My partner stayed here mid week and had an excellent stay. Great sized room, comfortable bed, perfect location as a base for all Adelaide city has to offer. Room service from the restaurant was delicious and delivered quickly and hot. Visiting the cafe at breakfast time is essential, the in house pastries are amazing!! Can't wait to try them again.

Fantastic boutique hotel in the city. Much quieter than I was expecting. Beautiful decor and rooms. Bed was very comfortable and the shower was good. Room was a perfect size as we were out most of the day. Parking available but not onsite, but it was ok. |Close to everything in the city including the tram. Would definitely stay again.

I can highly recommend this hotel. The staff are fantastic. Newly renovated The beds comfortable and pillows and bedding fantastic. Comfortable chairs in room. Great bathrooms, towelling and toiletries. There is a French Restaurant which is not really our choice of cuisine. I recall it previously being more "middle of the road". Near to Rundle Mall and the Glenelg tram stop. We always stay here when n Adelaide.

We arrived around 8:30pm at The Chancellor hotel the day before Good Friday 2025. The check-in was very smooth, the hotel had kept the keys and check-in formalities ready. Interestingly, they have a small 3-4 car parking strip (more like a drop off zone) right in front of their side entrance on Gilbert Pl to park your car for a few mins, while you unload your luggage and get the paid parking voucher from them for the Wilson parking 5 mins walk from the hotel. Such a boon for guests. |The room was great, quite spacious given it was located in the CBD, modern décor, good lighting, modern clean toilets with plenty of towels, toiletries and a hair dryer. The carpet of the room looked new and freshly cleaned, the study desk and a chair, 2 single-seater chairs with a small table, a mini-fridge and plenty of tea/coffee /sugar sachets (refilled everyday) with an electric kettle. The beds had crisp clean linen, the pillows were great, and the bed was super comfy! Loved every aspect of the room, especially the fact that it was 1 street off Hindley St and 5 mins walk to Rundle St malls, in short bang in the centre of the happening part of city! Another great fact was the wifi in the hotel was superfast and my family felt it was even better than the NBN connection which we have at our home.||Couple of suggestions - Adding a microwave in the rooms can be a big benefit to the guests who have certain restrictions or certain medical conditions, they can purchase their food, store it in the mini-fridge and reheat at their comfort and as per their needs. Adding a security locker and cupboard to keep clothes will definitely be practical and help the guests, otherwise they have the feelinf of "living out of their suitcase".||The hotel also had a barista for coffee, restaurant cum bar which served breakfast, lunch and dinner and drinks. There were some great pubs next to the hotel at the end of Gilbert Pl, 50m from the hotel. Don't worry, the sound proofing was amazing and no noise came into the room from the corridors, the adjacent rooms or the streets where people partied till early mornings. The customer service of the Reception staff was very good. Another interesting point which was also a life-saver for us – The hotel has a late-night pizza menu in-service only for the hotel guests which was great as our Kangaroo Island trip finished after 11pm and most decent restaurants were closed by then (except the fast food chains like McD or Hungry J) and this was the only was of getting some food without going out that late at night.||Overall, a great hotel, definitely value for money and will recommend others to stay here, will stay again if I am visiting.

My stay at The Chancellor on Currie from 15 to 17 April 2025 was extremely disappointing due to the loss of a jewellery box containing gold items valued at approximately $2,000. These pieces held not only financial worth but also deep sentimental value.||||I last saw the jewellery box on the bedside table early on the morning of 16 April before leaving to attend my graduation ceremony. It had been a full and busy day because of my graduation and other plans in the afternoon and dinner and at first I thought I might have simply misplaced it. However, after returning later that evening and thoroughly searching the room, I realised it was missing. The room showed no signs of forced entry or disturbance.||||I reported the incident to hotel staff immediately and followed up with a formal email to management. To date, I have not received any updates or follow-up from the hotel, which has left me extremely disappointed. I have also lodged a police report regarding the incident.||There are significant security concerns at this property. There are no security cameras in the hallways, which makes it difficult to verify who may have accessed the room. Adding to my concern, my parents were staying in a separate room on the same floor, and housekeeping clearly serviced their room but not ours during the day, even though neither of us had placed "Do Not Disturb" signs which raises serious concerns about room access.||||While I understand it is unlikely the jewellery will be recovered, I do believe I should be fairly compensated for what has happened. I also had an upcoming booking in June, which I have since cancelled, as I no longer feel safe staying at this hotel. This experience turned what should have been a celebratory occasion into a distressing and unresolved ordeal. I would not recommend this hotel to others based on the lack of security and lack of accountability from management.

In reality you get what you pay for here, or are willing to pay. The mini bar prices were disgusting. $4.50 for s standard size chocolate bar, $4.50 for a can of coke. I can't imagine it would cost $3.50 to keep a can of softdrink cold. Hotel was charming in places. No outdoor area to sit and relax. Gym was mediocre. Hotel staff were pleasant. Bed was comfy. Room was small.

Room was very spacious and comfortable. Only thing missing was normal hotel breakfast dining. More of a cafe style and quite limited. Good central city location, short walk to car parking to/from hotel.

Fantastic loaction, right next to EVERYTHING! Very helpful people and a super comfortable bed. Breakfast was delicious but a bit pricy, and the comfy chairs in front of the fire were great to relax in.
