Visited with my daughter for 1 night. Advertised as shared toilet but with shower, both are outside and very far from the tents, toilets are clean and so in the tent and bed. Shower is outside, exposed but with warm water. "pool" is more like a bath tub... It's also far from the center whivh is quiet but a 10 min drive to store/restaurants etc.. Price is ridiculously high for a tent with no toilet or shower handy, after siscount on booking 150$...on their site even more... for this price there are lots of options in town for a room with private bath and toilet. It's can be a nice experience, not worth more than 60$ though. Owner is very nice, and answers quickly, it's mostly a self service arriving and checking in. Won't go again, especially for this price and it's a long walk to the toilets, in the middle of the night, not a pleasant endeavor.

Stayed there for one night and we were very uncomfortable being the only occupied tent in the campground - i feel like the owners should have let us know that we'd be the only ones in the campground and we'd probably alter our plans. >In was very cold 40F at night and tent was extremely cold - the propane was extra unfortunately they only service propane until 9:30pm. I had to scavenge other empty tents for a propane tank - feels like they owners should have reached out and offer a propane tank and at least advise ahead of time that it will be in low 40's and propane is highly recommended during our stay. > Didnt try to take a shower, but im certain it would be hopeless.

Literally a Castle Estate and I love it! Great vibes and well kept with amazing people. Sunsets are the best for my wife and I. A perfect place to reflect and getaway!. This is the perfect place to unplug and unwind. We’ll definitely be back for another special event

This place was an awesome stay for my very first time to Joshua Tree. I stayed in the Container one bedroom home for valentines weekend.and it was impressive. The property is very well maintained, private parking with a beautiful atmosphere. Not to mention the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Couldn’t recommend enough.

Good place with awesome helpful staff ! Good ambiance, tent ⛺️ is spacious and heater was a must for a family. The container was clean with colorful lights! Bed 🛏️ was a soft mattress. Missing toilets 🚽 for the tents and car parking to far in getting the luggage to the tent. Amenities are separate extras costs ! Can be A Great place! ⭐️ STars gazing skyline 🌃 was amazing , made it special! Joshua tree NP amazing unique place

We stayed at Tower 2, and unfortunately, our experience was disappointing. The pictures on Booking.com can be misleading, as the main photos show an indoor bathroom and shower. When we made the reservation, it was listed as "One bedroom, one bathroom, and Sauna." However, neither the tents nor the towers have a bathroom or shower. Instead, you have to walk about 300 steps to access the nearest facilities. There is only one outdoor shower on the property, and I can’t imagine how it would accommodate guests during the busy season, as it would need to be shared by at least two dozen people. It was quite uncomfortable having to wake up in the middle of the night and walk a couple of minutes to the only mobile bathroom available. Additionally, this place does not seem suitable for winter. We had to shower outdoors in 30-degree weather, which was extremely unpleasant. To make matters worse, the shower stopped working while we were waiting in the cold. Thankfully, a staff member came to fix it, but standing outside in freezing temperatures was far from ideal. The bedroom was not very clean, either. We found hairs under the sheets and a lot of dirt under the bed (see pictures). Also, the Booking.com pictures show what appears to be a hot tub, but it’s actually a pool with frigid water. Every advertised amenity has an additional charge, and many areas have unfriendly "reserved" signs that make you feel unwelcome. Given the high cost of this property and the lack of comfort, cleanliness, and functionality, we were very disappointed. This experience fell far short of what we would consider "glamping," and we left feeling uncomfortable and dissatisfied.

The Castle House Estate was the best choice for our executive offsite. Everything was so beautiful (10/10 design(, plentiful, and every detail has been considered. The accommodation options are vast - something for everyone and so comfortable. Ryan and his team looked after us from start to finish - not only are they super capable but they are so personable - friends for life. Do not hesitate to book here - we cannot wait to return!

Castle House is an awesome spot. It's just the right amount of quirky to be fun and memorable. Ryan is an incredible host and the location is great if you plan to spend time exploring Joshua Tree. Thanks again, Ryan!

Yelp
We booked this place and we had never stayed at a yurtourselves. We arrived after following directions. We did arrive later than we planned, it was nightime arrival. It's a nicely gated place. It's clean and we liked that. The parking is way in the back corner so be prepared to carry your stuff. Depending on where you are in the place is how far you are from your car. There is only one bathroom so be aware of that. The pool was dark and not heated for November stays which was sad. No hot tub either. Also there is an extra charge of 45 dollars for a heater which was very disappointing. After paying 150 for a basic yurt, a heater would have been nice to have been included or at a minimal cost. All firewood is a separate charge also. So after paying for a heater we didn't really know how to work it at the time. The night was cold out of the blankets and by morning we finally figured out how to turn up the heat. So our stay wasn't as enjoyable as it could have been. The host is very friendly, I must say that. But please take these comments into consideration and plan ahead, or be ready to pay. So I suggest planning ahead.

Yelp
WOW WOW WOW! I cannot say enough amazing things about this place. We originally booked two yurts not realizing that it would be 106 degrees when we arrived with the kids. The manager Scott quickly came over and suggested we moved to one of the houses to be more comfortable, which we gladly agreed to. The home was SO beautifully decorated, complete with everything you might need to be comfortable, spacious, and absolutely perfect! The grounds manager was beyond the friendly, helpful and just a nice guy. We ordered room service for breakfast with sandwiches and hash browns, he brought us alcoholic beverages, s'mores for the kids and water. The beds were comfortable and the house smelled so good. We were also able to do laundry while we were there. Espresso maker was great in the morning for a quick cup before hiking. Very relaxing vibe! The soap/shampoo in the showers was great too. We spent time outside under the stars by the fire and had such a wonderful time. We will most definitely be returning in the future!

Yelp
This was the most amazing glamping experience I have ever had. The campgrounds were unique and special and so clean and safe. Everything you could want for a desert vacation

Yelp
We had such a magical trip and stay at the castle house estate! We stayed in the guard tower. We enjoyed their pool, outdoor shower, yummy room service, fire pit, and fell asleep gazing at the stars from the roof of the guard tower. We plan to go back the next time we are in Joshua Tree without a doubt! Highly Recommend !

Yelp
I have waited years to stay here and finally did! I was in contact with the owners when they first built the property for an event space as I am an event planner myself. I finally went and stayed for a weekend and it was everything and more. The option to order drinks and food on-site is a fantastic touch as well as of course the on site event space!!! This is honestly one of the best locations for an event in JT and I can't wait to return.

Yelp
OK, I know this place is a little pricey, but...HOW is it not more popular?! It's Instagram-gold and such a unique experience compared to all the overpriced, turnkey Airbnb's in Joshua Tree. If you're curious to learn more, here's my full review. Where we stayed: Yurt Tent #1 PROS: * The views - The campground itself is STUNNING and very well manicured. Add the serene desert backdrop that Joshua Tree provides, and you have a truly magical, IG-friendly experience. Get your cameras ready! * The yurt - I loved our little yurt. It had everything we needed, including a queen-sized bed with 1600 thread count sheets and carpeted floors to help retain heat. The private fire pit in front of the yurt is much-needed and so romantic. * Check-in - It is super easy, as the property manager and staff show you where your accommodations are as soon as you arrive. *The pool - It's small (max 4 people) but has a charming industrial look. *Covid-travel friendly - It's outdoors, and -- due to the vast amount of space -- you can totally remain socially distant from others for the entirety of your stay. CONS: * Outdoor shower - We went in December, so trekking outside to wash our bodies was less than ideal. * ANTS - I know you can't escape insects when glamping outdoors, but I could have done with fewer ants both inside and outside of our tent. Those fire ants are scary-looking dudes! * The nightly rates are steep, especially for the yurts which will run you $200-$250/night. That's a lot to ask for a glorified glamping experience. If you can afford it, spring for one of the medieval castle-themed guard towers that are typically $350/night. However, if you prioritize a dope experience over saving $$$, you'll love your stay here.

Yelp
I had planned to visit during the Thanksgiving holiday but requested a cancellation. However, despite requesting the cancellation via email and phone, no action has been taken. This site does not seem reliable. I do not recommend.

Yelp
After my dog passed, this was the first stop I made out of San Diego on my journey back to Boston. The campground is well-maintained and very clean. The showers and bathrooms had good ventilation and the outdoor shower was fun. If it's windy the shower is a PIA, but who cares, you're in JT and you got hot water. Kennedy was easy to communicate with and checked in on me throughout the stay. If I ever go back to JT I would stay here for sure!

Yelp
Very cool place to stay at. Stayed at the Grand tower #2, very small place but ideal for a gateway. its basically a 3 levels tower: 1st level: fridge, 2 chairs, coffee maker, 2nd level: bed, 3rd: view, you climb up the ladder, on top there are 2 chairs and can get a pretty good view. We had our own fire pit outside our tower, ended up buying wood a local gas station saved about $5. Great spot to see the stars, and enjoy a great outdoor evening under the stars. seems like the walls have noise cancellation, didn't hear a car pass by or any noise. the restrooms/showers are a little of a walk. The pool is not really pool, its really small and it's a plastic one, like 2 feet deep. their is a cool sauna. Great view, great place. Easy to book/check in/ check out. It's pets are allowed.

Aileenka H.

Yelp
This whole property is beyond gorgeous! I had an amazing time lounging by the cowboy pool and then making a fire and looking at the stars. The staff is so amazingly helpful with check in and finding things on property. At night I ran out of firewood and I texted the number provided and a very nice gentleman brought it over quickly! It's also very close to town and the west park entrance. Would definitely recommend to stay here, amazing experience!

Yelp
Certainly! Here's a 5-star review for The Castle House Estate: The Castle House Estate is a cozy spot where everyone can reconnect and remember how simply elegant life is while bonding under magical stars. Luke and Ryan, my dear friends, pour their heart and soul into this place, reflecting their beautiful vision of simplicity in life. For Luke and Ryan they know the importance of rest as they are all about working hard, playing hard, and understanding the importance of "rest " for themselves and others. Here at The Castle House Estate whether you're alone, a couple, or hosting an event, you'll find clarity amidst the peaceful genius of Mother Nature. Thank you Luke and Ryan, along with their fantastic staff who love this property for consistently hosting stays for national and international clientele who always want to return. It's for sure an unforgettable experience!

Yelp
Warning: This guy is a rip-off. Terrible customer service. I had reserved a campsite for just a few hours. I ended up cancelling just a few hours later. I was charged $609 and got a 50% refund of $272. In the end, I lost $337 for nothing. He told me if I had an issue to go through HipCamp that it was out of his control. I talked to HipCamp and they told me it was Ryan Allen and The Castle House that needed to release the funds as I was asking for a full refund. He was just giving me the runaround . In the end, Ryan was not willing to work with me, but said he empathizes for his customers. I highly recommend NOT to work with this guy. Be sure to check out other reviews for the Castle House Estate and see that this guy has many complaints about his bad services as a host.

Julie F.

Yelp
This place looked beautiful. In November I was told to hurry up and book or it'd sell out. Was ripped off at a rate twice what I could've gotten in March but drove up with my three kids who said they felt unsafe and sick by the smell. While they could hardly be called amenities, the "amenities" did not show as promised whatsoever and were not at all what was shown on the website. The person on the phone argued with me, but there are no people on site. Do your research before visiting this property. My family left immediately and only got 50% of our money back despite deserving a full refund for false advertising. As a single mom of three with no paid vacation, thus was a major setback.

Yelp
Avoid at all costs!!! We got there 1 hr and 30 minutes before check-in time and called to ask if we could check in now but this guy Ryan (in charge of the property) said "he didn't understand what we were asking" and that "there were workers cleaning at the moment". However, HE WAS LYING because we were in front of the house and no one was there. We then asked what the protocol was and what we'd do if we arrive early. He sarcastically asked "if we've ever checked in to a hotel before". Like wtf was that customer service? He then proceeded to approach our car and have a shouting match saying how he was uncomfortable having us stay there. Idk if he was being racist (cause we're Asian) or he was just flat out being rude/high on drugs. We ended up cancelling our booking. It is so sad how this guy just lost out $300 on a one-night stay due to him being socially inept. We came there to pay you because we wanted to utilize your services (renting out the bungalow). I was looking forward to this but BEWARE. We definitely dodged a bullet. He proudly confirmed that this was the way he treated customers by shouting and giving attitude. 0 out of 10 in hospitality. Oh and if you go check out other reviews on Booking.com, he mockingly replies back to other negative reviews like the unprofessional "business owner" he is.

Yelp
Failed to do provide the correct amount of beds and left some of us to sleep on the floor. Ignored email asking for compensation, overall poorly ran.

Yelp
What a beautiful hip camp to stay at! My husband planned this weekend getaway at the oasis feel spot in the desert! It's a gated spot, you will be given the gate code to enter. We arrived during daylight and found it to be beautiful, but in the evening it has a different vibe, somewhat magical because of the colorful lights that light up the palms and building and the stars that light up the sky. The campsites are spaced out pretty well. Hubby selected site #1 which was in the corner of the property. We have our teardrop trailer so this spot was perfect for us. This spot had a permanent covered (pergola) seating (2 chairs) area. Also a brick fire pit with a flat grate. I think strong enough to put a coffee pot or pan on. The entire grounds of this property is sand on firm ground. So it's not like your walking on the beach. At this time, there is a very nice portal potty on the entrance side. So if you have to get up in the middle of the night prepare to walk a bit unless you book a spot near by. Next to the potty is a separate building which is a sauna! It's a cozy size, and I can't tell you how was it because unfortunately didn't get the chance to use it. There are two areas for showering. One is clearly open and the other has privacy walls. Both were outdoors, which we did not use because it was quite cold. There are two turrets sites at the entrance, I think 4 bell tents, two or three tiny home sites and at least 2 or 3 open camping space sites to reserve. I asked to look in the one bell tent as it was being cleaned and it was quite spacious. It look like it had a portable space heater. They have an event building, and an empty, outdoor, meditation room. This spot was great for star gazing! It was cold at the time of our visit, but didn't stop us from star gazing at night. I would love to come back and enjoy some comfortable weather.

Yelp
We stayed this past weekend at the castle house estate. It was affordable and close to the national park. they had room service which was a nice perk, but we had brought our own food so did not utilize. the room had a AC/heat unit which was great for below freezing temps we had this weekend. it had super fast wifi and great views of the stars. ***I am writing this review mostly in hopes they see this and I can give some ideas/feedback so it's more functional and less instagrammable. *** We stayed in the shipping container (without the pool) really cute from the outside and very aesthetic on the inside. My comments: 1. the room is tight width wise, which is why there is a full mattress instead of a queen. However, knowing that, why do you choose a bed frame with a 3.5" perimeter all the way around? we could barely walk on the sides by side stepping. Please maybe substitute for something with less width. 2. no mirror, maybe even having a small counter one in the drawers would be nice 3. WHY IS THERE A GIANT UNMOVABLE ROCK AT THE FOOT OF THE BED???? We can barely get around the side, but now the foot too? Yes we did stub our toes. please keep the rocks outside this isn't aesthetic this is inconvenient on all levels. 4. the bed was way too soft, which if you have back things like me. it makes it hard to get more than 2 hrs of sleep 5. too many throw pillows, not enough space to put the pillows. 4/5 stars because of the sleeping arrangement issues.

Yelp
We had the best time at the Castle House Estate. Big thank you and hugs to Ryan and Luke for making the experience magic. We rented campsite #2 and #3 with another family for a more camping experience. Four adults and 6 kids. Grandma arrived for the 2nd night and rented the super cool converted container. All the fabulous amenities private bathroom and shower, tv, microwave, NESPRESSO, roof top deck. Looks like something from architectural digest. Castle House Estate has found the perfect intersection between honoring the natural landscape around the property and feeling like you're in a 5-star boutique resort. Every time we walked to the bathroom, we just marveled at the touches of class. Each light fixture, the harmon/kardon speakers in the ballroom, the sauna, the room service, etc. The kids also had a great time running around and play tag and football in all the open space. The sunsets and sunrises were just gorgeous.

Sarah P.

Yelp
Our family of 5 stayed in 2 yurts and had an amazing experience!! The property is so beautiful and unique. We got to watch a beautiful moonrise and stargaze each night. The desert/boho vibe was just what we were looking for! The hosts are very nice, responsive and attentive too! Definitely recommend experiencing this place.

Yelp
Communicating with Ryan and Luke was exceptional. Checking in was easy. Luke gave us the tour of the Estate and showed us where our tower was located. Tower 1 is on the right if you are facing it from the Main Street driving in to the Estate. The Tower itself is super quaint with a refrigerator on the main floor. Mid Level is equipped with a comfy Full Size Bed, Television, and side table. Roof Top is accessible thru a built in ladder against the wall and steel door. I was fortunate I went with my BF so he was able to open the steel door. Had it only been myself traveling, I would not have been able to open it. Trust me, I tried and I have no upper body strength. Let alone been able to push open the door while I'm balancing on pipe bars. I'm delicate yo. The Pool is smaller than expected. So maximum amount of bodies fitting comfortably would be 3. The dust and dirt walking to and from the pool makes it close to impossible not to trek dirt/sand in the pool a SUPER challenging feat. Outdoor Shower did the job!! The shower pressure and temperature was great. The opening is faced away from the pool so it's fairly private. The bathroom situation is not ideal for most people as it is a portable enclosed restroom. BUT it is definitely a whole lot better than a portable pottie. I would suggest the owners of the Estate to add a candle to help with the odor. I know, I know. I just have a very sensitive olfactory preference and I'm a Bougie Ass Bitch. :) A complete surprise: is the Sauna! We booked a session which goes for $15 for an 1.5 hr. They supplied cute Turkish Bath Towels, Bottle Water, and a shot of juice. Camp Fire Pit: Just outside out Tower and very convenient for an adult camping experience. The Views: were ABSOLUTELY breathtaking. Completely worth it in itself. If you are a picture taking Instagram Stories Whore, you will nut in your pants. Overall, we loved our stay here and do plan on coming back with a group of people. Hey, maybe plan a skating party at their large rec room that they have located on the property. If they add a space for a spa. It will be *chef's kiss* perfection. Very special unique experience that is definitely worth exploring. Perfect for social distancing and spending some romantic quality time with a lover.

JR T.

Yelp
Definitely the ultimate glamping experience! I had such a great time that I thought of proposing to my girlfriend here. Which didn't happen coz we've only been dating for 3 months but you get my point. Lol But I really recommend this place to anyone thinking of a unique glamping experience. We stayed at the guard towers and we will trying out the yurts next time. Please note that this is not a hotel, its a glamping ground. So it's technically a semi-outdoor experience. Ryan and Luke really took care of us and made us feel like home. We will see you again!

Natasha K.

Yelp
We celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary in this romantic setting. 360 views of the mountain sunset. The electric yurt was adorable with plenty of space and comfort. Taking outdoor showers at night was an added bonus. The grounds are pristine. We were looking for a special night and we certainly found it here.

Yelp
My apologies for a late review (life) and I rarely do reviews, but I wanted to give extra love to this place! My husband and I stayed in the Container Home from 21 JAN 09 - 21 JAN 11 as a birthday getaway for me. Ryan's directions to the property and overall directions was precise and clear. We unassumingly met Ryan on the property, and he was friendly & welcoming. He asked if we needed anything, which we reported firewood. Upon finishing unloading our car, there was a bundle of firewood near our fire pit! Ryan was efficient and helpful but also gave us our privacy & space. It was perfect for me! *Also as a note, you can buy firewood from Ryan or you can buy firewood from the local gas station/food marts.* It was an unusually cold weekend during our stay but due to me being a planner, I had checked the weather and made a list of things we potentially may need. I tend to over pack as a just in case scenario, and we ended up NOT using most of their items in the home because I had packed it (also as a cleanliness issue for me due to COVID) *I'm weird & that's just me * Overall, my husband and I loved staying here for my birthday weekend! 10/10 would recommend and can't wait to come back again! We loved their property! Lastly to reiterate, we stayed in the container home that was a home in essence & for privacy reasons (we chose the container home for that purpose) but there are other spaces within the property as well. This property is a GLAMPING experience so do keep that in mind, when booking and make sure to fully read the description if you're looking for something in particular. (Ryan's descriptions of the property is spot on). During our stay, we had some neighbors who were spread out in their respective space (air stream, yurt, etc.) Everyone was respectful of their own noise and area. No complaints on our end, just out here vibing! Thanks for a great birthday weekend!

Yonnie C.

Yelp
Stayed in a yurt for 1 night to check out Perseid Meteor shower. Good visibility at night with clear skies. We arrived 9:50 pm and left by 5 am, so barely stayed 7 hours. Saw at least 16 meteors streak across the sky, husband saw 16+! Glad we made the 2+ hours drive to get here but it was rather pricey for just a simple tent. We got the last bed available at this venue, for our impromptu night time visit! Fun times.

Yelp
I was recommended to Castle House by friends who had visited before. I wanted to celebrate my birthday in a space where we could play music, roller skate, and get a camping experience in Joshua Tree. From what's listed on the website and the shared stories from friends, Castle seemed like the perfect place to host my party. I booked two campsites for two days, a month in advance and I had inquired about booking the skating rink as well. Not even a day before our reservation I was emailed about how the skating rink is under construction and will require "some clean-up". We were not sent any photos of the state of the rink and on arrival we toured to the space only for it to be completely ripped up and not worthy of renting in the slightest. Ryan mentioned a wedding was to be held there the following week and that is why the construction started. Honestly to be alerted of this situation a day before my trip was absolutely rude and inconsiderate of my plans as a guest. I had friends drive hours from LA and Orange County only to arrive to a mess of a party. The website is misleading in the sense of available amenities as well as spacial distance between the other campsites. We had reserved a generator in town and when brought up to Ryan he offered their generator for us to use. He did not once mention it being a rental and considering the inconvenience of the skating rink not being ready for us, we figured it was a kind gesture to our party. Later we discovered we had been charged to use the generator. We were warned day-of-arrival of the 10pm quiet-time ordinance for the area and felt the pressure to keep the volume of our music and the voices of 15 people down later into the night, as there were families with children and infants sleeping directly across from both of our campsites. On the website it is said to have a bathroom at each campsite. There was only one trailer at the front of the estate for all guests to share. The walk from our campsites to the front was considerably long in distance. Due to the disappointment of the estate, we asked if we could be refunded for the following day as we lucked out on an Airbnb booking last minute during Labor Day weekend. We were partially refunded almost a month later and pretty sure still charged for the generator. There was an attitude of manipulation towards our group about the rink and the wedding. As though I was to be sympathetic and understanding of the fact that they lucked out on a huge booking of their property, while being new parents to triplet babies and pretty much letting us know that we can't be a disturbance to the other guests, us, a party of 15 adults. I wouldn't recommend.

Yelp
Great experience! If you are looking for a getaway from your busy life and do something different, that`s definitely the place! It`s a more glamorous camping experience that gives you all you look for when camping. Also great coffee!

Bad A.

Yelp
Poor customer service, no one replies emails. Despite many attempts to call them , no one answers the phone. After leaving messages, no one replies. The price is very high and this hotel is not located in a good area.

Jake V.

Yelp
I've never been to Joshua Tree prior to my first visit about a month ago with some of my burner friends. We booked the dance hall (complete with a roller rink and disco ball) and managed to have THE most fun dancing about with my friends. And then two weeks later I came again for another friends birthday and managed to do a hiking trail about 20 minutes away. The castle estate is great for a fun camping trip with friends and plenty of extra curriculars. The camp has a heated shower, cool watering hole, and bathrooms on both ends of the estate. Great for adult activities and campfires.

Terri W.

Yelp
We stayed in the bungalow. So comfortable... home away from home feel. Scott made sure our stay was as pleasant as possible.

Karla G.

Yelp
Perfect weekend get away, super clean and beautiful views. Definitely a place to go to if you like stargazing! Shower is outdoors which is such a fun experience to have lol. They answer all your questions via email very fast, and even have small room service menu which I thought was nice. Will definitely be coming back!

Yelp
Had a little romantic getaway with my boo here and it was absolutely stunning. When we arrived we were a little confused, but got ahold of the host who was more than happy to help! We stayed in the yurt . It was super cute but keep in mind it was kinda pricey, I wish it included the charging stations and portable heater! Cause holy poop it was the coldest two nights I've ever experienced!! Obviously not the host fault we were just ill prepared for that type of weather. So if you plan on coming during the winter months BRING EXTRA BLANKETS AND 30$ for heater and charging port. the stay is WORTH THE MONEY :) BEWARE the bathrooms are also kinda far from the yurts also pray they add another closer to the yurts cause who ever saw me sprint to the bathroom in the middle night freezing my butt off must of had a good laugh my last critique would be can you guys add a couple more trash cans around the property :) we do plan on coming back for the container home or the guard towers they seem so neat too! FOR RYAN: MY BOYFRIEND AND I BOTH AGREE THAT LUKE IS A VERY BEAUTIFUL LOOKING MAN ahah! Overall 9/10 from us The negative review of the chick playing victim cause adults are having s*x needs to grow up lmaoooo -10/10 for Michelle in the review section

Yelp
I just spent the weekend with 2 other families to celebrate a milestone birthday. We rented a variety of what they offer; The Container Home, the Shasta Trailer, a Gaurd tower, and two yurts. Ryan, one of the owners, is so lovely and was available whenever we needed anything. It happened to be really cold that weekend, so Ryan dropped off heated blankets for the container home and the Shasta trailer for us. Propane heaters are available for a small fee for the yurts and are worth it if you get chilly. The wood-fired sauna is an absolute must, and before using it, Ryan brought us sparkling water, towels, and the most insanely delicious smoothies! I think this property really has a perfect combo of glamping and an air B & B experience, depending on your needs. The Container house (which we stayed in) is a perfect little apartment with a shower, kitchen, and flat-screen TV (way fancier than glamping!) Our daughters stayed in the Shasta trailer; there is no bathroom, but it is SO retro cute, and they loved it (there is a kitchenette, though, and electrical ). If you are in the yurts, there are two bathrooms available (on the property, not inside the yurts..) and an outdoor heated shower..The Ballroom/Roller ink is still under construction, but when it is done, I'm coming back!

Yelp
The entire booking and check-in process was smooth from start to finish. Ryan is ready to accommodate you in any way. He proactively communicates everything you need to know prior to your stay so all you have to do is show up and enjoy. I stayed in one of the cozy (yet surprisingly spacious) yurts and slept like a baby. Yes, it's windy at night and can get cold but the bed is warm and I made to sure wear comfy clothing. 10/10 for stargazing. The Castle House Estate met all my expectations. I'm so glad I stayed there and would recommend it to anyone looking for a truly unique "glamping" experience.

Yelp
The best "glamping" experience I've ever had. Came here for a romantic getaway. Im not a person who likes camping and I had such an amazing time. We stayed in the Jupe "Cyber Tent". The inside was so beautiful and our bed was very comfortable. There was room to store our belongings under the floor which was really convenient. We were even provided a key to lock up our valuables in one the the storage areas. There was a fire pit with two chairs located right outside of our unit. We spent a lot of our time by the fire, looking at the stars. I highly recommend renting one of their heaters because it gets cold in the desert at night. The tent looked so pretty at night with all of the led lights. It was right outside of the main campsite, which was very private. The campsite was very clean and we loved that it was quiet after 10pm. The main campsite is a true work of art. We we able to tour the guard tower which was super cool. (will be renting this next time). Staff members were friendly and the owners were communicative and responded quickly. Room service was available until midnight which was also a huge plus. We were able to order firewood late at night. The sunset and the stars were unforgettable. The whole experience was truly magical. We will definitely be returning.

Yelp
Fell in love with this beautiful place! Such a unique venue to unwind and disconnect from everyone lol. Thank you for having a pet-friendly venue, this was a treat for our dog, Helix as well. We'll be back summer for sure.

Yelp
Not a Karen, 24 year old kid who got ripped off Absolutely horrendous stay. The pictures do not begin to do justice to just how terrible this place is. My girlfriend and I booked a Valentine's Day vacation there only to arrive to a dilapidated site with half of the tents blown down. The pictures are a total falsity. In the middle of the site is the owners house, which is getting fully renovated. There was trash everywhere, piles of cement and loud work being done. Not once did it mention on his website that there were renovations, but for $400 you would think the host would at least say something right? Wrong. Not only that, but there were two couples fully crying in their cars next to us based on the state of the site. When asked to refund us the money, the host ignored my emails and when I finally called him he said, "Does Disneyland list all of their renovations? I'm not giving you your money back." As if his crappy tent site even compares to Disneyland. For the price we were paying, we could have went to both Disneyland and California adventure. Do whatever you want, but would suggest never giving this man a dime to rip you off. Best of luck if you go, but you'll be disappointed. Update: Ryan, the "amazing host", has ignored my calls, Glamping Hubs calls and has yet to return our money for this terrible stay.

Yelp
So, we got an "Electric Yurt" that is advertised with a photo totally lit up at night. The actual extent of light was a tiny lantern and non-working battery-operated votive. There was an extension cord, so I suppose it was "electric" and we could have brought our own lamp. The bed and bedding was nice. The shower is outdoor and open, so no privacy. The bathroom is a trailer with men/women toilet and sink. The "pool" is an 8.5 foot diameter cold tub, oh, and there are lots of bugs and sand in the pool. Granted you are supposed to shower first, so someone obviously didn't follow one of the many rules. The deck is nice, but no chairs are allowed on the deck and it is under construction. The price is way too much for what we got. We had way nicer accommodations at BaseCamp 37 in Kanab and paid less and it included a full kitchen and bathrooms. I would suggest, if you must book here, to come during the day as it is difficult to figure out where you are supposed to go. We got directions but it would be helpful if the yurts were names or labeled visually. The stars are beautiful at night and you can have a fire, but bring your own wood.

Yelp
Stayed here with a friend a few weeks ago in the electric yurt on the property and while it was pricey, it was worth every cent! The property is beautiful and the owner Ryan greeted us almost immediately upon arrival. He was very friendly and very easy to contact. The yurt was super roomy and clean and although there were 4 or 5 other groups on the property, it still seemed very private. Although we didn't use it, we had our own fire pit in front of the yurt which was cool. Even in September it's a little chilly at night. The star gazing at night was UNREAL and we were even able to order late night snacks (fresh baked cookies and freshly popped popcorn) delivered right to our yurt. Sunrise was equally unreal. For being in the middle of the desert, there was never a time during my stay where I felt unsafe. The property is gated and you can only get in with keypad. If you're looking for the glamping experience in Joshua Tree, this is THE place to stay!! Such an amazing place!!

Yelp
The Castle House was such a wonderful place to experience. Definitely one of my husbands and I favorite stops through out our road trip. We booked one of the yurts and enjoyed every part of it. We received instructions early on so we where well informed on what to expect when we arrived. The communication was beyond exceptional, Ryan was always responsive from the minute we arrived to the moment we left Ryan provided the best hospitality we could of hoped for. Besides the out door sauna, pool, beautiful scenery and gorgeous skies; Castle House Estate also offers food, snacks, and drinks. I definitely loved that they offer to rent heaters for the yurt and wood for the fire pit, helped from having to over pack or go out far away to buy anything. We had an amazing time and will definitely go back soon! We hope to try one of the towers next :)

Yelp
My mom and I had a nice, quiet desert (pandemic) getaway at The Castle House Estate! We had everything we needed and then some, and especially enjoyed the sauna and rooftop views of the Container Home we booked. We enjoyed exploring the area over three days, spending a whole day in Joshua Tree National Park. Highly recommend this property - Ryan was always available and quick to respond. Next time, we will stay in the Guard Tower!

Yelp
From tent camping to glamping in a container tiny home this place has it all. Beautiful property with gorgeous views. Feels quiet and secluded yet you are only minutes from the park and the shopping amenities in town! 10/10 would recommend

Yelp
What a wonderful experience! From the moment we booked, we felt welcome! First an email from Ryan, introducing us to Castle House Estates. Then, the day before our arrival, another email with checkin instructions--so easy! My husband and I stayed in Guard Tower 1. So cute and comfy! Espresso machine, wonderful bedding, and that FABULOUS rooftop lounge! Castle House Estates is "glamping" so don't expect every amenity that you'd find in a 5-star hotel, but DO expect to be wow-ed by the beauty of nature and the amazing little touches that this place affords. For us, this was the perfect combination of adventure and quiet get-away. We paired our stay at Castle House Estates with a "star gazing tour" and light hiking at Joshua Tree National Park. I highly recommend!!!!

Yelp
My bf and i booked here for his birthday in 2021 but could not make it due to Covid. The hosts were so flexible in letting us reschedule. We went last weekend and had an amazing time (booked last minute at that). Contactless check in, as well as contactless room service. We stayed in the guard tower 1 and it was modern, cute, and clean. Even my bf took pics and men usually don't care to do that lol The shared bathroom on the property was also clean. We enjoyed the fire pit and looking at the stars (although it was cold lol) but we definitely enjoyed ourselves. The hosts were fabulous and available for whatever was needed. We are going to try to make it an annual baecation.

Yelp
How can I possibly put into words how amazing my stay was at The Castle House Estate? We felt like we were on our own private oasis, but with all the luxuries we could have wanted or needed. The owners were delightful and so welcoming. We left feeling refreshed and wishing we had an extra week to truly unplug and reboot. We will definitely be returning and recommending this getaway to friends.
