Things I have loved about living at the Carlyle -we don’t hear anything through the walls or ceiling -the 24/7 concierges -very spacious three bedroom -lots of counter space in the kitchen -laundry in unit -extremely walkable (Rittenhouse Square, Greenfield Elementary, Tenth Presbyterian Preschool, Target and soooo many restaurants) -clean (no mice or bugs) -maintenance requests are addressed incredibly fast -free bike storage -lots of closet space and storage in unit -tall ceilings -water pressure is great -packages are handed to you when you come in or are dropped off at your door -ability to leave car out front when dropping off groceries Things I don’t like about the Carlyle -parking isn’t on site, but with how walkable the area is we don’t use the car much. -one step to go into the building instead of a ramp -the windows are drafty -no central heating or air (the ac units work really well but the heaters are loud and kind of annoying) Overall I love it and I am so happy we live here!!!

Save yourself the trouble and do not rent here - opt for a bigger complex with actual amenities instead. the only good part about this building is their front door staff and technicians who are kind and dependable. the upper management is awful and will penny pinch you for everything. when we first moved in, the laundry machine in our unit was broken and they made me pay to use the communal one in the building even though the broken machine is their fault. Another time, my roommate was out of town and left her keys with me and I had to leave to go out of town myself so I left her keys with the front door staff after communicating this with the leasing office. Now they cannot find the keys and are asking my roommate to pay a fee to replace. literally ridiculous. this place will never have your back.

We've been living here for several months and have loved it. (2 kids, 2 adults) The building has friendly staff, 24/7 concierges, and responsive maintenance workers. All of our requests have been resolved the next day. The building has no parking structure, but street parking has been relatively convenient. There is a small gym (just the basics) and a bike storage area. The location is great. It is within the Greenfield School catchment and walking distance to several preschools. Locust Street feels much quieter compared to Walnut or Spruce just a block away. It is very close to Rittenhouse Square and Schuylkill River Park.

My family absolutely loves living at The Carlyle. We’ve been here for six months and pretty much have only good things to say about the building, Allan Domb (management co), and the staff. Our favorite things include: - Perfect location. It’s just one block away from Rittenhouse Square and the library, and a few blocks away from Center City with all its great food and our kids’ schools. The neighborhood is very quaint and SAFE, plus, our block doesn’t get a lot of car traffic since it’s not a regular through street, thanks to Rittenhouse Square. - The concierges are phenomenal! They level up the experience with their exceptional service and pride in their work. We never have to worry about packages getting stolen or non-residents making their way into the building without being questions where they’re going. It’s true 24/7 concierge service. - The maintenance team is incredibly responsive. They get to nearly every request I’ve submitted, even small low-priority ones, within a day. - It truly feels like a community at The Carlyle with the residents taking time to get to know one another. A whole neighborhood in one building! - Great apartment layouts and several options to fit your needs. We have a 3BR/3BA and we love it. - Relatively good bang for your buck in terms of price to value compared to other comparable apartments nearby. - Love the free bike storage in the basement! - Haven’t used the gym, but nice that it’s there! - No mice or cockroaches for us, though I have seen a couple of cockroaches in the basement. - Any pipe issues that the building had in the past that are reflected in old bad reviews seem to be completely fixed now. No issues! As nothing is perfect, the one downside of The Carlyle is the lack of on-site parking. Luckily, Allan Domb helped us secure parking with The Wanamaker House on the opposite side of our block—a quick 5 min walk away. Fortunately, given the location, we rarely need to take the car out and instead opt for walking around town. We couldn’t be happier with The Carlyle and look forward to the rest of our time here!

When maintenance requests are needed (infrequent) they are often addressed on that same day. Lots of square footage for little cost. Great management and doormen. Cannot recommend this place enough.

Very lovely building. Although not wheelchair accessible, I easily guided my Dad up the ONE STEP into the lobby. We went to see his eye doctor. Hope I'm helpful to you all.

Lived at the Carlyle for over 7 years, loved it. Very chill building with great staff and attentive management. Location is the best and the units are not cookie cutter. Lots of closet space and views. Sad to go, but such is life.

Very old building, old Steel Plumbing, and plenty of Asbestos. Criminally incompetent Property Management (CAMCO). Current Maintenance Man tells me they average 3 leaks per week.
