The Cavern Pod Hotel & Specialty Cafe

My brother and I had a great stay here. The owners were super nice and helpful. AJ (owner) has big plans for upgrades which is why that the stay may be a little pricey compared to other hostel places. The place was super clean and well designed. I liked the outside showers which were useful when coming back from a tour. The staff was super nice and helpful (thanks again Mckoy, who I kept calling Max... sorry bro). It will be a great stay once the upgrades are complete (pool on the roof, with a bar hopefully). The café was good, a great place for coffee. Thanks again for a great stay

Came here for the pure vegan cafe, which had tons of options. The owners of it are the same of taste cafe in town, so 2 of the dishes were the same but cavern had more options. We wanted the pizza but they didn't have it so couldn't dry it. opted for the power bowl and veggie burger and they were both delicious and filling. Would recommend more fans for the place, that's about it. Thank You to the amazing staff for serving us with such hospitality!

First of all, the stuff is incredibly helpful and friendly. The facilities were really clean, the beds are quite large and comfy. We really enjoyed the design of the building / rooms and their breakfast! If you demand a place in downtown, you have to look for other accommodations. But streets there are, due to the tricycles, really noisy.

I stayed at the cavern pod hostel on my solo trip through the Philippines . It is such a great place. Comfortable beds, convenient location and friendly people. I was on my own so the first thing I asked was to be put in a female dorm. They only have coed rooms there but they actually grouped the females that requested the same thing as I did and so my room ended up being only female. Pros: clean, modern space; great coffee and pancakes; comfortable beds (oh man they were so comfy); great bed setup( no metal ladder to dig into your feet because they made a wooden stair thing to get to top bunk. I loved it). Cons: I don’t have a lot. The comments about the internet are true but I was able to use WhatsApp to stay in touch with my family. I didn’t need much else. I loved this place and would go back.

Fantastic design, nice and friendly staff, clean rooms! Food they serve is just mouth-watering! The vegan burger was just delicious. The only downside is that the shower was a bit dirty, broken and there was no warm water. Also the WiFi was very very poor, nearly non-existent, so don't recommend if that's your only source of connection.

Best restaurant in town. They have plenty of great vegan options available on their menu. We ended eating here for 3 days in the row. The vegan burger is to die for. They don't sell beer, but you can bring your own. The staff is really efficient and friendly.

A lovely new modern, clean hostel run by a sweet couple. They are incredibly helpful with any questions you have or so friendly when you just want to have a chat. Their love for the place really transpires through the love and care they have put into running this gorgeous place and the help they give to the people who stay there. Would stay there again and would also recommend people to stay there too!

The best hostel/hotel I've stayed in while on my travels! The staff are amazing and so friendly! Always gave us tips when we needed them! Coffee and the food were the best, the beds are so comfortable!! THE SAUCE!!! you'll know what I mean if you visit!
