Great Stay for Families & Adults Alike – Just Watch the Extra Fees ⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ We recently stayed at this hotel and overall had a great experience! It’s very family-friendly but also perfect for adults looking to relax. The property is beautiful, with amazing pool areas, fire pits, and lovely views that make it easy to unwind. Carlsbad itself is such a charming area, and the hotel’s location made everything feel accessible. The on-site restaurant was convenient—food was decent, nothing spectacular, but it got the job done. Staff were friendly during the few moments we interacted with them, which was appreciated. One downside: the $25 daily bar credit they charge whether you use it or not. Since I wasn’t in my room much and didn’t get a chance to spend it, it felt like an unnecessary fee. I’d rather have the option to opt-in. The late-night shop also needs improvement—most items were sold out when I stopped by, so more stock or better variety would go a long way. That said, I’d definitely stay here again. I’d love to spend more time enjoying the hotel itself next time around!

We had such a wonderful stay here. We visit Carlsbad often but this was our first time staying here and now we can't imagine staying anywhere else! It was perfect!|The room was great, we loved the lobby and my daughter loved all the kid's activites! The daily painting activities, along with the arcade and splash pad and playground was a dream for her! We also loved the daily 25 dollar food and beverage credit and used it daily! The staff was helpful and kind! I was easily able to communicate with them via the Hilton app. It was truly a wonderful stay and we already miss it! The views of the ocean and flower fields were beautiful!

Google
Excellent rooms and service! Very nice hotel. Modern and clean. Very soundproof. Super quick access to Legoland. Shout out to the front desk for being super helpful and friendly! I don’t remember her name, but if management is able to see who checked us in at our stay there on 6/15 please give her an award for awesome service. She went above and beyond to make sure our stay was 5 out of 5 perfect!

Google
You really can’t ask for a better view, it’s the highlight of the stay. The location is excellent, and that alone does a lot of the heavy lifting for this hotel. Customer service was solid, though nothing particularly exceptional. The rooms themselves were underwhelming: the bed wasn’t very comfortable, and while the bathroom was fine, it didn’t feel luxurious. The overall vibe is very “beach casual,” which is fine if that’s what you’re expecting, but the price suggests a more upscale experience than what’s actually delivered. A few drawbacks: there were no bellmen to help with luggage, breakfast was significantly overpriced for what you get, and the cocktails in the evening were pretty disappointing. During our stay, there were kids everywhere! Not the hotel’s fault, just unlucky timing, but something to be aware of if you’re looking for a quieter atmosphere. In short: come for the view and the location, but manage your expectations when it comes to comfort, food, and overall value.

We stayed here the weekend of 5/23 for my birthday. The hotel staff was SO SWEET and left a birthday surprise and card in our hotel room upon check-in. Just wanted to say THANK YOU, that alone made our stay feel extra special. -The hotel is surrounded by flowers and garden. The floral scent follows you everywhere outdoors, it's amazing! -There's so many activities for the kids to do. Arcade room, activity room (we were so busy our trip, we didn't look into this much, but they had games and Legos in the activity room, and activities you could sign up for- which looked like painting classes, etc.), ping pong table, pool table, basket ball court, playground, splash pad. -There's 2 pools. A "quiet adult" pool, and a pool next to the splash pad. Pools are heated, which is nice! -The walk is 8 minutes to Lego Land which is very convenient for those staying at the hotel who want to go to Lego Land. -Karl Strauss is in the parking lot, and had great food options. If I had a CON... I would say the breakfast buffet had limited options for the amount of money it was to purchase.

Google
Perfect location across the road from legoland. The rooms are spacious and clean with a coffee machine although no milk. The washing machines utilise an app for payment and use. The utility man is very friendly and helpful. The pool is heated and night times there are fire pits around the pool. The dinner menu isn't huge but the food is nice. The buffet breakfast is good. There's a kids playground half basketball court and kids water play and pool area plus a kids activities centre. The venue has a lovely view to the ocean with plenty of parking available on site

Two bedroom suite was perfect for our family. The grounds were clean and quiet. We used the family pool/splash pad and our little loved it! Walking distance to Legoland and the brewery in the parking lot was so convenient.

Google
Be forewarned, there is a $25/day resort fee that they tell you about when checking in. Disclosing that during the online booking process would be more honest. Service at the hotel restaurant is excellent. However, their menu lacks variety. The rooms aren't that well cleaned -- probably not vacuumed daily and definitely not mopped even between guests.

Yelp
I recently had the pleasure of staying at The Cassara Carlsbad, a stunning hotel perched above the Carlsbad Flower Fields. The room was spacious and featured a modern design, providing a comfortable retreat. The pool area and lobby were beautifully designed, creating a welcoming atmosphere. Additionally, the hotel offers convenient basement parking. During my stay for a company meeting, I found the staff to be exceptionally helpful and hospitable, ensuring a seamless experience. Overall, I highly recommend The Cassara Carlsbad for both business and leisure travelers seeking a memorable stay in a picturesque location.

Yelp
Check in- I wish I would've taken the front desk agents name, all of them were welcoming. The person that checked me in was very helpful and gave me plenty of information about the property. I checked in at 4pm so kudos to your staff! The Room- beautiful, I walked in and was truly amazed. The view was perfect and the property was clean. Check out- I was under the impression that check in was just as important as check out. I walked up to the front desk to check out.. the woman didn't even make eye contact with me. I told her the room number I checked out of she said ok and kept doing her own thing. Came to find out her name is Leah. Clearly she didn't care how my stay was and I had questions about breakfast but she didn't even try to engage. Restaurant - I had breakfast, food was great. The wait for the food was reasonable but the service was not service. At least not from our waitress. There was no smile, no welcoming behavior. She didn't look happy to be working there. It's not cheap to stay there therefore I feel the whole experience should've been pleasant. I'm glad our dinner was not at this location. Truly disappointing but the stars are for your staff that checked us in and housekeeping for keeping those rooms spotless!

Yelp
The staff was very friendly and responded within a short amount of time to our requests for water, towels and room service. I was asked by text messages during our stay each day if things were going alright. Beautiful landscaping, big pools and three jacuzzis.

Yelp
Ahhhh the Cassara! They have really upped their restaurant game, their housekeeping team is top notch--they have "facial wash bars"! Who knew? The rooms are gorgeous and immaculate, nice ocean and coastal vistas. Excellent front desk service from Jaci! EZ walk to top client and not far from friends & family. Gotta love it!! AND the free shuttle to the beach!!!

Yelp
We enjoyed our stay. The rooms were well appointed, hotel is a bit noisy. garden view, spacious room. Getting slippers was a challenge... we called for them, twice, no luck. Had to walk over to the front desk to retrieve. Early a.m. cappuccinos were delightful. This hotel offers full views of the flower fields .

Yelp
This is a fantastic hotel with two large pools. A quiet pool and a family friendly pool. Check in is easy, parking is easy and the rooms are great. There is an activities center and a small arcade. They have a small restaurant onsite which was great for dinner. Our breakfast experience was lack luster. We waited over 40 minutes for food watching families seated well after us receive their food and leave. Thankfully my young son was able to eat but my spouse and I were unable to eat because we would have been too late meeting friends at the park. Very regrettable last experience after such a great initial experience. The attempt to make the incident less unsatisfactory in the moment was to give my 8 yo son fruit with his 45 minute late meal. It was pretty disheartening watching people arrive after us eating and then leaving before us. Our experience the night before was really good.

Yelp
I am beyond pleased with my 1st ever stay at The Cassara. Not only is the hotel beautiful, but it surrounded by great views as well. The Lobby: Spacious, hip and cool. We were greeted right away and shown where to check in. There is a $25 resort fee and they give it back with a credit to get drinks. There is a nice restaurant and outdoor pool area. I love the hanging chair swings! The parking is around $20 per night but it is covered and feels much safer than other hotels I've been to. The Room: We got a standard King Room with a balcony and I was surprised by the size. It felt more like a suite. I love the attention to detail with the decor. It was simplistic and tasteful. We couldn't figure out if there was a way to get Netflix on the TV or cast from our phones, but they had some decent cable options to choose from. They even have free water bottles in the room which I think was a great addition. The bed and pillows were very comfortable as well. The Property: Gorgeous property - especially love the outdoor pool, jacuzzi and fire pits. There's a Karl Strauss very close and they even have QR codes in the room to order ahead of time. It's also close to the Flower Fields (make sure to check it's in season to get the views), the Windmill Food Hall (highly recommend), and so much more. Overall: I highly recommend this resort for a beautiful, safe and comfortable stay. I wish we could have stayed longer. They will text you once you arrive to make sure the stay is comfortable and you can text if there's anything else needed during your stay. It honestly felt like a boutique hotel just based on the decor, but it had high end service and amenities. I must find a time to go back and explore some more!

Yelp
We recently went to the Cassara for a little get away. The majority of the staff (especially the concierge) was very kind and courteous as we asked questions and got settled. When we arrived, the woman at the front desk was quite a bit frazzled and treated us in that manner. Hair a little tossed and answers a little short - we found out later that they were short staffed and someone in management forgot it was a holiday weekend. We got to our "King Room" to find out that our bed was not actually King Size (it wasn't a queen either but some kind of hybrid...). After calling the front desk to see what to do about it, she essentially said "we will do nothing about it" - the additional information being that the hotel was "full." The place itself was beautiful, very well built. Stunning view and comfortable space. We just has an unfortunate run in with staffing. At breakfast, we ordered our food and waited just over an hour to get it to the table. We watched many impatient people stressing out because their day plans were also changing. The women who were helping wait tables were very kind and so very apologetic, yet another space of being "understaffed." If you are looking to travel here, I would recommend not for a holiday weekend because I'm so sure this would be such a lovely place if they had all the people they needed there!

Yelp
Man, these people need some serious hotelman-ship training. From the front desk at check-in, to housekeeping, customer service and their kitchen, they all seemed confused and inefficient. There's a $25 mandatory fee per night and instead they hand you $25 credit used toward food and beverage but when the time comes and wanted to spend the credit, their kitchen was closed - go figure! I guess they didn't know how to run their own kitchen?! It's walking distance to Legoland. $35 self parking fee per night.

Yelp
Nothing but compliments for our resort. We did our first family vacation with our 9 month old at the Cassarra. We had a blast! The staff has been VERY attentive and professional. We had an issue with check-in, but it was not the hotel's fault. Due to the issue with some previous guests we weren't able to get into our original rooms. So, the hotel upgraded us to 2 family suites.... So awesome and gracious! We are so grateful because with 9 travelers, the setup was perfect! One of the managers Colton and the other male manager were extremely helpful and kind to us. Lots of accommodations for the baby. The pool and cabanas were excellent. Fire pits were nice. Food was really good. Coffee in the morning is GOOD! I highly recommend this resort to family, friends and the likes. Enjoy!

Yelp
I really enjoyed my stayctation here with the kids! There is plenty to do for kids such as a 2nd family pool complete with a splash pad, an arcade, a room with a pool table where they also do crafts. I got a suite that had a separate room with 2 twins which was perfect so that they could go to bed early and I could still stay up in the main living area. It's right next door to Karl Strauss and you can even order food and drinks on your phone to be brought to your room from there. The views were beautiful, I could see the flower fields and the ocean from my room (although in the winter, the flowers are just dirt at the moment). The sunset was amazing. Food and drinks were great. Only negative thing was the kitchen didn't open until 3 on a Friday so we had to go elsewhere for lunch. Not too big of an issue with Karl Strauss being open right next door.

Yelp
This is a nice hotel with lots of good amenities and a nice pool too. It's close to good stores, shopping and eats. The only issue was with the people above us stomping till 12:30am and again at 6am. Probably because the lobby has a bar and loud party scene.
google avatar

Yelp
Absolutely enjoyed my stay here! The front desk lady, Krishna (I believe), was so friendly and helpful. The hotel itself gives off resort vibes from the exterior to the interior. I loved the main pool and bar, and the bartenders made me feel very comfortable. This place is also perfect for families with a separate pool for kids, an arcade, and an activity center. The activity center even provides free swim diapers for kids, which I thought was pretty cool. Additionally, my mom discovered they hold a Christian mass on Sundays on the 3rd floor, which she attended and thought was really nice. It's also a huge plus that it's within walking distance from Legoland. There's also awesome brewery called Karl Strauss right next to it with a great selection of beers and delicious food. Overall it's definitely worth the money & I highly recommend staying here!

Yelp
Stayed here as a staycation for my birthday! You cannot beat the price of a 2 bedroom suite! Only issue was that our AC was broken in our room. The room was significantly stuffy, despite the screen door being open, and luckily my 1 year old slept through the night unlike us. We barely got sleep and upon checkout we were reimbursed with 10,000 Hilton rewards points... Pool is shared between Grand Palisades condos and not connected to the hotel bar/restaurant, so you have to leave the pool area for drinks and food.
google avatar

Leaanna L.

Yelp
The room was very comfortable and cozy. The pool was beautiful and although it was busy by the time we wanted to go in, the view was nice. It was strange to walk into the hotel and be in the bar.
google avatar

Sherry L.

Yelp
Stayed with points, which I thought was a great deal. Additional fees include a resort fee and parking fee. While the resort fee is $25/daily, they do give you a $25 credit to use at the bar/breakfast area per day. The parking fee of $32/day is a bit excessive, but I guess they want to prevent Legoland guests from parking there illegally. The grounds are beautiful and I wish we had more time to explore, but we were there for a very short stay. Unfortunately, the weather was not great when we visited, but there are two heated pools which we did see some guests take advantage of. We will definitely be bringing our LO back when he's old enough to enjoy Legoland!

Yelp
"The rotten bookends, The story of our stay with Shay." We had a wonderful family trip to Legoland, but unfortunately the Hotel (mostly Shay) was the blemish on the trip, as she was our first and last interaction at the hotel. Shay, The gremlin at the front desk, was incredibly unprofessional and rude. When I called in to see about an early check-in, as we arrived from our 7 hour drive to Carlsbad two hours before 4pm check in. She rudely said that they "don't do what you're asking, we dont do early check in".. We had a room reserved for two nights, which she verified, but would not check us in early.. which is news to me.. as I already paid for the room. Why I couldn't get a clean room for my family two hours early is beyond me. Check out is 11am, 3 hours should be sufficient time to clean a room. I just don't think Shay wanted to help us. We had to wander around the area for two hours and change our babies diapers in the back seat of car down the street in the parking lot of Starbucks as we waited for 4pm. When we did arrive at the hotel, we were greeted by Krisna?, who was very helpful and took the time to explain how everything worked at the hotel, and where everything at the hotel was. The hotel was beautiful, the lobby was up-to-date and had plenty of places to relax and have a drink or watch the game. The pools and views are also lovely. The service staff was nice, as the Gentleman who brought towels and a pack-and-play to our room was also very courteous and greeted us every time with a smile. We were thankful for the pack and play with a 10m/o baby. The Hotel is near conveniently next Legoland, so you're able to walk about a 1/4 of a mile to the Park. There is a gate that is open 2 hours after park closing. The hotel does charge $35 for parking, which was a surprise at the front desk, as it was nowhere in the reservation. The bar food is pretty good, but it was overpriced ($19 for 6 chicken wings?), but you're forced to eat there because they hide an additional $25 fee a night , the $25 resort credit is good at the bar, Where they serve you Wine in a plastic cup and don't offer room service. Amenities you would expect from $300 a night. I could have stayed at Motel 6 and got the same amenities. The service at the bar was sub-par, the afternoon bartender didn't know how to make a Latte. When checking out, we got Cray, I mean Shay again. She acted like we were bothering her from texting in her front office cave, and begrudgingly helped us check out. No smiles, no thank yous, no 'how was your stay', just unfriendly. When We asked for clarification on my receipt of charges, She huffed and puffed, and still didn't explain it well, saying "I'm not sure what you're not understanding". The receipt says my VISA Card * ($63.81) in the CREDIT column of the receipt, Balance $0. They charge you $200 when you walk in the door, so why am I only getting back $63.81? I didn't spend $136.19 .. Back and forth for about 1 minute with Shay trying to get clarification, and Shes getting more upset. I invited my Wife over to see if she can understand what the charges are, and my wife isn't understanding Shay either. I have a Finance Degree and 12 years of Banking experience... I'm not new to bank or credit card charges, Shay was not explaining it well. After I had to dumb it down for her and explain the math, she finally clarified it was a charge total, not a refund total, even though it's showed in the credit column on the receipt. She mumbled profanities under her breath and when I asked her for a card, she retreated to her cave and said she's no longer helping me.. I STAYED Here.. I'm a GUEST who dropped over $700, and this is how you treat your guests? Nobody else was there at 6AM to assist. Real professional SHAY. Next time we travel to Legoland or to visit family in the area, we won't be staying here.

Yelp
SUPER CUTE, great location! We came for the weekend to enjoy the Flower Fields (3/2023). So if you are in the Flower Fields and you look up, you will see this hotel....which also means if you are lucky enough, you can get a room that over looks the Flower Fields too. BUT even if you don't have that view, you could take a very short walk along the pathway and see the Flower Fields below you. This property is connected to the HGVC property. So there is a kids arcade, play area and multiple pools and spas. VERY close to Legoland and the outlets.

Yelp
It is a beautiful hotel that I have stayed at 3 times now. It has an ocean view and easy access to the flower fields and Lego Land. The pool is heated so you can go for a swim all year long. Beautiful sunsets from the pool area and a nice bar. My only comment is "why not a restaurant on the premises?" There are places around and there is a brewery in the same parking lot, but not a restaurant in the hotel.

Sterling C.

Yelp
I wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude for the incredible job this hotel did in hosting our wedding party. From start to finish, our experience was nothing short of exceptional. Your staff was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure that everything ran smoothly. The accommodations were perfect, and our guests couldn't stop raving about the comfort and quality of their stay. Thank you once again for making our special day truly unforgettable. We couldn't have asked for a better hotel to work with. Huge shoutout to Jenna!!! She helped us from start to finish!! We look forward to returning to the Cassara Hotel for future.

Yelp
Great people, very helpful and kind. Spectacular views, nice pool and hot tub. Right next to Legoland resort so great for getting there and not paying the outrageous Legoland resort charges. Dining options are solid. Overall a very fine hotel would happily stay here again.

Yelp
Location to legoland is probably the best feature. Can walk through pedestrian gate across the streeet without paying for parking. Pools are nice but no drink or food service. There is one restaurant/ lobby bar that are nice for the convenience but service is super slow unless you are just getting a drink. Views from main pool are nice. Overall clean and nice. Gym facilities were nice. Splash pad at pool for kids was a nice addition. We had a one bedroom non timeshare so no kitchen. It was nice and convenient for traveling with children. We also brought our dog - resort was easy and accommodating for this - fees not too expensive. Easy parking. Cons are the beds are way too soft. Couch in our room was so very obviously worn and dirty. Would consider coming back but probably try somewhere else for a more resort type experience

Yelp
Great location to everything North County. 3rd Floor Garden View was nice (not as much freeway noise) Lap Pool, jacuzzi and cabanas are nice for adult and firepits for gathering around the property are welcome amenities especially in the evening fog. Good. Would do it again. The staff is nice and accommodating. Clean, gym and sauna are in good condition. Nice walking trail and through the industrial park. Quiet. (the traffic when legoland lets out isn't too bad.

Yelp
This is for food and service at restaurant: People working there are rude and uninterested in serving you. Food is meh and overpriced. They seem annoyed you are there. Such a nice location and setting but ughhh.

Yelp
my family and I felt extremely unwelcomed and uncomfortable due to the behavior of front staff individual named Jaci Ashman. We are very aware of check in policy hours, however, we decided to inquire about checking in early since in the area. We arrived very early around 8am. As soon as I stated our request we were immediately shut down with a hard no from Jaci. She lacked empathy and politeness. We walked away feeling shamed for even inquiring to check in early. A few moments later, I called front office to speaker to manager about my requests (and Jaci) was placed on the phone making her same statement. Again, no apology. I hung up. At this point, we did not want to return back to a facility where we are clearly not wanted. Unfortunately, we returned only because we did not want to pay cancellation fees. The interaction with Jaci Ashman lacked the warmth and professionalism I expected, which significantly impacted my first impression. Unfortunately, we will not be back.

Yelp
Sisters trip! Staycation! S E R V I C E We checked in with Ronaldo and he was fantastic! So friendly (considering it was the end of his shift at 10PM when we checked in), but he took his time summarizing their offerings and amenities. He provided a list of their local activities and recommended some of their services. Customer service was A+! L O C A T I O N We stayed in one of their suites which was right next to Karl Strauss. Their suite was spacious and consisted of a king and 2 twin beds. The twin beds are in their own room off of the front door. The suite has 3 TVs (one in each room), including one in front of the couch in the walkway. It's seriously the nicest suite I've ever stayed in and we enjoyed our stay immensely!

Yelp
Such a pretty place to stay. Rooms were nice and roomy and very clean. Bathroom lighting isn't the best, could hear construction in the morning. But overall was a nice place to stay. Front desk was very accommodating also.

Yelp
We really enjoyed our stay at Cassara. Our suite had ample space for 3 adults and a child. Only con of our room is that the view sucked - might have been nice if the flowers were in bloom? Not sure exactly where we were situated but there was literally nothing to look at. The hotel lobby is really beautiful. The concierge was really friendly. We were given vouchers to use at their restaurant and had a nice breakfast there. The hotel also has a nice splash pad and playground for littles. I'd say the playground is more for age 5 and under. There is also a small arcade on the premises. The hotel was nice and clean. The primary reason we stayed here was due to the walking path to Legoland. It wasn't as "private" as I would have liked - you just walk out onto the street and cross over to the Legoland parking lot. However, it saved us a drive and that I do greatly appreciate - as well as Legoland parking price! Would definitely recommend and come again if we were to visit Legoland. Hotel is also pet friendly!

Yelp
Bottom Line: Stylish and comfortable hotel that is convenient to Carlsbad sites and restaurants. I recently decided to switch up my Carlsbad hotel routine and try something new - The Cassara. As a business travel I'm mostly looking for a quiet place to sleep that has convenient parking and Cassara fits that criteria. The rooms are comfortable and stylish with fun bold prints. I like that the parking lot is located below the hotel and it is quick to get from and to my room and car. I would describe the hotel noise as average for Carlsbad which means an occasional gaggle of kids running the hallways. Speaking of kids, I can see this hotel being a big hit with families because of its proximity to Legoland. Also, there are two pools on the property and plenty of fast casual dining within a short distance. The beach is also close by but probabaly best to drive their from the hotel since you have to cross busy on and off ramps for I-5. Hotels are a little tricky for me to rate because there is a direct correlation between my rating and the price I paid.  But rates can vastly differ depending on the time of the year, day of the week and special events.  I feel like the corporate rate I paid was a fair price for the accommodations. I plan to try this hotel a few more times this year and on my next visit I hope to get to the gym and breakfast.

Yelp
Was here for a week with my husband and his dog for a work trip. The view from the pool Was amazing! The room was so comfortable, minor check in issue but was resolved very quickly, Which was appreciated after a long travel day. Had the burger by the pool one day and it was so good. I wasn't expecting amazing for pool food but it was giant and very tasty, better than most burgers I've had. We don't have kids, but it was fun to hear them playing by the pool and enjoying themselves in the family area. Tons of activities for the little ones and a great place for families. Very peaceful and quiet, in the adult pool you wouldn't even know they had a fun little kid zone right around the corner. Overall we had a great time and would definitely stay again. If you have small kids they would love this hotel!

Yelp
We booked a room for daughters b day a day earlier , the woman on the phone seem very nice and incentive , we asked for a early check in and she guaranteed it. And found out it wasn't available once we arrived. Then while waiting in the self parking seeing the cleaners continously going to their car to drink a bottle of jack daniels while we were waiting til 3 pm for a room. Finally got a room later that night with no microwave, no ice bucket , and a iron that burned my dixxon shirt. A hour waiting still haven't recieved a microwave or ice bucket. please rethink spending money at this hotel.

Yelp
Disappointed. The space is okay. The view was nice. The bartenders were very lovely. The actual room was decent but ask for the side with a view. I ended up leaving a pair of really nice sandals behind, checked out at 9a, called them by the evening. The front desk told me to go online to fill out a form. It was frustrating because I understand that it's a big chain but I had to call three times (in three days) to try and hunt down my missing item. I was told they would call me back for an update and finally after four days I called again and was told "the shoes were not located". Seriously? I was super communicative and for my item to disappear after hours of me calling was not cool. The front desk was super unhelpful and kept pushing me to their site instead of being more active and connecting with house keeping. I felt as if they didn't want to go that extra step to do what they are paid to do. It's so frustrating to feel like now people just rely on NOT pushing human contact and lazily pushing us to a link to an email address instead of helping out, is a joke. These are the moments when they should try harder. I won't be back here again.

Yelp
It saddens me to say this but this used to be our favorite hotel in Carlsbad - nice staff, best sleep arrangement with kids, and kids club! But this last stay the room was not ready until 7:40 PM when check in is at 4 PM. We inquired at 4:20 by phone and they said they will text us when it's ready and it should be soon. Nope, it took over 3 and a half hours. Tough when you are traveling with 2 young kids. They gave us free parking - how is that going to help? Maybe there's been a change in management?

Yelp
Great stay, nice hotel. Really enjoyed quiet pool. Room was large, convenient parking garage.

Yelp
0 stars Charged without authorization our card , told us to go downstairs with our card otherwise they couldn't do anything for us... ruined first night In the morning, they gave us vouchers for breakfast that we paid for , we had no idea where to go and what to do with it . Management has no clue what is going on in the hotel. Also there isn't a real management, just a supervisor. I Will be contacting the bank to cancel my transaction that I made when I paid for it. Would never in a million years booked if I knew. Absolute worst place to stay , it was close to Legoland that's why we picked it. Don't stay there.

Yelp
Great location and property. However, for the Price it seems like the property is more than just short staffed. Would not go back for the Price paid because of the sub par service and areas of neglect

Yelp
Clean rooms, excellent service, great views. Right next to Karl Strauss brewery and LegoLand. Runner friendly paths

Yelp
Great front desk service. Great location, so close to Legoland and also the pub right next to it was very convenient

Yelp
Great Location. Courteous and helpful staff. Nice rooms and amenities. LOUD Lobby when busy. Careful, Tricky charges. Urban destination fees ($25) apply daily but are waived if you make a restaurant or bar purchase in house ONLY if they are 24hrs apart! It is not a per day waiver. So if you check in on time or later and buy dinner or drinks that evening and then have breakfast the following morning, only one will apply because it's within 24hrs and you're on the hook to pay the $25 fee! This works only if you waited until after the time of the previous evenings charge.

Yelp
Definitely would never come here again as just a couple. LOTS of kids. Which is totally ok and not reflective of the 3 star review. The room was nice enough but not impressive. Also as a diamond member is supposed to get a room upgrade but was not offered. The bad- handed key card to our room with no explanation to where to go. The resort is really confusing. We went back twice and the front desk was horrible at explaining where to go. Randomly floor two also has 12s and 22s on the same floor which you'd never know and there is no signage. The breakfast was underwhelming as well. Took a picture of the panini which was two pieces of toast, cheap ham, wet eggs and a square cheese melted on top. Coffee wasn't great either. I'm picky because of staying at so many Hilton properties so a family wanting to stay near Legoland or sea world may have a much better experience because of the great location. The main pool is a little goofy too with it all sectioned off for lap swimming. Usually at a resort lap swimming isn't a priority. This place needs to take notes from the Hilton los Cabos. Yes location is key, but then you need great customer service, a nice breakfast and coffee, and resort pools that make sense.

Yelp
we really enjoyed our stay and Brittany made it really special!! Brittany works at the front desk and when our room was not quite ready, she saw to it that we had complimentary cocktails while we waited. In addition, when she found out it was our 47th wedding anniversary, she delivered ballon's, wine and glasses to our room!!! She went above and beyond to make our day memorable!!

Yelp
Absolutely the Best! Clean thru out the hotel. Pleasant and informed staff from the kitchen to the front desk. I would recommend this property full on!

Yelp
Great place to stay! Convenient location with lots of options of where to eat or what to do. Front desk staff was friendly . This was a quick business trip but my wife and I plan to go back to enjoy some leisure time.

Yelp
Hotel was nice for an amusement park hotel. Walking distance to Legoland. Rooms were comfortable. The hotel just seemed like it needed a good cleaning all over. Pools were nice but again really worn and dirty looking marks around kids splash pool area. Biggest failure is the restaurant. They charge you 25.00 per night destination fee but give you 25.00 to spend at restaurant but the food, if you can get it, it not edible. Better options in the area for the money.

Yelp
We found our stay absolutely relaxing and enjoyable. The staff was great. Housekeeping did not. Seems to be easy to contact from the front desk and it was frustrating to not get info on when our room would be done.

Yelp
Clean and nice room. Friendly and helpful staff. It's so great to have a garage packing. I'm just a little confused about two hotels at the same location. There is no price list on the hotel marketplace, I don't know how much it charges until I check out and get the invoice.

Yelp
What a gem of a hotel. We came for a staycation to see the Carlsbad Flower Fields. The Cassara is right on top of it, you get an amazing view of the flowers from the pool area. Beautiful grounds with grassy areas and gardens and a stunning huge pool (good for laps) and jacuzzi. Luxury! And a super quick drive down the hill to visit the Flower Fields. Loved our room and that it had a balcony!
