Came here on Christmas Eve as it was one of two places that was only open in Wanaka. The line was long, but once we ordered, it only took about 15 minutes. We were lucky to get a table outside. It all tasted delicious! The gurnard was perfect.

Fish and chips were okay. Servings were good. The only problem we had was the chicken tenders were quite burnt and tasted bitter like the oil used hasnt been changed for years. Only a few tables. Best to eat it by the lake

Great fish and chips, quick service. Really weird to be charged 80 cents for the smallest sauce in the world.

Looked really appetising and i really wanted to enjoy this because staff was really friendly but unfortunately my fish was not cooked properly as I bit into raw batter. The calamari rings were a solid 5/5, chips were 3/5 portion was good, blue cod was 1/5: bones and uncooked batter and it was still a bit cold in the middle (idk like didnt taste hot like the rest of it), crab stick (not pictured) was burnt (2/5) . Again, I really wanted to enjoy this place because the staff was so nice but it did make my partner and i’s stomach unwell for the rest of the day

Blue cod is tasty - fresh and crunchy. Price is affordable compared to other shops around here. Only 1 table that sits 2 is available. Ice cream is huge but a little icy.

Chips were a reasonable size for a medium. Crab stick was dry, fish was quite nice, and there the good stuff ends. The corn fritter was bland and undercooked. The oysters were so disgusting we took them back. They were pacific, not bluff, as advertised. They were undercooked, had a fishy taste and smelt like something from out of the local effluent pond. We did eat a few and decided that as we had paid good money, we would take the rest back. We were given a full refund. None of it was crispy, but not soggy. It just wasn't nice. There was someone still waiting for their order that was there before hubby ordered, and another customers order had been lost. There were plenty of staff on, all working as fast as they could.

The blue cod was nice, without the typical fishy smell. However, do note prices on menu is for per piece / strip of fish. It isn't a lot to fill the stomach, hence, will say it is rather expensive as a meal.

Good taste and fair portions, these are positive things about this take out. Prices ain’t bad either. They offer daily deals (mostly fish and chips with some side salad). Wait time is as usual. There’s some dining area just outside the shop, otherwise head towards lakeside.
