Yelp
This is a top notch old school steak house. One can consistently count on the beautiful ambience of dim, lighting, private wood booths or free standing tables, white table, cloths, and uniform, dressed professional wait staff.
The bar 5/5: It's a beautiful bar. They have everything you could want. And of course, the bartenders are pros. Macallan 15, single malt scotch with one big rock for me, please. The fellas had beers.
Service was 5/5: Server Ron, was very informative, attentive, and upbeat.
Food was 4/5:
*Maine lobster salad was very lovely though lacking a little of the citrus vinaigrette.
*Ribeye steak sandwich was unassumingly awesome! Looked so simple. Very little caramelized onions and Havarti cheese listed on menu ~ Didn't matter, it was delicious!
*Their signature cheeseburger was the perfect thickness, juicy, and cooked perfectly.
* Their fries were a medium thickness. A nice caramel color and a little crispy, and they were hot.
* We also had their lobster bisque soup. They have always had it but somehow it is not on the menu. It was just a little thin or somehow different than it has always been. Still very good.
Reception hostesses was 2/5:
Two cute young ladies with less than welcoming demeanors. Not professional, short on vocabulary, long on attitude. With a nearly empty dining room at 2:15 PM on a Friday, they wanted to sit us on the outskirts of the dining room, where people walk in and out. I requested a better seating at a booth. With attitude, she walked away to her podium to check, came back, and accommodated my request.
It was a birthday celebration. They kindly offer a little free dessert. It was a piece of flourless, chocolate cake, and a piece of cheesecake. Two little rounds. With happy birthday written on the plate.
