The Central Park Turtle Pond

What a beautiful place to walk , Central Park. So much to see and do, Bow Bridge has beautiful views around the famous Bridge in so many movies. Walked to Turtle Pond in the view was Belvedere Castle .could see the famous Lawn was shut off due to the grass damaged. So many different trails . Like being in the movies. The colours of the fall just coming through.Great Park for all age's.

I work in Central Park and I must say I love it my favorite place to go to on lunch is turtle pond. Did you know turtles were not originally inhabiting this pond and were placed there by the conservatory and now there are hundreds ! I love to go visit them as it’s peaceful and as a New Yorker you get to hide away from tourists. This is by far my favorite view of the lake and the Belvedere castle ! Btw I recommend using the company I do marketing and social media for bike rent nyc to get around with ease this is located in the center of the park on the east side of 72 nd road and the mall.

Absolutely disgraceful and disgusting that the Central Park authority allows people to fish in the tutrtle pond and abuse the turtles there

Saw turtles!!!! Lots of them, was not too keen on watching a girl pick up a sunbathing turtle for photo ops, just leave it there and admire it, no need to scare the little guy. But this was fun to see!

Cute place to hang out, paint, or have a picnic. Turtles will probably be there!!

My sister and I have been to this pond years ago and that this pond is a pond with 5 different types of turtles. Also, there is an island there the turtles can rest, or laying eggs. There are ducks that swim in this place and fish in there too.
