Super comfortable seats, lovely aesthetic in the auditorium. Sound quality is top-notch. Friendly staff and decent selection of food and drinks at the bar. Everything is also reasonably priced . I attended the pitch black album listening party experience which was surreal. Definitely the definitive way to experience an album. The crisp audio allows you to be immersed in the instrumentation and vocal Performance while you sit in awe blindfolded embracing the reverberation of the booming surround sound. Highly recommend .

Amazing! The cafe outside is terrific, the hall has sofas and the screen is good. Saw a 16mm copy of Pierrot le fou and it was a special experience. Highly recommended!

Independent cinema with a community feel. There’s plenty of space to work from/have a chat, if not watching a movie. The offer annual membership which includes discounted movie tickets, two free tickets a year and discount on food and drinks. The guys working are super friendly and enthusiastic. There’s steps to enter and a buzzer - staff help parents with buggies enter and exit the cinema (there were lots of babies for a child screening on day I visited). What a gem! I loved this cinema and the sweet and salty popcorn. I'll definitely be coming back. The staff were so friendly and helpful, and the seats were really comfortable.

Amazing gem, really can't find enough fantastic words to say about the place, the people and my experience! The entrance is actually next to the building and up some stairs, the grocery store under was very helpful in directing me. Super welcoming bar/restaurant atmosphere, with smiling, friendly staff to take care of you. Plenty of food and drink options, including half and half salty/sweet popcorn. The music while waiting was a fabulous selection as well. The theater itself is small and comfortable, great sound and picture quality. But even better than all that was their advertising of local businesses and the fact that they provide a day for people with dementia to enjoy as well. Truly touched my heart.

Castle is my favourite local cinema. It has two screens—one larger, one smaller—but both feel intimate and inviting. I especially love the armchair-style seating in Screen 1, which is cosy, comfortable, and perfect for sinking into a film. The programme focuses mostly on mainstream new releases, though they also include some alternative offerings like Jellied Reels and Cine-Real (16mm). I do wish they showcased more niche films, foreign-language titles, and curated thematic strands, as that would make the line-up more exciting. The café-bar is a beautiful, welcoming space. They host a food residency, serve fresh pastries, and stock all the classic cinema snacks—including the best sweet popcorn I’ve ever had. The staff are always lovely and friendly, and the facilities are kept clean and well maintained.

Love this little Cinema, 2x screens and usually shows the latest films. The bar area is great, worth a visit even if you don't watch a film.

What a brilliant place and I most certainly will be back. Quite unique and wonderful. Not only is there a friendly community feel but it is also such a comfortable, treat experience too. The staff are friendly and positive. Everything is fairly priced, and the cinema experience is really comfortable, unlike some well-known chains- The Castle Cinema is not to be missed.

Delighted to have found this little gem! The space is gorgeous and really well appointed to give an intimate, calm, luxurious feel. Great sound, exceptionally comfy armchairs and good range of films. The bar is great, too - and although the food is just fast food (mainly burgers), they are excellently done. We very rarely eat this kind of food but we loved it. Ingredients tasted fresh, fries are dusted with morish salty smoked paprika (I think) and the tempura broccoli with pomegranate and soy dressing was a revelation! (I don't think it counts as a vegetable anymore but delicious nonetheless!) The team were super friendly and perfectly efficient even though they are still finding their feet.. Love that you can take drinks into the screening - just wish people would pick up after themselves! We are so lucky to have an independent cinema like this in the neighbourhood - come and support them! We will definitely be back - I bought a membership on our first visit :)
