Was only there overnight but enjoyed my stay, none the less. The shared bathroom was fine, only issue I had was the distance from the room, however, I survived. The shower was great, good water pressure, only problem was the small space & the seals around the bottom of the shower door could be replaced to prevent the leakage onto the floor. Parking my car was a wee bit of an issue, but managed all the same. Thanks heaps. Would definitely consider coming back in the future.

I was very impressed with this hotel. It’s very reasonably priced. It’s well positioned for the centre of the city, buses, the beach and a supermarket. There is a cinema nearby and plenty of places to eat and drink. I asked for a quiet room when I booked and was given a single room on floor 2 which was perfect to recover from jet lag. It’s spotlessly clean. The shared bathroom was also very clean. The showers could do with upgrading but they were ok. The bed was really comfortable. I stayed for 6 nights and was really pleased that there was a good sized fridge in the room. The staff were friendly, helpful and available when needed. There was a 10% discount on food and drink in the bar. I ate there one night. The food was reasonably priced and I enjoyed it. I’ll stay again on my way back through Wellington at the end of my trip. Well done.

Relatively cheap hotel in good location. Lots of eating options just around the corner. I had single room with shared bathroom facilities. Room had TV, kettle (w tea and coffee) and a fridge. Access to dorm kitchen and laundry. Good value for TA hikers in Wellington

Great one night stay on our way to the South Island. Clean comfortable rooms. Yesteryear feel to the whole place. Very helpful staff who helped us move rooms when the television wasn’t working . Would stay again.

It was my first visit to wellington & staying here. Great experience. Eventho it's an aged building but it's so clean! Great location! 👍 Will definitely come back again!

I stay here frequently…. So why? The single room is perfect… a classic, traditional pub hotel room. No pretending, spotlessly clean, well appointed will all the quintessentials. This property represents absolute excellent value. Furthermore, these marvellous old pubs are a what cities were once about. The bar and food is excellent too… I received a 10% discount chit that was an added bonus for my stay on all food and beverage. Thank you…. XX

Kia Ora, Apart from entering my Debit Card details without informing me, in the reception into their computer. I have no idea why they do this and why. Even for any justification, it is completely inappropriate and looks Other than that, I came from Auckland and just arrived. I am very happy with the hotel price and cleanness.

I don't like to give a bad note but the room was small ; the kitchen and lounge are together and it is noisy at the time of the meals. There is no chanel of movies at the tv. The good points are that the Backpackers is near a New World and is near the Courtenay Place where the bus 20 arrives from the bus terminal/ train station.

Yelp
My first time to Wellington, we spend a few days here. It is a lovely hotel. Rooms are clean and tidy . You do however have a shared bathroom. This hotel caters for backpackers too. There is a shared kitchen you can use as well as a washing machine and dryer. Down stairs is a bar and restaurant that serves delicious meals.

Yelp
Right on the river front and part of a wonderful hotel, this hostel is unique in my experience. Essentially, the owners have provided posh hotel rooms, and equally nice but non-suite hostel rooms. They even have teasmaids and TVs! If I had one quibble it's that the lights in the bathroom are on a timer and go out after a few minutes - usually just as you're trying to get the soap out of your eyes. The bar on the ground floor is great and they do backpacker specials like a BBQ once a week which are great value. Failing that, there's a cracking Chinese a few doors up ;)
