of the most cheerful and delightful server/bartenders I have met. She is attentive, conversational and took great care of us during our lunch visit. The curried chicken salad sandwich is excellent. The curry and coconut flavor is so yummy in this sandwich. The ciabatta bread was fresh and the side of beans were outstanding. The side salad is a generous portion loaded with different salad ingredients. In addition to lettuce, there was zucchini, broccoli, carrots, bean sprouts and many others. There are tons of vegan options, fresh, creative juices and a bar. Inside is inviting, colorful and clean. Wonderful experience!
google avatar

Coral M.

Yelp
This food was out of this world unbelievable!! Perfect vegan options and great service, food took a little while to come out, but was so worth it. best biscuits and gravy i've ever had. 10000% would recommend this place to everyone.
google avatar

Tricia G.

Yelp
Nice break from the heat with an island vibe. Many vegan options, although we were very disappointed they were out of their widely touted vegan key lime pie. The vegetable rolls were good. Not a lot of beer options. Service was fast, tho not overly friendly. Would give it another try and get there earlier for pie.

K P.

Yelp
Good vegan and veg selection. Asian dishes were not authentic. Service was bad. One person serving all ~10 tables/customers. Ordered beer, never got it. The worst part she added 20% forced gratuity.

Sun W.

Yelp
Grateful for this place! Great clean food and oh the vegan desserts. The juice drinks also awesome
google avatar

Victor L.

Yelp
The food was great but the female server was very rude. It was our first time visiting. When we were ordering, we asked common questions and she responded with attitude as if we knew the answers. We told her we've had one particular alcoholic drink without alcohol before, and she said that was "not normal." She ran out and screamed that the tip was not included when we did not feel she deserved the tip. We told her she was being rude to us and she had a shocked face. We are never going back here again. This experience has left us very disappointed.
google avatar

Yelp
Amazing food!! Vegan and Vegetarian dream come true!!! Want some fish, they have that too. Wishing we had a spot like this closer to home. Stir Fry and Tacos were amazing. So many vegetables. Staff was helpful and super sweet.
google avatar

Roger L.

Yelp
The best vegetarian restaurant in Key West. The service was impeccable, the young lady was working the entire front of the house and was doing a fantastic job of keeping everything flowing, and moving properly, couldn't have been better. As far as the food, it was made with quality ingredients and well prepared with the creativity in mind. The prices were a little bit inflated and I would have preferred to pay a little bit less, but I guess that's what you expect in Key West.
google avatar

William S.

Yelp
Great little place! Probably the best sangria we've ever had. I had the Penne with Vegan meatballs and marinara, I reached the bottom of my dish and still wanted more, so good! We've been back in SC for a week and I'm still craving the food and drink!
google avatar

Ashley B.

Yelp
Got take out and the people working the register were so rude and even though I was told my order was going to be done at 7:18 pm and it took 20 minutes after I arrived to have my order ready and the girl working just told me "the stir fry takes long" with no apologies about the wait. For a dinner that took over an hour to make it wasn't worth it. The stir fry was delicious but not sure why it took an hour to make. Shrimp portion added to my stir fry was skimpy, 4 pieces for 8 dollars which is incredibly overpriced. Will not be back.
google avatar

Gene M.

Yelp
We thoroughly enjoyed our experience dining here during our visit to Key West. The Kung Pao Tofu was delicious, as was the vegan key lime cheesecake. The blackened tofu tacos and shrimp stir fry was excellent. The service was friendly and courteous. We loved the local art work on the walls and the various vegan, vegetarian and pescatarian menu options. Conveniently located in the old town near Duval Street.

Catherine P.

Yelp
Lots of delicious vegetarian options. I had stuffed curried butternut squash. It was delicious! My husband had a salmon sandwich with pesto. He enjoyed it. Service was wonderful! Lots of different options on the menu and for beverages. We were walking by and it looked interesting, I am glad we found it.

Dakota E.

Yelp
Some of the best food we've ever had - vegan or not! We had the special veggie burger which had pineapple on it, we also had the AMAZING vegetable gyoza, which we will never forget, and we had the mahi tacos. Genuinely some of the best tacos my husband has ever had. The flavor profile achieved in every single dish, sauce, and side was impeccable. Genuinely nice people, good atmosphere, healthy options and dietary restriction friendly! They had an array of assorted fresh squeezed juices, gluten free / vegan / vegetarian options, organic kombucha, and beer! Would be a fun place to come work at. 10/10 for everything! Brandon (I think was her name) was awesome!
google avatar

J F.

Yelp
Plentiful vegan options! So great that our family ate here for both lunch and dinner. Staff is very friendly and it's a cute, cozy setting too. Highly recommended if you're looking for a break from the standard, unhealthy, restaurant fare. Also, our daughter was celebrating her 18th birthday and they even had a candle on the vegan pudding desert!

Lucy W.

Yelp
Food is amazing, service is wonderful. Back in KW after some time away and this was my favorite for the week. Blackened mahi was superb, but the Szechuan stir fry with salmon was out of this world. I could eat it every night! Thanks for the recommendation, Amanda, who was a delight by the way!
google avatar

Sumanyu M.

Yelp
We came here because their menu looked super interesting (I mean how often have you heard of a Brussel sprouts pizza!). And it tasted just as great as it looked. The ambiance is great, with light music and friendly servers. We tried their Mini burger bites, Spinach and Gyoza dumplings and the Brussel Sprouts white pizza. The food was pretty flavorful! Definitely recommend this place, especially if you're a vegetarian/vegan. So many options to try from!

Yelp
This is funny to share... I'm writing this review while eating at this restaurant. I will need to make new words in English to really explain how ridiculously delicious their food is. Super fresh veggies, freshly cooked with some special spice blend with tofu. Muaaaaaaaaah Take all of my money because all I care about it best food experience. The people who work at this restaurant are very nice, humble and sweet. I am enjoying the cozy ambience and nice people around. Oh, the freshly squeezed juice is actually super fresh. a must try. I enjoyed my juice and I bet everyone who loves fresh juice will give five stars too. Locally owned business, so definitely visit. I only write on Yelp when I really want to share my point of you. I hope you are going to enjoy this place.

Chris M.

Yelp
Wow! What a place! Great food, great service and the freshest food in all of Key West. Branden was the best. Thank you so much!

Yelp
Incredible staff and delicious food. They were gracious and kind when we showed up with 4 cranky kids. We liked it so much came back next day!

Yelp
Enjoy lunch at The Cafe. The place is what I'd have to call pescatarian that will absolutely accommodate vegan eating. We did an informal food tasting of kung pao tofu, butternut squash curry and the cheese steak. The tofu and squash tasting good, I was kinda stuck wanting a little more sauciness but also appreciating the healthiness of the prep. I secretly used some the lime curry sauce from the sweet potato fries on the squash and YEP. The vegan steak and cheese stole the show for me. Really good. No doubt, the best vegan S&C I've ever had. Our waiter was perfect. It's a smallish place right off Duval with comfy enough seating and appropriate prices. It's a great place to visit for the pescatarian-vegetarian-vegan person looking for lunch.
