The bed was very comfortable, with a lamp and a charging socket by the bedside. There was a deep personal storage locker under the bed (you need to bring your own lock), which could fit my 45-liter hiking backpack and 25-liter backpack, plus other items. There were two toilets and two showers in the room. Towels were not provided. The hot water in the shower was plentiful. The Wi-Fi was strong. The hotel offers luggage storage before check-in and after check-out for a fee; see the pictures for pricing. The location is excellent. The buffet breakfast was plentiful and delicious.

A hostel experience doesnt get much better than this. Very cozy and clean rooms with a modern design through the whole building. The hostel staff was extremely helpful and talkative, especially Mr João. The basement also has a nice bar/breakfast area, a minor criticism flule be the breakfast, i was not a fan of the boiled eggs and you might expect a bit more given the price. We had a great stay overall, highly recommend

Booked there for 2 nights, the location is super central but at the same time it’s a bit noisy at night as it sits right next to a main road. The bed is really clean and has a good scent, and personal drawer is unexpectedly spacious that you can put even your suitcase into it! Oh and the breakfast buffet is quite diverse, with delicious egg tarts! I enjoyed my stay:)

I stayed here at the very beginning of my Camino journey and was so pleasantly surprised — everything was simply perfect! The service and hospitality are at the highest level. Super tasty breakfast, comfy beds with curtains, soft mattresses and linen — every detail is thought through. The staff are absolutely wonderful — always ready to help, answer any question, or give great advice. So many little extras and thoughtful touches make your stay even better. That’s why, on my way back, I had no doubt where to stay — and once again, I’m completely satisfied with everything. The location is also amazing: only 3 minutes to the river and 5 minutes to the Cathedral. In short — I highly, highly recommend it! 👏👏👏

Great Hostel, right in the City Centre Ribeira. Spacious Rooms, own bathroom, good lockers for luggage. Staff was amazing, very helpful and kind. I overslept the breakfast twice, but heard it‘s class, big buffet apperantly. Would stay here again, nice and quiet as well. Unless Porto‘s bike‘s riding all night through main streets.

I had an amazing stay at The Central House Ribeira! The location couldn’t be better — right in the heart of Porto’s Ribeira district, just steps away from the Douro River and all the main attractions. It’s the perfect spot to explore the city on foot. The entire team was absolutely wonderful — super friendly, professional, and always ready to help. A special shout-out to Bruna, who went above and beyond to make sure my stay was perfect. She gave great recommendations for local food, activities, and hidden gems around the city that made my experience unforgettable. The hostel is modern, spotless, and full of great vibes. I couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay in Porto. Highly recommend it!

Absolutely loved my stay at The Central House Porto Ribeira! From the moment I arrived, everything exceeded expectations. The room was spotless, comfortable, and beautifully designed, perfect for relaxing after a day exploring Porto. The breakfast was surprisingly good for a hostel, with plenty of options and great quality. What really made the stay special was the staff—super friendly, helpful, and always smiling. You can tell they genuinely care about making guests feel welcome. The location is unbeatable, right in the heart of Ribeira, close to everything. I’d absolutely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting Porto. Can’t wait to come back!

Spent two nights in the 10 beds mixed dorm, location is great and the breakfast buffet is too, a lot of food and drink options, the place is overall clean and comfortable. There was only one bathroom (shower+toilet) available in the room because the other was broken, it wasn't a problem but I think it might not be enough for a room that big (especially considering that shower and toilet are in the same room and can be used by one person at a time). Really nice view from the window. No hair dryer.Paid lockers if you want to leave you luggage before check in or after check out (hourly fee).
