The Captain of Aireys

Just wow. Probably the best pizza dough I have ever had. The Captain only does pizzas, which is a stroke of genius because they do them incredibly well. We ordered the Veggies patch, Lemon and Garlic prawn and the Captain. They were all divine. Very fresh ingredients, prawns were large and cooked well. The ham was not overly salty and processed. The garlic and parmesan loaf was also delicious. Staff are just wonderful.

Fantastic pizza. Fresh, tasty and well seasoned. Great chew to the dough, sauce was excellent, great ingredients. Salad was also spot on. Lots of veggo options as well. Service was excellent and vibe in the restaurant was very nice. Highly recommended if you are passing through.

Mouth watering woodfired pizza's every time we come here. Very nice wines and drink selections. Excellent customer service and they cater for dairy allergies. The vegan cheese is delicious, one of the best, and I've tried dozens. Also very excellent relaxing music. Last time they were playing a bit of bluesy jazz which was right up our alley. Very cosy in winter and a cool sea breeze in summer sitting in the outdoor area. Our favourite restaurant in Aireys Inlet.

My Partner and I recently visited The Captain of Aireys, and I have to say their pizza is amazing! The dough was perfect, and the toppings were fresh and flavourful. I loved the variety of options they offered. The atmosphere was cozy, and the staff were really friendly. If you're a pizza lover, you definitely need to check this place out!

One of the best pizza places we’ve tried ! The wood fired pizzas were just perfectly charred, they tasted smoky and the toppings complemented the overall taste. Love the excellent service and atmosphere of this place as well. We sat in the cozy al fresco dining area. Would definitely recommend this place to all my family and friends!

YUMMMM Was amazing thank you ❤️ Definitely saved as a favorite for us, kids demolished their whole pizza even their crust! Such fresh ingredients in everything we ordered ( 5 pizzas, 2 salads) All of the staff were happy and friendly. We will be back ( sorry no photos we were starving and demolished everything!)

Amazing pizza in a perfect location. They've got their pizza dough on point and good selection of topping choices. 10/10.

We paid for two 11inch pizzas and a small container of rocket, total $65! What a joke! $10 for a handful of rocket ! Worst pizza we have had in years . Save your money and buy a frozen one from Coles it would seriously be better. ZERO STARS DONT BOTHER.

Dropped in for an early quick Sunday dinner & we were very impressed. Prompt, friendly service & great pizzas. Lived up to the recommendations of locals!

We tried this place for a change, and glad we did - Aireys Inlet is known for it's lighthouse and the tea-shop nearby, but wanted to try something different for a more substantial meal. The staff are really friendly and helpful, and the pizzas have interesting and very tasty variations on regular favourites. The "Pork 'n' Pear" pizza has a lovely mix of fior di latte and gorgonzola cheeses - lovely! There's plenty of side order options, as well as a kids menu too... A lovely little spot to stop off for a break if touring the Great Ocean Road or even if staying nearby - especially if you want to avoid the hustle and bustle of more touristy places like Lorne.

Amazing place on the coast! My husband & I were driving past on our way to Apollo Bay & saw this little place. I'm an Aussie & he's a New Yorker and I have to say, this pizza rival's the pizza I've eaten in NYC since I've lived there for the past 7 years. There salads are fresh & unique & yummy & they have great coffee & local ice-cream to finish the meal. Wonderful service also from the young couple that own it. He's the chef & she's front of house & together they're the perfect team. Check out The Captain. Seriously. You won't be disappointed!!
