"Perhaps it’s fitting that a Ritz-Carlton has risen from the ashes of one of the grimmest examples of Soviet-era hospitality, the Intourist hotel, and to complete the break from the past, it’s charging hedge-fund-high rates for the privilege of staying right off Red Square. There’s more than a bit of czarist Russia in the faux classical facade and chandeliered lobby, but it’s the sleek rooftop bar, O2 Lounge, that’s the standout here, serving up a sweeping view of the Kremlin along with sushi and shots of oxygen. Restaurants include a pan-Asian restaurant, Ginkgo; a full-service spa and a glass-domed indoor pool are available on the lower level for morning-after penance. The 334 spacious guest rooms—the smallest measuring 299 square feet—are decorated in polished cherrywood and have the requisite Frette linens and feather bedding; bathrooms have heated marble floors and separate showers and tubs. The fluent-in-English staff’s attentiveness is a refreshing antidote to the gruffness most foreign visitors encounter elsewhere. Moscow’s reputation as the world’s most expensive travel destination won’t change with the Ritz-Carlton’s arrival—depending on the date, the standard room rate is as high as $1,000."

The Carlton, Moscow is truly a comfortable and luxury hotel. The Restaurant of the hotel is excellent and having wider collection of multicuisine. The lobby and the bar are really amazing. Staff are extraordinarily friendly. Breakfast is awesome.

To see a hotel of high comfort, quiet luxury and charm, focused on business tourism in the center of the capital was a pleasant surprise.||All the photos and description of the hotel declared on the advertising resource are certainly objective and real, but when you get into the atmosphere of the hotel, it exceeds all expectations.||OVERALL ASSESSMENT||The first impression was great, a breath of fresh air after the flight, a stylized lobby space and friendly reception staff. Check-in in 5 minutes, accompanied by a billboy to the room (special thanks to Roman).||STAFF||Unobtrusiveness, politeness and professionalism of the staff - this is how acquaintance with the hotel begins.||Special admiration for the feedback from the reception to the requests of guests who are not left alone with their problem, their issues are resolved promptly (thanks to Vladislav for coordination). Any request is resolved quickly and as correctly as possible.||ROOM ||Everything is done for your comfort and the feeling that you are in a completely new room. Impeccable furniture, plumbing, crisp and snow-white linen, all cosmetic and bath accessories, soft adjustment of day and evening lighting, split air conditioning of different modes, huge plasma and TV channels for every taste, a bar, and, finally, the cleanliness of the room - all these are attributes of the room. All the above-mentioned benefits of civilization help to fully relax after the bustle of the day.||FOOD||Waiters, bartenders - do everything to make the guest feel at home, and the culinary art of cooks and pastry chefs is a separate merit of the hotel. An exquisite menu of high-quality products will please any gourmet. Waiters, taking orders, do not formally perform their work, but do it with pleasure, becoming your assistants in a new space of abundance and sophistication (a wonderful example of the work of the restaurant manager Lyudmila, thank you for your warmth and sensitivity to everyone).||The small space of the restaurant is very well organized. We had pleasant stay at the hotel especially the first 2 nights then there’s is new guests stayed next to us they were very loud we can literally hear everything I was surprised that the wall has no soundproofing.. sometimes I woke up in the middle of the night because of their voices I spoke with the reception desk to solve the problem but I believe that they didn’t speak to them anyway.. the 3 next nights was really uncomfortable. Overall nice stuff great service luxury hotel which has warming floor system for the toilets specially in the winter days.

On top of the prime location of the hotel, the staff and level and quality of service they provide made all the difference. I wouldn’t stay in another hotel when I come back to Moscow again. Rarely you find such professional and intuitive service as you do here, not only in Moscow but globally, a true 5 start experience. Cudos to the entire front office team but especially the concierge team (Semyon and Nikita) who were able to solve any problem and help me with all my personal and business arrangements in the city. This hotel also serves one of the beat breakfasts you will ever have, with same wonderful intuitive and friendly professionalism of their entire team. Small treats such as matryoshka macaroons and nespresso coffee machines in the rooms add a wonderful touch. Only downfall is the coffee at the breakfast is not great (watery and not strong enough) but I found this to be a general problem in Moscow. Housekeeping team knew this and kept my nespresso capsules overstocked.

First time for me in Moscow, stayed here for 6 nights. Can say my stay here was nothing short of spectacular! The hotel is located within a walking distance to most important attractions and is fairly beautiful. Most unique aspect however is Service; Despite the issue with the payment system we had, they cooperated with us and accepted to provide daily payments instead of a full prepayment. They were also considerate of our needs and made special arrangements in our room. All staff was friendly from reception to housekeeping to concierge, specially Alexander and his colleagues in the latter. Highly recommended and will definitely visit again. -

I have travelled to over 90 countries... I have never seen such a miserable and horrible service like here... it started even before reaching here... my card got blocked because the online payment service they have is hacked, and I got many transactions after the payment with them... horrible check-in... horrible service, horrible staff.. nothing works here properly... if you are a person who cares about service, don't come here. My advice
