The Central Hotel Queenstown, A Naumi Chapter (Queenstown, South Island) Verified Reviews | Tablet Hotels

"Several of New Zealand’s finest boutique hotels are the work of the Singapore-based Naumi Hotels concern, and among them is Queenstown’s stylish Central Hotel. Here the Wanaka-based creative agency Undercurrent was charged with adapting Naumi’s ultra-vibrant maximalism to the South Island setting, and the result is a thoroughly local spin on the brand’s characteristic fantasy." - Tablet Hotels

Charming hotel in a central location . We arrived in Queenstown in a heavy rain storm and so were very pleased that the hotel had reserved a parking space for us in advance. There is limited on site parking so that was a nice touch to find a named space.|Our room on the first floor had a gorgeous view over to the snow capped mountains and we loved the chaise longue and the heated bathroom floor. The room was lovely and spacious with loads of useful things like an ironing board. |The hotel decor is different and an interior designer has had a field day with it. But it's perfect for a warm stay close to the town. |We thought the reception staff were very friendly and helpful. We think it led to a relaxed vibe and that continues into the lounge and at breakfast. |This is a gem of a fine

This hotel is great if you’re wanting a relaxed vibe close to the centre of Queenstown. While staff multi-task and may not always be at receptions they were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was a simple continental style but tasty and the happy hour was a nice touch. In keeping with the relaxed vibe both were self service. The rooms could do with a little more lighting but were very comfortable and the complementary drinks and snacks another nice touch. We would definitely come back.

We had an unforgettable stay at the Central Private Hotel in Queenstown. After our late arrival, we found an email with our room number and entry code. When we opened the curtains in room 21, we were greeted by a breathtaking panoramic view of the mountains.|The next morning, Shauna welcomed us warmly. The continental breakfast was delicious, with coffee, tea, and soft drinks available all day.|Each evening from 5 to 6 pm, there was a happy hour with complimentary wine, beer, and snacks. It was a great opportunity to meet other guests.|The room was cosy, the bed was comfortable, and bath salts provided for a long soak each evening was a nice touch.|The staff was wonderful, especially Sasha and Shauna. However, there was one older male staff member who was not very friendly or welcoming. He rarely engaged with guests. Some customer service training could help him improve his demeanour.|Overall, we had an amazing time and would highly recommend this boutique-style hotel to anyone. It's a short walk to the town and all the amenities.

A great, clean hotel that is centrally located! I appreciated the hospitality and the friendly staff! It was a nice touch to have a free happy hour and breakfast! It was an opportunity to mingle and chat with other guests! Two thumbs up!! Definitely stay here!

My initial thought when making the booking was the price was a bit more than other central Queenstown hotels I've stayed at, but I put it down to being such a last minute booking. When we arrived though I was genuinely blown away by the place. The rooms were great, views beautiful, but it was all the other small details, a large lounge, bar, lots of free stuff, a free, fully catered evening happy hour, Excellent breakfast buffet, fully included in the room cost. My only gripe was no bacon! All staff I met culdn't have been more friendly and helpful. Everything was really above and beyond. Will 100% go back

Yelp
Stayed here for a few nights. The rooms are really cool looking with a relaxing vibe. Very comfortable bed and accommodating staff. They give you a bottle of wine at check in, light. Real fast and even a happy hour 5-6. Would highly recommend.

Yelp
Good management. Very helpful for tours and calling when our bus didn't come. Makes breakfast fresh. Attention to detail. Knows your name!
