Had the most amazing family Sunday lunch. Would give more stars if available. Beautifully cooked fresh produce, and the best cauliflower cheese I've ever tasted. Really friendly and attentive staff made the experience even better. Thank you.

We had a fabulous Sunday roast here - everything was perfectly and properly done! I was so impressed. Great portions too we were left with that proper Sunday feeling! All served in a lovely pub by super friendly staff. Very dog friendly too which is hugely appreciated. I highly recommend

Located close to Laughrne, just 14 minutes walk to the castle. Ample parking. Clean room. Comfortable stay.|TV, bathroom, towels, tea/coffe making facilities and bottled water in the room. We paid £92 on room only basis through booking.com. Possibly cheaper if you book direct.|However, our room was on the small side, the smoke alarm was hanging fron the ceiling, the bathroom could do with a makeover and we couldn't get the WiFi to work. As it was a Sunday night, the bar was closed, therefore nobody was around to help us.

We stayed for one night and received a genuinely warm welcome. Nothing was too much trouble, and we had a great chat with the owners and locals. Great food, a comfortable sleep, the kind of homely pub that's sadly disappearing here in the UK. Will definitely return!

Greeted with an open fire.... Friendly staff and locals..All meals were splendid and homemade, as for the garlic bread it has to be the best i've had in a pub, Same as the cheesecake. Excellent value for the money. The barman (landlord) poured our pints, took our orders and served the meals with a smile on his face. Gem of a place

What a lovely pub! From the minute we walked in we were made to feel very welcome. Lots of pubs say they're dog friendly but this one genuinely is. And the food was top notch - delicious and great value for money. Five stars well deserved!

We stayed in room 5 which had everything you needed for an overnight stay. Plenty of teas and coffees with fresh milk supplied. The double bed was very comfortable. What sets the Carpenters Arms apart is the food. The lasagne was the best I've ever had. Generous portions and nothing was too much trouble. The new owners took over less than 6 months ago and are building up a well deserved reputation for excellent home cooked food.

I didn’t stay here but have come for two meals while away in the area. What. A. Place. Brilliant service and biblical food both nights, coming with brilliant service from the owner & staff. Can’t recommend this place enough. 5 stars.
