The Capital Empire Sandton

We have had an incredible 9 days at the Capital Hotel, Empire Place. The staff are unbelievable. Friendly, kind, can't do enough! The rooms are spacious, have variety of amenities that are much more than a hotel room. There is a lot around the area, it feels very central. We wanted to extend our stay and they were full. Highly recommended!

It’s not giving a 4 star hotel. Location is ok. Close proximity to Nelson Mandela square. Staff were friendly except at the restaurant area. Breakfast is good but we’re not kept clean - spillage of food at the buffet table and flies on the scones. Staff didn’t ask you for drinks. Had to call their attention to get coffee. Expected better.

Beautifully located and short distance to my appointments.||||Warm welcome by Hendrick and the team.||||I had a problem with room access after checkin , the team swiftly moved me to a senior room because the door mechanism wouldn't be fixed right away.||||Would like more options for vegetarian meals.||||Warm and friendly staff throughout .||||Innocent is the best waiter. Every evening when I arrived from work, he made it his priority to take my dinner order so my food would arrive quicker . Thank you for your dedication and service Innocent .||

We used the conference rooms for a new launch training. It was easily accessible, clean, with friendly and helpful staff. Great value for money.

Traveling alone on business in Johannesburg for two weeks could have felt lonely, but each morning and evening, the team greeted me by name and remembered my order without fail. Their warm hospitality made me feel at home, as if I were among friends. They brought laughter and smiles to my days, turning my trip to South Africa into an unforgettable experience.||||A big thank you to Gugulethu, Michelle, Innocent, Sthembiso, Sibusiso, Tsholo, and Roitani – you all went above and beyond to make me feel at home, and I really appreciate it! The Capital Empire was our home for a week while we study teams attended training and we hosted a meeting. The staff saw to our every need. Great food from The Veranda as well as the tea time snacks. Will definitely use this hotel again! Speak to Jodie for your conference needs.

Stay here if you like unresponsive and absent management, and want to be charged up front for a long stay and then not reimbursed for six weeks when they overcharge you.
