The Cally

My Husband took me here for my birthday, the hotel is beautiful with loads of old school character about it and the food was on point. The service was good and very friendly as always, this was my 4th time here. We bought mum out here for lunch last time it is a lovely environment and not to loud as you can hold a conversation and hear each other. Will be back again for sure.

Stayed at a very good and affordable hotel in Warrnambool with welcoming staff and a fantastic location. The meals and drinks were absolutely delicious! Initially planned to stay for 2 nights but enjoyed it so much that I extended my stay for two more nights.

We had just finished our long drive to Warnambool and we were after a nice dinner, so we stopped at the Cally Hotel. |Our first impressions were hopeful as the menu was wide and the atmosphere was brilliant. Then we went to order and were told that “we hadn’t ordered enough for six people”. |We then thought that the portions were small, so we ordered some more, it came out at $55 each (including alcohol). Then the food came out and we got huge portions, then we realised it wad quantity over quality. The pork ribs were burned on the outside and very fatty in the middle. The taste plate encountered varying degrees of success. The fish and seafood was not very good and quite undercooked. The chicken and lettuce was wonderful with a great sauce, the burger was very plain and didn’t have much flavour and overall it was quite average.

Turned up late last night looking for a room and a feed, was warmly welcome d by Lucas and his staff, food was top notch, Mixed grill, for me. My wife had Chicken Kiev, fantastic service. Will be back.

The Cally has a good atmosphere and great food the only critique I have is that the fries that came with my Parma were Luke warm other than that the Parma was amazing and I would recommend eating here.

Had a fantastic night at The Cally Hotel with a large group of friends; the service, atmosphere and food were all devine ! We all very much enjoyed our meals which were absolutely delicious ! 🫶 Thankyou to the chef and the staff for a wonderful evening.

Staff were brilliant and had no qualms about putting the rugby on the TV when we asked. Good selection of drinks. The food was very tasty too- nice selection of pub food classics. We both had they parmy but the pizzas looked good too!!

Very nice food. Great service and friendly staff. Superbowl day was enjoyable. Thank you for a good day.

I'm not really sure if this pub actually knows what it is supposed to be. On one side there is this facy pants restaurant, however you go over to the other side it is sort of an old man pub, but it has a menu offering food at fancy pants prices and having craft beer on tap. It is of - no actually it really baffled me - what's going on here. Mind you, it is probably in a bit of a transition, but it still seems to be one of those pubs that the locals regularly flock too, no matter what transformation it is undergoing. However, the front bar is still pretty tacky, though I suspect that that is not going to last too long.

This place is full of things to do with the kids! Such as pool and arcade games. They had a diverse menu with something for everyone. I ordered a garlic pizza, one of the best pizzas I ever had. It was a bit small though, I also ordered the calamari bit bland but the huge drinks made up for it.
