Cocktails and service were great, but unfortunately we had to deal with a rude and ill-informed manager who refused to honour some loyalty points from The Fork that should have granted £50 off the overall tab.
I have used The Fork for over a year and used loyalty points to book multiple restaurants before; it’s always been £50 off the final total, and yet the manager of this establishment felt it appropriate to argue with me, gaslight me, and tell me that the offer was only good for food, despite that not being listed on The Fork anywhere (I asked him twice to point it out for me on the app, and he refused).
We were having a great time before this happened, but it’s a real mood killer to have someone simply refuse to listen to you or provide any proof or compromise in any way. I also feel sorry for the bartender, because we thought he was great and felt bad for putting him in an awkward position.
