The concert was awesome! I was impressed with the acoustics in the cave. I was concerned that the sound would be drowned out but it was perfect! You could understand every word sung! I want to give a huge shout out to the employees of The Caverns! We went the day before to get the lay of the land and the employees working the gate were extremely helpful. The night of the concert, I lost my driver’s license and had to go back the next day to find it. We were there before they opened and the maintenance manager looked in all of the lost and found locations and retrieved it for me. Every employee was so friendly and helpful. You rarely see that in service anymore. Kudos to the employees from the bar staff, the gate staff and beyond! We will be back!

My husband and I purchased tickets to a concert at The Caverns and arrived early enough to catch the last cave tour of the day—and, boy, we are certainly glad we did!!! Our guide (the fella who works in the shop and is also a guide who has been touring for 5+years) was absolutely phenomenal!! He was so knowledgeable, patient, and entertaining! It was obvious that he LOVED his job! He also showed us his collection of fossils, artifacts, and shark tooth. The concert (Josh Turner) was amazing!! The intimate atmosphere, beautiful surroundings, and on-point acoustics combined to make our first concert series experience at The Caverns perfect!!

Google
Excellent venue for a concert. Intimate setting for a small concert. I expected better sound (acoustics, being in a cave), but there seemed to be a slight echo. Nevertheless, the band sounded great, and the experience was worthwhile. I'd go again for sure

Google
Impressive venue with great acoustics. There is a full bar with their own beer, clean restrooms, and plenty of room underground with good views of the stage. We were camping and used the footpath when it opened, staff showed us where to go and security was friendly. We were lucky enough to have several food trucks outside the cave. It's pretty cool inside, which is a great way to beat the summer heat, but bring a sweater if you get cold easily. If you're nervous about going, don't be. It's fun, and I'm already planning on returning because they seem to have great bands on the lineup!

Google
This place is amazing. We saw The Dead South here and it was by far the coolest venue I've ever been to. The beer is pricey but coming from Nashville the night before it wasn't as bad. $50 for 2 small White Claws and 2 24oz Hazy IPAs. I will definitely be back to this venue. We're already looking for upcoming shows we'd enjoy and hoping The Dead South will come back here we love this band and they are the reason we even found this awesome venue

Google
Saw Will Jones and Josh Turner on June 11. It was an incredible show. We were blown away by the opening act of Will Jones. He can play that guitar. He will be a superstar. Josh Turner was excellent as well - meeting all expectations.

We attended the Little Feat show and stayed in the yurt village a short walk from the cavern. The yurts are clean, roomy, and outfitted nicely for an overnight or weekend stay. Beautiful views all around the property. The venue is amazing. We were standing in the back with clear views of the stage from almost anywhere……and it was a sold out show. Acoustics were good. Concessions moved quickly. Facilities were clean and well maintained. Highly recommend this unique venue for an unforgettable concert experience.

Golden Hour Travelers

Google
Hands down the most unique concert venue. Thought we might be cold but was a very comfortable temperature for the whole event. They offer free parking or close up front parking for $60. Friendly staff. They do sell earplugs although we did not need them. Floor is wet so plan accordingly. The walk back is all uphill. It was a standing room only concert.

Yelp
We went for a Marshall Tucker band concert, and we very much enjoyed it. The venue is unique but very intimate and there is not a bad seat in the house to see the show and the entertainers. The sound is very good and everyone we encountered seemed to be intent on making our visit as pleasant as possible. Getting into and out of the venue was very easy and everything runs smoothy. They have food trucks but only beer and wine in cans and I think that is most likely due to local law restrictions, we really had a good time and plan to return in the near future.

Yelp
The Caverns are a very memorable fun experience that everyone who likes music should attend at least once. The atmosphere is great and the acoustics even better. They had food trucks and lemonade! They also served large cans of beer, seltzer and cider. I went to a standing room only concert but managed to grab a rock to sit on which was fine. Make sure and wear a jacket it's chilly inside the cave.
google avatar

Niaz P.

Yelp
A very cool venue! The lighting and sound were great and the background of the cavern made for interesting ambiance. The venue is a bit cool because of the rock so keep that in mind. There's bathrooms and a bar built inside and it's pretty easy access. For this event there were some food trucks outside too so it was easy to go get and come back and enjoy the music.

Yelp
We had a great time at the comedy show taping at The Caverns. We did the cave tour in the afternoon before the show. It was well worth it great stories about how The Caverns came to be as a venue for music and comedy. I would definitely go see a show there again. It is really close to the interstate, 10-15 minutes, so really convenient to get there.

Yelp
I had the best birthday experience at the caverns in Pelham! The event was very well organized and the security and team inside the cavern were awesome. I want to tell them thank you and how much I appreciate them keeping us all safe! The show was incredible and I can't tell you how awesome it was to see an artist I love in such an incredible place. Thank you from Knoxville

Yelp
This venue has been on my concert venue bucket list for a long time, and we recently made it for the four-night King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard run - which included two shows underground in the cave and two above ground in the amphitheater. From the cool and unique venue standpoint, it did not disappoint. So some things to know... this is a venue that yes, is a cave! It's pretty cool and part of a larger cave system that you can tour (highly recommend). It's also basically right where Bonaroo is held. So there is actually infrastructure like hotels in the area that can support a major music event. It's about an hour from Nashville, which is the nearest big airport. It IS in the middle of the mountains, and cell service is pretty crappy (and not existent inside the cave). Just know going in. Final random thing to know: the security team here wear cowboy hats and pack heat. It is rural Tennessee. Along the way, someone said the capacity was abut 1,600 in the cave and about 6,000 above ground. That seemed about right to me. The cave shows are intimate. They are small (in a good way). And the acoustics AND the lighting make it really unique. I would almost say you are better off being further back in the cave so you can really appreciate the visual impact of the cave. But being up close was a heck of a good time too. Just know that the shows in the cave can be tough if you are older and have adult aches and pains. My back, hip and feet were screaming at me after all that time on my feet. The staff inside the cave were great and I never had to wait very long for anything in line (except the merch line, which was insane). Bring good walking shoes. All the surfaces are uneven and much of it is dirt and gravel. Upstairs, the amphitheater is pretty traditional... there's a VIP section up front with plastic seats (that are actually quite nice). And then there's a lawn. There's a regular raised stage and it's much more of a "normal" concert venue. It was a really nice way to see some shows and a very unique experience. Also want to give the VIP staff some props... they did everything they could to make the VIP experience as VIP as they could. The VIP packages came with all the normal stuff, including a shuttle bus. But I heard the camping was good and the parking for all was free, which was a nice surprise.
google avatar

Evelyn K.

Yelp
Parking is dirt and gravel. The actual venus is awesome. It's a cave so very damp but the ambiance is awesome and makes for a great show! Pretty far drive from Nashville so if you can you should stay in a yurt!

Yelp
Concert inside a cave, why not Concerts are great! Staff are helpful. Don't forget about their homemade banana pudding.

Yelp
The Caverns is a beautiful cave where we were able to enjoy a show. My partner and I had never been before, and were very impressed by the friendliness and accessibility of the staff. The road to the cave is quite country, and we only got turned around once trying to find the cave. Once we found the location there was a staff member there immediately to direct us to parking, and lots of staff around that pointed us towards the cave. They had vendors and merchandise outside of the cave available for purchase (kettle corn and sodas, t-shirts for the show) and a very efficient check-in service for both tickets and security. The bathrooms were large and accessible, and I was pleasantly surprised to see that the cave itself had a merchandise stand directly inside the cave (with the most beautiful posters I have ever seen). Now, I will say that I dressed in layers because I was warned that "this is a cave, it will be cold." However, the body heat of the crowd and the electronics used in the show certainly made sure that I was in fact removing layers rather than putting them back on. My only complaint is that the chairs were metal folding chairs, and the line to get to our seats towards the front of the stage got a little long (likely due to confusion over aisles). The people in front of me kept scooting their chairs back, and I had to ask them to scoot them forward a few times, but that is no fault of the venue. Overall, we had a wonderful time and it was very reasonably priced. I am looking forward to coming back again (perhaps for a winter show this time).

Yelp
I went here for the first time and let me say this is the most amazing venue i've ever been to!! the campground and the little yurts propagate a sense of community that ties in so nicely w the venue's overall atmosphere.. I'm so thankful I got to experience this!! looking forward to returning

Elizabeth R.

Yelp
Lots of space to camp and was very organized. Yurts are much farther away than vip camping. Bring starters for the firewood. Bring a bag to collect your garbage and chairs. It's a little trek to the caverns. Print your tickets before you go. Not always tons of food options. We only had two; sandwiches and poke. (Poke was awesome!) will definitely be back for the right show.
google avatar

Marcy L.

Yelp
The tour of the Caverns was amazing!! Landon was our tour guide and he knew so many interesting facts about the caves and its whole ecosystem system! In the evening we saw a concert and the acoustics were so awesome. There was plenty of room and it's the perfect venue for a show!!!
google avatar

Jim S.

Yelp
So I went to see Clutch at the caverns. I have to say, what a great time we had. Wish I had done the cave tour. I guarantee I will be back for another show!

Glen K.

Yelp
This is a very cool location and a great concept/idea. HOWEVER, it's being run by incompetence and greed. A can of beer which cost $3.00 at the store 5 minutes from the venue, should not cost $14.00. This is literally the definition of price gouging and it violates several antitrust laws. I went to a concert 2 weeks ago, in which the beers cost 7 bucks. I purchased 4 beers that night. At The Caverns where they cost 14 bucks, I purchased exactly ZERO beers. And management should know, I've never been to a country concert with so few people drinking. And that's solely due to your ridiculous pricing. Furthermore, the bag policy is overkill, silly and out of control. Can't bring in bags bigger than a wallet basically. What a joke.

Yelp
Over the past year and a half i've been to 14 shows at the caverns, & each time the experience gets better and better! The staff & security are friendly, the visuals and production in the cave & amphitheater are one of a kind! The crowds are always so nice and embrace one another with love and respect My favorite venue, ever. Hands down. 555

Yelp
Super cool venue! Came into town to see Trevor hall and gone gone beyond. Never knew of this place beforehand but once I looked it up, I knew I had to go! Saw lots of deer on our drive there. Stayed at smokehouse lodge about 20 minutes away. Easy to access and wasn't overly crowded where it would of been uncomfortable. Cute bathrooms and great selection on drinks. The music sounded great in the caverns and the light visuals looked great! I would totally travel back again. Even grabbed myself a beer koosie and a t-shirt.
google avatar

Andrea W.

Yelp
Came here to listen to a concert, super cool venue inside a cave! It was a seated concert, and it was a competition among many artists so we got to hear a lot of different music which was interesting. Enjoyed it, although I think due to the acoustics, the sound blends together and each singer's words get blurred. I think it's due to the way the cave is, but I could be wrong. Such a cool venue though! There are also tours here, both for walking through the actual cave and adventure caving!

Yelp
The Caverns is an awesome spot where you can see live music inside a "tame" cave or also go on a cave adventure in a "wild cave" as The Caverns is BOTH a live music venue and a cave tourism fun location. Cave exploring is a great escape relaxation from the world to so something a bit different and if you combine it with a live music show you can get the full experience of this fantastic location. If you like to explore caves and watch live music then The Caverns located in Pelham, Tennessee should grab your interest. The Caverns are in a easy to access spot between Nashville and Chattanooga so it is a great stop to add when doing your roadtrip vacation planning. The Caverns is noted as the longtime home of the PBS show The Bluegrass Underground. You should check out the live music schedule here and also make the time to explore this area of Cumberland Plateau at The Caverns during your visit. Overall this is a VERY unique spot to both enjoy some live music and a wild cave tour! My video review of The Caverns is here: https://youtu.be/_hbjU70eqv0

Yelp
It is such an amazing venue for live music. The drinks and staff were awesome, too. I highly recommend this place. Never been anywhere like it before!

Yelp
I went to see a show at The Caverns in Pelham, TN, and it was an incredible experience. The venue is located in a natural cave, which creates amazing acoustics. The sound was so clear and resonant that it felt like the musicians were right in front of me. The cave is also very cool, which was a welcome relief from the hot summer weather outside. They had snacks and some food available for our show but I would check the website to see the specifics for the show you are seeing. In addition to the great acoustics, The Caverns is also a beautiful place. The cave walls are covered in stalactites and stalagmites, and the overall atmosphere is very mystical and otherworldly. The staff at The Caverns were also very friendly and helpful. They made sure that we had everything we needed to enjoy the show, and they were always happy to answer our questions. Overall, I had a wonderful experience at The Caverns. It is a truly unique and special place, and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves live music. Here are some additional tips for visiting The Caverns: Wear comfortable shoes, as there is some walking involved. Bring a sweater or jacket, as the temperature in the cave is a constant 52 degrees Fahrenheit. Take your camera, as there are some beautiful photo opportunities. Arrive early, as the cave fills up quickly for popular shows.

Yelp
This place is like nothing else I've ever been to. Seeing a show underground is fantastic. The sound, atmosphere, and whole environment takes the musical experience to another level. You can experience shows in a natural setting any time of year and the temps are perfect! The outside amphitheater venue is awesome too for warmer weather.

Anne W.

Yelp
Amazing place for a concert Michael W Smith is who we went to see Great concert would love to see him perform there again And also would love to see a light show of some kind there also
google avatar

Bradley W.

Yelp
Great venue but wish the management was better and more inclusive of others as it would make things so much better
google avatar

Nick P.

Yelp
Truly one of the best and most unique venues ever, It will go down as legend! Inside the cave is one of the coolest places ive ever got to listen to music.

Jennifer D.

Yelp
I love the Caves! They never disappoint! Go for a tour, for a concert, you will be happy you did!
google avatar

Theresa S.

Yelp
Had heard many good things about this out-the-way music venue, and for the most part, I was happy with the reality. Yes, it is in the middle of nowhere. Yes, the weather can, em, put a real damper on the event. And, yes, it's not exactly accessible (lots of gravel in the parking lot, hills, uneven walking terrain). If you know all the obstacles and you are still up for adventure + music, I think you'll be happy with your IRL exprience, too. As other yelpers have noted: concessions moves fast plenty of space in the back to dance and maybe find a rock to sit on cool temps are quickly forgotten when people fill in We didn't get a chance to take the tour, so I'd to come back for that. Also, it should be noted that not all the up-coming shows are inside the cavern. This may be due to Covid, but some are set up outdoors nearby.

Jerry M.

Yelp
Unique, cool (literally and figuratively) venue for live music. The sound is good, the staff are really helpful in directing folks around the space. Really glad I tried it out a few months ago! Definitely worth going at least once. Be prepared for gravel parking lots and narrow drives. Wish I'd driven my truck there. But it's all good. Leaving the area late at night, get ready to wait (unless you pay for premium parking) for the lots to empty out to the narrow road and watch out for wildlife. Definitely worth trying out an event there. I may consider staying overnight and car camping next time since it's a nice area with nearby sites to see.

Jdavis0304 D.

Yelp
Our first time visiting the Caverns was for Red Clay Strays and it did not disappoint! it was such a neat experience. The acoustics were good, plenty of room to move around, and quick moving concession lines. We didn't get an opportunity to eat, but the food truck was a great addition.
google avatar

Brittney R.

Yelp
4.5/5 Amazing and cool venue! It's super unique and I actually enjoyed it more than Red Rocks in Colorado. My only tiny drawback is that there is limited cabins/yurts, houses, or grocery stores in the area. It's pretty remote and they don't have water hookups for RV's so just prepare for that. Otherwise, you'll have an amazing time.

Anna K.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite venues I've ever attended a show at. The atmosphere is so vibey, the crew is so nice and thoughtful, and the venue itself is beautiful. I will definitely be back again!

Candice B.

Yelp
We attended the PBS recording at The Caverns in 2023 and 2024. We had such a nice experience the first time, we came back to do it again this year. Sadly, our second visit was terrible and we will never return. Here is why... 1. Arrived to camp at 2;30pm. Campgrounds opened at 3pm. One side of road had no parking signs while the other side did not. We and many others lined up on other side of road. Employee arrived at 2:45pm only to yell "you can't park there"and " you are lucky I am here early to let you in." No welcome. No happy festival. Just bad vibes. 2. Only ten campers in the entire festival campground that holds thousands. What happened? Last years camping was more attended. Perhaps the bad vibes stopped folks from returning. 3. Woman employee approaches our campsite to say no one in the entire festival campground paid for a three-day camping pass. Additionally, she went on to say camping is $150 per night. She made us feel like deadbeats and losers. At this time, we showed her our three-day camping pass purchased from The Caverns website costing $150 for three-nights camping in black and white. She simply replied by throwing her bosses under the bus saying they want to overcharge everyone for camping because the EDM campers have deep pockets so should everyone else. From $150 for three nights to $150 per night... yeah, right. Later while talking we realized she was the same person who yelled at us when we first entered the campground. Sheesh. 4. Day 1 and 2 of the concert, we walked along a trail from the camping area to the concert venue. Everyday, we went through security and let in. On day 3, we were told go way up the road to the day parking lot and get to the end of the GA daily entry even though the doors had opened. We explained we were campers and how security let us through in day 1 and 2 after the doors were open without going into the GA daily line. Chris the rent a cop (complete with a gun on his hip) told us to go to the end of the GA daily line. My son complied and went to the back of the GA line way up in daily parking. I stood leaning on the wall due to my cancer disability. Once my son reached the front of the GA line, I attempted to join him to proceed through security. Chris placed his right hand on his gun and told me I didn't wait in line and I couldn't go in. I explained that I was ADA. He went on to say he was not going to let me in at all. We (including the other concert goers) all stood there in shock. Then out of the blue, Chris said I could go in after 8-more people following my son. Why the magic number 8? There were still approximately 50-people newly arrived still in queue. It makes no sense. It was terrifying having a man with his hand on his gun making threats and demands of you. I was shaking. My son experienced an anxiety attack. We went into the concert and made a complaint to the manager. A woman guest who observed the entire incident walked over and confirmed the situation with the manager. The manager was very nice and apologetic. She offered us swag. The genie had left the bottle. Both my son and I were wrecks. We declined the swag and walked sadly back to our camp site missing the entire last night of bands. Takeaways: 1. Camping needs to open earlier. Arrival at 3pm with a doors/show at 6pm is unreasonable. You barely get camp setup then you are running a sweaty mess to the concert. 2. Hire employees with a welcoming festival spirit. We have many festivals to choose from. I will not be returning to yours. Bad Vibes. 3. Do not hire over zealous, gun touting, angry men to provide your security. Chris is a bully and a thug. He should never be allowed to work at your venue again. This incident must be reported to his employer. 4. Invest in marketing. No one wants to go to a three-day camping festival with only ten other campers. Why didn't campers from last year return? Perhaps the vibe? 5. You should refund the cost of two (2) concert tickets for the 3rd night to my credit card on file. My son and I were so triggered there was no way we could enter your venue.

Yelp
Had a great and easy time getting into #thecavernstn for the Garrison Keillor show in September '23. My father rides a mobility chair for long distances and it was super simple getting through security and to our seats. NO STAIRS, is what I'm saying. And all the staff were very friendly and accommodating. Hope to return soon!

Yelp
Great venue but more than that great people. We had a slight issue with our seats but Donny made sure we got great seats. He also said Kristen helped. Kudos to them and the venue !

Yelp
Camped for two days for recent EDM show. Brought a few gallons of water each because I knew they wouldn't have water available, but campground gave out a 6-pack at checkin. That was super nice. Port-a-poties spaced throughout campground were cleaned daily. Plenty available and dispersed well, so never a walk or wait. Food vendors were amazing locals. There was a sorta everything cafe, a chicken tenders and fries, and a BBQ truck. Super nice people. Fields Family guy even gave us a cup of coffee for free because it was an hour old and he thought we should only pay if it was fresh. Walk to the cave was spectacular. It's well lit, so no need for headlamp. Campsite is also well lit, maybe too much so. Cave venue was bucket-list worthy. Stunning! I'd heard mixed reviews on sound, but for loud EDM music, it was pretty wonderful. The pics make it look bigger. The shows here are small and intimate. With capacity requirements fairly low for standing room shows, there is plenty of room to spread out, making it easy to move around (so venture down to the stage at some point). No hydration packs allowed (only small but there are water stations with cups at the back by the bar- kept full and tidy. Also water for sale at the bar.

Yelp
CaveJam was an unbelievable festival. This year was the first one. Can't say enough good things about it. The people, staff, the scenery, the mountains, the vibe... all first class. We did the VIP pitched tent and it was absolutely perfect. Taking the cave tour during the day was a lot of icing on the cake! Me and my buddy Mike already can't wait to go back next year. Fingers crossed Cheese will be there.
google avatar

Thomas B.

Yelp
Super cool underground concert venue. We saw the Steeldrivers here. Amazing show! Acoustics were crazy good especially in a cave! Bathrooms were nice and clean. They have canned beer, wine and cocktails. Great brands. The bar was SUPER efficient and fast. Seats were padded folding chairs. Decent seating. Overall this was a great place for a smaller concert venue. We are coming back next month!
google avatar

Laura D.

Yelp
This is an incredibly unique venue to see a show at. The acoustics in the cave are excellent and they have a great bar. The seats were a bit close together, but I suppose that is to be expected with a concert-in-a-cave. I recommend taking the cave tour beforehand for a good rundown of the local history of the place and some interesting cavern sights. Saw a St. Patrick's Day concert at the Caverns and my only real critique would be that there was only one food truck and it was fine, not great.
google avatar

Angie C.

Yelp
We had an amazing concert experience attending a concert taping of "The Caverns Sessions" for PBS. One of our favorite concert venues yet! I highly recommend everyone to take in a concert here. It was a unique, wonderful venue and was very well organized.

Yelp
This is probably the coolest music venue I've ever been to! Such a beautiful and unique experience! I'm definitely going to be checking for more bands to see here!

Kaleigh G.

Yelp
Possibly my favorite venue to visit! The staff is super nice and they have FREE water!!!! I wish I could be here every weeekend!
google avatar

Michael G.

Yelp
Been to a couple shows and I love the venue. Very cool way to see music. The cave always has a nice cool temp because it's a cave!! Love that they added an outdoor stage for bigger shows, Avett brothers was great. Also, adding camping to the property is amazing. I live in Georgia and the camping has opened the door for me to make it to many more shows. Moe. Just a few weeks ago was another fantastic experience. Hopefully I'll be back sooner then later. Thank you Caverns! #thecavernstn

Chelsea M.

Yelp
I saw a 2 day concert there and it was truly an amazing experience. The sound, location, ease of everything was stunning! Will be back in the future!

Yelp
Amazing venue, one of the best in the nation. Free water was a huge plus for KGLW The staff was great for the concerts and very knowledgeable for the cave tour the next day
google avatar

Yelp
Absolutely loved this venue, must-see. The outdoor amphitheater is set in the woods and the cave venue is super unique. Highly recommend!

Yelp
Such a great time! Will definitely return to see more shows! This has become one of my favorite venues!

Yelp
Had a great time at the Caverns for the Cadillac Three and for Ride the Tide. I love camping at concerts. I hope to get out to Blackberry Smoke too. Fun venue. Cool to see. Great camping. The walk from the camper's to the cave is a little rough with a great problem but totally worth it!
google avatar

Brooklyn M.

Yelp
I HAVE NO WORDS. The sound in there is top shelf; Such a magical experience. I went to see Of The Trees and this is seriously my new favorite venue next to red rocks. I will 110% be going back to as many caverns shows as I can now. AND THE NATURE THAT IS AROUND THE AREA IS *CHEF'S KISS* PERFECT!!
google avatar

Mlou W.

Yelp
Husband and I loved the cave tour! It was a little short of an hour. We got to tour both caves and a bit of the property outside. We learned a lot of history that was very interesting. It was great seeing the concert cave and being on the stage! Would definitely recommend!

Yelp
This is one of my favorite experiences I have had in a while. A friend and I went to the caverns for subterranean music festival headlined by papadosio and we were blown away by the organization of the festival, the beauty of the campgrounds, and what you get with VIP. We stayed at a beautiful yurt which came with a yurt and VIP concierge. I was provided with extensive information before the festival even started about what to expect, and who to contact if I have any questions. Every patron of the music festival was so kind as well, the amount of people giving compliments and offering to take photos for us was amazing. Even the vendors were kind and amazingly talented. The cave itself is a magical experience that is truly unbeatable. I hope to go to the caverns year after year, as it is truly more than a venue. There is so much to do around the area as well. Absolutely magical and worth a trip.
