The atmosphere was amazing, very authentic and even though there was a lot of people it was not overwhelming. the food was extremely flavorful and there was no off textures, it was also very authentic food wise too. The service was excellent, they were very nice and even gave us the desserts for free (we tipped the desserts back on though) would 100% percent recommend for first dates, birthdays, family dinners, and even just if you want to get some good Italian food! Also very cheap for the quality, might seem like a lot but it’s cheaper than Olive Garden and chick fil a so i mean come on dude

This Italian restaurant is the BEST! The food was out of this world—every dish was packed with flavor and cooked to perfection. What really made the night was our amazing waiter, Danny. He was fantastic—super friendly, hilarious, attentive, and had amazing recommendations. You could tell he genuinely cared about making sure we had a great time and taking care or us. The whole staff was amazing and collectively did a great job taking care of us. Between the incredible food and the top-notch service, it’s the kind of place you can’t wait to visit again. Highly recommend!

A very cute and sweet little spot! This was our first time here and we enjoyed is greatly! Our waitress was the owner's daughter, which was lovely to learn it is family owned and operated. We were celebrating a birthday, so we got to enjoy a free dessert. Every staff member was incredibly kind and engaging as well, not to mention what delicious food we had! Highly recommend a meal or five here! I'm sure we'll be back!

Our favorite Italian restaurant in Denver! A unique setting in an old church. Historic indoor seating area shared with the kitchen. Great, large outdoor patio. Food is very good and the service is always interesting! Great kids specials as well.

From one small business owner to another you are very much appreciated ❤️ We were in from Chicago and wanted a nice italian meal out on a Friday night. We found this restaurant on Google and we are so happy we did! When we arrived there was a 30 minute wait, absolutely worth the wait! We never had to ask, the hostess was super sweet. As we sat outside on the benches enjoying the beautiful evening she updated us 3 times, we never had to ask. Luke our waiter was fantastic with service, recommendations and was very personable. Coming from the Chicago area we know Italian food. The food here was delicious with generous portions and really good pricing. The atmosphere was exactly what we needed. We will recommend this restaurant to everyone we know. A very at home feeling ❤️ Thank you for adding another positive memorable moment to our business vacation! I have to end this now so i can devour the dessert we brought back to the hotel 😄

We came to this place due to a YouTubers recommendation, the food was absolutely amazing, I mean real authentic Italian food, you can tell the freshness coming out of the food on every single ingredient. I mention to one of my servers, Dennis that we were here from Palm Beach Florida and he took the time to make a little list for me to places to visit and sightseeing, I thought this was very sweet and kind. If we are back in Denver, we will definitely be coming back to this here. Incredibly affordable for the service and food.

The food is very mediocre here which wouldn't be an issue if the wait times weren't egregious. To top it off, this place is extraordinarily dirty and run down. If this was a dive bar I would say it's just fine. But this is a restaurant. The wall next to the table where we were sitting was covered with a very thick layer of black fuzz that I'm hoping wasn't mold. We tried this place about 7 years ago and hadn't been back since. We went this week and now remember why.

Local owned classic mom and pop neighborhood Italian. Veal Saltimbocca was so good I didn't get a photo of it - I had more important priorities! Good cocktails and wine with friendly service - we've been several times and will continue!

We had a lovely family dinner here the other night. Because they're always super busy and don't take reservations for small parties, and we have a toddler, we showed up when they open, at 5. We started with an order of garlic bread, which was fantastic. My old fashioned was also super yummy. My husband had the meat lasagna- so good!! I had the eggplant parmigiana with a side of pasta. I thought my eggplant was delicious but the spaghetti was way too garlicky for me. However, it ended up being the only thing my son would eat besides the bread, so it worked out perfectly.

The Cherry Tomato was highly recommended by a few people within my network as a kind of hidden gem for Italian food so my girlfriend and I were stoked to check it out. Food: Overall, everything we had was very tasty with reasonable prices. The only complaint we had was that the main dishes we had (vegetable lasagna and risotto al funghi) were very salty. We do have more of a preference towards bland food though so the saltiness may be fine for the average American. Service: The service we received was immaculate! We never had an empty water glass or had to wait for much of anything. Great job staff! Ambiance: The restaurant is really cool with much of the historic aspects of the building left intact. We had a good time looking around the restaurant especially during our walk to the bathroom where there are a bunch of pictures and a map on the walls.

Excellent customer service is a rarity these days but not a The Cherry Tomato. We had friendly and attentive service last night that really made us feel welcome. The four entrees plus salads were all delicious and everyone was pleased with their individual entree. Cocktails were well prepared. We look forward to returning and sitting on the patio.

Nice, but not great. Food was a little underwhelming and the service so-so. I thought after the first visit that it had potential, but I was turned off by the service the second time. I won't return.

The Italian food is very good. The calamaria appetizer was great. We order often. It is the best we ever ate

This place does not disappoint! We've had excellent service, food and drinks. I've been twice with my family in the past few months and I got the carbonara both times. I couldn't help it! It was too good to pass up a second time. Everyone enjoyed their meal and we can't wait for our next celebration so we can go back!

One of my son-in-laws favorite places. It is a small place so get a reservation. It appears to be a good place for families as well as date night. Our service was good and folks were very friendly esp accommodating a toddler in our party. Food was very good but not great. I ordered chicken piccata and again it was good but honestly my husband makes better. My husband got the mushroom risotto and asked for scallops with it. He was disappointed they were little bay scallops but he still enjoyed it. I will say they had good cheese garlic bread but it was not made the typical way with tons of cheese. It was more subtle but the flavor was great. One thing that does need to improve is their restrooms. The toilets seemed clean enough but decorative stuff and furniture haven't been cleaned in at least a decade. I'm going to sneeze just thinking about it.

Disappointed in the take out meal. The food was ok, not great and barely any chicken in the pasta fakers. The quality of food has deteriorated recently.

I love the ambiance of this restaurant! The red sauce is also delicious (coming from someone that grew up in an Italian family)! Compared to other restaurants in the area, I think it's fairly priced! We went on a Tuesday and had no issue getting seated, but Saturday we were turned away with a 45 min wait. Please make a reservation!

5 stars all day!! I love this place. Snuggled in the Park Hill neighborhood it seems like a little gem when you stumble in to it! Service is always on and the Italian food tastes like your at a grandmas house. Just perfect! Will be back a million times over!

My first time in tonight and loved it! The building used to be a drug store so it has an old, historic vibe. Our server was friendly, funny and attentive plus wait staff were as well. Our food was so incredible good. We were celebrating my daughters birthday and she got a free dessert. I would highly recommend.

We have loved this restaurant for many years. The ambience and service are delightful! It really feels like a local pub with kids and seniors and people on date night. The food is good, not great but the experience makes it all worthwhile! Denver needs more cozy spots like this one.

In my humble opinion, Cherry Tomato Restaurant deserves a rating of 3.5 stars. When we arrived with a group of five, we were informed by a stern-looking lady that there would be a 20-minute wait. However, it turned out to be much longer than that, more like an eternity. The primary cause of the long delay was the lack of tables suitable for larger parties, as majority of the tables were only meant for four people. The quality of service was average, although the staff made an effort to provide satisfactory assistance.It was pretty busy. Fairly high priced noodles in my book. I guess that's just the usual scenario in a world where you receive reduced value for increased cost.

Came on a Wednesday night and it was packed! Good for them. Lots of different types of groups,too, families, dates, older ladies. They've got a sizeable menu and white sauce, red sauce, seafood and meat options. The garlic bread for the table is 4.95 and pretty large for two folks. Got the tortellini with white sauce it was fine. Biggest selling point here is the prices, they're really affordable compared to most of Denver for fairly good quality although I didn't try cocktails!

This is the ultimate neighborhood joint! Atmosphere, service, daily specials and flavor! Our only regret is the fact that this place isn't advertised more! You can sit at the bar and most likely be greeted with a warm interaction from Tom the owner, who genuinely wants to know how your food tasted. Jess the talented and personal bartender knows exactly when to offer you another round whilst being responsible and also gracious about providing a tiramisu to-go when coming in at closing. Seeing Tom's daughter ask if "he would like to get brunch" the next morning being Father's Day is the ultimate tear jerker. This place not only has incredible, heartfelt local Italian food. It has the family to back it. This is a must-stop the next time your in Denver.

Adorable little Italian restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating. We had a large party and the service was amazing and fast. Everyone enjoyed what they ordered. The server was super honest about how spicy the arrabiata was and suggested marinera with red pepper flakes on the side and I was super happy with her suggestion.

Friend and I stumbled across this place when we were in the area. This is a fun little gem hidden in Park Hill. We split a Caesar salad and each got an entree. Portion sizes are HUGE. The pasta Felese had a delicious cream sauce. I meant to ask for no peas, (my fault!) but I was able to move them to the side. Prices are reasonable for the area and the wine list has a wide variety of price ranges. Our server was also very friendly and attentive. My only complaint was the garlic bread - it's not complimentary. I think they should mention this when they ask you if you want it. It was also overdone and starting to burn. Still edible, but not worth $4.95. If you are in the area, check it out, but skip the garlic bread.

Ambience is great, service is friendly and attentive. Our water was never empty for long, the call to get on the waitlist was quick and simple. I was really hopeful, but the food was super salty. Anything red sauce had crazy saltiness to it. The bread was good and the seafood noodles were decent, as the seafood was fresh, but not enough white wine flavor or sauce. The chicken piccata was a bit over cooked. The bolognese tasted a bit tinney. I think overall flavor balancing could be improved. This place is so cute, wine selection is good and affordable, but the food unfortunately is not up to muster.

This place was okay. I can't rate the food but the wine was pretty good. The main draw back I had was that the service wasn't that good. We had a large table and our orders got mixed up a few times. Also if you are sensitive to smoke it's probably not the best place to go. The ventilation in the restaurant could definitely be improved.

The ambiance at The Cherry Tomato is warm and friendly, and all of the staff are nice, kind, and helpful. Unfortunately, the food was not good. I ordered chicken parmasean. Instead of a chicken breast, I was given various bits and pieces of chicken hidden by a heavy sauce and cheese, and it was only warm, not hot. I usually enjoy a thick marinara sauce, but this was simply hiding the fact that there was no chicken breast. And, worse, the chicken pieces included gristle. As we were racing against a deadline, I did not discuss the problem with the restaurant.

I've not been here before and decided to order takeout so I'm not sure what the dine in experience is like. It must've been really busy. I had called 3 times and could only order online. I typically like to talk to a human when it's my first experience just due to be able to ask questions and ensure my order is correct. I settled for online ordering. I ended up ordering the Alfredo and an order of the garlic bread. It was ready when it was stated and was paid for online so quick to pick up. The garlic bread was super tasty and baked so that the crust was crunchy. The Alfredo was basic but hit the spot. I added some pepper to it. I also had enough for leftovers. I'd eat here again! And hopefully able to go in too!

I heard very good things about Cherry Tomato, but I'm not sure if I ordered the wrong meal or if I am just used to restaurants that serve fresher ingredients. The garlic bread was good, a little burnt, but nothing to badly that I wanted to send it back; the red sauce that it came with was delicious. It reminded me of the red gravy my best friend's Nonna would make on Sunday for dinner. I figured I would try the house favorite, Pasta Felese. The bow tie pasta tasted like it was from a box. The artichokes were very salty (probably from the brine in the can) the chicken was dry, and sun-dried tomatoes were barely noticeable. The pesto white wine sauce was more of a soup. While the flavors were decent, I would rather see seasonal ingredients that would really make this dish zing. This is a neighborhood restaurant and I imagine a lot of the locals love Cherry Tomato, but it just was not my favorite Italian. I do compliment the staff, they were friendly and very attentive on my visit.

I really enjoyed this place! It was a short wait on a Saturday night with joining the Yelp waitlist. And it wasn't too loud either! I love that. The waiter was super friendly and the busboys were attentive but not too eager. Our water was always full. The rose and rye cocktail was very well balanced and wine a generous pour. There are stickers in the menu saying no house bread but garlic bread for $5... good way to upsell because everyone at an Italian place wants bread! My boyfriend enjoyed his chicken masala, and I liked the eggplant parm. The eggplant could've been cooked better as it was still pretty firm but the cheese and sauce all had nice flavor and tasted fresh. Overall for two entrees, 2 drinks, a shared bread app, and shared dessert it was incredibly reasonably priced. It's a solid neighborhood joint.

Love the pasta falese. It was so flavorful. Make sure to add mushrooms if you're a mushroom lover. The chicken Marsala was also delicious as well, but if I had to go back for a dish, it would be for the pasta falese. Make sure you make a reservation in advance because this restaurant is busy. Parking is limited, but we were able to park in the residential streets around the area.

I can't say how much I love this place! Greta service, excellent food and the vibe is so nice. I encourage anyone in the mood for great, local Italian to consider this place.

Last Saturday was the 1st night my wife and I have had out since our 2nd child was born about 14 months ago. We are both so happy we choose The Cherry Tomato! Food was amazing, our waiter was a rock star, and the time we spent was amazing. Loved the green chili ravioli's soooo good! Thank you!

Did I walk onto the set of a 90s sitcom? The place is warm and cozy, nestled into the neighborhood. A true throwback to American Italian restaurants of the past. First up was the garlic bread, it was good and totally what my parents made growing up - Is my mom in the kitchen cooking? We got the chefs special and another pasta dish. They were pretty good, not blown away but very comforting. The drinks were the most affordable I've seen in a while and decent as well.

Great food, very friendly service, and a great vibe at this neighborhood spot. The carbonara was decadent and delicious.

I went once, it was okay, I won't be back. Ordered a caesar salad that definitely wasn't a caesar salad...tasted like Italian dressing and had shredded mozzarella on top. Weird. The pasta was okay but nothing special. Check out Odyssey or Angelo's instead.

We celebrated a birthday here. The waitress was wonderfully joyful and helpful, especially with our kiddo. The food tasted delicious. Next time we will definitely try to sit on the cute patio.

Everything is delicious and I've ordered or tasted off my friend's and family's plates most everything on the menu. The place is adorably lovely. I've been going there for over 10 years and it is consistently great.

Came back for another meal and again was really glad. The sauce is so good. It's got a lovely neighborhood vibe that's laid back and the food is solid. Service is friendly and quick. Loved our meals - chicken parm and gnocchi with spicy sauce (so good). Affordable and a great choice. Will be back again.

Service was nice as well as the atmosphere and it gets crowded very quickly. A worker had his hair up in a bun on top of his head but all of his long greasy hair was out the back which grossed me out because this is where food is prepared. The chicken and the veal were both over cooked. You pay extra for veal because it's tender. You overcook it, not tender. Very skimpy on the sauces. I really can't recommend it if you want your food prepared correctly. It certainly wasn't cheap. The bathrooms were old and gross.

I have been looking for a great Italian Restaurant in Denver and finally found it. Nestled in Park Hill, on 23rd St. they did not disappoint. We waited for 20 min on a Saturday evening. Ordered gnocchi, and Seafood special with white wine cream sauce, delicious. Topped off with Lemon cake with blue berries.

This is a great Italian restaurant and has very good people that are very nice I recommend it for a quick easy dinner if you have kids there is a playground right across the street

I came here with some friends last night. The server was great.. friendly, attentive, and funny. They have a wide variety of things in the menu. My friend and I both got the Pasta Felese (pasta, peas, sundried tomatoes, artichoke hearts, white wine cream sauce); she got chicken and I did not. Our other friend got the Puttanesca. We all thought our dinners were good. My only gripe was that my dish had one sundried tomato, two artichoke hearts, and maybe 15 peas. The rest was just pasta, but it had great flavor. My friend's Felese was full of the ingredients I was lacking, so I wonder if they made them at the same time and split the dish inequitably before tossing hers with chicken? I took half of mine to go and then picked up sundried tomatoes, artichoke hearts and peas from the grocery store and added them to my leftovers, because I thought it all went well together well - I just barely had any of those things! The server said the tiramisu was homemade and I pretty much get tiramisu at every Italian restaurant, so we all split one. I wasn't impressed with it at all and wished we'd picked something else. My friends liked it okay though, so it got eaten! Overall, it was a good dinner. Reasonably priced and good service. Oh, and if they ask if you want garlic bread, there is a charge - just a tip since we didn't know until the bill came.
