Hotel has some great history and night life however not only was it frustrating to have music shaking my windows till 2am on Valentine's day night but upon check out they decided they would add on an additional $100 to my check. Our last night we enjoyed some drinks with friends at their bar. Upon check out I asked for a itemized bill which they couldn't provide. While we were waiting for our ride to airport a $301 charge showed on my credit card. We left the bar at 11:30 and signed a bill for a total of $205 for my drinks. At 1am they had additional charges including food which we didn't eat, per the front desk clerk looking in to my charges. I spoke with the manager at front desk, showed him my receipt which I took a picture of. He assured me he would make it right but needed to research. 2 days later, no follow up and now a new charge in the amount of $330. No follow up, no receipt and random incidental charges. I am beyond frustrated that they couldn't take care of this during check out and now have to follow up again. After 3 stays at this hotel they have lost my future business.

Location is everything with this hotel. So walkable, and very accessible. Amazing bar, service, and DJ set was tremendous fun. Must get a picture in front of the wall of speakers! , Beautiful, unique artwork on the lower level, headed to the restaurant. Like walking through a gallery. Gives 1930s gangsters era. Would love to visit again. Even sitting outside on a warm, breezy day on their patio was a great time.

The Central Station Memphis is where history and modern elegance converge. Housed in a beautifully restored 1914 rail hub, this hotel is more than a place to stay—it’s an experience. The architecture retains its vintage charm while incorporating sleek, contemporary touches. Whether you’re a guest or just stopping by for a cocktail at the swanky hotel bar, you’ll feel immersed in Memphis’ rich cultural past. The location couldn’t be more convenient, offering views of passing trains and direct links to New Orleans and Chicago, adding an air of timeless travel nostalgia. Don’t miss the curated vinyl collection and music-driven ambiance—a nod to the city’s legendary sound. Perfect for history buffs, train enthusiasts, or anyone seeking a unique stay in Memphis.

Google
Such a nice, historic and charismatic hotel! Sadly ita dragged down by incompetent management. I was double charged for my room, had to “bother” the staff for an adjustment, and all around left feeling like this was more of a two star hotel experience. I really wanted to love this place, but the customer service just ruined the entire experience. Side notes: the shower gel container was empty. No coffee in the room.

Google
Funky little hotel was a very cool concept! The night time DJ sessions are a blast (albeit loud). The rooms were cute - small for the compact king, but I suppose that is to be expected. We were disappointed to find the restaurant closed, but the bar food was fine. Drinks were great. Check in/out was a breeze. Would absolutely stay again next time we are in Memphis.

Google
Positive: The lounge bar was AMAZING. Great music, rich sound. The music theme was carried out throughout the entire hotel very well. Negative: The rooms were too small and they were not kept up like they should be for this level of hotel.

Stayed here on 12/29/24 in Room 318. Would have given 5 stars had I not discovered a used needle in my room. As I was preparing to check-out, I couldn't find my wallet (eventually found it in my car). I searched the room and instead found a used insulin needle between the curtain and desk (by the tv). I don't expect housekeeping to do a full deep clean for each guest, but given they didn't find a needle on the floor, I'm skeptical they do anything at all.

Google
It was a great stay with only one odd event as I walked in to check in, someone walked in behind me thinking I might be persuaded to give them my car… a quick flash of my friend Smith and Wesson told them otherwise. While that sounds dramatic, it could happen anywhere and we walked all over the area without any other issue. A stroller is nervy as well as several great local restaurants.

Yelp
Very eclectic looking hotel, which once was a train or bus station. Chaniece was a great bartender and made some awesome recommendation for food, entertainment and site seeing. Michael was also great as well. There is a speak easy behind the bar and on the weekend the lobby turns into a total vibe with a live DJ spinning on the turn tables. But no worries, the sound does not pernitrate to guest rooms. The hotel is extremely close to Beale st. maybe a $10-13 Uber/Lyft ride. This hotel was a total VIBE and I would stay longer and totally recommend.

Yelp
Location- 4, Service-1, Ambiance- 4 Do yourself a favor and skip this hotel, especially if you are booking with your Amex Hotel collection. After speaking with multiple staff at the front desk nobody seemed to understand our reservation and the credits that we booked with. The basic offered amenities in our room were missing or not in working condition (mini fridge, steamer and speaker that was linked to lobby music). The location was not too far from Beale street and right across from Arcade restaurant. Parking was $26 a day and shares with the train station so fills up quickly but I believe there was security patrolling Bar staff was hit or miss, one night they were great conversation and the next night they are sneaking behind the bar to make out with their boyfriend. When our concerns were brought to managements attention we were blown off with no regard or follow up even after multiple promises that our concerns would be addressed. The lobby with the music was a nice vibe but honestly is opened to the public so if this is a must see for you, stay somewhere else and visit as a local attraction.

Yelp
This Hilton has very friendly staff and clean rooms. They also had nice bar area and well equipped gym. Bishop, their restaurant was excellent. No need to step outside when you can get good food within the hotel. It was very quiet inside but they always had good music playing throughout the lobby and bar area. Highly Recommend!

Yelp
Just had a two night stay here as we were in town for a few days. Booking was easy as I booked on the app and was able to use some of my points. We arrived early on check in day and our room was ready! The girl at the front desk was very friendly, patient, and helpful. She got me checked in right away, gave me the 411 of the place, and explained to me my food and beverage credit for being a Diamond member. She handed me my keys and off we were. Our room was on the 7th floor and we were told by the housekeeper that only one elevator was working. We waited about 10 minutes for it to come down which was kinda annoying. Once on the 7th floor we went to our room. The room was nice. We had two queen sized beds, a desk, mini closet, mini fridge, big bathroom, and a view of main street. Everything was clean, organized, and the lighting was pretty nice. We ordered room service twice and it was fast and delicious. I used the app more then once to request toiletries and room service and the response was always prompt and courteous. The lobby is super cool with a lot of neat features. The hallway leading up to our room was dark and kinda eerie, I felt like it was out of a scary movie lol. The area outside is quiet and no noise. Overall our stay was good and I would stay here again in a heartbeat. Everything is in walking distance and the area felt safe.

Yelp
Had a little bit of difficulty trying to find the front of the hotel, and where to check in. Once I got inside, I was totally blown away! Hotel sits with the Amtrak station and was built in 1914. There's a lot of history here and they've done a great job to restore it, in all of it's beautiful glory. However, couple issues with my room... Water pressure, super low, and the electronic drapes and window blinds. Don't work that well... paragraph at the main restaurant, Bishop, is not open at all. So guess are relegated to the lobby bar, with the DJ to eat very simple food that is notorious, and branded for the Hilton. Another nice feature, is the in room, Keurig coffee machine. It has sugar in the raw, and a real ceramic mock. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention, that the coffee service does not start till 7 AM. Good news! Free parking and the location is pretty cool, as the hotel sits on the main line as the trolley. I will definitely come back and stay here in the future, and the only thing truly missing, besides the restaurant, is a swimming pool!

Malissa P.

Yelp
We I got there and our room was not ready... waited over an hr! The bar offers food but it was horrible!

Nate M.

Yelp
I loved this hotel! The music and ambience brought great charm to this Curio collection hotel by Hilton! I walked to many meals enjoying Central BBQ, Wise Acre, Little Italy, and The Slider Inn. I would stay here again when visiting Memphis and highly recommend it. The staff was very friendly and went above and beyond.

Yelp
Date of stay: August 9, 2023 Room: 327 The Central Station was a stop for us in Memphis as we were there to see Graceland for mom's birthday. I really struggled to find solid hotels in Memphis and took a chance on this place. It was a bit of a mixed bag, some good and some less so. We arrived a couple hours before check-in and the rooms were not ready, not a problem, I understand that they may not be cleaned from the previous guests. My issue was waiting several minutes at the front desk before even being acknowledged by staff. After the room was ready and we got in and settled, we noticed that the fridge was not cold. We were heading out for dinner so I planned to stop at the front desk to alert them but after waiting several minutes in a long line, I just decided to use the app to send a message to the hotel. They responded that they would send someone to take a look while we were out but that didn't happen and we had to call the front desk again for them to come fix it. However the hotel was quiet and the rooms were comfortable, if a bit small. The bathroom counter was especially small and difficult to put out any kind of toiletries, especially for two people; good thing we were only there one night. The architecture of the room is nice and I appreciated the small touches, such as the decorative plates outside of the rooms.

Yelp
When I say I love this place ! We went here for a disco night they had and the atmosphere was giving ! We enjoyed the food , drink, and laughter. The decor in this place is insane and was great for our theme pictures

Tad D.

Yelp
Always a solid place to stay. For some reason I keep getting the 2B floor which is too low for my taste but I need to remember to ask for higher. The place is really well thought out and comfortable with nice high ceilings. The bar is fun and always has a decent crowd. Parking is the best in Memphis, a secluded lot with good light and little fear of theft. Bishop the restaurant is usually pretty good although pricey. Access to the freeway is great.

Yelp
After reviewing all of the Hilton hotels in Memphis, I decided to stay at this property. This hotel certainly fits into Hilton's Curio Collection. The main lobby is very inviting with the industrial feeling (high ceiling, exposed bricks, concrete floor and a wall of various speakers). The main bar has an ecliptic with couple bar areas, various seating and more of the industrial feeling. Just a cool place to hang out at. Jennifer, Guest Service Agent, was very friendly when checking me in. She had went over the hotel's amenities and policies. Actually, all of the agents and the other employees were very friendly. I had selected room 723 via the app. The room with it's oversized windows with great views of the city including the downtown area. The room is very contemporary furnishings and white walls. Just a relaxing room. Amenities of the hotel include a business center, lounge, fitness center and the Bishop Restaurant. Unfortunately, I was not able to enjoy the large patio. Granted, the hotel is away from the downtown area, it's only a 15 minute walk to Beale Street and other local attractions. Overall a great stay and I would highly recommend this hotel.

Tiffany B.

Yelp
Small space but great hotel staff! The environment is definitely fun and the beds are comfortable.

Dennis S.

Yelp
Getting to the front entrance can be a little confusing, and it's not the best part of town. Look for a large sign about a block south of the hotel location and it'll direct you to turn in there and go up a long drive and parking area to the entrance on the second floor. Once there, we found the valets to be very friendly and helpful, as well as the front desk staff. The entire hotel has a really cool vibe; the design was well thought out and executed, it's a neat space to spend a visit. The downstairs bar is really special, definitely have a few drinks there. The cocktail menu is excellent and the bartenders know what they're doing. Rooms were nicely dark and cool, the bed and pillows quite comfortable. We had only one window, so we could have some natural light, but the room was always a little dim. Couch for chilling and tv watching, table for drinks and such, and a desk space for working. Small fridge for your drinks. No connecting other devices to the tv, but at least you can log on to netflix. The bathroom is small but it makes the most of available space, efficiently laid out, found it fine for a stay. Was pretty disappointed by the hotel restaurant, Bishop, detail in another review, but they redeemed themselves with an excellent biscuit sandwich for breakfast room service. Would not hesitate to stay again when we are in Memphis, particularly since we now know what to expect.

Yelp
The Hilton Central Station in Memphis is pretty cool. From the moment we walked in it had a hip and unique vibe. It has music coming from the lounge, cool lighting, and a vintage feel. It's definitely a converted station, and it makes you feel connected to something old. I love the use of vintage leathers and colors to make the place seem old and fresh at the same time. The rooms are industrial/vintage/chic and tall. I really liked the nod to the fact that it doubles as a tram station with the trolley lines on the carpets in the hallways and light fixtures that look like trolley lines. Everything feels cool and unique and fun in this place. We loved so much of it. The food at the restaurant was not appealing for us or our 5 year old, but we were able to order some "to go" items from the bar and take them to our room. That was awesome. The only few downsides I saw were old carpet in the room and I saw a rat across the street... yuck. But I don't feel like I saw anything like that in the building we were staying in.... It just grossed me out to see it out my window. The trolley is literally stopping at the hotel 18 hours a day and we are so excited to ride it in the morning! I kind of wish we could have stayed an extra night. Oh also, I booked a king room but was switched to a double Queen because they didn't have kings left. I wish they wouldn't offer rooms on their actual site that are not available in the hotel. Oh well... at least we had a room. Also, I need to mention that the grounds have security roaming the parking lot at all times so you don't feel like your car is in jeopardy of being broken into. The building and parking lot is also surrounded by a fence which makes it feel inaccessible to people who might be a bit sketchy. Good lighting out there too!!

Jessie B J.

Yelp
Great hotel! Service was EXCELLENT. Bar is super cool. Had a great bartender! Room was awesome! Super comfy beds, great bathroom. Slept like a baby! Definitely recommend!

Nubia P.

Yelp
Loved everything about this hotel. The unique scent when you walk in is so nice they even sell that candle ! The beds were super comfy. The history of being the arrival point into Memphis made us feel like we were transported back into time of so many musicians following dreams . The speakers in each room were a great added touch. And it was so close to the trolley which made exploring downtown Memphis super convenient and fun.

Daniel M.

Yelp
I have come to expect more from Hilton Curio. The hotel is situated nicely and has a historic feel to it in the lobby due to the train station, but with the business brought by central station I would think they'd take security more seriously. Our room (which was a Jr. suite) had outlets where they didn't feel the need to add the cover back on, and had a non functioning security latch. The staff was friendly but didn't really listen to our requests. We asked if they knew of a restaurant that served light fresh food. They recommended fried chicken and a bbq place. While I don't expect the front desk staff to serve as a concierge, I do expect them to listen. The room was nice. As was the bathroom but safety is more important. Being by an elevator (that doesn't require a key card to access) with a non functioning lock in a dangerous city is not my idea. We will not be back.

Israel J.

Yelp
HIGHLY RECOMMEND! 5 Stars all the way around! This place is purely amazing and inspiring! We started with a couple of cocktails that Chris, the bartender, whipped up on the spot! They were simply blissful! The ambiance was super chill and calming. And then the food arrived! If you're thinking of normal bar food, get that thought out of here! This place serves the best bar food in Memphis t! The dishes are very well thought out and executed perfectly!

Nicole F.

Yelp
We live in Texas, but regularly drive to Wisconsin. This hotel is our halfway point and has become our regular spot to stay. We love this hotel. The hotel itself is very cool. They definitely nailed keeping the train station vibe with their industrial design. The rooms are CLEAN and very nicely designed (the bathrooms have wallpaper with the hotel's logo - how cool). The beds are comfortable. All their pillows are down, so if you have a feather allergy you'll need to ask for different pillows at the front desk. The music that plays in the bar can be played in your room which is a cool feature. You just turn a dial and there's a speaker that will pipe the music in. The staff is extremely friendly. You have to pay for parking, either self park or valet. We have a toddler and a baby, so our hands are full and the staff always asks us if we need help. We always feel very well taken care of when we're at this hotel. We've only eaten at the bar downstairs and right now (May 2022) you can tell they're a bit short staffed. We had to wait quite a while to have someone come take our order, BUT we didn't mind because we could tell the ONE wait staff was super busy and he was working his tail off. When we were waited on, he was very nice and wasn't one bit rude even though you could tell he was having a very busy night and working under probably not ideal circumstances. The food is kind of expensive, but very tasty. You can also bring your kids into the bar which is helpful when you've been on the road and don't want to wait at a sit-down restaurant. We would recommend this hotel to anyone. Always a pleasant experience!

Jennie T.

Yelp
Such a beautiful hotel but experience was ruined by a false alarm while I was in the shower. Literally had to run out of the shower with hair and body drenched in soap. Other than that incident, the room was very clean and aesthetic was beautiful.

Mitchell K.

Yelp
Excellent room at a good price. Great location. Walk down Main Street past good restaurants, bars, and the Civil Rights Museum, on your way to Beale Street. The staff is very friendly and professional. The bartenders and servers at Bishops restaurant/bar were very good. I will stay here again when in town.

Nic H.

Yelp
Due to a crazy turn of events, I had an unexpected staycation at Central Station Memphis. I could really end this post here: I'll be back. It was the perfect in-town getaway! When I walked into my room there was music playing (took me a couple of hours to figure out how to turn it off ) and I immediately fell into bed. Best sleep I've had in a while. What struck me the most was how friendly every single staff member was. If you go to Bishop Memphis for lunch or dinner, a.) get the fried chicken sandwich and b.) ask Harvey to make you a traditional gin and fizz with lavender. Both will change your life. Thank you for turning my lemons into lemonade!

Rosa L.

Yelp
Customer service was terrible. The manager was rude and unhelpful. The hotel itself is very interesting. If you are into old trains and train stations this is for you. However the rooms were dirty and noisy. The doors slam loudly and my heating system literally sounded like a freight train. The wifi didn't work. The "chat" app didn't work and my in room phone didn't work. I had to you my cell phone to call the front desk to tel them about my issues. Since I was only staying one night I told them to not worry about my issues until the next day as I didn't want to be disturbed. I wasn't offered anything for all this and with the rude manager I didn't expect to. The room had some damage and needed a few repairs. From certain rooms you can see the restaurant Elvis ate at. I ordered some to go food from the restaurant and it was good but pricey. Overall aesthetically this is a beautiful hotel. Comfort and service wise not so much.

Ace D.

Yelp
Super classy place reminds me of being in New York. Bring your nice jacket and polished shoes out. However, even jeans and sneakers are acceptable. They have a great Manhattan just expect to pay more than you'd expect.

Vicki C.

Yelp
Only the staff (Frederick, front desk and Joseph, bartender) got this review to a 3 star level. Frederick checked us in and out. At check-in (early evening) he was the only person on the front desk and faced a long line. He was professional, polite and efficient, moving the line along quickly. When we checked out we were the only ones in line and he made sure we had exceptional service including joining us on the curb to take the luggage cart in and hold my car door. He was kind and thoughtful as we chatted that morning. Joseph made an excellent mocktail for my husband who is a transplant survivor. He was professional and kind. The rest of the hotel left a good deal to be desired, particularly at the almost $400/night price point. I noted the soap/shampoo/conditioner dispensers were empty so went to the front desk on our way out to sightsee to ask for them to be filled. The front desk staff member (no longer Frederick) took our room number and said it would be taken care of. Never happened. They shouldn't have been empty to start with. We had a pre-dinner snack and drinks in the bar. While we were there a couple different staff members walked through with plates of food, actively eating. Dinner breaks are understandable and encouraged but shouldn't occur in the middle of the guest areas. One of the bar staff was wearing a white undershirt and grey undershorts....I need not explain how I know that, suffice it to say the show was the result of bending over to stock the back bar. I understand the current fad for young men to wear pants around their bums....but not in the bar of a hotel which holds itself up to be a premium property. Our bathroom had obvious water damage repairs. Unfortunately the wall repairs were never finished so the wall texture varied in the room and the flat paint on the untextured parts of the wall showed signs of water running down the wall adjacent to the sink. The speakers in the very swanky bar haven't been dusted in a VERY LONG time. No indicator how/where one might fill the ice bucket in the room. Admittedly I hate the trend for barn doors on bathrooms but this one was mounted several inches from the wall and didn't cover the whole door....again, don't tell me you are a premium property and then overlook this obvious flaw. Cleanliness of the room could have been better, especially the shower. The rug in the lobby elevator area was filthy. Despite being diamond members and preferring Hilton properties, next time we're in Memphis we won't be staying at this location.

Molly O.

Yelp
Not impressed. The lobby is fun, but our room had layers of dust on the luggage racks and cobwebs in the windows. I needed lotion after using the hand soap in the bathroom, but there wasn't any, and I didn't want to wait 20 minutes to get some sent up (super basic toiletries in the room). Additionally, we ordered dessert to be sent up. One item was a gelato sundae ... I don't think I've ever had American gelato, but I've lived in Europe multiple times ... this was straight up ice cream. Also, $24 is a bit steep for parking that isn't secured. That's how much it costs at the Peabody and it's covered and very secure. Everyone who worked there was friendly, the art throughout is cool, but that won't be enough of a draw to get me back there.

Gerald B.

Yelp
During my recent stay, I dined at the Bishop restaurant inside the Central Station Hotel. My date and I had oysters, the cheese plate, butternut squash soup, beef tartar, and beef bourgeois. Both of us are now suffering from food poisoning. Neither the front desk agent (Bonnie) nor the restaurant manager did anything to help resolve this issue. In fact, I was treated in a rude manner by Bonnie at the front desk. She was kind enough to insinuate that both my date and I were lying about being sick. I wonder if she behaves that poorly when interacting with all customers or just the ones that don't look like her. I JUST left my doctor's office with a diagnosis of food poisoning. Please address this lapse in good service and judgement on the part of this hotel, the Bishop restaurant, the front desk agent, Bonnie.

Tripp M.

Yelp
This place was amazing. Nicely located to many great places to visit and eat. The hotel had a nice nightlife that wasn't over the top and is uniquely well established in an old train station. My room was excellent and the hotel was quiet. I will be back to stay. Kayla worked the front desk and she was friendly and knowledgeable.

Brandon M.

Yelp
Stayed for a weekend getaway, it was one of the most fun hotels I've been to. The music piped into the room was great (though it took a minute to figure out the speaker). The bar was good, everyone working was friendly. Great location, close to Earnestine & Hazel's if you want a late night soul burger. Bishop, the attached restaurant, was excellent (and if you're staying the night, you can safely hobble back to your room after too many drinks). My only real complaint was the small size of the shower. I am planning on staying here again.

Peggy J.

Yelp
Beautiful hotel, very friendly and courteous staff, outstanding rooms! We were sorry we didn't check in earlier, just to enjoy the room longer!

Stephanie C.

Yelp
Amazing! My boyfriend and I visited last weekend for our first trip to Memphis. So glad he picked this hotel. We did need an Uber to get to Beale Street and FedEx Forum but it didn't take long at all. It was so worth it for the ambiance we enjoyed during our stay. The decor was so cool, loved the industrial style of the old converted train station and jazz playing in the room was a nice touch. I will recommend this hotel to anyone that asks and will stay here again if we make it back to Memphis!

Danielle G.

Yelp
This was a great hotel!! Quiet, clean very clean and the customer service was great! Easy access to rooms and free parking. No hassles at all! Restaurant and bar on 1st floor are really good

Lindsay H.

Yelp
What I loved... The atmosphere here is amazing! Loved the couches, music, and the wall of records. The main lounge area is great place to gather with friends and chat. It's not too loud. They also have a separate "Listening Room." The staff were friendly and accommodating. What I didn't like... The menu is very expensive. Pictured is a 4$ 8oz coke, no free refills. The signature cocktails were fun, but they are ~$14 a piece. The bar food is ok (pictured). I tried the pretzel bites, the beef jerky, and beignet. I would only recommend the jerky.

Wayne H.

Yelp
The hotel is new, the staff friendly and convenient to restaurants and attractions. Pros: New and modern Friendly staff Roomy restroom Cons: $24 for parking. Bar with terrible service I visited during COVID and the hotel did its best to make you feel protected. They went overboard with stickers on door indicating the room was cleaned (well I hope), also a sticker on the remote saying it was cleaned, funny the sticker left so much residue I could touch it.

Val G.

Yelp
So not the most impressive building or central station I have been to but this place really made up for it with an incredibly helpful staff. We were eating at the Arcade restaurant across the street when we decided to come across and see where we were going to be leaving the next morning. I am so glad we did, if not we would have been carrying our luggage upstairs from the main floor. YOU SHOULD DRIVE 150 TO 200 YARDS DOWN THE STREET AND DRIVE UP TO THE 2ND FLOOR. There is a mezzanine level where you can park right by the tracks. Also, we had 5 persons with all the luggage the extremely friendly person behind the desk suggested that we bring our check in luggage the night before so we would not be carrying all the luggage. We did and it really helped. There are clean restrooms and when the train was late by an hour, the same young lady suggested that we could get coffee across the street and she would come call us when the train showed up.

Bryant-Joshua P.

Yelp
Very nice hotel. Having been from Memphis, I saw when construction began on the hotel. I was excited to stay here when I returned home to visit. I've now stayed twice and have had pretty good experiences. The staff is friendly for the most part. The bar/lounge is perfect. The guest rooms are pretty small but intimate. I love the floor to ceiling windows. One thing that I would suggest for the hotel is to have security on the parking lot before 10pm. My friend was visiting me while I was staying at the hotel & his car was broken into and tires/wheels stolen off of his car. His car was literally on bricks. When asked about it, the security guard said that he only arrived at 10pm. The police were called and a report was filed. The police mentioned that this particular hotel has no cameras and have been asked several times to increase their security but they refused each time. They also mentioned that this has happened several times at the hotel. So all in all, great hotel & experience unless you have a nice car/rental car parking on the lot.

Yelp
Great hotel, clean for the most part, snazzy and remodeled with some cool and funky features. Visited during Covid and there was a wedding going full swing in the bar with no one wearing face masks or social distancing so there's that. The check in people wore facemasks and the encounters we had were downright hostile which is why we are removing one star. And we ran into trash several times it sat in the hallways over the course of our two day stay. It's a Hilton after all. I'll give it 3 1/2 stars for poor cleanliness, upkeep and customer service being the drag downs. Face mask wearing / social distancing not encouraged or enforced so enter at your own risk.

Yelp
Came here post wedding--booked and confirmed with the manager Bonnie. Guess she thought it was funny to give us the room with NO AIR CONDITIONING and was told "maintenance can come up later"...it's currently 11:27pm... would never recommend this place. Even Bonnie said "i have new staff"...well clearly her and her staff are not equipped to handle any issue and do not care about your stay

Yelp
Fun and comfortable. What more does one need? Great location. Planned one night and stayed for two.

Yelp
We stayed here for six nights due to the remodeling of our condo close by. We stayed in two different rooms as we were upgraded to a suite (yay!). Both rooms were great - cool decor, wonderful bathrooms, etc. Unfortunately, neither the bar, Eight and Sand, nor the restaurant, Bishop, were open due to covid 19; however, Bishop did provide food for room service. Note that Bishop is part of the restaurant group that owns Andrew Michael. Any Memphian can tell you that these folks run some of the best restaurants in the south, and Bishop is no exception based on the two dinners we had in our room. Since we live nearby, we will be frequent visitors to the bar and the restaurant. The location is awesome. Towards the end of South Main, there are plenty of restaurants, bars and coffee spots within easy walking distance. You're only about a 10 minute walk from Beale St, too. Where the hotel really shines, though, is the staff. From the moment we walked through the front door, we were treated like family! The ladies at the front desk could not have been more welcoming, friendly or helpful! Every employee we encountered during our stay acted the same way. If you are a yankee and have never experienced true southern hospitality, then you NEED to come stay at this hotel! Finally, if you book your room thru Amex for two nights, which we did twice after our first night, you get a room upgrade (hence the suite) and a $100 credit that can be used for parking (which at $24 per day is way too expensive- my only complaint) or in the restaurant (sweet!). If you are visiting Memphis, you owe it to yourself to give this hotel a try. You won't be disappointed!

Yelp
Just a quick visit to the hotel lobby bar, so can't comment on the overnight accommodations, but I can tell you that you'd be hard pressed to find a cooler train station. Apparently, this historic facility was underutilized and in a state of disrepair when a developer stepped up with Hilton as a partner and turned into what it is today, a state of the art train station with a very cool lobby bar, that exudes old-Memphis charm. It appears to have spawned a revitalization of the neighborhood around it, as well. Kudos on a job well done!

Yelp
A friend was visiting me from Australia and she was taking the train journey from New Orleans to Memphis, so had the opportunity to come to the Amtrak Station in Memphis, gosh, let me just start off by saying it was mighty hard to figure out the parking situation and I drove around the station a couple of times, trying to figure out how to get to the parking spot. As I was driving at night-time, the signage wasnt that clear but I did eventually find it and luckily the train was about 20 mins late and my friend wasnt left waiting at the station for me! There's tons of parking and the waiting-room was nice and clean even if the decor was very old-timey (like from the 1930s?). The bathroom situation was good too, so no issues there. Overall, apart from the parking being hard to find at night-time, no other complaints from my side! Yelp Review 122/ 2017

Yelp
What a beautiful hotel! My husband and I think it may be the coolest hotel we have stayed in. Beautiful corner room with two walls of windows overlooking Memphis. We are watching the Mississippi River bridge light show while enjoying a glass of wine in our room. Highly recommended!

Yelp
The room was misrepresented on the website. On the booking website, it advertised the King room to have a King size bed and a pullout bed within the couch. The couch in the room was just a couch which my 13 year old ended up sleeping on. Check your amenities when you get there in the bathroom. They use full bottles that are locked but my conditioner and body wash was completely empty. I had to call downstairs on my cell phone a few times to request the basic essentials like more towels and toiletries, but had to wait hours. The phone didn't work in our room to call downstairs and the WiFi was spotty. The housekeeping service was per request only and the one time we did request it, they didn't show up until the next day, after we had called again. I usually don't like to complain but that hotel was not a cheap stay by any means and I wanted to give my family the best experience. Otherwise, the location was perfect and the view was beautiful. Across the street was an amazing "famous" restaurant that had really great food & service and a mystic shop. Another great thing was that it was pet friendly. I was able to keep my dog with me the whole stay with a small $50 fee. The experience, other than the minor issues, was overall great. Nice gym. The was a live band the first night we were there. There's a bar inside the building and a very beautiful restaurant. The building decor is gorgeous and very artsy. I would recommend.

Yelp
Ok, for new, this hotel has a few kinks that they are getting out of their system from a functionality standpoint, BUT, if you have a little patience for these, this place was really great and I would highly recommend. From top to bottom, this place paid homage to the historical bones of the station. The rooms are unique, the finishes are top notch and the overall vibe/feel was cool. The restaurant was on it's 3rd night of operation last night and the staff's energy, excitement and overall enthusiasm made it special. You can't help but enjoy a night here. And it is part of the local revitalization of main street so there are some really special places in the area - including the Lorraine Hotel - to see and experience. I read a few snooty reviews about people crying over room service and other superfluous "newly opened" pains and I think it is more about their intolerance (i.e. don't travel if you can't handle it - or pay $$$ for the Four Seasons and go away). I would stay there again in a heart beat.

Yelp
Cool finish out of the old train station and nice decor. Good bar scene for cocktails and a DJ. Unfortunately, it is too new to open. The restaurant is not open yet and they tried to partner with Arcade across the street to order food and bring to your room. It doesn't work so don't try. Waited forever for the food. I would advise management to at least provide some coffee in the lobby or invite a local pop up restaurant in the meantime. I would give it some time to figure out the kinks and see what happens. I am sure they will get it straight soon. Close to Central BBQ, Blues Museum, Ditty TV and other spots. Uber also drops you off on Main Street rather than upstairs lobby. A little far from main downtown to walk but right off the Trolley line. This is NOT The train station. Its a hotel! :)

Yelp
Hate to say "I told you so" but . . . Asst. Conductor Alfred (both ways) was the most unhappy unfriendly employee I've encountered in a while. Not 1 smile or kind word to anyone. Mr. Grumpy. @ $24/hr. one would think he would appreciate such a job. Good ride / uneventful / no stress ~ Except for screaming babies & toddlers in need of food / drink / changing / sleep / Do they not make pacifiers anymore? Take your own food & drinks. Cheaper than flying but takes 3x as long. No Thank You. My 1st & Last. One * for getting me there safely & One * for providing an alternative method of travel.

Yelp
This is one of the best train stations in America because of the staff. In Chicago, prepare to deal with government workers who won't check your bags if they can think up a reason to avoid working. In Memphis? Two years ago, somebody dropped me off and I was going to check my bags and then go to the Peabody to kill time before the train. I asked the guy at the counter if he could call a cab for me and he took me over there himself. The station itself is small and has the classic wooden pew style seating. It's attached to the Memphis PD so there are plenty of cops outside. I always see a few cars with smashed windows so I'm not sure that I'd leave a car here even if the parking is free. There's also one "homeless" guy and his wife that are always here. I put homeless in quotes since they seem to be dressed pretty well and are very friendly. Definitely not your typical aggressive bum. There's a bit of business around the station but, as far as I can tell, they are all fronts because nothing has ever been open when I've been there. The breakfast place across the street has never been open between 6-8am but maybe Memphians eat breakfast at some odd hour. Anyway, this is the type of place that you have to deal with rather than choose to deal with but I would gladly take Central Station over MEM any day of the week.
