I just wanted to highlight a staff member, Lebo who has truly made my stay special with the capital empire hotel.
This was my second time interacting with him during a work trip and once again his warmth professionalism and genuine care really stood out. He goes out of his way to make guests feel welcomed and comfortable and he does it with such ease and kindness.
Lebo carries himself with the kind of attitude that makes a lasting impression calm, helpful and genuinely passionate about what he does. Staff like him turn a good stay into a memorable one. He is definitely a valuable asset to your team. Thank you for the amazing stay despite having so many guests staying with you guys this time around

Hotel is of high standards and service excellence commendable. Our Group EWASA workshop and stay at the hotel was met with great professionalism and exceeded our expectations. Definitely would like to have this venue again for our business workshops.

The Capital Hotel Empire is a luxury hotel but the staff, starting from drivers and front desk reception as well as the restaurant staff have horrible attitudes to black LGBT guests.
They don't greet black guests but ensure to be on their best behavior for white guests.
Misogyny is obviously rampant cos they treat men better. God forbid if you're a black lesbian woman.
I have to say a huge shout out to Lerato at reception. She was the only redeeming quality. That light skinned lady with braids has a condescending attitude and they don't even say goodbye to guests who have spent a good dime on this supposed luxury hotel.
This was my second time at this hotel and my first time was worse. My room was never serviced for the full 2 nights I stayed there.
Staff stared at me from the time I came in the door and checked in. The driver who picked me up had a horrible attitude, was frantic and didn't greet or engage with me the entire trip and didn't help me with my bags and only acted nice and helped with my bag when we arrived at the hotel so he gets paid.
The staff are horribly sullen especially in the kitchen area. One restaurant staff, a black woman was rude to me and a colleague as we were having breakfast at the outside area and I had to tell her to stop harassing me and my colleague.
An absolute joke.

Originally booked a three bedroom apartment and was upgraded to a three bedroom penthouse. Stayed there for almost three weeks and each day was amazing. The front staff were amazing, restaurant staff were excellent, the chefs for breakfast and dinner were exceptional. Our housekeeper Yvonne was wonderful and my kids loved her. The building exceeded my expectations and I highly recommend

Checked in today and its now 10pm and was about to go to bed and realized the bedding was not clean , there was hair and marks on the bed from the previous guest.
After I noticed this I inspected the room only to find more dirt.
Its completely disgusting
And now at this hour , there is no management to assist with this issue .
All they can do is change the bedding , I am now expected to sleep in a dirty room which i paid full price for.
This is beyond terrible
And just a little off topic..the pool is soo filthy , I dont know how its possible but the water had a a terrible smell.
I have pictures from when I previously visited and when you compare then to now its really bad , maintance is non existent.

Service delivery very poor.
Most of the staff are inexperienced and lack people skills.
Unable to solve simple issues.
You need to repeat your self to everyone that your problem is escalated to and still no ability to resolve.
They send you a WhatsApp to welcome you to the hotel and check on your stay.
After having complained about an issue on the WhatsApp still no response after 4 days .
So sad that even managers are unable to take simple decisions .
It’s the first hotel I stayed at where it is such an issue to make you a breakfast pack. Such lame excuses
Will definitely not come back to this hotel

I like how welcoming the staff was, how clean my room/apartment was. Their food was great, can’t complain. The overall experience was top tier. I would highly recommend The Capital to anyone.
