The Capon Tree Town House

Fabulous. Seriously good. Quality rooms, excellent wine, warm welcome. We decamped here having already booked into a seriously over-rated hotel nearby, which had no heating and nothing else to recommend it. Don't skimp on cheap places, this is worth every penny. We'll be back!

We were looking for somewhere to have a meal in Jedburgh and decided on this establishment. We can honestly say it was one of the best meals we have had in a long time. The presentation, quality and taste were outstanding along with value for money. The staff have obviously been well trained because they provided outstanding and very polite service, well done, this element seems to be missing in so many establishments. We recommend this establishment and will use it again

We discovered the restaurant by chance. From the outside, it looks unassuming but nice. The interior atmosphere was great, and the staff were very friendly. The menu is small, but sufficient. I strongly recommend going for the three-course menu right away – it’s usually cheaper. Now to the food: it was excellent; all eight dishes we had were very tasty and nicely presented.

A great location on the High Street. The food at dinner was excellent and very good value. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. The only reason I have knocked off a star is that breakfast has to be eaten in the bedroom, balanced on the knee as there is no morning service and no table in the room.

We came in for a meal. We ate from the set menu which we thought was great value. The food was delicious and perfectly portioned. The staff were friendly and attentive, despite only being 2 on and the restaurant was very full. Would highly recommend.

Can’t fault this place. Booked it at the last minute. Very tastefully decorated and the room had everything you would need. Had a fantastic 3 course meal which was delicious. Caitlin and Alastair were very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely stay here again.

I wasn't staying here, just ate. Nice dinner. Very reasonable £22.50 for their 3 course special. Can't complain about that. The staff were lovely.

We have visit this restaurant for a dinner. Only a tasting “ Triple tasting “ menu, available which looked to be fine but was actually a disappointment. Buffalo Mozzarella with tomato and rocket. No buffalo mozzarella but just regularly mozzarella ( tiny slices) and only a couple of rocket. 🤨 Inside Skirt with pepper sauce and frites. The meat was tasteful but the frites were almost raw. 🤨 . I got a new portion but for me it was already enough. After this I skipped the desert which was a good choice as my wife had a panna cotta with pina colada en fruit. The panna cotta was cut in pieces which some fruit. 😓 and no taste of pina colada. Her starter was Scottish Salmon which was tasteless. 🥵 Her main “Chicken Cancun was okayish, but overall we would not recommend this restaurant.
