The Chiang Mai Riverside Hotel

I stayed in The Chiang Mai Riversid Hotel from 30 Nov to 03 Dec 2025 the hotel is Great Thai Hotel, Highly complementing the staff at this hotel, they are welcoming, sincere, formative, attractive and attentive and helpful. They beyond excellent, they went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. They took great care of us throughout our visit. The service made our experience feel warm and comfortable. The breakfast was great, a lot of food and good variety. Room was great and fantastic. The bed was firm, and the pillows were relatively comfortable. The only comment is that the bathroom was dark and the shower area too small, recommend to install rain fall shower instead of normal shower. If I get the chance to go back to Chiang Mai, I would 100% stay at this hotel again. Well done, team, keep up the good work.

The staff and restaurant at this boutique hotel are all top notch - very worthy of our five star ratings. Could have downgraded to four stars for location, not related to the grounds and the direct riverfront offering serene views, but it is a short drive to the old town. The hotel offers car transport to old town and back which more than made up for the location being outside of the old town, hence the five stars all around. We were also so very lucky to have been here for Loy Krathong because the hotel put on a wonderful dinner with awesome food and a beautiful cultural experience for us. Overall - Fantastic. The staff were incredibly nice and helpful even though there was a language barrier at times. The suite was very comfortable and it was nice to stay in an apartment-style room after a few weeks of traditional hotel rooms! The breakfast at the restaurant was great, although, what they call a “buffet” isn’t laid out as a traditional buffet. We went to the spa and had some great massages. My one qualm would be the hotel’s distance from the center of town. On a map I thought it would be much closer, but it is pretty isolated, so you don’t have the option to wander around straight out the door.

This boutique hotel is wonderful! The staff are attentive and courteous and nothing is too much trouble. The apartments are immaculate, kudos to the cleaning team. We ordered breakfast to be served in our room and it was well presented and delicious. I stayed in a few hotels in Thailand and this was my absolute favourite. The location is not walkable but that didn’t bother us, the hotel provided a car into town and the night market or we sometimes used the Bolt App. Would stay here again.

My partner and I spent one night at the Riverside. Kwan, who seemed to be everywhere all at once whenever you needed her! provided excellent service. The staff were very helpful in planning our activities, including transfer to sister hotel for massage and onwards to airport. The room itself is spotlessly clean, large, spacious and a comfy bed. Breakfast is ordered on arrival for the next day, all which can be ordered for room service. The staff all speak great English.

Stayed in this room for one night as an upgrade for my birthday. Online the room looks a lot nicer than it really is. A lot of cosmetic defects that could really be fixed if some time and care was taken. Curtains were very very dirty, walls had stains on them and visible dust etc. Was a little taken aback considering the price point. The free buffet breakfast was very good, service was very good, location isn't the best. Def far from the city but perfect if not going anywhere.

This 16 suite hotel was probably the best value for money hotel that I have ever stayed in.|There were 4 of us staying in a 115 sqm suite with 2 bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, a dining room, a kitchenette, a living room and a balcony.|Service from the staff was very attentive.|Breakfast could be ordered the day before from an ala carte menu, with no limit on the items just the quantities. It was served punctually to the suite and nicely laid out on the dining table.|It was a luxury and a time saver. There was no need to leave our suite to go to a restaurant. The only set back was because all items had to be ready before being brought to the suite, they were a bit cold, especially the hot drinks. Perhaps some solution can be found for this. For us, it was a small price to pay for the convenience.|One issue that we had in both bathrooms was the water temperature. It simply could not keep steady.
