The campground is a lovely spot surrounded by plenty of greenery. It’s well-maintained, making it a great place for tents. The serene environment and natural beauty provide a perfect setting for a relaxing getaway. If you’re looking for a peaceful camping experience, this place is definitely worth considering!

We booked this camping because it intimate, wooded, by the river and in a natural surrounding. It did not disappoint. When we arrived, every thing was ready for us by the staff. It was very efficient. The bathroom and showers are super clean. The only thing that was negative and has nothing to do with the campground was our neighbor. She decided to keep their RV lights on all night. Stargazing was not part of our stay. The next day, I asked her extremely politely if she forgot to shut down the lights the night before. She was very defensive and thought my request was unreasonable. Finally she said that she will turn them off the next night. Later on the day she tells me that her husband told her that the lights cannot be turned off. In other words they didn’t want to do it. The next night, obviously the lights were still on. Out of spite they added more lights. This is a municipal campground and the most interesting thing is and the lady in question that occupies that seasonal lot is head administrator at the town hall. She is not aware of camping etiquette and the negative effects of light pollution for the surrounding nature. She told me that these guidelines are not applicable in Matane. Very unpleasant lady that hopefully it doesn’t represent it’s citizens.

Only 30 mins away from the hiking trails at Gaspé , which was super convenient. Very clean, bathroom well maintained, had an incredible view ! Make sure to bring some 25cents for the shower tho (they have change at the reception) 👍🏾 Always ask for the best view when reserving and thank me later

I loved this campsite :) We were in the no-service tent section (#94) and we were right behind the bathrooms which were clean and well stocked. Each campsite is made private by an enclosing of bushes and trees. I loved the fire pit - it had a grill you could move off and on the fire by way of a post. It's directly off the Ferry and a 5 minute drive to downtown. The camp grounds are really nice with a little marsh walk, laundry, a remarkably well stocked dépanneur. Super reasonably priced, also!

Compared with many campgrounds in Gaspe, this is wooded with excellent privacy. We were bikepacking and it was a delight to camp there. The secret on bikes is to follow the path along the river rather than climbing the steep hill along the road! It was our nicest camping spot during our 3 week trip and Matane has a nice brewery within easy riding distance. Staff were also pleasant. Will come back and stay a little longer in future.

Great camp spot for tents. Sites spaced out with plenty of trees between them. Reception was friendly and bilingual. WiFi available throughout the campground

Stayed a few nights on our visit through the Gaspesie, they are located in a quiet area and offer nice wooded camp sites.||Our sites all had fire pits and there were washrooms with showers. ||Although it seems to be an older campground, it is well maintained.

We had not planned to stop here but we were lucky to find this place. The facilities were very clean. The location does have some downsides depending on which end of the campground you happen to be (highway noise) and semi-shared sites. Still a good value overall.
