The Centurion Lounge

I believe some of the reviews come from entitled, never-satisfied, sad-life people. The lounge was very clean, the food was great (and better than other lounges), bar tenders were not scanty in any way and personnel were attentive and courteous. Some of the guests were petulant, pretentious, want-to-be rich, annoying people. The lounge space is not the greatest, but the rest of the VIP lounges experience the same limitations as they were confined in the same area by LAX. I will definitely recommend, I had a great time.

I’m surprised by the number of negative reviews. This airport lounge is spacious, with a variety of seating areas, multiple bars, and even a dedicated children’s room. The food and beverage selection is decent, and the staff are friendly and proactive, adding to the welcoming atmosphere. Overall, it’s a very comfortable place to relax before your flight.

Visited the Centurion Lounge at LAX recently, and while it’s definitely a nice space, it was super crowded when we went. We had to wait around 20 minutes just to find seats for the two of us, which was kind of frustrating. Once we finally settled in, though, the food was good, especially for a lounge. It was lunchtime, so there were some solid options, and we enjoyed some wine, coffee, and desserts afterward. Overall, the lounge itself is nice and the food and drinks hit the spot, but the overcrowding made it less enjoyable. It’s hard to fully relax when you’re waiting around for a seat, which should never be the case.

Old, tired and crammed, it was packed at 8:30am on a Thursday. I finally found a table that has a vacant seat - thank you for sharing. Not a complaint but just don’t see this full often. The serving staff is super. The shower has no wait, it feels better than the club. Right before boarding, I needed to download a document and the airport WiFi won’t do it. When I rushed back to the Lounge, the gate keeper waved me in. By 10am, it calmed down a lot.

Surprisingly enough, this one didn’t feel like a flagship Amex lounge at all. One, it was hard to get to as its tucked away near the international terminal but thankfully LAX has clear directions. Be ready to walk to get to it if flying domestically and account for the travel time between the lounge and gate. It’s small and feels cramped wrt seating.. has hardly any natural light due to its location in the interior side on the terminal making it feel even more closed off. Food offering is very limited and items are not well labeled with their ingredients. Pasta was undercooked and had no flavor while potatoes lacked seasoning. Overall, the journey to get to the lounge and the experience didn’t feel worth it even though there was no waiting time for entrance. Lounge definitely needs a major upgrade in its offerings.

Good lounge, especially compared to all the lower quality PP lounges. Food was very tasty, always warm and fresh. Full bar with two friendly barmen efficiently serving drinks. Bathrooms were clean, showers available upon request. The layout of the space is a bit odd and it's smaller than the Centurion Lounge in SFO.

Underwhelming experience at the Centurion Lounge in LAX. As a fan of airport lounges, I was expecting more, but this one fell short. Compared to the exceptional Star Alliance Lounge, the Centurion Lounge pales in comparison. The space feels cramped and crowded, which detracts from the overall comfort and relaxation you'd expect from a premium lounge. The food and drink offerings were decent but unremarkable. Maybe I visited during a peak time, but I wouldn't go out of my way to return. Disappointing, considering the hype.

Please extend hours beyond 10PM. There are so many flights departing at midnight to Latin America, East Coast, and Asia that the lounge is unable to provide assistance to card members. It is usually super busy at 10PM when it closes.

What a unique Centurion Lounge! Granted I have only been to about 4 or 5, but the general layout of this one is specifically unique. Located in the International Tom Bradley terminal at LAX. It's tucked to the left right after you pass through security. There was a line upon our arrival and quickly filling up after us. We saw quite a few quests get turned away for checking in before the "three hour" window of their flight (if it's their first flight of the day). I suppose I cannot recall the timing of all my previous visits, but I do not recall a lounge enforcing this rull so much. Once checked in you are immediately greeted with the buffet, which is sort of crammed into the corner followed by a long corridor with the bar and some tables. It's definitely a crammed space and not conducive for walking back and forth without shimmying past someone. The otherside of the lounge has much more room, but again sort of a long corridor. They also have a kid/family sort of room, showers, sleep room. Which was cool and I have not seen or noticed at other locations. The food was good, though a bit more limited than their counterparts. Service was super friendly and quick to keeping the place clean and stocked. Still great food, bevvies and much more comfortable option than standard terminal seating.

This is fine if you have access to it. For some reason, Centurion Lounges have a reputation of being among the best airport lounges, but between the three I've visited there isn't much exceptional about them. This one has showers, which can be really cool especially if you're arriving from a long flight... but unless you're connecting to another flight you won't have access to this, and even then you may have to pay or something I don't know... anyway, there is a very quiet meditation room, and a section that is exclusive to the elite members of society known as Black Card Holders. It's really clean and there are lots of employees carefully minding every public area. But they close at 10:00 and the food I had was, while good, light on variety. The charcuterie board had a few cold cuts, but no cheese. Nice decor. Oddly tight squeeze in front of the bar. Next time I'm killing time waiting for a flight in LAX and I have mulitple lounge options, I'm definitely going to check out other options.

Giving this lounge a solid four stars for having no line today! I was shocked. My past few trips all the Amex Centurion lounges were too packed to get in! Nice change today. It's not my favorite lounge in the Tom Bradley International terminal as it's subterranean with no view, but the food is decent and it has a great bar. I prefer the open balcony seating at the Star Alliance lounge at LAX but this is a very solid option if you're flying international economy and can't use an airline's business / first class lounge in the international terminal, or if you want to sleep as they have a very quiet relaxation room with day beds that is almost dark but with beautifully subdued lighting. Breakfast today had French toast & avocado toast. You can even get an iced latte on the coffee machine. There is special "reserved seating" for Centurion (black card) members.

Located in the international Tom Bradley terminal. I came here about a month ago and usually stop by this lounge anytime I have a lax flight because I am an Amex platinum cardholder. Pro tip even if you have a domestic flight you can still go into the Tom Bradley international lounge and go through TSA early to eat at this lounge and then take shuttle to your terminal after! I would say this lounge has really good food for lunch and dinner. Breakfast is just like any other continental breakfast you get at a hotel. Lunch and dinner they usually serve some kind of chicken style dish. They served some kind of flank or steak once for dinner. And lots of delicious soups and dessert! There are also two bars in both sides of the lounge making it very convenient for drinks and like 3 drink stations. Due to this being LAX it is usually crowded and you might need to be put on a waitlist for 20 mins or more, but I've had no issues finding a seat once it was my turn to enter, just expect to be sitting around lots of people. I also really like jow private and clean the bathrooms are. And the waiters are also very attentive ready to cleanup whenever you are finished eating.

Located in Terminal 4, the lounge is sleek and modern, with stylish setup. The space feels open and airy, yet there are plenty of cozy nooks for privacy. It has a rotating food menu crafted by their chefs, and you can grab a drink at the bar. Their staff is helpful and they go above and beyond to make you feel welcome. It is a haven for frequent flyers and a much-needed escape from the bustling terminal.

We always stop here first before we jump onto an international flight. It has definitely gotten busier over the years and it's not up to par of the other newer Centurion Lounges. The ceilings are low and the place is like a maze with seats all over the place. There are a couple bars and sometimes only of them is open. The bartenders and staff are always very friendly and helpful. I always leave a tip because they're doing a tough job with so many demanding travelers. There's always a good selection of main courses, appetizers and dessert. Again, it's not as good as some of the other lounges, but they're always freshly stocked and they don't run out of food.

Its PH (Philippines) time, and I wanted to share with you places the PTC (Philippine Travel Companion) and I visited. We flew fr LAX to MNL (Manila) via TPE (Taipei) Taiwan. This Amex Lounge is in TBIT (Tom Bradley Int'l Terminal) at LAX. I haven't flown an int'l airline, nor an American airline near TBIT, so this was my first visit. Positives: Nice staff, pretty good food selection and showers Negatives: Similar to the Amex Lounge in Vegas, the space is all chopped up. I prefer the openess of the American, Delta & United lounges at LAX; The bar area is built against pillars that lean inward. The space is very tight to walk; Rude guests putting their feet on the furniture. You would think peeps w/ premium Amex cards that have access to this lounge, would have more etiquette. But one lady was sleeping on a couch w/ her bare feet touching the couch. Another guest took his shoes off and put his feet on the seating area: Unsanitary! 3.5 Stars overall. The space is better vs the Vegas location, but pretty mediocre compared to the Big 3 American airlines' lounges.

It's pretty busy here - it doesn't seem unusual for there to be a waitlist, per the reviews, and sure enough, there was a sign saying you needed to get on the waitlist when I arrived. There was about a 20 minute wait before I got the text saying it was my turn. If you're there up to 3 hrs before, waiting should be fine. If you're there an hour before your flight, wait at your own risk... For a guest, it's $50 if you don't get a free guest. Unless you plan to take full advantage of the open bar or stay for close to the 3 hrs, I wouldn't say it's worth it. The breakfast and lunch menus were a bit lackluster - if it's free with your Amex, it's nice, but if it's $50 and you don't drink much, it'll be disappointing. The sausage was a little dry but ok, the potatoes were soft and not super flavorful, and the shakshuka was fine, though I wished the egg yolks were less hard. The French toast was ok, too. In terms of food, it's similar, if not a slight step above, a hot hotel breakfast. The lunch dishes didn't look super appealing, so I didn't go for any when they brought it out. In terms of service, the staff was pretty attentive, coming by often to clear empty plates/glasses. At the bar, the bartenders were constantly moving, checking on each person at or coming up to the bar. I got an orange mimosa (I believe they had orange, cranberry, grapefruit, and pineapple as juice options) and some Baileys for my coffee, which isn't anything crazy, but it was nice that you only pay tip since all drinks are included with entry. In terms of space, there were a number of different areas for seating, but the layout of the space is a bit weird, so the areas by the food and bar are pretty packed and the other areas have more open spots. Final note, because of the free alcoholic drinks, they don't provide cups for you to take your coffee to-go, but they do have regular and decaf coffee, as well as a couple of machines that'll make you an espresso drink.

Still wouldn't recommend it... since the star alliance lounge was super full, I figured to try my luck with the centurion lounge again. Upon entering I was condescendingly told by the staff member checking me in "didn't you know there's a rule that you can't get until 3 hours before your flight?" said it in the most embarrassing way possible... no, I don't remember that cause I haven't been back to a centurion lounge since they've let everyone and their mothers in. At that moment it all came flooding back in that this lounge was one of the worst lounges I've been to. Credit card lounges have become such a waste of money.

Happy to report there's a wee bit more respect for the starry room. All quiet except for a snoring boomer in the corner. And he was sharing the lounger with a partner. How she puts up with the lawnmower every night is beyond me. Staffer asked if I could bring an empty glass to the bar when I left. Sure, I'll do your job for you! NP.

The location is not ideal but the lounge itself is great. Clean bathrooms, unlimited premium adult beverages and food what more could a girl ask for in a lounge. The check in attendant was super friendly and allowed me entry although I was outside of my 3 hour prior to flight window. If I'm in the international terminal I'd absolutely come back.

Not bad for a regular airport lounge. No, it is not a true premium lounge other than for the yearly membership to the card. A decent food bar that even had shakshuka, one of my favorite breakfast treats. Unfortunately it was not the best. Sad there was no espresso machine, perhaps it was a made to order at the bar, but didn't bother looking for it. Clean modern space with various seating areas. It's receivable large. I suggest walking around the to various areas to find seating. Staff was friendly for the most part. Loud women at the bar....why????

Can be a super LONG walk from some of the terminals. Busy, full, but not too crammed. Not much personal time from staff which is understandable. Nice buffet style counter with good food : caesar salad bites, desserts and breakfast food items. Looks pretty good! big bar with beautiful logo neon light, very grand, hard to get a seat but bartenders get the orders right away - I always get a free sparkling. Their fancy Twining tea bags are stellar - mango green tea and earl grey. The tea looks very elegant. Some seatings available. Despite the long walk, I thought it was worth while and went there 2x when connection time is plentiful!! (in the pic theres a brut rose also on the house and it was good that week)

Really long wait, 20-30min waitlist. Good food options, mushroom soup, roasted carrots, pesto eggplant and Greek salad today.

The service is good with clean bathrooms, clean tables, and plenty of plates/utensils/food ready. The ambiance near the bar is a little hectic/cozy, while the ambiance on the other side is pleasant and elegant. The food is plentiful with a taste that matches something I can throw together easily in the kitchen. Note that this is still way better than most of the food in the airport cafes. I avoid the bar because the cocktails I've tried tasted like nail polish. I'm eating 4-star because the bathrooms and food are much better than the other options at the airport.

Busy and packed lounge. Seating very uncomfortable. Parts of the lounge doesn't have any air conditioning. It's very clean they have a crew to make sure the place is kept clean . It's small stuffy. Food is good not a bad place to chill before boarding a flight. I was expecting more from this lounge.

Everything is complimentary! The food is pretty darn solid. Small portions but it's all good! I think alcohol is free too but I don't drink so I can't confirm. Don't forget to tip tho! VIBE Lots of seating. Free wifi. Everyone just hangin out enjoying free food. There's a sleeping room at the end of the hall but it was full when I checked it out. Looks nice tho!

Will always be quoting Jisoo from Black Pink "this is not bad, but not good." This place is packed! The workers look over worked and miserable at the bar. Yes we have free drinks, but it doesn't feel like a grand experience like at the other lounges around the world. But, thankful that the bathroom is always clean. Please make this lounge bigger! The massage is great! You'll want to ask for it early in the morning to even get a spot. Make sure you're not wearing a crop top or they'll be pulling it down the whole time. Tip is recommended, but not required. Very Mid.

My very first time in an airport lounge. I was pretty excited. Thanks to my friends who could bring a guest in with them. We had a long layover so this lounge was definitely a plus! This lounge is right after the TSA checkpoint and take the elevator up to the 2nd floor I believe. The lounge access has bathroom, shower rooms, dining and bar area, and massage. We reserved a 10-15 minutes session massage for free. There is also a food area and it changes depending if it's breakfast, lunch, or dinner time. The lounge gets quite crowded during peak hours. The place looks mostly clean. The furniture may need to replace new ones as some seems a bit dirty and stained. No complaints with service. Food options and taste can be a hit or miss. But overall it was pretty good!

Absolutely the best! American Express is top notch in every way. The food! The bars! The customer service. Everything is the best of the best.

I LOVE coming to this lounge when I have the time before a flight. This is the first time though that I actually had to wait a few minutes because there were SO MANY PEOPLE due to the flight delays. Once it was my turn to go up to the lounge, I was surprised to see SO MANY PEOPLE due to the flight delays. Normally when I come here, there are SO MANY places to sit, but not this time. It was lunch time, and I prefer the breakfast food much better because it's easier to take and go if I'm in a rush. Had to sit and eat this time which was fine. Didn't take time to get an alcoholic drink this time around. LOVE their chocolate chip cookies. Even their oatmeal cookies tasted very good. Not too many fruit options, but their oranges were extra juicy. They have a shower room. Private places to sit by yourself with your laptop.

I was brought here by my travel buddy as guest. We had to pay $50 to be able to use this lounge as a guest. While the place looks very clean and inviting, the food is not as good as I thought it would be. What are the food selections? There's two different kinds of soups, lentil and vegetable soup. Lentil was good but I didn't try the veggie soup. There's two salads but there's only one main dish which was chicken. There's fried eggplant, steamed green beans and potatoes as side dishes. Only one dessert which was a raspberry mousse. In my opinion, the value of the food they offered was only $20. I'm glad there was coffee to enjoy. My rating is only 2 stars but I gave them an extra star for the Uber promo they're having when I visited. I was gifted AirFly and AirTag.

Provender: this is a great lounge available to AMEX card holders. After entering the elevator, you go to the lower level to gain access to the attendant. Prices: for AMEX cardholders the drinks and food are complimentary. They also have other services, like massages (but that service was unavailable when I was there). Parking: N/A People: children are allowed. Perks: although the drink selection is not extensive, they have great cocktails. The soups were also delicious. There are side seats/tables for two for a bit more privacy. The lounge is located to the left, immediately after the TSA area.

This is a pretty good lounge to go and visit when your at LAX. They are located in the international terminal, which is possible to walk to from other domestic terminals. Pretty expensive if you don't have an Amex card, but I think the cost is worth it for a place to sit with some food if you're at LAX for 3+ hours. Plenty of food options available, it was a nice dinner. The service was pretty good, they would clean up your plates when you finish eating and wipe down your table, etc. Ambiance was alright. I like it when airport lounges have a view of the planes moving around, this lounge is in an odd place with very few windows, and these windows show the TBIT rather than the planes. Overall, I would come back to this club, if I was at LAX for a long extended period of time, it is too expensive and takes a while to walk from the domestic terminals to be here for an hour or so.

This lounge is usually very busy and at least 30 min wait to get in. Sadly LAX does not have many lounge options unless you are traveling internationally. This lounge is also located in the international Tom Bradley terminal. If you have a long layover, it might be worth the try. You have to go thru security again if you are flying out of any other terminal than Tom Bradley. Good drinks, bartenders and staff work super hard, food choices can be hit or miss. One time they had a great taco bar, another time it was grilled chicken and salmon. Vegetarian choices are limited but sometimes you can get lucky with vegetarian soup like lentil or roasted pepper.

a very good lounge at Tom Bradley Terminal. it comes in clutch when you don't have international lounge included with your flight. This is not 5 star fancy, like some big lounges here, but it's definitely on the nicer side and perfect for business traveler's. The bartenders are very attentive and generous. The food spread was well stocked. plenty of seating when i arrived at 9:30am on a Monday. these lounges have the same decorative aesthetic at every airport, but this one had a massive Neon AMEX logo above the bar which i though was neat. I highly recommend this lounge.

This is a nice secluded location in the B Terminal. Clean and spacious and very well maintained restrooms. There is a good variety of food, snacks, and beverages. Chairs are comfortable with plenty of electrical outlets to charge your devices. Its a quick elevator ride and walk, once you clear security in the International Terminal at LAX.

I had a great time at the lounge during my recent visit. I always stop by when traveling from the Tom Brady terminal because of the good food variety. The bar can get busy, but the atmosphere is nice. I had a tasty Bloody Mary, and the staff was friendly and attentive. The lounge was clean, which I appreciate. I also loved the Occitane soap and hand lotion in the bathroom--they're a great brand.

Overall: one of the worst Amex Lounges I've been to so far. Very "cagey" feel considering the windows are tinted so you can't see out and the ceilings and walls give a cramped feel. Food: the selection is not great and incredibly soggy. There actually isn't any fountain drink section. Service: I will say the staff and the service was good but really can't compensate for the subpar standard for centurion lounges.

All Centurion lounges are pretty consistent across the board. I love the location of this lounge... as you pass security in the Tom Bradley International Terminal at LAX it is the first thing you see! Super convenient to start your trip! The service is always excellent and the lounge is always kept clean! Always a wide range of food that is delicious. Get them M&m's on the way out!!!

Similar to other reviews, the furniture could really use some TLC, or in general replacing as some of the chairs have seen far better days. I didn't love that to get an espresso martini I had to go make the espresso myself and bring it to the bartender but... I get it I guess? It's complimentary so I can't complain. It was atleast a decent espresso martini. The food offerings are always tasty, although cups for water/beverages seemed to be in short supply and the mats they were on didn't seem appealing. After a long 15 hour flight from Sydney the showers were a very welcomed amenity and I will say VERY clean. I appreciated how often someone was in the restroom cleaning in general. Anyway, this lounge is a neither a hit nor a miss, has some room for improvement considering centurion has this allure of exclusivity and being "top tier". IMO it was just OK.

It's conveniently located right next to security in Tom Bradley terminal. They close at 10 but the bar closes earlier. It's very small and crowded. It's ok as a last resource or if you need a bite. Delta Skyclub is significantly better. The workers seemed tired but were nice about it.

Not a horrible lounge by any means but I was expecting more and less Less people, they were being very strict with the guests when we walked in but there were still a lot of people there. The food was mid as can be. Not bad but not good at all, just mid. I agree with others that this lounge feels like a just a bunch of weird rooms put together and it felt more like mishmash of different places. The bar was great and the bartender was very pleasant. Victoria had a really relaxed demeanor and got to know everyone. Gave it a local bar type atmosphere even though it's mostly transients. She fixed us her own version of an Old Fashioned and three them later, I am a fan Better than other lounges I've been in but I wasn't blown away by

Always a great experience at the centurion lounge. I did not have any issues checking in at the front counter. As always, you present your AMEX plat card, form of ID, and your boarding pass. Upon entering, you'll find the food buffet to the left when you enter and more seating to the right of the entrance. Food today was relatively simple, a lentil soup, red pepper soup, grilled chicken citrus, pasta, 2 different salads, and cookies for dessert. We got in around 9:15 and were able to grab a drink before they closed the bar at 9:30. At first, it seemed a bit small inside with limited seating, but that's because we didn't turn the other corner and see the additional seating available.

Heading out of town on business during a rare severe California storm. Out of an abundance of caution, showed up at the airport super early and ended up having a few hours to kill. So I did the only thing that made sense in these sort of airport scenarios, and headed to the Centurion Lounge. Honestly, it's mid-range as far as lounge experiences go. Not awful but not stellar. Very comfortable, understated. A quiet respite from the hustle and bustle of LAX. Hot Breakfast service begins 30 minutes after the lounge opens. It was ok. Kinda gave me hotel hot breakfast buffet vibes - which is nothing to complain about (especially when it's free). Honestly rather lovely when considered vis a vis an up-charged Starbucks breakfast in the terminal. Overall, a decent place to relax while waiting to board.

Got in to eat some breakfast thanks to my Brother in law. Decent selection of food for breakfast-eggs, bacon, avocado toast, sausage, pastries, fruit, juice, coffee.... Food was pretty good, scrambled eggs were some of the worst I ever had. Weird texture and no flavor at all. Didn't get anything to drink at the bar. Bathrooms were nice and clean. Nice place to eat and chill for a bit before your flight.

One of my favourite lounges. Really like the food here and the service has usually been good in the two times I've been here so far. They have a sleeping room and also areas where you can work. It's spacious and has two bars. This lounge is for specific American airline cards so make sure to double check before going as a credit card is required. Highly recommend if you are at LAX. There usually is a wait and I had to wait about 20 minutes.

The Centurion lounge is a Lounge exclusively for AMEX card holders located in LAX's international terminal Bradley. Now, I personally get to the airport early, and you can enter the Lounge up to 3 hours prior to your flight time. Have been here on several occasions. I may have been one of the lucky few as the longest I have waited was about 30 minutes, but most of the time it has been at most 5-10 minutes of wait time. The food, is okay, would probably equate to an average small buffet style. Usually there is 1 meat dish, maybe a vegetarian dish, and then a couple of side dishes as well as salads for dinner. Hot breakfast starts at around 6:30 am (lounge opens at 6 am) and usually consists of at least one egg dish and some breakfast meats and potatoes. Again, solid, not gourmet foods. Non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages are also complimentary, and have never really had to wait either. They are rather generous with the pours. The staff is always attentive and promptly have serviced us. There are several other services provided (have not tried cannot comment on them) including massages and showers. The bathrooms are miles cleaner than anything else in the public portion of the airport, which is a plus as well. Again, I don't think this is the creme de la creme of lounges, but it is a solid option for AMEX users prior to any flight. Recommended for anyone flying out of LAX, however caveat being, there may be other lounges available to you (Admirals lounge, Alaska lounge Etc..) that may be more your cup of tea.

After reading reviews and now experiencing it myself, I do agree that it feels very cramped. The seating areas are compartmentalized which makes it feel inhospitable. Out of all of the Lounges I've been in, this one doesn't have that "welcome in" effect that we look for in lounges. Further, I'd much rather have a view of the airplanes over a view of an escalator. On the one side is a bar that encroaches in the walking space meaning people have to traverse one at a time or risk bumping into each other or the barstools. I will say though, I did appreciate that there was a quiet room with a tv showing kids channels for the younger crowds.

Good comfort food is what you'll expect. There's a variety of options like soup of the day, salad, appetizers, main entree which most of the time moist chicken dish, sides like my fave heirloom carrots and dessert like the churros pudding and there's always chocolate chip cookies. You can also grab fruits like bananas, oranges, and apples. I notice an M & M dispenser which is cool for the kids and kids at heart. The bar is ready to service your cocktail and other beverage items. Service is good staff are fast and efficient. They on top of clearing your plates once done eating. Casual vibe with huge TV in the bar for sports enthusiasts music is average in terms of loudness.
