We stayed at The Calm Tree Bungalows for 2 nights as a family of four (2 adults and 2 kids) in Family bungalow.
The location is great — very close to shops and restaurants, so it’s convenient for exploring the area. The pool was lovely with warm water, which we all enjoyed.
Breakfast was just okay — nothing special but fine for a short stay. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful, and the cleaning service was decent as well.
However, the interior of the bungalow was quite dark. There are no real windows, just shutters, so you have to choose between keeping them open (and letting mosquitoes in) or closing them and having very little light. For a couple of nights it was manageable, but for a longer stay it would feel too gloomy.
Upstairs had two single beds for the kids, but our girls didn’t feel comfortable sleeping up there because it was so dark, so we all ended up sleeping downstairs. The toilet was okay — nothing to complain about.
Overall, it’s a good place for a short stay if you value location and friendly service, but I wouldn’t choose it for a longer holiday due to the dark interior and limited natural light.
