We started off with drinks at the bar. They have a fairly good size area at the bar and around the bar. Then we sat down and had superior service and food while we were there. We started with the oysters and the bacon appetizer two separate things. Then I had the specialty ribeye steak, which was fantastic. Everyone enjoyed their meals and was very enthusiastic about the experience overall. The only downside is there’s a lot of foot traffic coming by us, so it was a little bit distracting at times. Overall five star experience.

This place was amazing! Me and my wife went there for the first time. The staff was super friendly and informative. The manager even comp us a lobster tail, just to let us taste an amazing butter sauce. The seafood sampler was amazing and fresh. The steaks were life changing, I’ve never had a steak like that in my life. The whole experience is definitely worth it. We will definitely be coming back next time. Thank you Capital Grille for an amazing experience. We will definitely be back

My wife and I celebrated my birthday at one of our favorite spots, The Capital Grille in Costa Mesa. We’re pretty much regulars here, so it felt right to make it the place for my special night. Not only was it my birthday, but the Generous Pour dinner was happening as well—so we were extra excited. We started with our go-to appetizer, the calamari. It’s always cooked to perfection—crispy, tender, and paired beautifully with the sweet peppers. Of course, the warm bread for the table never disappoints either. For entrées, my wife went with the Seared Sea Scallops with Maine Lobster and Asparagus Risotto, while I had the Double Cut Lamb Rib Chops. Both were perfectly cooked and packed with flavor. We also shared a wedge salad and the Soy-Glazed Brussels Sprouts with bacon—both excellent complements to the meal. To drink, my wife enjoyed the red and white pours, while I sipped on a delicious In Fashion cocktail. The ambiance was sexy yet relaxed, and the service was flawless as always. They even sprinkled confetti on the table and surprised us with a birthday dessert plate, which made the evening feel that much more special. Cheers to The Capital Grille Costa Mesa and Happy Birthday to me!

We had lunch on a Saturday afternoon. Great experience with excellent food and service Shrimp cocktail was perfect. Cobb Salad could have used a little more blue cheese. My steak frites with duck fat fries and aoli was prepared as requested and was very good. Highly recommend It was a birthday so we got a dessert on the house and our server did an excellent job.

Google
Good food as always. They had a complimentary carpaccio I think as part of the generous pour. Maybe a good idea to add to the menu. We’ve been coming for years and the menu hasn’t changed much. Not always a bad thing but… Service is always on key. Don’t need to ask for water and the table is cleaned up before next course.

Google
Are you serious right now! Just finished another dinner and well…even better than when I was here last month, if possible. What’s the difference…our outstanding server, Micah. Wow, he knows his wines. The generous pour is a great things…but even better when the server is vested in knowing the history of the wine, wine maker, and tasting notes. Just fantastic. Great job! See you soon.

Google
Ruined everyother restaurant for my husband and I. Absolutely loved the food, drinks, and service. Pedro, our waiter, was phenomenal. We will return on a monthly basis to re-experience which is now our favorite restaurant!

Google
I am so impressed! Got a reservation here for Father’s Day and it was our first time. Couldn’t have chosen a better place. The restaurant is beautiful and upscale, their food is delicious, their drinks are strong, but what makes this place stand out from the rest is their attention to detail and their incredible customer service. Our server, Kendra was the best! So sweet, thoughtful and attentive! We had the best dinning experience because of her. She truly made my dad feel extra special on his day! Thank you Kendra and The Capital Grille Costa Mesa for such extraordinary service and food!

Yelp
My wife and myself enjoyed a fantastic meal on Thanksgiving and despite being very busy the food and service was impeccable. The hostess's working the front desk were polite and very efficient. Our waiter, Elijah F was very personable, professional and very experienced. We normally have lunch at the Capital Grill during the week and as always, our salads, steaks and coconut macaroon pie was exceptional. Elijah made our visit a great holiday experience.

Yelp
The Capital Grille always has incredible service and goes above and beyond to make your celebratory moments in life feel extra special. We've been going for years and each visit feels like a great experience at a familiar friend's house (albeit a fancy friend haha). My repeat orders are: Blackberry Bourbon Sidecar - a very well balanced drink that's not too sweet and very easy to drink. Parmesan Truffle Fries: a must-order, although the recent addition of Duck Fat Fries definitely gives it a run for its money. Maine Lobster Salad: especially on warm days, this is such a refreshing and delicious option. Generous chunks of perfectly prepared lobster with avo, tomatoes, and arugula. Perfect! Lobster Mac N Cheese: although it's part of the dinner menu, I even order this when I'm there for lunch and The Capital Grille is kind enough to accommodate. A decadent and elevated version of Mac N Cheese and a must try if you love lobster. For entrees their steaks are always prepared accurately based on our requests and we love their high quality ingredients and attention to detail. Highly recommend visiting The Capital Grille the next time you want to celebrate or are just feeling like a special treat!

Yelp
Very much enjoyed our little date night in S OC with dinner at the bar. Normally I order a NY but I just didn't recall all beef items except a sliced steak and the Filet as being dry-aged. . Typically, Dry aged beef is polarizing the variety outside of tasting like shxt. On the hand the filet was very good as was the coconut cream pie. Definitely share that bad boy. Janelle served us and the cocktails were good as well. Please figure out the Stoli thing! Just because they were bankrupt doesn't mean you can't get any! No dirty is better than with Stoli / Elit and blue cheese olives! IMO!

Yelp
Just want to start out by saying our most recent server Sylvia (hope I didn't butcher that) was super lovely and made us feel very welcomed. Spectacular level of attention and detail. That being said, I've always really enjoyed capital grille whether it's for lunch or dinner. Whether it's a sandwich, salad, appetizer, oysters, or obviously one of their very decent cuts. You can't really complain, it's solid. It isn't like a Michelin star level outlier or something life changing but I can see why people love it and gravitate towards it.

Yelp
Fabulous girls' night out. We wanted to experience the Wagyu and Wine pairing the restaurant was featuring. We sat in the bar for a more lively crowd. Our waiter was slow to warm up, but once we ordered a bottle, he perked up. He became friendlier as the evening progressed. I ordered the Wagyu Blue Cheese and Black Truffle Burger with cabernet-braised red onions and blue cheese. It was paired with a glass of Palermo, Cabernet. The wagyu burger and wine were perfect, and we both agreed we want to do this again. We added truffle fries. Delicious, too. I wouldn't upgrade to the caviar experience - not worth the add on. But definitely go to experience the pairing. You won't be disappointed.

Yelp
I've had the pleasure of dining here twice now and both times have been a phenomenal experience. The service here is top-notch. For dinner I came here with my husband to celebrate his birthday and we were served by Tiffany L. She made sure that we had an amazing experience from beginning to end. I hope she gets recognition for this! We started off with the caviar dip appetizer, which I think was fun to splurge on. I recommend trying the caviar alone to taste the caviar. Otherwise it does get lost in the dip. I ordered the scallop and lobster risotto as an entree whereas my husband ordered the seared tenderloin with lobster. We also ordered potatoes au gratin as a side. Everything was absolutely amazing. Cooked to perfection! We were so full. We did not have any room for dessert. however Tiffany did bring over a little birthday treat for my husband. I've had such a great time every time I come here. I look forward to many more!

Yelp
First of all this dining experience was very nice. The restaurant was absolutely beautiful and the service was top notch. I usually will try a signature drink at different places but today I just had some sparkling water. For a business lunch today it was the perfect place to go. I had the lobster bisque which was a special today. It was absolutely delicious. Very creamy and pleasing to the palate and please get a little bit of sherry added you won't regret it!! Then I also had the Chilean Sea Bass with asparagus and shiitake mushrooms. The sea bass was cooked to perfection! A medium sear to the top where it was crispy but the inside was flaky, flavorful and delicious. The chef definitely knew what they were doing with this plate. The asparagus was cooked perfectly with shiitake mushrooms in in a delicious delicate sauce. The table shared an order of fried calamari which was also very good. Needed a little salt but they again were not overcooked and was very tender. Definitely would like to try this place again when I'm in town on business. Well done The Capital Grille!!

Yelp
Shopping at the South Coast Plaza we decided to just eat at the mall and The Capital Grille was conveniently located at one of the wings! Just put ourselves on the waitlist and only waited about 5 mins. Was seated at the end near private rooms so it was quiet and felt more personal! Ordered quite a bit as usual, including the crab legs - perfect addition! The server also knew exactly how we wanted our orders served..gave the scallops in two plates, steak already cut, and everything arrived at the same time which I actually prefer over getting them over time! Everything was delicious, and the server really made it even more awesome. Automatically got added to the club, so I'll be sure to come back again. Highly recommend!! If you're at this mall anyway, you might as well treat yourself to a nice dinner too.

Yelp
Last weekend of Wagu & Wine 2025. Pair a Wagu burger and glass of wine for $35. Restaurant was crowded for a Friday afternoon. Hostesses and waitress were welcoming and friendly. Burger was one of the best I've ever had. Flavorful, cooked perfectly and so much I could not finish it! The duck fat friend were also delicious. Both paired well with Pinot noir. I'll return the next time they promote this special. Restaurant was decorated nicely for the holiday.

Yelp
I went here for happy hour and it was amazing! They start you off with a bread basket with a variety of bread and delicious butter. I ordered the garlic shrimp. This dish has huge shrimp, whole pieces of garlic and bread that soaks up all the butter sauce. This is a must order! I also ordered the filet mignon sliders and the flavor was pretty good, but I asked for some herb aioli on the side and that made it better. My steak was a little too charred on the outside and a little more cooked on the inside than medium, but it was tasty.

Yelp
I came here for a work meeting a few months ago, and the restaurant really impressed me. It's elegant, stylish, and has that "special occasion" vibe. I ordered the steak, and it was incredibly tender and juicy--honestly one of the highlights of the night. The service was phenomenal. Our group had a private room with dedicated waiters, and they were on top of everything--attentive, quick, and super professional. We also walked around a bit after eating, and the space is gorgeous. They have a full bar where you can sit and enjoy a meal, or you can dine in the main area if you prefer something more intimate. It's a great spot for a romantic date night, an anniversary dinner, or a birthday celebration. It is on the pricier side, but it really depends on what you order and what your budget looks like. The drinks were just okay, but the food made up for it. Definitely a place I'd return to whenever I'm in the area.

Yelp
came for my birthday this year and could not be more happy! We had the best service our waiter was so funny and helpful loved having him! We did come on a Sunday night it was pretty quiet everything came out super quick. The BEST steak I have ever had the medium was cooked to perfection! we tried the lobster Mac (my fav) mashed potatoes, Brussels w bacon, and cream of spinach they were all AMAZING! if you drink you need to get their lemon drop the vodka is infused w pineapple and the best one I have tried! Also the coconut cream pie dessert is a MUST! If that's not your thing the cheesecake is also a yummy choice :)

Yelp
I came here for lunch and had excellent service. I thought all the wait staff were wonderful and attentive. It's a little old school vibe wise but I kind of love that and miss it from the usual restaurants we typically go to--I guess you can say it's very steakhouse vibes. lol! The food was also good! We had the calamari, which was a good portion size. The clam chowder and French onion soup came in small cups/bowls but they were also tasty. I got the porterhouse steak and thought it was well cooked (rare plus!) and enjoyed the meal. My favorite was surprisingly the sautéed spinach. Mashed potatoes and mushrooms were other great sides, but the spinach was somehow my fave. lol!! Anyways, lovely service. Good cocktail and wine selection.

Yelp
Wow! Food is amazing. My favorite side was the Au-gratin potatoes & truffle fries! Absolutely amazing, would go back just for those. The apple pie dessert was amazing. Joffrey the manager is very sweet & attentive. Beautiful decor in dim lit atmosphere.

Yelp
The food was amazing! Everything looked beautiful and very flavorful. It was cooked to perfection. The calamari was perfectly paired with cherry peppers. The service was excellent! George, our server, was very attentive and efficient. The place is very inviting and clean. As far as pricing, you pay for a good quality ingredients so one should expect that it comes with a price. The complimentary bread was very good also and goes well with the butter.

Yelp
This is about the waiter George A that made my visit not comfortable yesterday. I was there just for my cappuccino and cheese cake after church and I didn't want to eat because later I was going to a dinner party; however, I ordered a small soup. Here is the person who was there to HELP took my knife away without asking me and because I didn't cut butter with my fork I asked him for knife to bring back to my table but he didn't. I wouldn't go back there

Yelp
First, the food, the ambience, and our server were really good. I got the shrimp and the Caesar bites. But you may be asking yourself: "Self why the low review?" I had a really weird encounter last night when I went to go sit at the bar. I saw two empty seats, so I asked the patrons next to each empty seat if the seat was taken, and they both said no. I then sat down on one of the empty seats , and I put my purse down on the other seat because my friend was in the parking lot and walking up. But then one of the Caucasian employees at the bar asked me to move because those seats were reserved. I told her that there were no reserved signs that I saw. She then said that she was about to put them down. So I did leave, and later on in the night there was a group of Caucasian males around that area, and there was still no reserve sign on the bar! I look of Asian descent, and I was really surprised to see such behavior. I really never thought I would experience what appeared to be racism in Orange County.

Yelp
The service was amazing and the restaurant is very beautiful. The food was just how I expected it to be. I love how they decorated my table and gave me a card and a rose for my birthday.
google avatar

Yelp
The bread basket is worth coming alone! I had a filet that was cooked to perfection. The mashed potatoes are so creamy and garlicky. By far one of the best steakhouses in the area. Service is as expected. Excellent.

Yelp
Always dependable service and food. Located at south coast plaza you can either valet or self park. Restaurant is located upstairs. There is an elevator right at the entrance. Their bread basket it wonderful mix of cracker bread, sweet black raisin bread, Onion loaf, and baguette . They have delicious coffee too Their steaks are lightly seasoned and cooked to perfection. Mashed potatoes are smooth and cream spinach is rich and creamy Their salad is beautiful spring mix. Espresso cal for dessert is delicious too

Yelp
This place is amazing. Staff is incredibly on top of service standards and very attentive! Food was hot and fresh! We did the Wagyu and wine pairing special. Pick a burger and a wine from a limited list. Burgers came on brioche buns. Next time will sub buns for greens like an open face burger. Celebrated bdays and the table was done up, so cute and special. Dessert was beautifully presented. Everything was amazing thanks to Joffrey and team! Special shout out to our waitress Amie - fantastic!

Yelp
Here for a weekend girls trip with my friend & I. Here's the rundown: Ambiance - very upscale, classy, old school steakhouse vibe. Had a reservation at 8pm & got seated fairly quickly. Service - upon getting seated, I swear nobody paid attention/served water/ greeted us for almost 15min. I understand it's a Friday night, but for a classy restaurant, you expect high quality service too! The server was very nice, but nothing from the service overall was extraordinary. Food - the restaurant offers fresh bread that was probably the best tasting thing on the menu.... We ordered a bone in ribeye, lobster Mac, mashed potatos, & brussel sprouts. The steak was chewy (we ordered a medium). The mashed potatoes literally tasted like nothing. Texture wasn't creamy, more watery. Brussel sprouts were the BIGGEST disappointment. Soggy, burnt bacon & TOO SWEET. Lobster Mac was literally Mac with 1 sliver of meat :(. For $200 you can go to elsewhere and probably have more fun! I do not recommend at all.
google avatar

Yelp
Purchased their Thanksgiving sides package and wow it was amazing!!! Some of the best side dishes I have in a while. Everything was great from the sweet potato mash, mash potatoes, green beans and the bread! I will definitely order this again next year! Thank you for making our Thanksgiving special!

Yelp
The best place we enjoy stopping at all we're visiting Southern California! The Capital Grille is the premium spot, at least for us!. My wife and I stopped in to visit some friends during lunch, finding that their perfection has continued! Sitting at the bar, Greg took superb care of us as he always does! After working our adult beverages, I opened with a round of oysters. The beverages were absolutely delicious as were the oysters! My wife ordered one of their plated specials of chicken breast and risotto while I ordered my standby of the lunch filet, coated in peppercorns, and creamed spinach. Each dish was expertly prepared and presented with flair. We never go wrong whenever we stop here. We truly enjoy having Gene Autry and John Wayne looking over our shoulders as we enjoy the old school ambience. Thank you you again Greg!!

Yelp
The food here is always on point. I come here pretty frequently. I used to go to the Capital Grille in LA but they shut it down so this is the new spot. Their bone in ribeye is so yummy! I also tried the porcini ribeye which I didn't quite like it has some sort of mushroom rub with balsamic vinegar. It just had a weird taste to me. I realized that I'm better off ordering what I'm used to. Service here is always great and the staff here is super helpful. The manager came by and told me he was going to remake my ribeye although I told the server it was okay when she asked me how I like it. And I told her I would take it home to doctor it. I had it boxed up and ready to take home and she evidently spoke to the manager. Really nice! My favorite here is the lobster bisque, crab cakes, and their ribeye. I've had almost everything from the New York steak to bone in filet and filet mignon to the sea bass. My go to is still the bone in rib eye. Oh and their cracker bread with that crack butter! Yum! And when you're here you have to have the doli. I love that it's tasty and has 170 calories. I love that this place has calories listed for each menu item. Love it! The restaurant is casual but classy. It can get loud here but we've asked for the corner table before so we can get some work done and have been able to take calls with no problems.

Yelp
I was extremly lucky to be able to dine here through a professional event. I have heard of The Capital Grille before but never went inside. This place is very fancy and the food, from what I know, is pretty pricey. The event called for a 3 course meal set up. The servers were very good at getting all of our orders for appetizer- entre- and desert. I absolutely would love to come back here on a special occasion.
google avatar

Jan D.

Yelp
Service, food and ambiance here is really up to par. I love coming here at lunch as there are less people and you don't feel bad to take your time and literally take it all in. The duck fat fries with the steak is my literal go to and if you have a celebration they do it right here esp with their flourless espresso cake. Yum! I will def be back!
google avatar

Yelp
Came here in a party of 10 for a birthday. The service was good and the bread basket was yummy. I ordered a cup of clam chowder and a Filet Mignon. The clam chowder was too thick while also not having much flavor, and the steak (ordered medium) was extremely rare. To their credit, when they saw I hadn't eaten much, the waitress offered to put it back on the flame, but since there wasn't much seasoning to it anyway, I declined, took it to go, and had my fiancé zhuzh it up at home. I tried someone else's fries and they were dry and salty with little other flavor. Overall pretty disappointing meal considering the price point and elegance of the place. The interior of the restaurant is really pretty! The food quality just does not match.

Yelp
Steak frites hate to see me coming!!! Medium rare is perfect for the NY strip. The steak is tender and pairs well with the chimichurri. for $32 with the perfect truffle fries + aioli and a a side salad, this lunch plate was such good values Comes with their bread rolls which are so good soft and served with some butter. Service is stellar. Waiters are attentive.
google avatar

Yelp
Table was reserved with a birthday card and birthday confetti. Service was great. Antony was excellent and attentive waiter, always checking in and refilling waters. Ambiance was elegant, spacious and nice inside. Went during lunch and had great seating spot near the wall and window. Steaks were cooked perfect for medium rare. Wished they had ribeye option for lunch though. NY strip was good size and portion for lunch. Creamed Spinach was okay. Parmesan Truffle Fries were absolutely delicious, a must get!! Fried in "magic" oil. Both desserts were great, but the strawberry extract with the cheesecake is worth it. So delicious!

Yelp
I returned here with my daughter and granddaughter to celebrate my birthday, and we had another fine meal. Diane was not feeling well, so unfortunately had to stay home. We opened with a meaty Shrimp Cocktail, followed by a Bowl of delicious Clam Chowder for me. Then I had an enjoyable Wedge Salad with Bleu Cheese Dressing, followed by tender Seared Tenderloin and Poached Lobster Tails, along with cheesy Au Gratin Potatoes and Roasted Wild Mushrooms. My other tablemates ordered Field Greens Salads, a Seared Tenderloin with Poached Lobster Tails, and a handsome 14 oz. Dry Aged New York Strip Steak. For my birthday I was presented with a baby Chocolate Cake and tiny Carrot Cake. Service by Tommie K. was exemplary, and all other staff members encountered were friendly and helpful. I will surely return.

Yelp
Spent a casual afternoon here for lunch! Service was quick and friendly, we were intrigued by the menu selections. The calamari was delicious and the cream spinach was amazing! The salmon salad entree was a perfect afternoon meal, along with some steak. Great vibes, great food, would love to return to try more entrees.

Yelp
This was my third or fourth time coming to The Capital Grille. It's still just as good as the first time! Service is wonderful. The food is phenomenal. You can't go wrong here. This time I brought my parents and aunt/ uncle. It was my aunts birthday, so I recommend that we come here to celebrate. It was a great success! My aunt loved the food. My dad and uncle loved the ribeye so much! They said it was the best ribeye they have ever had. That's awesome! Ambiance got a little loud in the area we were seated. The table next to us was super loud. It was hard at times for us to have a quiet conversation. But that hasn't been my experience on other visits. 10/10 overall! Fantastic experience! My family said they would love to come back here. Score!!! :)

Yelp
Came here for a bday celebration with a group of 25 people. We had reservations at 7:45pm but had to wait 30 minutes to be seated. Once seated, it took awhile to be able to order our food. When the waiter told us the specials of the night, there was no price, no explanation of how it's prepared. I heard ny steak, a waygu, a lobster tail and another lobster tail. I had to ask him to repeat, how much, and how they will prepare. For a fine dining restaurant, this is bad service. I also ran out of water multiple times and had to hunt them down for refills. The French onion soup was good but not a lot of broth. It was mostly onions inside and maybe a spoon of broth. I was hoping for more broth but the flavor of the soup was good. The steak had zero flavor. No salt, no sauce, nada. It was cooked right since I asked for rare but that's about it. The mushrooms and onions also no flavor. For the cost of this one steak, I could have gotten a pack of 3 prime rib eye at Costco with better results. I also ordered the cream corn side dish which was also disappointing. Firstly it came cold and the corn was undercooked and very crunchy. I told the waiter who took it back and I think they just reheated it because it came back warm. Not hot, just lukewarm. The corn was still undercooked in a soupy milky liquid. It didn't taste good at all. I ended up taking most of my dinner home and fixing it today by cooking the cream corn with more ingredients, making a sauce for my steak and adding seasoning. I made food when I got home because I was still hungry. For a $180 meal after tax and tip, this was way disappointing. I've had way better steak across the street at Vaca or Maestro. I dunno why this place has such high ratings. Maybe at one point it was good but if you have all these steaks and can't get it done right.... That's just sad. Don't waste your money or time here.

Yelp
We came here for my birthday. Jorge gave me the cake. How sweet ! I love the honey feeling . And yes I'm sure the wish will come true just on time.

Yelp
Michelle was our server with Cameron helping out. They were both amazing. Their warmth smiles and service made our lunch spectacular. We had 3 New York steaks and one Salmon. Everything was exquisite. The decoration and ambience was perfect to have an authentic conversation. Thank you!

Yelp
I came here for a meeting dinner. This isn't my first time but for some reason, I have no memory of this place. Their bread was really good, and I don't even like bread. The onion bread and the raisin bread were especially good. For the appetizer the bacon wrapped cheese had too thick a chunk of cheese for me. The calamari came with some spicy chilis and it was so good! The house salad lacked flavor. The porcini rubbed bone in ribeye was really flavorful. I loved the sauce. The steaks were all over done by one level though. It was okay for my steak but the filets looked dry and rubbery. The mashed potatoes side was very good but the asparagus was stringy and hard at the bottom- should've been cut shorter. The dessert platter came with a coffee chocolate flourless cake, crème brûlée and a cheesecake. My favorite was the cheesecake. Overall liked the food a lot and would come back.

Yelp
This was the start to a romantic date night with my boyfriend. Our server was Jasmine. She was great with starting us with drinks -- I had to order a Stoli Doli. It always makes me wish I was in Hawaii when having this cocktail. Fan of the bread basket for the white bread with onion baked on top! Our server Jasmine totally assisted with checking on if any of the breads were dairy-free. Unfortunately they were not, but I appreciated the time she took to check. I ordered the Porcini Rubbed Bone-In Ribeye with the delicious balsamic goodness! I think this is my new favorite steak! I ordered it medium and only because I am not a fan of a lot of blood. But the medium was cooked to perfection with the pink and juicy! We sided it with the mushrooms and seasonal offering of brocolini. I absolutely love mushrooms! I think mushrooms pair so well with steak. It is a flavor enhancement, especially when your steak selection only has the natural meat flavors. The mushrooms paired deliciously with my boyfriend's order of the Dry Aged Bone-in NY Strip. Since my boyfriend has a dairy Allergy, I appreciated the chef for preparing everything to non-dairy based. I do wish there were some dairy-free sauce / flavor options that do not include butter and used olive oil instead. That was the only troubling part of meal selecting. Bonus was we made it to our evening's concert with Pacific Symphony. And to just throw this in... I am 100% fan of the restaurant's ambiance and design. This time I was sat on a side I have never been on. There was a portrait of Walt Disney. Seriously a "practically perfect in every way" moment. I would definitely call this dining experience one for the memories and can't wait to dine again with Captial Grille. I will continue to have my goal of dining at as many Capital Grilles as possible in the US! #goals

Yelp
We had an office event and our large group of 15 came here for lunch today . Amazing! Great foods. Excellent service. We had the shrimp cocktail, calamari, and crab cakes as appetizers, and everything was delicious. I wanted to order the seared sirloin and lobster tails but since I had much red meat lately, I ordered the salmon instead. Substitute the coucous for mashed potatoes and that was a great choice. Didn't really see what everyone else ordered but I noticed people across, around, and next to me had the seared scallops, sliced tenderloin steak fries with chimichurri, Maine lobster salad, seared tenderloin steak with lobster tails, sushi-grade seared sesame tuna, filet mignon, etc. Everything looked so yummy. I didn't hear a single comment or complaint. Everyone really enjoyed their food. We also ordered dessert, either to eat there or to go. I got the coconut cream pie to go and shared it with my husband tonight. We both loved it. So glad we picked this restaurant this time.

Yelp
I have been the Capital Grille many times and each time it exceeded my expectations, whether for a business lunch or nice dinner out. This time I started with the wedge salad- always terrific and the smoke bacon is so good. They also have the terrific bread basket with about 4-5 options. Then I had the filet - it was cooked perfectly to my request. For sides, we went with the mashed potatoes (creamy and delicious) and the asparagus (crisp with squeeze of lemon). Since we had a few of us for dinner, we tried a selection of deserts (crème brûlée, cheesecake and the espresso flourless cake). All were good, but I love flourless cake. I will definitely be back.

Yelp
It's not often that I have red meat for dinner, but it was a busy week and I didn't want to use the occasion to enjoy a steak by dining at Capital after having received very high marks from friends and fellow Yelp colleagues. My visit was early evening and I chose to sit at the bar which had ample seating. The team here could not have been more friendly or accommodating giving me time to enjoy a glass of wine before ordering. Very high end and classy spot from the staff to the decor. I chose to start the evening with a half dozen oysters that were served over a bed of ice. . . not as common as folks think. At any rate, the oysters were exceptionally fresh and and substantive with a serving of horseradish, cocktail sauce and vinegar with shallots. They were exceptional and recommend them highly for those so inclined. For the entree, I chose the NY steak with topped with the au poivre sauce. This is my favorite to accompany a steak and something I have ordered had for decades. My steak was crusted with crushed black peppercorns and was cooked perfectly from end to end. The au poivre sauce was prepared to perfection as well which maintained its consistently throughout the meal. This steak was excellent, excellent, excellent! I am so very glad that after 8 years being in the neighborhood and many recommendations that I finally made it in. While the wine selections are good, for those who have personal favorites, you might want to tap into your private selections. Diners will be treated to a very special meal and the perfect wine selection will take it to the next level. Capital Grille is one of my top favorites in town and while it may already be for many of the locals, it can be yours as well if you've not dined here. As I noted from by starter, it has a good selection of seafood as well. I encourage you to dine here for that special occasion . . . or just a nice evening out on the town. Bon appetite!

Yelp
The food was great and so was the ambiance. But, what really made this visit for me was the service! Chad was such an amazing person to share this experience with and I felt he went above and beyond for my spouse and I. To top it all off, it was my birthday! Thank you for making this dining experience so joyful! For appetizers, we had the pan fried calamari and shrimp cocktail. Calamari was just the right amount of spice for us and the shrimp was large! 8/10 for both! Drinks, we had the Paloma and the Passionfruit mojito. 10/10 for both! Chad went out of his way to make us tasters for their pineapple martini! It made me so happy! For the table, asparagus and potato au gratin. Girl... the au gratin? I wanted to live in it. 100/10 Main course was the tenderloin w/ lobster tail and a rib eye. I'm STILL full! 1000/10 We even got a little dessert! Espresso cake and cheesecake. Goodness, I was happy. Thank you, Chad!

Yelp
Came here for the first time, just a date night, nothing special. Our server Dani was outstanding. She went through the menu, gave exceptional insights to the food and helped me decide between two drinks, the blackberry bourbon is perfection, btw. The food was incredible. I got the roasted chicken with risotto, perfect, my boyfriend the NY strip, so good. We shared au gratin potatoes that were perfectly tender and flavourful. We ended up taking 2 bags of leftovers home, lol, the portions are very generous. At the end of our meal, Dani said she'd love to have us back to serve us again, and I'm sure they're told to say that to guests, but I actually think she was being genuine, and it felt good. We will definitely be back. Great experience overall!

Yelp
Celebtated my husband's birthday here last night. Our table was ready and decorated with confetti and a sweet birthday card for the birthday boy. Started off with a special margarita and Lobster Crab Cake, Entrees included the Rib Eye Steak, Seared Salmon, and a side of Brussel Sprouts. Meal came with a yummy bread basket Hubby was brought a Happy Birthday dessert of Cheesecake and Chocolate Mousse. Wonderful service and all the food including our cocktails was absolutely delicious! Can't wait to go back again!
