Wow!!!! YOU MUST COME TO THIS PLACE!!! For the Fourth of July, my bf and I came to this restaurant around 7:50 P.M., and there was not a long wait at all, especially during festive circumstances like the Fourth of July. Our waiter Brice was the BEST, EVER, and he was so attentive to ALL of HIS customers. We both ordered the Island Chicken Tacos: 100/100!!!! Of the charts!!! Hands-down, the best tasting chicken tacos that I have ever enjoyed. For dessert, the BREAD PUDDING AND SEASONAL CHERRY PUDDING WAS SOOOO DELICIOUS!!!!

I Really enjoyed the steak tacos. My children liked the catfish. My wife got a burger which was good. The whole family enjoyed the totchos. The restaurant has rustic/classic kinda atmosphere with a view of the Mississippi River. We will be back

Google
Everything was delicious! We started off with the Philly Cheese Totchos. They tasted great and would have been a meal in itself. I got the 8 oz. Slow Burn - medium rare. The burger was a Perfect medium rare and hit all the right taste notes. My wife loved her Turkey Ranch Melt. If I lived in the area this would become a regular stop. The service was also fantastic.

We are following the"Great River Road" and after a great travel day, we decided to stop at The Camp Restaraunt. We are driving a class B motorhome (21') and has no trouble finding parking. We went to the bar section of the restaurant and enjoyed a from from the bar menu. It was a busy night, but we were seated within 10 minutes. The staff is awesome & the food delicious!! This restaraunt should not be missed! Enjoyed every bite!!

Came for the famous burgers but gotta tell you about the drink special of the night: A Watermelon Gin Fizz I rarely like cocktails but the hunky hubby ordered this baby and let me tell you, when he shared it with me he made my heart smile! Bristow Gin, watermelon syrup, lime juice, simple syrup, and Sprite got together and welcomed us to The Camp with open arms! Btw, Brice our waiter is very welcoming as well. A good server is the perfect chaser for a great evening out.

The restaurant was quite busy when we got there on a Monday night in September - but we got seats outside overlooking the Mississippi right way. Our bartender/waitress was excellent! Make a reservation if you want to eat inside. We were VERY happy outside at the railing. Big menu - lots of choice - many of them looked delicious.

Gravy fries , fries and slaw were just ok. My husband and I both had burgers and they were delicious. Burgers 5/5. Service was great . We would come back

Google
Well to be honest there was a lot of great potential, just could have been executed better, I had the pork belly tacos, the pork belly was underwhelming and not very tender little to no seasoning, it was drenched in the sauce which was good but a bit more slaw and maybe a single piece of pineapple in the pineapple salsa would have been a nice touch, chips were bland with no salt at all as was the salsa... Great concept just missed the mark, I also had the bread pudding that whole presentation was great was a bit dry and lacking flavor, I'd definitely had better at a famous Dave's in Montana, my husband had the brisket sandwich and a salad and the brisket was super thin sliced and dry more like jerky, the appearance was great but flavors could have been better for sure. Overall it gave mom and pops owned Applebee's vibes. I think the 30 plus minute wait was over excessive considering the host also skipped over us and went to the folks behind us to seat them with the same size party of two and to walk in with over half the tables empty... Just a little bit of a disappointment but with tweaks could be much better.

Yelp
We had a wonderful lunch experience at The Camp. It's located in the under the hill area and boasts views of the Mississippi River. Some outdoor spaces are available for seating but it was chilly so we ate inside. Service was excellent. From the host to our waitress, everyone welcomed us and made us feel at home. The space is large but somewhat crowded. I am sure they stay busy because of the nearby cruise ship docking. We were very lucky to get a table after only a short wait. I went with the steak salad. It was just okay. The steak was a little overcooked but the veggies were fresh and I loved the sliced beets. I tried one of the cocktails and it was refreshing. I can't remember what it was called but it had gin and was tasty. Overall, a great dining experience. I would definitely come back but would order something other than the steak. 4.5/5 stars

Yelp
A friend recommended The Camp for sunset views during dinner and she was dead on. We got a table by the windows and enjoyed watching a gorgeous sunset over the Mississippi River. The food is elevated bar fare done well, and the drinks were perfectly cold on a hot day. The service was friendly and attentive. But the view is what makes the place.

Yelp
This was our last meal of the trip. So far, we had not been impressed with the food in Natchez. Just being honest here. (Visit Butter Cakery, it's soooo good!) We sadly missed pizza at the Natchez Brewery. We are confident it would have been great and will make it a point to go next time. We started with the pulled pork nachos. They are the perfect size for four people to wet your appetite for a good meal and are delicious! I had the shrimp platter. I normally prefer a flour batter, but the cornmeal batter was really good. I do wish the shrimp were deveined but you can't have it all. We were all impressed with the size of the dish. Plenty of shrimp, fresh hot fries and I subbed tartar sauce for the remoulade. I love their tartar!! Mike had the smoked fried wings in hot Asian sauce. He said they were good. We added a side of Mac and cheese because, well, it's Mac and cheese! Pasta was cooked perfectly. Nice sauce. Recommend the Mac and cheese as a side. The slaw on my platter was good. Not as sweet as I prefer, but a nice creamy slaw. Our aunt and uncle ate light. They each got a slider and fries. Both said they enjoyed them. Dessert: according to our server, about once a year, the bread pudding of the day is the apple pie bread pudding. I'm sad to tell you that if you miss this bread, pudding, you missed out. It is the perfect temperature served with the scoop of vanilla ice cream and drizzled with caramel. I know, apple pie bread pudding sounds odd, but let me tell you it is spectacular. Whoever is making the bread pudding knows how to make bread pudding. Not heavy or stodgy, not too custardy (my word). It is so light and delicious. The restaurant wasn't too noisy, it has a casual but not too casual feel. We will come back when we visit again!

Yelp
I really love this spot in downtown Natchez!!! I came here with a couple of friends and this place was popping. We had to wait 10 minutes when we came at 6:30pm but it was worth the wait. I got the Buddha belly sandwich and the pork belly was full of flavor and the fried onions were so good and complemented the pork belly. We ordered the fried pickles for appetizers and it was also very good and worth the price! Recommend this place when you visit Natchez or a local!

Jordan M.

Yelp
Great prices and great place for a family dinner. Casual, good beer list, pretty good service. Management could be a little tighter--understaffed on the floor at least initially. Friendly folks totally made up for it.

Karen G.

Yelp
Long wait, cold food, wrong order, greasy and grisly meat... and no one made it right. Such a disappointing meal, especially after reading previous reviews on this sight. At least adjust the check - especially when it was obvious that the plate was barely touched?? Nothing. I love recommending good restaurants along with the service but absolutely not this place.

Walt N.

Yelp
Great restaurant with a quaint atmosphere. Located right on the banks of the Mississippi. Food was good, craft beer selection was OK. Our server was efficient and friendly.

Nicholas L.

Yelp
Always worth the drive when I'm even 30+ minutes away. Everything I have ever got was tasty. You got to got the fried pickles. Great service. Great views of the water.

Brandi B.

Yelp
I highly recommend this place for lunch! We had the Cajun Haystack and the chips & salsa (add a side of guac) for appetizers, and then thoroughly enjoyed the Southern Style Fish Tacos (my friend got the grilled and I got the fried). They were very fresh and delicious, with a little kick from the Camp Sauce. There was a short wait for a table, so we grabbed a drink at the bar while we waited. They have a great seasonal selection of craft beer and summer-y cocktails. 5 stars!!

Andi F.

Yelp
I was in the area and getting a bit too much on the hangry side. I got the steak quesadilla and it hit all of the right spots. Parking was easy to find. Pricing was reasonable. Service was good. I would recommend to anyone in the area.

Jon A.

Yelp
We were looking around for a place to eat on a Sunday evening, and that appears to be a tough thing to do in Natchez if you are looking for something that isn't fast food. Fortunately, we found our way down to the waterfront below Fort Rosalie, and there we found The Camp, an establishment that offers a nice drink by the river along with some food. The view from this place, as long as you sit on the porch and not inside, is spectacular. Why anyone would want to sit inside where it is kind of dark is beyond me. We ordered our food, I got a burger along with a sour beer, and enjoyed our time watching various barges go by on the river. The burger was good, the sour beer was a nice experience, and it was just a good time all around. We headed back up to our hotel that evening quite happy. Definitely worth the time to get down there and have a nice bite to eat.

Randy G.

Yelp
Chicken wings were very tasty, but small. Quesadilla's were cold and missing ingredient specifically requested. Server offered replacement and charged us for it. Steak tacos also cold. Excuse for long delay for seating was an all day computer glitch, but that was no reason to keep a 30 minute wait when there were 4 to 10 open tables.

Stephen R.

Yelp
Exceptional service and great food! I did an online order for a client lunch and went in to pick it up, but apparently my order didn't go through. It was something related to my credit card and not the restaurants fault. Victoria in the bar area handles the online orders and she came to my rescue. She didn't make it my fault or make me feel bad, but she wanted to help me get my order placed ASAP since it was 12 PM. She confirmed my order was in the system and made sure the kitchen had it done quickly. The food was excellent and the service was even better! I had the slow burn burger with a side salad. It was tasty and the sauces and salad dressing were house made! My clients had burgers, quesadillas, and the Cobb salad and everyone enjoyed their meal! Thank you again Victoria with helping me get the client lunch taken care of so quickly... you're AWESOME!!!

Jasmin A.

Yelp
Service was good Food was good Waited about 15 min on a Friday at 12:00 so that's not bad at all ! Prices are amazing !!! A family of 4 can eat for under $45 !!!! Highly recommend this place !

Rebecca C.

Yelp
Excellent fish tacos. Service was great. Highly recommend. Great location to watch sun set.

Adam M.

Yelp
Great place down on the water in Natchez. The views of the bridge and the water are awesome. Inside, it's a cool little American pub. I had the breakfast burger. It had bacon, cheese, and an egg cooked into the top bun. It was really tasty. Our service was good, no issues at all. We did have to wait 30 minutes on a Monday night so I can only imagine how busy this place is on the weekends.

Keri F.

Yelp
Great food, great service, great atmosphere. A must while in Natchez. Be sure to try the wings.

M J.

Yelp
Ate there for a late lunch today. The camp nachos were good but the other food was mediocre at best. I got the island chicken tacos & there was barely any chicken which was disappointing. One & done eating there. Loved the view though and our server Ally was helpful.

Nicole T.

Yelp
The cocktails are good. We got nachos, onion rings, and burgers. The onion rings were slightly oily. The nachos were heaped with toppings. The Mac n cheese is really good, not boxed crap.

Richard B.

Yelp
Food and as good. The service was horrible. Asked multiple times for sauces that we never received, never received extra lemons that we asked for. I ordered a cocktail that never came. Will not be coming back. Horrible, horrible, horrible service UPDATE: Spoke with a manager, who was very nice BUT I still did not get the sauces I was charged for, I did not get the cocktail I ordered, never got my extra lemons and I had to get up and get my own silverware and napkins. Such a shame because the food was pretty good.

David A.

Yelp
Highly recommend the Camp!! The service, food, and ambiance are amazing. You have a wonderful view of the Mississippi River and the decor takes you back to the days of old. The staff was very friendly and the food was amazing!!! If you are in Natchez stop in and have a great time

Zadie G.

Yelp
Good service nice on the water I didn't really notice anything bad about the food would def come back

Mike P.

Yelp
Great Place! Good Food and Service! Ate here last week, and it was a good experience. Give them a try!

Shanigirlpainter C.

Yelp
We ordered Mexican food basics: tacos, nachos, quesadillas, and margaritas. I do not recommend. The food was NOT good. most of it was bland and passable but nothing better than a microwave meal. my friends had salsa and all three reported the taste of the salsa was "nasty" and "disgusting". Our drinks were made poorly. we did not finish after a few sips. our server was sweet but very young. she had no knowledge of the drinks to recommend and did not know which foods were the favored choices from the menu. The building was in a great location and was interesting.

Chia B.

Yelp
The Camp accommodated my group last minute an hour before closing. The service was great and everyone's order was accurate. My group liked the bread pud'n most of all! The top favorited dishes in my group (aside from the bread pud'n) were the fried wings and burgers. I'd skip the Fried Chicken Salad because it's large and not as exciting as the other dishes. Next time I'm there I'd like to try that brownie sundae and something from the sandwiches list. Overall, it's a good spot for anyone with an appetite for bar food.

Paul B.

Yelp
Fun, busy environment. Nice view of the Mississippi River from our table. Delicious fried catfish tacos. Marvelous salad.

Hannah J.

Yelp
Fun, homey atmosphere with great variety on both the food and drinks menus - they even have some unique creative cocktails on tap with the draft beers! The bar area felt like a little hideaway, and the outdoor seating on the porch offers an incredible view of the Mississippi River. Everything was delicious, as well as presented attractively. We all had a good time.

Jennette R.

Yelp
After researching online, I was excited to try The Camp. Super disappointed. I need to use the restroom and to be nice, we ordered something to be fair. A frozen vodka drink, fried pickles and the soup. Well after 15 minutes of not being acknowledged, We ordered, the pickles came about 20 minutes laters, followed by the SOUP, the SOUP 20 minutes later (do they make the cups on an individual basis or something!) and then when the waitress asked if we wanted dessert, I said no but I would like my drink. I had her put it in a to-go cup.

Danny P.

Yelp
I knew driving down the street that I had picked the right place. The views just amazing. Nice place with great character and ambience. The onion rings (I believe they call them "Cajun haystacks") are amazing! I enjoyed everything!

Teresa M.

Yelp
So we went to The Camp months ago when we were in the area to shop for a truck. We had never been there. They were busy that day but the service was good and I ordered the Buddha Belly. It was honestly my first taste of pork belly and I'm here to tell ya, it's da bomb!! On our most recent trip to Natchez we were on a mission to go back and get the same sandwich. The place was crowded of course, and we waited about 30 minutes for a table but it was well worth the wait. There were numerous empty tables inside so I'm guessing they are having trouble staffing the place like so many since Covid. Regardless, our service was good and our sandwiches were just as good as I remembered. I'm not a beer drinker but I decided to try the Pinot Noir draft and I was pleasantly surprised. Everyone was friendly and we plan to keep this one on our GoTo list.

Brandon H.

Yelp
Very laid back place with a nice view of the MS River. They have a variety of food that has not been a disappointment. My go to is the Shrimp taco, catfish taco, pork belly taco, and slow burn burger. Also their loaded nachos are incredible. I was here for two weeks and ate here more than most places. The staff is very friendly as well.

Gulbun Q.

Yelp
We tried to have lunch there today . We waited for 20 minutes. There were people in front of us who had been waiting longer than us. Nobody paid any attention. So we left!!! Talk about Southern hospitality failing miserably....

Debbie M.

Yelp
Loved the historic setting down by the river. Interesting bar menu. And the food was amazing. The three of us each got a different meal and each one was exceptional. And for desert we had A&W Root Beer floats! Will definitely visit here again!

David H.

Yelp
This place is perfect to unwind with a craft ale and gourmet burger. They also have several other menu items that I love such as the Gravy Fries, Philly Cheese Tot-Chos, and Smoked Wings! Although parking can be tricky when they're busy, I have always found a spot. Plus I like the fact that it is riverside--kinda has a Boston vibe. The last time I went service was a bit slow as they were understaffed that day (according to the manager), but everyone was very friendly and accommodating.

James S.

Yelp
Outstanding!! That is what you will be doing, is standing outside waiting for a table to become available if they are busy because this place is well worth the wait. Great service and food. My wife and I just wanted a quick bite for lunch so we decided to share the patty melt and fries. (the mac-n-cheese was all mine though, lol...) Again, outstanding was the food. Great flavor. And of course we had to have the brownie sundae to top it all off. If you are ever in Natchez, Mississippi. This is the place to stop and eat lunch.

Shonna T.

Yelp
Great atmosphere, view of the Mississippi, yummy drinks, incredible pork belly options. Will def be back.

Amanda M.

Yelp
Atmosphere is great, food is great, good service too. Good view outside of the river.

Jennifer R.

Yelp
This was such a fun, unexpected grab a drink and app spot while visiting Natchez. Service was really good, and one of the best cheese burgers to ever touch my lips. I'm glad we skipped the apps, the burger hit the spot.

Andy M.

Yelp
Lunch was great, couldn't decide what to get, everything on the menu looked extremely appealing. Went with the breakfast burger, my go to if on any menu. Carnitas fries were a hit at our table as well. My new spot when traveling in Natchez for work

Julie L R.

Yelp
Food was fresh and delicious. Service was good, too. I had The Camp salad and Pigs in a Poncho. The restaurant is located on the River. They have a small parking area, but there is additional parking along the street to park vehicles with small travel trailers. Great view of the Mississippi River and bridge.

K S.

Yelp
Food was good. Overall service was fine. I just took too long to get our orders. Then they brought out some while others in the group had to wait.

Isabel D.

Yelp
I stopped for a bite to eat at The Camp while passing through Natchez. The restaurant provided not only a good meal but also a nice view of the Mississippi River. I had a chance to try the Southern Melt which was hot, tasty, and buttery. The fries were really good and the ketchup had a nice little spicy kick to it. The winner of my experience here though was definitely the Catfish Plate. The fried filets were crispy and the fish was flaky and beautifully cooked. Would definitely recommend it!!

Lisa P.

Yelp
The service was awesome and I love the authentic atmosphere! The building is about 180 years old and is wonderful!! Our food was delicious!! We will definitely go back when we visit Natchez!!

Kelleigh S.

Yelp
Catfish was great, the bartender, Dakota was so nice and made us great drinks, and we loved the atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Angela W.

Yelp
Y'all...this place is fabulous! First of all, the location is beautiful, and has great personality. The service was excellent. We were seated promptly and our servers(they were training) were quick to greet us. We started with fried pickles. These were so good! There are slices of fried jalapeños in amongst them! Soooo good!! Definitely try this one!

John F.

Yelp
Wandered in for a cocktail, stayed for the smoked fried Asian wings, they were amazing! A little light on the celery. Great location, plenty of parking and very friendly staff. Cocktails to go were a plus and we ordered more wings for hotel dinner. We will be back

Jane G.

Yelp
The food is consistently good. Great bar food & varied menu. It's right by the river so a wonderful atmosphere. Service is excellent.

Harper R.

Yelp
So delicious and the bartender was awesome. Our dogs enjoyed the porch quite a lot, and we enjoyed the gravy fries and the awesome views!

Brian O.

Yelp
Visiting and found this place on yelp. Everything was amazing. Would get what we had again. Hoping to get back a 2nd time before we leave!
