I hadn't seen my friends in a long time, so during my visit to Toronto we decided to eat at The Chase. One of my friends made a reservation for the 4 of us and it turned out to be a great choice. The restaurant was warm and cozy and everyone who worked there was really nice. It wasn't very busy, which was nice, and we were lucky to have great seats with an amazing view of the city. The food and drinks were excellent. The shrimp cocktail was fantastic and our mains, including the steak and two pastas, were all really enjoyable. We spent a lot of time just chatting and catching up. For dessert we had ice cream which I absolutely loved. Overall it was a really pleasant experience and I would definitely come back.

Will be back again. Round 2- potentially it was a mass event oversight. Fine dining mindset but cut some corners during their set price nye menu. Presentation was gorgeous, ambiance and setting was great. Poor service and execution, dishes didn't come at the same time for our table and also tables that were sat after us were served before we were. Maybe if they had flow issues, time the seatings to the same time and run the food out in waves? I think it wasn't really a cuisine/service quality focus for this occasion, great price though for the menu selection and also well executed nye event, decor, staff, accessories and even a champagne toast. Some ingredients were prepped potentially a day before and you can really taste it some stale notes. Service was somewhat disorganized, we were forgotten many times over to other tables that were more alcohol flowing. Our flow was ok, but multiple times forgotten. Even the alcohol that was ordered. Food came before a beer pour. Bus team/ cutlery runners were great! Kitchen worked really hard for volume flow - super ontop of the plates. Thank you for asking after payment how service and everything was. If the team was watching, it should had been caught during service. Will be back again to try again and review my review.

Celebrated my birthday at The Chase with a group of close friends and it was perfect from start to finish. The room has that sleek, celebratory vibe—great city views, beautiful plating, and a playlist that keeps the energy up without being loud. Service was spot-on: warm, attentive, and perfectly paced so we never felt rushed. Highlights were the oysters and seafood, an excellent steak, and cocktails that were as pretty as they were balanced. They added a sweet birthday touch at the end, which made the night feel extra special. If you’re looking for a place to mark a milestone, The Chase delivers.

What a fabulous team dinner for 7 of us to celebrate our great work! Everything was wonderful but the focaccia was unbelievably crisp and flavorful. The octopus was perfectly tender. Everyone loved the strip loin and my lobster pasta was amazing! Thank you for a great night!

We recently celebrated our wedding at The Chase, and we truly couldn’t have asked for a more incredible experience. From start to finish, the entire events team was so thorough, professional, and genuinely dedicated to making sure every detail was perfect — a special shoutout to Kelly, who was an absolute joy to work with throughout the entire process. One of the things that made our day feel so special was the attentive service. My husband and I even had our own dedicated waiter, who made sure we always had a drink in hand and didn’t miss out on any of the amazing food. It allowed us to relax and really enjoy every moment. And the food… it was absolutely delicious! We worked closely with the team at The Chase to create a menu that felt personal to us, and they delivered beyond our expectations. Our guests are still raving about how incredible everything tasted. So many people told us it was the best food they’ve ever had at a wedding. To top it all off, we danced the night away under the twinkling patio lights, which created the most magical atmosphere and the perfect ending to a perfect day. We’re so grateful to everyone at The Chase for making our wedding so memorable and seamless. We wholeheartedly recommend them to any couple looking for a stunning venue with an amazing team that truly goes above and beyond.

The restaurant sits on the top floor of the building, and it’s absolutely beautiful. There’s a stylish indoor lounge, a sleek bar, and a rooftop patio that feels perfect for a night out. Even on a summer evening, the space feels fresh and welcoming, with just the right amount of buzz. We started with white wine and cocktails.; couldn’t pass up on the fabulous patio vibes. We ordered Summerlicious menu. The appetizers were great start to our meal. “Baby Gem Salad” was fresh with a nice dressing. “Beef Carpaccio” and “Bigeye Tuna” were full of flavours. For entrée, “Wagyu Beef Coulotte” and “Pacific Halibut” were our favourites; well cooked and paired with sauces. The “Canestri Cacio e Pepe” was fine, but didn’t stand out as much. For dessert, we went with ”Sticky Toffee Pudding” and “White Chocolate and Summer Melon”. The pudding was the highlight, and they even added a candle to celebrate our friend’s birthday; a sweet touch from the lovely staff.

The Chase truly offers some of the best customer service I’ve ever experienced. The food is absolutely phenomenal, and I highly recommend visiting on Fridays, when oysters and sparkling wine are half-price. The interior decor is stunning, and the ambiance is simply out of this world. Kudos to the management for delivering such premium service!

Google
Probably the best rooftop patio in the financial district / downtown core. They are known for it. Perfect on a summer night to enjoy breeze and the lights coming from the nearby office towers. Food is on the expensive side, but expected given the location and patio. Lots of seafood options on the menu and everything was delicious. Banana cream pie was probably the best I’ve ever had.

Yelp
Very beautiful restaurant located in the heart of the financial district. Food I would say is mediocre but expected for the financial district. Restaurants and pricing is commensurately there (i.e. expensive). Ordered the black cod, fish, miso and several apps and sides. Honestly nothing was bad but nothing was particularly good. Restaurant is beautifully renovated and on the 5th floor with a beautiful patio.

Yelp
Located on the fifth floor of a high-rise, this restaurant offers an outdoor seating option with expansive floor-to-ceiling windows, providing a stunning, open view. The lighting is deliberately dim, seemingly designed for intimate romantic evenings. Service is notably superior to Reign, both in professionalism and warmth. Thoughtful details, such as a designated coat-hanging area, add to the experience. Once you've made your decision, the staff affirms it with subtle compliments, enhancing the sense of hospitality. Every dish is meticulously plated, with tableware arranged with precision. The restaurant manager frequently circulates the floor, ensuring seamless operations. Sunchoke Soup The sunchoke delivers a flavor profile reminiscent of buttery mashed potatoes, with the soup itself offering a delicate sweetness. A layer of shaved truffle adds earthy aroma and textural contrast, while a drizzle of olive oil introduces fruity notes and a subtle peppery kick, elevating the complexity of flavors. What surprised me most was the fraîche crème at the center. The contrast between chilled cream and hot soup creates an exciting temperature interplay, while the cream itself contributes a tangy brightness and velvety richness. Beneath it, a sunchoke purée offers an even lighter, airier take on potato purée. Among soups, this one truly stands out. Lamb Saddle The lamb is exceptionally tender and well-seasoned, a stark contrast to the steak at Reign. Both pieces come with crisped skin, reminiscent of Peking duck's crackling exterior. The sauce is deeply concentrated, pairing well with the parsnip purée and a Provençal vegetable ragout. A standout element is the phyllo-wrapped parcel, filled with braised lamb shoulder. It delivers a more intense lamb flavor than the saddle itself, with the crisp pastry adding a delightful crunch. The dish excels in flavor layering, but its biggest flaw is richness overload--even with the parsnip's natural sweetness acting as a counterbalance, the saddle, braised lamb, and sauce all lean heavily into richness. Much like red-braised pork belly, no matter how good, it can become overwhelming after a few bites. Coconut Sorbet This dessert stole my heart. Compared to traditional ice cream, the sorbet is silkier, with a flavor blend of praline and coconut, though praline's bright, caramelized sweetness takes center stage. Shaved coconut flakes are sprinkled on top, enhancing chewiness and adding a whisper of tropical leafiness. The sweetness is well-balanced, never cloying. Two generous scoops disappeared in no time. Overall Impression Every dish delivered an element of surprise, making for an exceptional dining experience. While portions might not be the most filling, this is undoubtedly one of the finest date-night restaurants. From ambiance to service to execution, everything scores high marks. Compared to Reign, the distinction in hospitality and attention to detail is undeniable.

Yelp
I had no idea this restaurant was here in the Financial District, but I'm glad I found it because it is a bit of a pseudo hidden gem. The Chase is an upscale restaurant with a specialty in seafood, they even have a raw bar menu! The restaurant has a super aesthetic and chic interior and its location makes for a great place for a nice business lunch or dinner. FOOD (4.5/5) I ordered the Grilled Branzino as a main, had the Brussel Sprouts and Fries as shared sides, and the Caramelized Banana and Ginger Cake for dessert. The branzino is served with swiss chards and a zucchini puree. The swiss chards and puree didn't really feel like anything special and was a bit underseasoned. However, the branzino itself was superb! Crispy skin, tender and flaky meat, light glaze and well seasoned! I initially wanted to order the Miso Glazed Black Cod but could not justify the $23 premium over the branzino. The branzino satisfied what I was looking for in a cooked grilled fish dish. As for the sides, the fries were standard cut (not shoestring nor wedges) and were seasoned with truffle parm and a side of aioli. The brussel sprouts were roasted topped with a sweet cider gastrique/glaze and crispy shallot bits. Really recommend the brussel sprouts to share with the table! I typically enjoy any sort of banana-based dessert, but I was a bit skeptical how the ginger was going to fit in. I'm so happy I still decided to order it because it was a perfect balance of everything. The cake has a mild sweetness and spiciness from the ginger, akin to how cinnamon is in other desserts. It was topped with half a caramelized banana, cream cheese icing dollops, and a crisp to add textural contrast. The dish was surrounded with a caramel-esque sauce that you can swirl every bite with. This was a perfect dessert for the fall time, embodying warm ginger and coffee notes, moist cake, and sweet caramelized banana and caramel. Highly recommend! AMBIENCE (5/5) You have to take an elevator to the 5th floor where you'll be greeted with the hostess stand. There is a enclosed balcony 'patio' that would be fantastic for summer time brunches. Around the corner is the bar then the main dining area which is decorated with modern but eloquent furniture and plenty of natural light. VALUE (4/5) Although on the pricier end, the service and quality of food is noticeable. A big part of the dining experience is the interior and having and almost panoramic view over Yonge St and tons of light. A good option to take clients without breaking the bank too much. LOCATION (5/5) Located in the heart of the financial district on Temperance (between Queen and King stations) it is very commutable and walkable. The main entrance is down a little alley beside the Chop Hop and is served via an elevator so is accessibility friendly as well. Parking, like any downtown spot, would be pricier. OVERALL (4.5/5) I thoroughly enjoyed my lunch at The Chase that came with good service, nice vibes and ambience, and great tasting food. I'm curious if the evening becomes an intimate date night spot, or if it still feels more corporate-y given it's location. In any case, I will definitely return for a future business occasion.

Yelp
The Chase is a gorgeous venue giving a comfortable but upscale feel. I could probably write an entire paragraph just on the crispy cauliflower (I wish I could have that with every meal it was so good) and we also enjoyed the ñ the avocado and lobster starter, the halibut dish (which was excellent all around), the miso glazed cod (the fish was fantastic, the greens accompanying it left something to be desired), and the toffee cake was the perfect sweet to balance the meal!! I will say our server went from helicopter mom which was made it difficult to fully enjoy the meal to nowhere to be found when we were ready for the bill. I really enjoyed the mocktail options as one of us is a non-drinker. Would absolutely return!

Yelp
We just went for a drink after walking past The Chase. The space is cute and it's sort of a rooftop which is nice! We enjoyed the space and the drinks!

Yelp
The ambiance is amazing. My husband and I were sat on the outside cover patio for our lunch. It was snowing so it looked like a winter wonderland. The food was amazing and presented very eloquently. Perfect for my birthday celebration. The staff were very friendly and attentive. Would highly recommend.

Yelp
Went for an event. This is kind of hidden in an alley near the corner. It has standing and seating space. Good mix I thought. Food was good, some delicious particularly the crab roll. They also opened their rooftop patio. Cool evening heaters on, it was a beautiful evening. Service is friendly.

Yelp
The bae surprised me with dinner at The Chase. It was both our first time here & everything was absolutely delicious. I love the romantic vibes and ambiance. . . . 1/2 dozen oysters 4/5 ($28) Focaccia 4/5 ($14) Lobster Tagliatelle 5/5 ($55 - MP) Lamb 4/5 ($68) $$$$ . . Absolutely enjoyed all the foods we ordered! I'm not a oyster eater at all, but I tried the raw oysters & they were super fresh! Focaccia bread was so so yummy and it tasted so heavenly with the whipped butter. My entrée... the lobster tagliatelle was a GAME CHANGER. Lobster was cooked perfectly, pasta was the perfect texture and the cream sauce was so flavourful. It was probably the best pasta I've had. My bf's lamb was also cooked well and seasoned perfectly, but portions were way too small. Overall we loved our dinner & enjoyed our date night so much.

Yelp
This is one of those rare cases where the reality lives up to reputation. Most of the food here is exceptional - I would definitely recommend selecting their seafood based dishes, which arrived to the praise of the whole table. The appetizers and sides were slightly disappointing, if only because they were so highly priced. Service is, of course, faultless. A really, really beautiful place! Modern but not cold, the ambience would be lovely for a quiet lunch or a celebratory dinner. The elevator might need an upgrade though - the dimly lit cubicle didn't seem to quite fit the restaurant's image. :P

Yelp
This is a beautiful restaurant right in the financial district. The decor is chic and the layout is very functional. It definitely caters to a business crowd, and everyone was very well dressed when we came in for a work lunch. We had drinks, the agnolotti, steak tartare, and fries for the table. The food was solid but wasn't really memorable. I'd likely come back for a work meal but might look elsewhere if I fancied going out for food with friends. Gorgeous though!

Yelp
This restaurant's presentation is cozy and warm. Food came in about 20 minutes, for starters I got the caviar with Mozzarella id give that an 8/10 alongside with that was bread that was extremely fluffy and tasty. service is nice and people were friendly. For my main i got the lobster spaghetti and it was delicious

Yelp
We've been to The Chase a few times but it was my first time on the rooftop. Service was amazing! Our server had great personality who had a good humour and attentive to our needs. The rest of the team was also lovely. We had to take our toddler for a tour to distract him before the food arrived. Everyone including the Food Runners, Expediters and Bartenders greeted my son and gave him pounds as we walked by. It's these small gestures that show how trained and engaged the staff is. Food was good, highlights were the crab appetizer and truffle fries. Definitely not a cheap dinner but you are paying for the ambiance, decor and service. Our Server surprised us with desserts because she knew we were celebrating. What a kind gesture! Dining environment was sophisticated, warm and cosy (we had a booth). Safety protocols were in place, every table was well spaced out. We had a lovely dinner thanks to the team!

Yelp
This lovely seafood forward restaurant had outstanding service, much like everything in Toronto. However the food slightly missed the mark. It is a beautiful and we were able to enjoy the patio.

Yelp
I enjoyed the dinner everything was great. I love how the seafood platter(diamond) had Soo many choices of seafood. Honestly of we just got that have it was a chardonnay or a bubbly ummm fantastic! The choices of seafood there are the raw section and the cooked section. The view would of been perfect of they weren't having constructions. Out of all the cooked for I enjoyed the avocado crab roll and the cod the most. The grill sea bass was ok, I felt like it was missing something. At the end of the dinner was I just sensitive or it was just too much seafood in one go. I got a lil upset stomach... My family was fine so most likely it's just me Oh I really like their black forest cake delish!!! I would still go back to try other things that were on the menu!!! The place in general was a lil hidden away. If you don't pay attention you would walk pass it and walk back and forth wondering where it is!!

Yelp
I've wanted to try The Chase for many years after hearing about its decent seafood dishes, and was excited to finally dine here. We got seated in a corner booth by the window and it was so nice and spacious but at the same time, super cozy. The couch was comfortable and we were able to look out and see the rest of the diners. We ordered everything to share between the three of us, and started with a modest seafood platter. I don't care for shrimp but my friends thoroughly enjoyed it. I love oysters so I went to town on those. They tasted very fresh, especially with a spritz of lemon. Our main dish was delicious, the meat falling right off the bone. I also really liked the fried oyster mushrooms and the fries. So good! The Chase is worth giving a try!

Yelp
Don't let the somewhat dirty elevator fool you--once you get upstairs, the space is beautiful. Very pretty restaurant. We both had seafood and really enjoyed it. The scallops were perfectly cooked, and the corn it came with was very tasty! The portions were a bit small, but everything was delicious otherwise. Our server was friendly and checked in regularly. Most of the other diners appeared to be an after-work crowd when we went for dinner, but this would also be a good date place.

Yelp
With the pandemic this past year i haven't had much chance to dine out. But with the recent reopenings I was able to do a lovely patio dinner here! They have one of the best rooftop patios in the city - it's nice and quiet and the food was just spectacular! They don't have a ton of items on their menu but every dish we tried was executed to perfection and the taste was just incredible. Perfect restaurant for some lovely ambience to chat, catch up or celebrate special occasions! Tuna tartare was delicious and fresh. Love the hint of peppers and the olive tapenade and capers - both latter items I generally don't like to eat but mixed together on a crostini, Delish! Dungeness crab was phenomenal . The two accompanying sauces for the dish really elevates the taste and sweetness of the crab. Def one of my favourites. Halibut was also amazing. Fish was cooked perfectly, the sides were great - morel mushrooms, pickled ramps and asparagus in a beurre blanc sauce just ties it altogether. Truffle fries were so so good. The truffle bits with Parmesan on top and the truffle dip. The perfect side to the halibut and it was finished in minutes! Staff were attentive and friendly and even though we didn't order dessert they surprised me with some madeleines for my birthday :) definitely would come back again!

Yelp
The food was great, seafood was very fresh and the meat was cooked just right. Service was also fantastic.

Yelp
Came here for the 1st time in April for a private event. Had several Cloud 9s, and they looked & tasted amazing. The Spring Sangria was good too, though I'd recommend sticking to the Cloud 9 (as a more unique drink). For food, we had hors d'oeuvres (food was ordered by the host). Although we didn't have seafood, the hors d'oeuvres were still amazing. The rooftop patio with an openable (& closable roof) seeems versatile (& suitable) for both Summer & colder weather.

Yelp
Wonderful dining experience in a beautiful restaurant! My husband and I recently went here for our anniversary and we were delighted at the experience. Food 5/5 The food was amazing! We shared the Hamachi Small plates and it was definitely small but just right since we were ordering a main and dessert as well. The scallops were cooked perfectly and they paired so wonderfully with the rest of the dish. The agnolotti was surprisingly the best pasta I've ever eaten, ever... And it was vegan! I was sooo shocked, and so was my husband! I decided to try it because I'm allergic to dairy and I thought maybe an upscale restaurant might put more effort into a vegan dish, and did they ever! The dessert was heavenly, sticky, gooey, and sweet, and the little cookie that said happy anniversary on it was a nice touch Staff 5/5 Our server was incredibly nice. You could tell he was really busy, but he was so well prepared and attentive despite the rush. The other servers who waited on us were very friendly as well. Atmosphere 5/5 The restaurant has an interesting shape. There's a long L shaped hallway that leads to the main dining, and there are seats along that hallway as well. The pictures I've seen of this restaurant so far do not do it justice! This was definitely one of the nicest places I've been to. Would recommend to anyone!

Yelp
Great food and service. We were a party if 12 crammed at a table for 10 so they added another small table when requested to make it more comfortable. Plenty of plant based options and they were willing to make as many gluten free as possible too. The restaurant is open and trendy and there are individual washrooms downstairs. There is an elevator to the upper level but we did not see that. They made a delicious pineapple mint cucumber ginger mocktail for us while others had wine and other drinks. Meal, drinks, tax and tip came out to about $93pp. We were a little confused to see tax charged on the gratuity. Is this a normal thing??

Yelp
The shrimp and grit's aroma proceeds the actual dish... if only I could capture the smell to share with you. Taylor explains it's a dish he's been tinkering with for years to really highlight his commitment in using ingredients that can be sourced within 100km of the city. K2 Milling's red crow grits sits in a sea buckthorn hot sauce, rosemary oil and pork stock; each grain filled with so many flavours, then taken to another level with chunks of melt-in-your-mouth smoked pork hock strewn throughout. Crowning the dish was a single shrimp grown in Stratford, Ontario, the local farm raising Pacific white shrimp sustainably. The sustainability theme is in each element of the dish - even the garnish of deep fried wild onion roots, which adds a delicious sweetness instead of getting wasted. A dish that looks like spring is the bison. Indeed, you don't normally think of this wooly game meat during a flowery season, but all the beautiful garnishes makes the plate seem like a flower box. The bison is quickly cured and served carpaccio style with dollops of smoked buttermilk, pickled ramp, wild watercress, and toasted hemp hearts. Each bite is interesting thanks to the varying flavours and textures. The raviolo arrives like a bright sun, plump from being stuffed with an egg yolk and thin layer of truffle. In lieu of a cream sauce, it's topped with truffle gastrique sweetened with maple syrup and chervil water. Of the meal, it's perhaps the most educating dish as Taylor explains how the herbs are cultivated using hydroponics (a new technology that raises herbs using water and fish in a closed loop system) and even provides diners with tips on how to ensure the pasta is cooked while the yolk remains molten: insulate the egg, regulate the pasta's thickness, and never let the water temperature drop. While the raviolo looks impressive, as soon as you cut through the pasta, the yolk is so runny it simply gushes out and mixes into the other liquids. Which could be okay, but there's perhaps too many elements and flavours that it just didn't tie together. Sadly, the mild truffle really didn't stand out. If anything, aside from the egg, a sweet herby flavour was most pronounced.

Yelp
We had a great dinner here! Small menu with delicious dishes, I recommend getting a bunch of starters (hamachi and ahi tuna my favorites) and share, then a few mains if still hungry, the menu has a vegan option to die for! Service was good, prices were about right, ambiance was amazing. I really recommend this restaurant if you're visiting toronto or just wanting a good dinner!

Yelp
A bit of a late review after my recent visit here and after soooo long and it was just as amazing as I remember! Too bad the weather didn't allow for patio dining, but it didn't put a damper on my dinner!!! It was so nice to see the staff after so many years and I'm so glad that they've stayed on board! I was also happy to see many new faces as well! The service and food here are top notch and the main reasons that I keep coming back! TY to Brendan and the staff for your hospitality! Our hostess was so knowledgeable and accommodating, esp with dietary restrictions and accommodations. This is one of the BEST and most accommodating venues for those with allergies, dietary restrictions etc and it's appreciated! TY for a wonderful 'homecoming' for me! I'll be back soon!

Yelp
I came here with my best friends for my birthday dinner and had an amazing experience. Our server Tara provided us with excellent customer service. She was attentive, kind, and helpful. This level of customer service was unprecedented- you never see things like this in the states. She was quick with providing cocktails and our entrees. We ordered the scallops and the sea bass and both were cooked to perfection. Crisped on the outside and tender and flavorful on the inside. The views were also amazing!!

Yelp
I ordered charred sea scallops and rapini. Both dishes were extremely salty and greasy. The scallops weren't even browned, never mind charred; they were milky white. At least they weren't overcooked, and were of decent size. I love rapini, so was happy to see some for delivery. But really, just treat it with a bit of olive oil, acid and garlic-- no need to try to dress it up in salty, greasy sauces. I had to take 2 T of oil off. The ideas are great, they just need the recipes honed. That said, 2 small dishes was over $52, which is in the expensive side fir not getting basic seasoning right-- and I usually like food a touch on the salty side.

Yelp
Definitely a busy place on a warm summer evening. Great bar scene! Mother of Pearl seafood tower was excellent. Wine selection was wonderful. Wish they had one more person to help at the bar because we probably would have enjoyed another glass of wine. Other than that - everything was excellent.

Yelp
Enjoyed a fabulous Winterlicious lunch today. It was absolutely flawless, everything from the food, value and service! Winterlicious runs until Feb. 8, so if you're interested, you should definitely consider coming here. It's a 3 course Prix Fixe lunch for $28. It was top notch service starting with our server who was very helpful and the staffs were super attentive with clearing our plates and refilling our water. I was also very impressed with the timing between each course. As a starter, my friends and I selected the seafood salad which had a good variety of shrimp, mussels and squid which was delicious. We also got the same main course which was the sea bream fillet....perfectly pan fried and it was so flavourful with olives, capers, polenta and tomato sauce. For dessert, we ended up picking all 3 selections - bombolone (like donut), espresso cake and limoncello posset (like pudding). These were all very good dessert but we all thought the cake was our favourite! Highly recommend!

Yelp
The Chase hosted my client for a full restaurant buyout of 120 people on a Friday evening. Their staff was friendly, professional, and fantastic to work with, especially Hailey! They had no issues with accommodating many detailed dietary restrictions and allergies. Their patio is awesome and has a great ambiance. The large group menu selections provide lots of variety and unique entrée options. I would definitely recommend The Chase to any event/conference planners looking for a upscale, high-quality restaurant venue. I will certainly return the next time I'm in Toronto!

Yelp
I had a great experience. The service was great. We were frequently greeted, and our waiter was wonderful. The oysters and scallops were fresh and delicious. I will be going back.

Yelp
Definitely on the higher spectrum of the $$$ range. The roof level seating and outside patio have beautiful views and the staff were quick and very attentive. I'd rate the overall food however with 3 stars.  TUNA TARTARE (4 stars): Looked a bit unconventional. Had a large tortilla chip on top but it was delicious BEEF TARTARE (5 stars): Best dish of the night. This tartare, along with the deep fried brioche, might've been the best beef tartare I've had ever.  SEAFOOD PLATTER (4 stars): Not impressive but fish were very fresh and delicious. HALF DOZEN OYSTER (3 stars): I prefer my oysters a bit more briny. These were very neutral.  HALIBUT (4 stars): The picture with the full fish looked amazing and my whole table expected it to come out that way. The 2nd picture showed it deboned and therefore much smaller than what we expected. Even if the meat was accurate, it would've been much more satisfying eating it off the bone. However, the flavor of the sauce, mushroom, and fish were absolutely delicious. ARCTIC CHAR (4 stars): The fish was prepared extremely well. Perfect sear on the skin with flavor throughout the fish. The other pieces, spinach and mushroom, were completely bland.  SCALLOP (3 stars): Scallops were quite small yet prepared well with a nice sear. Wasn't a huge fan of the quinoa crisps.  DESSERT (4 stars): The caramel ice cream and cookie/brownie bits were mouthwatering. Torched marshmellows added a weird texture but they were fine.  I'd rate the overall food however with 3.5 stars.  Service was great though. They even included a complementary dessert for my father's birthday.

Yelp
We were here for a birthday celebration. Servers are all super friendly and helpful! Great energy & service! Good food, good music, good ambience! The pork back ribs wowed us! Super tasty! Really hope it can be a bit more in terms of portion. The big seafood platter is satisfying for seafood lovers! It was shared between the 2 of us and we finished it. The potato wedges with herb sauce are delicious. I love all the food I tried. We had a great night overall, thank you Chase! We will be back :)

Yelp
Been here 3 times over the last 9 months (in between the various lockdowns we had) but only just got around to reviewing, the reasons for which hopefully become clear below. The food is great and service exceptional. My first go-to as soon as I sit down in all cases were the oysters. They never disappoint. Why only 4 stars, you ask? The Chase is one of those trendy restaurants everyone's talking about, especially amongst those in the media and entertainment industry. Even people coming from out of town (NYC, LA etc) book here for business dinners. The vibe, the service are all excellent but when you hear what people are saying about the food, they tend to mention the steak, the oysters, the premium fish and the latest plant-base craze....none of which scream superior skills in the kitchen and likely not difficult to satisfy ordinary palates. This is what I found at the Chase. They clearly have excellent sources for great and even rare ingredients and they made quite sure that they are reflected in the price. However, each bite I took didn't come with inspirations I expected. After all I expect well-shucked oysters, searing steaks properly and re-heating side dishes from the latest hip plant-based suppliers could be done or supervised by a very good 2nd year sous chef in this city. And the Chase knows how to put them together for maximum effect and made sure the ambiance is there for you to thoroughly enjoy the meal. In the 3 times I've visited, I could say they were all excellent assembly of great ingredients cooked properly. The prices they charge (both wine and food), however, should come with inspirations, a different "take" on all the popular dishes in every high-end restaurants in the city. I just have yet to experiment that. Hence the 4 star.

Yelp
First time coming to this establishment. We came here in a group of four for Summerlicious 2019 on a Sunday. We made a dinner reservation. The place was not crowded nor busy. We were here until 8pm and still wasn't busy. The place was not full. There are two floors to this place, the upstairs is closed on Sundays, but has a patio and also indoor space and washrooms which can run private events if desired. Main floor is the other dining area and street patio. And the other washrooms are in the basement. There are no change tables in the basement washrooms. The place may not be the best place to bring young children for meals. Their clientele are mainly young professionals and up. Atmosphere 4/5 Really nice. Clean, modern, and classic at the same time. The booths are comfy. Service 4.5/5 Very nice, friendly, professional, and accommodating. The chef made a mistake in our appetizer order. So they gave our order for free. They also apologized. Food 3.75/5 We order from the Summerlicious and their regular menu. From the regular menu, we order some oysters and the scallop ceviche. And from the Summerlicious menu, we ordered their soup and nachos for appetizers; lobster roll, cod, and mussels for their entree; and panna cotta, S'more sundae, and lemon cake for dessert. Everything was good except the following: The scallop ceviche, the scallops were fine but the other ingredients overpowered the dish, so you can't taste the sweetness of the scallop. Either they have to reduce the other ingredients significantly or leave the scallops as a whole instead of slicing them thinly. For our entree, the bisque was nice but the cod was overcooked, so it is dry. The lobster roll could have more lobster. Similarly with the crab pea soup, it needs a bit more crab meat, just one more tiny crab leg meat would do. Overall, the food taste good. It is on the pricier side. I am just more surprised that they overcooked our cods, since it wasn't a full house, the cod shouldn't fall off the chefs' radar. But everything else was good. Price versus value, I would only go back on special occasions since I don't live or work in the area. The price of the oysters are on the higher side, so if you know how to shuck oysters and know which ones you like, I highly recommend buying some from a reputable seafood market and taking them home. It is way cheaper than ordering at the restaurant, unless they are offering better deals.

Yelp
Came here for the first time for their endless oysters and it definitely won't be my last. The service was great and servings of oyster were generous. Food: the endless oysters featured were malpeques. The oysters came with the usual garnishes. There was one sauce that was similar to a seafood cocktail sauce but the rest was your usual mignonette, hot sauce, horseradish, lemon. We also ordered the cheese biscuits in order to switch things up a bit and those were delicious with a nice sweet glaze on top. Service: they gave fresh bowls for the shells for every order replenished. We also didn't have to tell them how many oysters each time we wanted more. They just kept on bringing out trays and confirmed with us when we looked like we were about done. The waiter was very attentive and we promptly got everything we needed including refills on all the sauces. Overall will definitely be going back!

Toronto DailyLife ..

Yelp
Overall: It's okay, I expected way better Price: It is in the heart of Toronto so it is pricey as expected. I did go on a special day for unlimited oysters for $45 ish.. Portion: Not bad, lots of good quality oysters Taste: The oysters were good, the condiments I think is what made this not work. Someone needs to rethink the condiments they serve with the oysters. The purple ish thing I dont like it and for a very PRICEY AND BOUJEE place you should have many options Service: Not bad, it's not too busy when I went. Venue: Classy, nice restaurant.

Yelp
One of my favourite restaurants. Of course, you need to be prepared to pay a pretty penny, but everything is so delicious and good quality! The Dungeness crab wrapped in avocado is my go-to starter.

Yelp
Don't fear the alleyway, there is a host there with a warm welcome when you get in the door. This is one snazzy place. Beautifully decorated with high ceilings and a calm vibe, The Chase has a whole team of servers keeping everyone comfortable and full. (Even the bathrooms are beautiful!) Let's get to the goods. It was freezing rain that day, so I was happy the Tomato Soup was on the Winterlicious menu and this soup was epic. It had shrimp, smoked bacon, sour cream and milk bread topped with monforte cheddar. Hearty! Each bite was different. It hit the spot after coming in from the cold. Keeping the comfort food vibe alive, I had the Littleneck Clam Linguine. The sauce was creamy and complimented the clams well. The crispy squid had a little kick! A nice addition to a mellow dish. Pasta cooked to perfection and I couldn't finish it! I tried, I really tried! But, there's always room for dessert! Feeling like a big kid, I had the Root Beer Float. This dessert made my day. The big mug and the long spoon brought joy to my face and made me forget how full I was. The root beer with the chocolate sorbet topped with raspberries was fantastic. Chocolate and raspberries are always good together, who knew root beer would make them even better?! I've never had service the way they do it here. You literally had ALL of the servers and managers come by at some point, but somehow they all came for a reason, so they weren't pestering you. I liked it. I hate needing something and not being able to find my specific server or asking someone else trying to find them. You could ask anyone anything and feel comfortable as they were all my servers and they were all able to help. Refreshing! A great experience! I'd love to go back!

Yelp
I went for a work lunch with 2 other colleagues! Ambience - beautiful space with perfect decor, we sat upstairs but I would love to go back and sit on the balcony Service - pretty good but I wish I got a bit of heads up on portion sizes since we ordered 1 appetizer to share and it was very small Food - taste and flavours were delicious and rich but still so small the size of the plates Presentation - loved the colours on the plate, you could tell that was thought of as well as how the food was served on pottery It's great for a work lunch!

Yelp
Endless Oyster Mondays $40 per person - 4/5. Fresh oysters, basic sauces & garnishes (vinegar, lemon, horseradish, tobasco) - Don't expect the fancy pepper blends. You can't complain at this price and it will keep me coming back. Molten Chocolate Chip Skillet Cookie, Roasted Marshmallow, Vanilla Ice Cream, Kettle Corn & Caramel - 100/5. This was the most delicious dessert I have ever eaten in 26 years. The other food ordered was disappointing - Fried Chicken was average 3/5, Mac & Cheese was mushy & not cheesy at all 2/5 and we asked them to remake the coleslaw and both times it was soggy and bland 1/5. The service was excellent.

Yelp
Luxurious and close by my office. Perfect for work lunches with a balcony patio. Ordered a avocado roll to share and the tuna. The tuna was perfectly cooked and melted in my mouth.

Yelp
The overall was a okay. I could have had better meal for the pricing that I paid in Harbour Sixty Restaurant. Reservations were made in advance, but was not too impressed that they seated us opposite the washroom and right next to the pass through walkway, where people were walking in and out. Quite distruptive. There were better empty seats that could fit in 5 people further in the restaurant. Service was good, the server remembered the occasion which we were celebrating, which was nice. Also, the servers and table runners were pleasant with smiles and acknowledgement when they see you. Didn't like the fact that they didn't have bread or something served while waiting for the appetizers to arrive. Overall 3/5. With food, pricing and ambience. 4/5 for the service , though.

Yelp
A solid two star. What it means, is that the food is edible and some what instagramable, the restaurant is clean looking, the servers and hosts are professional. All of these things would give a restaurant a three star rating but for the price of $250+, i had to lower one star based on value. At this price range I expected more. I ordered a cocktail, one seafood platter, two entrees and one dessert, just so I can talk about each element one might look for in a complete experience. I have been to restaurants where they lack in one or two elements but be surprising in others; one example that comes to mind is the horrendous cocktails in campagnolo but the food is worth going back to. The cocktail I ordered was plain, so I waited for the seafood platter. For anyone who's been to Restaurant Canoe, in comparison the seafood platter at The Chase (same neighbourhood and same price range) is bizarrely tiny, not at all worth 70+. So I waited for the entrees. The cavatelli was again, overpriced at 40+ for a small plate, salty, probably to dehydrate customers so they order more drinks. Which is funny, because they don't provide drink menus unless asked, and due to the scarcity of that menu, they can't let you keep it to consult mid-meal. The pan roast seafood was 50+ with more food, and a soggy piece of bread sitting in the sauce/broth/stew. At the end I just had to order dessert, so I feel more entitled to write this review. The dessert is called Lime, with ingredients such as marshmallow and white chocolate chips and a diabetes inducing sweetness that coats your tongue. All in all, not worth the $250+, and needless to say, I won't be recommending this restaurant to anyone.

Yelp
My wife and I are huge seafood eaters and when we decided to travel to Toronto for a weekend getaway we decided to look for the best seafood restaurant in town. After some research we found Chase and decided to book a dinner on our last night of the trip. We arrived and the exterior has the Midtown New York feel with the brick walls and modern exteriors. We were seated right away and the staff were very friendly and quick, however when we were given the menu, both of us were a little taken back on how limited the menu seems. As usual we decided to order several appetizers to share, which included the haidacore tuna nachos, the octopus, oysters sliders, and a warm clam chowder. The positives of the meal were the tuna nachos, with the extra rear and fresh tuna on top crisp mini tortilla chips topped with a light wasabi mayo. The oyster slider was pretty good but it had way too much breading for my taste. The clam chowder was very creamy with good chunks of oysters, while the octopus dish was the biggest disappointment. The octopus was too chewy and flavorless and I didn't like the combination of the sausage creating too much contrast. We also ordered some biscuits with honey and butter, which really hit the right spots, very moist. I had a lot of expectation for this restaurant, the service was on par but some of the food lacked the flavors I have grown custom to. Its very similar to Devon in Miami, but I would of prefer more my hometown restaurant.
