The Centerboard is a truly charming place located close to town in a quiet little spot. Everything was perfect! The room was comfortable and cozy and very clean! They extended a later check out as well to accommodate our ferry time. Carlos was very helpful in assisting with booking our room and answering our questions. If our travels bring us to Nantucket again, we will definitely be back!

We loved staying at the Centerboard Inn! A homey feel with a boutique hotel flare. Walking distance to town & the ferries, very clean and comfortable. Plenty of bath towels, the softest pillows and lots of amenities like coffee, tea, water, hair dryer, etc. Couldn’t be happier with our stay at the Centerboard!

I’ve come to this lovely inn a few times already and it has become a home away from home. It has everything I need for my Nantucket stay, like beach chairs, and umbrellas, towels, books, coffee, tea. I even spent a rainy week in the Centerboard and still managed to have a great cozy week reading at the Inn. It’s so close to downtown and the beach. Everything you need for your perfect Nantucket stay to make you feel like a local

We had a wonderful stay at The Centerboard this week. The inn is in a very convenient location and walkable distance to our ferry to Hyannis . The location is very close to the Main Street and tons of restaurants and shopping experience. The Inn is very clean and well cared for throughout. Also from the Wave bus terminal it’s easily walkable . Highly recommended.

We were very happy with our stay at the Centerboard Inn this past week. It was a four night stay. The Inn is very clean and well cared for throughout. The location was very good. We flew into ACK and took the Wave to the main terminal. From there it was an easy walk to the Inn. The onsite housekeeper was great.

Clean, beautifully appointed, and quiet. Off the beaten path but a 5-minute walk from restaurants and shopping. Each room has a coffeemaker and a mini-fridge. The staff checks in regularly with visitors via text message to see if anything is needed. We enjoyed our stay so much!

We recently stayed at the Centerboard Inn for the Christmas Stroll celebrations and had a wonderful time! The inn is beautiful and Kathy and Peter were very accommodating to any changes we had in our party between the booking and the arrival day. We appreciated the little touches such as bathrobes, slippers and the espresso that was available for us to make in our room. The afternoon tea with the in-house baked pastries and the breakfast prepared by Kathy and Peter was absolutely delicious! Thank you for making our stay in Nantucket so much more enjoyable!

Staying at the Centerboard Inn was such a good choice for us. Within walking distance of the ferry and all the shops, it has all the charm you’d expect, plus classic features, such as spotless rooms, delicious breakfasts and afternoon treats. The nicest touch is the welcoming hospitality by Innkeeper Barb who can recommend good restaurants and destinations, as well as tips about things to do while you’re on the island. We had a delightful stay.

Yelp
We did our research before picking our stay in Nantucket, and this place exceeded our expectations. We were able to drop our luggage before 3pm. They have check in as smooth as possible. Cold front in May when we came so I was happy we could make some hot tea or coffee after we dropped our luggage before we left to explore Nantucket. They even have a trail mix to snack on. The room itself was exceptional. In room 1 - Cozy living space with a sofa bed, then a separate bedroom with a king size bed. Bath tub and shower. There is a Keurig in your room but the common area right when you walk in, has a reading area, dining table, Keurig, selection of teas and coffee, and the trail mix. They have other locations too so I definitely want to stay at this place again.

Yelp
My family and I spent 3 nights at the Centerboard Inn to celebrate my mother's 70th birthday. This was our first time in Nantucket and at the Inn and we weren't disappointed. The Inn was nicely decorated with a beachy or nautical theme. It was out of the pages of a Pottery Barn catalog. The Inn was very clean and Suite 1 was very spacious. The Inn in located about 1-2 miles from all the beaches and less than a mile from all the restaurants and shops. Walking was the best way to see the town and working off all the calories from eating out. The innkeeper, Debbie Adams was a great host and made us feel very comfortable. She was very responsive to our questions and requests. She made restaurant reservations and advised us on what to do in the town. She fixed things right away when they were broken. She prepared a wonderful and satisfying breakfast which included homemade scones and muffins. The cheese and bacon scones were amazing. In the afternoon, she made brownies and pecan bars - delicious. On Saturday night, there was a wine and cheese social at their sister inn, Regatta Inn. Debbie was very helpful, personable and an excellent baker. I would definitely recommend the Centerboard Inn to all my close friends and will hopefully return to enjoy a pleasant and relaxing time on the island.

Yelp
Absolutely HORRIBLE experience here. Barbara the innkeeper was very rude to us and we felt super unwelcome during our entire stay. When we first arrived, practically the first thing Barbara said to us was that we should try to eat breakfast across the street at their sister inn with some friends we had staying there so she could sleep in. Umm- it is your JOB to provide breakfast service. Luckily she didn't need to both because the first night there, I had to go to the emergency room because of an asthma attack and we were up nearly all night with that so we missed our housekeeping call the next day. There was only 1 roll of toilet paper in our room and being sick with allergies and with normal bathroom usage, that ran out very quickly. We called Barbara the morning of our second full day to try to get more toilet paper and because the toilet had clogged (it was an OLD toilet) and she had the audacity to suggest that we were using an abnormal amount of toilet paper and had clogged it on purpose. For someone in the service industry to even suggest that to a customer is honestly so rude. There were a few other remarks that Barbara made to us that were really off-putting and made both my travel companion and I very uncomfortable. We also had issues when we were at the sister resort across the street enjoying a nice evening on the patio with our friends and were harassed multiple times by that innkeeper to be quiet even though we were conversing at a normal volume and it was way before the noise ordinance cutoff of 10pm.

Yelp
My husband and I stayed at the Centerboard during our post-wedding "mini-moon" and loved every part of our stay. The innkeeper, Debbie, was pleasant without being overbearing, and had great recommendations for things to do around Nantucket. She also made the most phenomenal breakfast croissants - I'm talking fancy, apricot-pecan level here. You best believe I helped myself, yes I did. The inn itself is picturesque and cozy, which we expected given the price point. Malin+Goetse products in the bathroom were a nice touch, as well. For me, the service was what really set Centerboard apart - when we first arrived, there were two delicious chocolate tarts in our room, along with a handwritten note congratulating us on our marriage. And during our stay, Debbie went out of her way to pick up a pregnant guest from the ferry station. I'd heartily recommend Centerboard to anyone looking for a quiet getaway!

Yelp
firstly, if you look at the current website, the photos are a bit outdated. The inn was purchased by new owners at the end of last year & they updated the rooms and the foyer. first step in and all I could think was CHARMING! the best part of the stay is that (Lyn) the innkeeper is an absolutely warm, funny and all around joy to be around. She does know the perfect balance of making you feel welcome and chatting you up. Not to mention the fresh baked goods in the afternoon (3-5pm) and the wonderful breakfast array. there is also a fire pit out front which is wonderful to sit around in the evening. the location is very close to main street, and we walked to and from dinner everynight. Lyn made dinner reservations for us each night (call night before) at all the great dinner hot spots... including CRU which was just newly opened 2 weeks ago! This was the first bed & breakfast my bf stayed at, and I'm glad he found it every bit as wonderful as I did.

Yelp
My wife and I just stayed at the Centerboard for a 3 day weekend and were so lucky to have found it! Winter in Nantucket is a wonderful experience that is wildly undiscovered. The Centerboard, thanks to owners who are investing in beautiful renovations and Lyn, the most accommodating Innkeeper I have met. Here is a quick list of what made the experience so great: * Complimentary wine and cheese on Saturday night, tea and cookies on Sunday * Incredible, homemade breakfasts, easily worth $30 if we were to get it out. Included locally roasted coffee, orange juice, blueberry and pumpkin scones, muffins, locally baked bread, yogurt and homemade granola * knowledgable recommendations for an adventurous mid-twenties couple a quiet island * Completely on the ball with keeping the inn clean and comfortable, while always insuring we had adequate privacy for a quiet get-away weekend. * Lyn will do anything to make your experience perfect. She is better than the best. * accommodations were clean and comfortable and they're still planning to upgrade and renovate...I can't imagine how amazing it will be when they are done! Thanks to Lyn, Nantucket, and the weather for a fantastic, peaceful winter getaway . Try Nantucket in the winter and definitely stay at the Centerboard!

Yelp
We are just completing a 3 night stay at the Centerboard Inn and it is fantastic. The innkeeper, Lynn, is the sweetest, most accommodating hostess that you could ask for. The entire inn has been recently remodeled and it is very fresh and beautiful - none of that old, dark decor that so many B&Bs have that make you feel like you are at some musky old home! The breakfast is great and the coffee, from the Bean coffee shop, is excellent! The inn is a short walk from all the shops and restaurants and is very quiet. There is a small, lovely garden in front that has comfortable chairs and a gas fire pit where sat in the evenings after dinner, reading books and drinking wine. We have tried other inns on the island, but this will be our choice from now on. Thanks Lynn!

Yelp
Absolutely loved my stay at the centerboard, actually look forward to coming back at some point to escape the Texas heat. Barbara seemed to always have freshly baked pastries, tarts, or quiches out for breakfast and the afternoon. The rooms were spacious, comfortable, modern with a dash of cape cod. It was #quaintAF

Yelp
Room #7 is 5 steps below ground. Its 3 small windows are at ground level making the room dark and airless. Very noisey from traffic and restaurant across the street. Low ceiling and poor lighting. Lynn offered to find us another room on the Island, but, we would be charged the room rate of $250 per night. Food is delicious, Lynn delightful - just room #7 is poor.

Yelp
I never post reviews, however, our treatment was so bad, I want to make sure others are aware before they stay here. We just stayed at the Centerboard Inn for a long girls' weekend and had the worst experience with the innkeeper, Barbara. After two days of sharing a room, we simply requested a few clean towels. Upon asking this of Barbara, she immediately pulled out one of the hand towels that housekeeping had taken from our room; showing us a couple of mascara marks that were on the towel. She then proceeded to tell us it can't be cleaned and that it was now trash. She shunned us like we were children and just did something highly punishable! We were told we could not use the towels for makeup and she specifically directed us to the black face towels that were provided to us. With the rate they charged and we paid upfront before even staying there, I think it is a bit controlling to tell us what towels we can and can't use. How about purchase ALL black towels and then you don't have to say a word! There were a couple other incidents with the innkeeper that were rude and condescending, however, more minor than this. With all of the other options of great places to stay in Nantucket, I would recommend you seek a place where you are treated with the utmost of respect and hospitality.

Yelp
We recently visited The Centerboard Inn and had such an amazing time. Barbara was a fantastic host/innkeeper. She is extremely friendly, professional and provided great recommendations. Her ideas were spot on! We cannot wait to go back for another visit!

Yelp
Coastal chic and fabulous. Often times in luxury overnight stays the powers that be spend money on the lobby or the rooms but very rarely both. This upper echelon boutique bed and breakfast exceeded our expectations and left us wanting more. My girlfriend and I stayed in Room One, anxious to see what the extra money afforded us and we were beyond ourselves with the oversized luxury suite and decor as well as the comfy king bed and jacuzzi tub. Crepes for breakfast were delicious and the Inkeeper Lynn was a joy. A word of advise, stay here!

Yelp
Just returned from a stay at the Centerboard and I highly recommend this inn. Lynne, the innkeeper, is very friendly (but not overbearing) and very helpful with recommendations. The rooms are very comfortable and clean and the location can't be beat. Breakfast was always excellent. Light sleepers may want to request a room that doesn't face the restaurant across the street, which seems to host a decent crowd on its outdoor patio at night. We we so tired at the end of each day, we slept like babies regardless. We will definitely return!

Yelp
My fiancé and I stayed at the Centerboard Inn for a 2 night getaway in Nantucket and we couldnt have been more pleased. The inn was comfortable, clean and the innkeeper Debbie was fabulous. Complimentary cheese and wine on Saturday night in the courtyard was a delight. Its walking distance from town, far away enough to retreat back to a quaint area but close enough to walk to where all the action is. We would definately stay here again or even try the sister inn the Regatta across the street.

Yelp
We spent our mini-honeymoon here and coming home was so hard after such a fantastic trip. Barbara, the inn-keeper, truly made our stay special, with her warmth and generosity. The space is thoughtfully designed (for those who wanted to live inside an Anthropologie catalog -- this is your chance...), there is tea and coffee all day, and the rooms inspire deep rest and relaxation. While most will travel to Nantucket in the summer, this was a very cozy inn to visit during a snowy winter weekend and we'd come back in a heartbeat!

Yelp
BEWARE. I recently got married in Nantucket. Had my family stay there because a few rooms take pets. and the place looked nice. This place employs CRIMINALS. We had specific instructions to not enter the room. Each day we were ensured no one would enter our room because our dog was there. Coming back from breakfast one day, we see a dog being chased by someone that looked like our dog. We double take and it WAS our dog. Around 8 blocks away from the hotel!!!! A tourist stated they were following our dog for over 3 blocks. The maid went into our room to STEAL and our dog got loose. Instead of going after the dog, she locks the door of the room and leaves without telling anyone / calling the police!!! My dog could of been killed or lost forever.. We return to the room to discover the door was locked differently than how we left. She DENIED entering the room. Besides letting our dog out and almost devastating our lives, we got a camera and several jewelry peices stolen. The innkeeper just stood there and did not take charge. All they offered was to "stay longer" in the room. The maid should of been FIRED on the spot. Completly disgusted. RUINED the wedding weekend. TOTAL CRIMINALS.
